"sir, we have spotted the enemy a kilometre away from the camp" stated Corporal white "round up the troops and line up in standard formation" ordered Captain Murphy, looking up from his paperwork "sir, yes, sir" with his orders he stepped out of the tent then did as he was told: round up the troops and get them in standard formation.
It took about 3 minutes for the Captain, Band and Flag bearer to come and get to their positions in the front row. "Start the drumming" Captain Murphy commanded.
And so with the rhythmic marching and music they stop in a thick piece of brush. "CHARGE!" yells the captain and all the men in the squad charge straight into enemy squadron.
In the eyes of this American rebellion they were fighting for eternal liberty and an equal community that was a truly noble cause, to overthrow the British constitutional system Britain uses as they thought this was a dictatorship. On the other hand the British thought that the constitutional monarchy is completely fair as it introduced democracy and majesty from a monarch.
The rebels were now routing towards the forest and the British set up standard formations and chased them into the forest. “Hunt them down and don’t let them escape” commanded captain Murphy. So the squad followed their orders.
By the time the rebel squad was destroyed it was evening and they were deep into the forest. “Sir, it seems the battle in Boston is finished” corporal White told the captain “Any idea who won, corporal?” questioned captain Murphy “No, sir “answered Corporal White “I, have faith that our forces won” “of course, corporal, God was on their side” the captain told Corporal white “yes, sir” answered the Corporal reluctantly. There was long silence, the corporal waiting for the Captain to say something, anything. Then the Captain finally spoke “Tell the men to rest… they deserve it"
" Finally, Why did the Captain take so long to give an order?" Thought Corporal White, as he departed from the conversation.
"It does not matter anymore, I need to ease the men's minds" thought Corporal White out loud and so he did.
"Men!" the Corporal yelled, the loud chatter was cut short by the sound of Corporal White and the men stood at attention, as the Corporal was the second-in-command.
"The Captain has informed me that we can now rest and that sleep is recommended! “The Corporal informed his fellow soldiers.
As soon as Corporal finished they did so, the men decided to eat, sleep and well... Rest!
The next day...
Corporal White woke from the sound of roaring. He quickly looked at his surroundings including the rest of his squad rushing to get their guns to shoot the Manticore and to help the Captain while he was in melee combat...
"WAIT WHAT, MELEE COMBAT!!!" thought Corporal White out loud
He quickly scrambled to his musket, equipped the bayonet and charged at the Manticore and stabbed it right in the wing, but by the time that happened Captain Murphy's lifeless body was already on the floor. This really angered Corporal White, he knew there were minor casualties in the previous battle with Rebels, but this was his Commanding officer, his brother in battle, his friend. He pulled out the bayonet and the Manticore roared in pain, this gave Corporal White time to hit the Manticore in the jaw with the stock, causing it to stagger with a broken Jaw. Corporal White was not finished; he stabbed the Creature in the Neck and fired the Musket.
He pulled out the Musket and crouched down to inspect his dead CO's body, there was dead no doubt but his dead expression was... Empty and unsettling.
Corporal White stood to address his men “The Captain is dead” he then knelt down to retrieve the dead Captain’s Cavalry Sabre & sheath.
“Due to Captain Murphy’s unfortunate and valiant death, I guess I am now the leader of this line infantry squadron” Proclaimed Corporal White. Everyone seemed to be okay with this, even happy. Everyone respected the Corporal they all liked him as a friend as well, he had short-semi-bright-brown hair and dark brown eyes. He always wore the standard-issue armour with impeccable neatness.
“Now, let’s all get into standard formation” In silence, everyone did so. “FORWARD, MARCH!!!” Yelled Corporal White. They marched rhythmically with the marching music towards a less dense-part of the forest.
5 hours later
“Princess Celestia!” Called a Pegasus guard “we have found unidentified beings, during our patrol that seem to be in formation!” “How many?” asked Princess Celestia calm, but concerned “about 100”responded the Pegasus “Prepare the chariots and the guard” instructed princess Celestia “yes, Princess!” answered the Pegasus Guard reluctantly.
The squad eventually exited the Forest and stumbled upon a small town, with quite unsophisticated Architecture apart from a strange, carousel structure and what seems to be a house made of chocolate.
After a few minutes of admiring their surroundings Corporal White notices 6, Colourful? Horses…
The Elements of Harmony stopped in front of the squad each wearing different expressions.
The Orange one with the blond mane and apple tattoo was wearing an expression of amazement.
The Cyan one with wings, a messy, Rainbow mane and a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt tattoo wore an expression determination.
The very-soft pink one with a bright, curly pink mane and 3 balloons as a tattoo wearing a smile that looks impossible.
The pristine white one with a unicorn horn, neat dark-purple mane, wearing an expression of astonishment.
The creamy-yellow one with wings, hiding behind its soft elegant pink mane, though Corporal white could not see... her? Expression.
Finally the lavender one with Wings and a horn had a neatly cut mane, wearing an expression of curiosity and concern.
All the soldiers stared in disbelief at the ponies “sir,these are colourful horses”said a soldier
“I know” confirmed the Corporal “hey! We are not horses!” the cyan one retorted.
“Great, they can speak too” said one of the soldiers sarcastically.The squad broke into laughter.
“Men, be quiet, i can't hear myself think” instructed Corporal White.
“Okay, so I assume based on your expressions you have no idea what we are?” questioned Corporal White.
“No, we don’t” answered the Purple one.
“Well, first off we are humans and my name is Corporal White” stated the Corporal.
“MONSTER!!!” screamed the pink one.
“No, no we don’t mean you any harm unless we are ordered to do so ” comforted Corporal White.”Anyway What are your names?”
“My name is Princess Twilight Sparkle” The purple pony said as diplomatically as she could.
“My name is Rainbow Dash the Coolest and fastest Pegasus in all of Equestria” She said smugly.
“Where is Equestria?” The Corporal asked.That question made the six mares look at him as if he were stupid.”It’s where you are now” “where is here?” “Ponyville” “where is Ponyville?” “In Equestria!” “where is Equestria” “Never mind!”.
The conversation was cut off by the sound hooves landing on to the ground.
“Surround them!” A voice said.
Gears in the Corporal's head were grinding “SQUARE FORMATION” so,the Squad ran into square formation “Draw weapons!They come any closer you shoot!”
