Author's Note
Welcome to my second attempt to write a fanfiction, please let me know if you liked it and if there are any improvements to be made. This is my first horror fic too so let me know how I did! :)
Pain
Celestia smiled as she saw her young student, Twilight sparkle. It was the middle of summer and there were very few clouds being produced at Cloudsdale. The insects have grown in numbers over the course of summer, and as a result a lot more sounds were made outside of Canterlot. Buzzing to croaks and everything in between could be heard from outside of the castle. “It's great to see you again, princess!” The young student proclaimed with glee as she jumped from hoof tip to hoof tip.
The eternal ruler’s smile widened with amusement as she viewed her protégé. “It's good to see you too, Twilight. Tell me, how have your friends been? I haven't heard much from them recently.” Celestia questioned as her horn was engulfed in a yellow aura. A single, large pillow floated by and was dropped next the the golden throne.
“Oh they have been great!” Twilight said as she sat down next to her teacher. “Pinkie has managed to find an excuse to make everything a party. Rarity has been making a new line of dresses and suites, each and every one are just utterly amazing and beautiful, like always. Applejack has recently remade her family's apple cider into a more alcohol based beverage, but still keeping the original for everypony. Rainbow-.” Twilight was cut off as a nearby door was slammed open.
“Well great, BlueBlood has arrived.” Celestia groaned as she smushed her face against her hoof. But, it wasn't BlueBlood. The throne room doors burst inward, almost taking it off of it's hinges as a guard came running in, fear within his eyes.
“Princess Celestia! Some…..thing! has entered the castle, something that certainly isn't anything we have ever faced! It'd already torn apart three guards and decapitated two others!”
Celestia rose from her seat, disbelief and shock glimmering in her eyes. Before anyone can say anything else, a guard was thrown through the door bloodied and bruised, bones stuck out of his chest and with a grunt the last of his life left his body. The sound of shuffling echoed through the hallway as a hooded figure was slowly making its way towards the room. The Ponies on guard backed away in fear with each step of the creature. As the light from the sun shined upon the creature through the painted glass, the creature raised a hand to his right eye, blocking it from view and the sun's harsh light. A moment of silence passed as the creature stood in the room with them just in front of the door that the guard previously was thrown through. With a single drop of blood from the creatures sleeve the guards galloped towards it, stapping it with the guard's swords. The creature didn't even grunt in pain. It stepped back slightly before punching both of them in the chest, each guard impacted the wall behind the throne and the ruler of the day. Without a word, it took several more steps towards Twilight and the princess before stopping and falling to its knees, the stench of a rotting corpse filled the air as celestia shielded Twilight with a wing.
“........k….ki….kill m..me.” The creature spoke, forcing the words from his throat. The ponies were taken back by this. The creature that had supposedly killed six guards, and likely two more, was asking them to kill him. No, not asking, begging. She could hear it in his 'voice’.
“E-excuse me?” Celestia stammered as she looked at the creature. He looked up at her, his bulging yellow eye stared into her rosy-ish ones. His eye wasn't naturally yellow, normally it would have been pure white. His eye had visible veins showing black like blood flowing through it.
“Kill me, ple...ase, I...I'm begging you! I can't hold it back any longer. It wants to kill you, to eat you, to infect you like it did me!” He shouted as he slammed the ground with his dead hands.
“Infect?” She said to herself. “What infected you.” That was all she had to say before the creature pulled his hood down, and what he showed them made them puke the entire contents of their stomachs. The left side of the creature head was gone, instead showing what looked like sharp teeth as long as a pencil jutting out of the massive hole that used to be a head. His left eyeball clung to the side of his face as only a single piece of long muscle was still attached to it. Three thin, but long, tentacles waved about in the hole of his head, whipping at the air around them. A large bulge clung to his brain, four stick like legs dug its way into his brain and a single black eye with a red pupil was in the centre on the parasite.
“You, have to kill it, and in turn, me.” The creature said as he a tear fell down his working eye. He looked into the eyes of the ruler, the creature vomited black bile filling the room with a disgusting stench, adding to the already existing smell. He chuckled. “Don't worry, I'm already dead, well my body anyway.”
“....what are you?” celestia asked as she wiped away the clinging vomit.
…
Silence.
...
“I'm, well I used to be Human.” The former human unbuttoned his blood soaked jacket, revealing black, rotting organs and brittle rib bones.Tentacles wrapped around his ribs to add some….. support sort of. The entirety of his chest was open, allowing any and all to view it. “Now, I'm just a monster.”
“Dear goddess!” Twilight said in horror, resisting the urge to vomit yet again.
“You have to kill me!” The human shouted as he fell to the ground, pleading to celestia. “Please, I can't bare the pain anymore.” He bowed towards the princess. “Please” The human gasped in pain as he clutched at his organs. With a scream three red tentacles burst out of his back, twisting and twitching as horrible, sicking sounds filled the room. The red tentacles chittered and cracked and it's exoskeleton rasped against one another. “KILL ME NOW! PLEASE!” Tears fell from his eyes. Before he laughed with insanity. “HAHAHAHAHA! No don't go, I want to skin you! HAHAHAHAHA! Eat your Insides!” With another scream he clutched his head. “No, stop it! I won't let you!” He stared at Celestia with fear in his eyes.
“.........what's your name?.....” Celestia asked.
“....Daniel…….” He replied. “And you?”
“.......Celestia.”
Celestia cried silently. “I'm so sorry this happened to you Daniel. This should have never happened, to anyone.”
“It's….okay, just don't make me become one of them. Let me die a human….for the most part anyway.”
She nodded, her horn lit up in a yellow glow. “Just make sure to burn my body afterward.”
“Sure. It was nice to meet you, Daniel.”
“And you, Celestia.” Without another word, she fired her pent up magic, splatting the top part of his head across the floor as the parasite scrambled and slithered before it died shortly after. The body of the former human swayed slightly before hitting the floor, decaying blood leaking out of his previous head. “T..hank y...ou.” he said with the last of his breath.
