Introduction
The beginning of the end
"2 million years ago, as the land now known as Equestria was forming. A... force, was being... "created". It was so powerful, so... pure and raw that it drastically altered the landscape around it. It altered organisms into... corrupted beasts, ones with the pure energy running through the cracks in their hardened, crystal like skin. after a chaotic event that occurred when the pure... no, magical energy combined with a chaotic energy, the "pure magic" formed into crystals as the chaotic energy seeped into the corrupted organisms forming... creatures that could channel the chaotic energy and use it how ever they wanted to. the chaotic energy... "healed" the corrupted creatures making amalgamations of all the other creatures that had yet to be born into this world, over time the crystals of pure magic sunk deep below the surface, covered by  miles of rock and dirt. Time passed, new creatures were born and events happened that formed the modern Equestria we all know today led by our glorious goddesses." The drunk homeless stallion said to the curious fillies and colts as a red unicorn stallion with a blonde mane who went by the name of Golden crest  that had been listening in, decided to speak up.
"Kids don't listen to him, hes drunk 24/7 so its best not to listen to what he says. We all Know that the word of the church of the sun and moon is the truth. Which states that Equestria was formed when the sun gave birth Celestia and the moon gave birth to Luna. After which all life forms were created in the great rains of the first 7 days of Equestria which created the oceans and lakes." Golden stated as the fillies nodded in an agreement before running off, Golden turned to walk away but the homeless drunk spoke up.
"You'll see soon, YOU'LL ALL SEE SOON!" The drunk angrily shouted.
"Yeah yeah sure, and everypony will sprout wings and grow horns." Golden chuckled before walking off as the drunk mumble angrily.
Half-way across Equestria
A illegally mining operation was going on near the crystal empire with out the knowledge of the equestrian government. The Operation had already reached record depth of ten miles below the surface. A crew of 30 ponies were working through the rock, as three unicorns were blasting away at the rocks as a large crack appeared in the wall they were about to blast and ray of super bright purple light burst through it and hit a earth pony worker in the face and he fell to the ground grasping at his face with his hooves screaming in his face. The unicorns slowly broke the wall down, shielding everypony there from the bright light with magic shields as they saw it, a huge spinning dark crystal in a huge cave. They were so distracted by the crystal that they didn't notice the cracks in the magic shields, until it was to late. The shields broke down and the crystal started glowing brighter and brighter and the work ponies started screaming as they pawed at their head with their hooves. The crystal started vibrating and glowing so brightly that all anyone in the cave could see was purple. Above the surface surrounding the entrance to the tunnel was a mining camp, it was all calm and quiet until a large blast of purple light shot out of the entrance blinding anyone in close proximity as it shot straight up into the air up into the sky, and in canterlot two certain alicorns saw this beam of light.
