"Sometimes the only way to find the real story is to dig deep," has always been investigative journalist Eff Stop's motto. However, an encounter with a young filly named Aura will force him to use all of his investigative skills to piece together a mystery combining a cold murder case in Manehattan with a series of events that have come to be known as "The Ponyville Incident" as well as a kidnapping of a group of foals in Vanhoover.

The deeper Eff Stop digs, however, the darker his world becomes. Why did the foalnappers choose who they did? What does 'Psukeineuma' mean? And most importantly, why are so many of the foals now claiming to have the same imaginary friend as Aura?
