//-------------------------------------------------------// A Lone Griffon -by Saberking2012- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A New Friend? //-------------------------------------------------------// A New Friend? I woke up and stretch my wings. With RD out of the picture, I didn't have any other friends to talk to.  Ah, who needs those dumb ponies anyways? Independence is better and with nopony holding you down, I could go anywhere and do anything without being stopped. I went up to Cloadsdale for old time sake and watched other ponies take the dumb test to be a wonderblot. Ha, that's a fillies dream. After about a few hours, I left and decided to walk around for a bit. I hardly saw a pony in sight as I walked around. I'll admit, I find that strange since there are usually ponies walking around here and it was still day time so what gives. And here I was thinking I could prank somepony to kill the time. Ah well, I guess I may as well go home. As I was about to start flying, it started to rain and it poured harder by the minute. I can't fly with this much rain coming down not to mention it was thundering. Guess I'll have to walk back... I continued to walk home and as I was walking down the lonely street, I noticed nopony around. I should have expected as much but still.  It was very rainy, the sky filled with dark clouds.  I just stared at the ground, noticing numerous leaves and small rocks scarred around me. I kick a few pebbles but soon stopped myself seeing no point of doing that. There was to many and I wasn't in the mood, so why even bother? As I continued to walk, I heard a soft sound. It sounded like a cat but I didn't know where it was coming from. I looked around, confused, trying to find the source of the sound. I spotted an overturned cardboard box and turned the box back over and saw a small, white kitten. The kitten stared at me with it's large, blue eyes and gave a mew sound. I picked up the kitten, noticing that it had a powder green ribbon. In sapphire letters, in fancy cursive was the name "Fluffy". I set the kitten back down and turned away. For some reason, I felt my heart turn as I realized I left a defenseless animal out here. I shook my head and I  began to walk away, not caring that the kitten was all alone. I started to hear small steps behind me so I turned around and saw the same kitten followed me, the bell on her ribbon jingling. I looked back to it, annoyed, I let out an agitated sigh. "Listen, it's cute that you want to be with me and I'm sorry that you're stuck in the rain. But I don't want anything to do with you, so could you just go away?" I asked annoyed. The kitten looked at me, almost sadly, with it's big, blue eyes. It rested it's chin on my claw and purred. It seemed very determined to stay with me. I sighed and picked her back up, holding it carefully in my claws. "All right, all right, you can stay with me. At least until we find your owner." I said, finally giving in. I picked the kitten up and started to walk a diffrent direction. Eventually, I ended up at a pet store and put the kitten down to look at some cat food. It hopped onto a shelf and began to play with a box. I walked over to where it was and inspected the box. It had a toy mouse in it. I rolled his eyes and bought it. I also bought cat food, a food dish, a water dish, and a bed for the kitten. When I left the store, my claws were full of stuff and the kitten was walking beside me. Eventually, the kitten and myself got to my home and collapsed onto the couch. I was exhausted after carrying all of that cat stuff halfway across Equestria . The kitten jumped onto the couch and laid beside me, it's nose against my leg. It purred, causing me to smile for some reason. I patted the kitten's head gently and stood back up to find a place to put the kitten's bed. I ended up placing it next to my bed and put the food and water bowls in the kitchen. It laid down on my pillow and yawned. "Oh, no. You sleep on your bed. You can stay in this building, but you sleep in your own bed, okay?" I ordered, pointing to the cat bed on the floor. It looked at me sadly, trying to convince me to let it stay. I sighed and picked her up, setting the kitten down on it's bed. I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes, ready to fall asleep. Not even a minute later, I felt something jump onto my chest. It was the kitten that had jumped onto me and curled up. I stared at it sleepily and groaned. It was then I noticed a folded paper in it's ribbon. I sat up and took it out and unfolded it. It was a photo of it as a baby. My eyes widened with surprise and I stared at the kitten. "How'd you-" I began to ask. I took a closer look at the kitten. It was a little frail, with kind, blue eyes and light gray colored fur. It's bottom paws were white, the ribbon was a certain shade of blue and the handwriting on the ribbon saying 'Fluffy'. The kitten hopped off my chest and laid down next to my head on the pillow. The kitten purred contently as I laid back down, stroking it's cheek lovingly. "Maybe I should keep it. Who would want to get rid of this innocent kitten anyways?" I whispered. It may not be something that can talk but I guess it's better then being by yourself.
