You had lived alone in the ever free forest for quite some time, and were satisfied to live alone. Everything was fantastic. Then an earthquake hit Equestria, destroying your home and spitting you out into Canterlot. You wandered around, now homeless. Unsure about what your meaning was, or why this was happening to you. Then you remembered your 'job.'

You yell a profanity and make it an effort to trot to Sugarcube corner as quickly as possible, met by Mr Cake at the door.

"You're an hour late. Where were you?!" The orange pony interrogated.

You explain what happened, and why you were late, but Mr. Cake wasn't believing it.

"An imaginative story. But if you want to lie to me, at least make it believable... (Y/N), you're fired." He proceeded to shut the door and stand up the Help Wanted sign next to it. The same Help Wanted sign you saw when you applied 3 months prior.

You stand outside of Sugarcube Corner, homeless, single, and now jobless. What would you do now that you had no place to go? And then you realized. You were a handsome stallion. You could find a place to go. Just until you get back on your hooves. You set out in a search for a place to go.

About 6 days of searching passed, when you found yourself in the crystal empire. You looked around at the beautiful surroundings, as thunder clapped and it started to pour. Everypony rushed inside to get out of the rain, discounting you. You sat under a bench at the side of the road when a coach passed, and stopped by you.

The coach carried Shining Armor and Princess Cadence. Shining got out, carrying an umbrella, opening it and trotting up to you.
"Get in the coach... You might get flu out here..."

Cadence groaned in exasperation and discontentment as you got in the coach. The ride to the castle was silent.
