The blessing of old

"What do you wish to speak of?" navnik ixen asked. Giggling Luna motioned for him to rise.

"About a very old spell I designed to help better protect Equestria." Luna explained as navnik ixen rose to his feet. "More specifically it made the blessed stronger, faster, and quicker to react." she continued grabbing a large tome and levitating it to navnik ixen. Looking at the tome Spiritfire turned to a marked page.

"I may be able to adapt the spell for my own aura to prevent any harm to myself." navnik ixen mumbled. Taking a small pice of parchment he began to write runes in a vertical line. Holding up the revised spell he began to charge the spell, being engulfed by a crimson flame.

"navnik ixen?" Luna asked, concern lining her voice. Getting up navnik ixen groaned with patches of the flame still lingering.

"I'm fine." navnik ixen stated rotating his wrist. Grabbing his staff and leaning on it for support he spoke up "I just need some rest now.".

Charging a hooded figure yelled "wux loreat jaka!".

"No please!" Twilight screamed waking from her sleep. Within moments navnik ixen barged in staff in hand. "I'm fine, just a bad dream." she explained. Nodding navnik ixen left the room as Twilight went back to sleep.

"wux loreat jaka!" yelled once more just before being impaled on a blade.

"Dreams are not only Luna's domain." navnik ixen stated as the figure dissipated. "It is the shamans role to insure the mental and physical well being." he continued after noticing Twilight's confused expression.

"So your shaman acts as the protector of your dreams?" Twilight asked

"Yes and no." stated navnik ixen. "The shaman does not protect our dreams, but he does ensure a peaceful sleep." he finished.

"So you to can enter dreams?" Luna asked appearing from a ball of silver light.

"Apart from being self conscious of my dreams, yes." navnik ixen answered. "Shall we speak of this blessing now so all hear in one setting." he asked

"So when you attacked me you were aware it was a dream?" Luna asked.

"Yes and no, sometimes it is hard for me to differentiate dream from reality." navnik ixen pointed out. Looking around he noticed Twilight shuffle uncomfortably. Wordlessly navnik ixen and Luna disappeared and materialized on a empty silver plane. "The moon?" navnik ixen asked confused by his surroundings.

"Yes, we can discus the blessing privately here." Luna explained. Looking on Luna noticed fangs forming in navnik ixen's mouth. "It's developing far faster than we would have thought." Luna stated with a look of curiosity. "Anyways the blessing will make you stronger, faster and make you immune to dark magic's corruptive effects, but you will need to drink blood once a month, more if you fight alot." Luna finished. "Now we must take our leave, it is dawn." Luna spoke before disappearing.

"mel'nakit thurkiitu" navnik ixen greeted Twilight as she left here room.
