beep beep beep... SMACK
groan... its Monday, isn't it. Well... time to get up. I really hated Mondays. So bland. This was quickly followed by changing, brushing teeth, all of the other, boring, automatic tacks of the early morning Monday roughen.
"Morning sweetie!", said my aunt.
"Morning, favorite aunt Jayme", my aunt was very found of the nickname. Which was the only reason I would call somebody favorite something something.
After a moment of mucking about with my toaster I was on the road to success, or, at least, I was on the road for toast. Sadly, I was informed it was all for naught, because a tree had fallen on a power line and we wouldn't have power for a few hours. Which meant no toast. After a few moments of soul-searching I reached into the refrigerator and grabbed a apple.
By the time I was finished with the yellow fruit, my carpool arrived. Now, I could bore you with the specifics of my school day, but it was a very average day: doing school work, thinking of a excuse for the homework I didn't actually do. Things like that. Getting home was quite the ordeal though, for it seemed no one could pick me up. My grand-ma was off in New York for a visit with a friend, my grand-pa was with her. My aunt had work stuff to finish, and my dad... is probably at home, but I wasn't going to call. This left me with a nice long walk ahead of me.
By the time I was half way there, it started raining, which, needless to say, sucked. Walking along the seemingly abandoned highway, was really depressing actually. Mostly because at this point I was soaked. Fumbling along the road, socks, and shoes, getting slowly soggy. Then I saw a gas station, which must have been a gift from the angels themselves. I could only hope they had people working there. I say this because half the pumps had 'no gas' signs on them, and half the lights where either off or flickering.
Once I got inside I noticed the distinct lack of people. This normally would unsettle me, but being a dripping wet walking puddle, I didn't care. After a bit a person decided to show up. He (or she) didn't seem to notice I was inside the building. I wasn't snooping per se, but I don't think the person that was getting the restricted spying would be happy about it. Having no real reason to be doing so, I felt like silently staking this person. after a few minutes of this, I was about to give up when he (definitely a he now) went to the chips and took all the pretzels off the shelf. This, being quite strange behavior for a underpaid gas station clerk, or anyone really, provoked me to stay in the shadows for a moment longer. As it turns out, there was a button behind the pretzel row.
Many things started to run through my mind now; why is there a button, what to, why in a gas station, but I think the most active was the side of my brain currently laughing it's balls off that there was a hidden button, likely to some weird device of danger, behind the pretzels.
Once he actually bothered to get to the button pressing, a massive *SWOSH* along with the hissing of metal rang out across the station. As this happened the area of floor under me started to move. I, of course, didn't really know what to think of this. My first reaction was to run like hell, and contact the local authority, but some stupid part of me insisted I wait until the clerk went into the hole, or something came out, and go in.
"Needs a can of WD40" mumbled the clerk in sourly. He realized something was amiss. Likely from the clank of a candle hitting the ground.
I was terrified. Not knowing what this stranger could, or would, do to me if caught, was frightening. I figured that out pretty quickly with the sharp blow of something heavy to the back of the head, followed with the sensation of hitting the ground.
When I woke up I had the worst headache ever. I was also, still, terrified. like, wet my pants terrified. I was in a dark room, illuminated by a single swinging light. all around me where jars of what appeared to be jam, and some dank smell in the room. I myself was tied down. Even after a tug-of-war session with the leather binds they held fast. Now I was not only terrified, I was also beginning to get slightly aroused, but mostly terrified. I was contemplating going back to sleep, but was having no luck getting comfortable on the stone slab I found myself on. A few moments later some strange looking woman entered the room. Her eyes where completely red, like, completely, and she wore all kinds of strange necklaces, and bracelets.
she slowly, calmly walked up to me. "sit tight, and don't think. It will all be over soon". I then was filled with the most confusing sensation... ever. almost like being wrapped up in a warm hug. a hug full of reinforced steel. The strange sensation soon ended. The last thing I saw was the eyes of the woman. I think she was trying to say something, but with all the blood coming from her mouth, I couldn't tell.
My lungs started to burn. My head started to ache. My legs started to cramp. My eye sight started to blur, and then, nothing. I was inside huge room, full of chemical gasses. The room itself contained huge marble pillers
