Chapters Fallout Equestria: Sniper's Legacy
Chapter One: Raiders Gauntlet
Hello, I'm Sinon. I am a 17 year old unicorn and I have no parents. They were murdered while we were walking on a road by raiders, when I was 9. The raiders chained me and sold me to slavers for caps. I had escaped and ran as far away as I could...
...When I had stopped running, I happened to find an ancient research facility, and walked inside, for reasons of shelter and in need of food, water, a weapon and things to sell. I looked around and found some bags hidden and started making custom made saddlebags. When I finished, I started looting what was worth caps, but all I found was chems, two medical bandages, one potion, radiated water and five .50 caliber rounds.
I found a door to a basement level, which I decided to go down. There were only two rooms. The first one I went to had a terminal, a desk, and filing cabinets. What caught my eye first was a file on the desk. As I walked over to it, I saw the word "Prototype". Floating it up and opening it, I began to read some of the information:
Prototype: Sniper Rifle
Name: PGM Hecate II
Materials: Unknown metal, and zebra talisman
Ammo type: .50 Caliber Rounds
Affects: On contact, the shots might explode (90% of the time)
Talisman engraved in the butt of the gun make's it's weight zero
I looked around for the gun, but found nothing. So I looked in the desk and found seven .50 caliber rounds. Walking over to the terminal, after taking the rounds, I skimmed through it finding notes on the weapon, but nothing of importance. After leaving the room, I walked to the second room finding a lab table, a big one actually, and there was glass everywhere on the ground. The ground was covered with glass and unknown liquids. In the far corner of the room was a big case of some sort, along with a device. I walked over to the device first and picked it up.
On it was a lens that would go over your right eye. There was also a curved piece with a button that goes around the ear. I thought it looks like something on a cover for use of undercover spy wear. I put it on and hit the button on the curve part and the lens did what I thought, and went over my right eye and everything on the screen was blue. I put my hoof in front of it and it was red. This device has a thermal visor, but looks like it also has what pipbuck's have, an EFS and SATS. I decided to call it Dragon's Eye.
Turning to the big case, floating it up and laid it down in front of me; I tried to open it, but it was locked by a numbered padlock. My guess is a four number code but I didn't see the code anywhere except...looking on the floor where the case had been, and sure enough, there was a set of numbers. They were engraved into the ground, as if scratched in; I believed that they were the code for the case.
( 6 6 2 1 )
After putting in the code, the case unlocked with a silent hiss. When I opened it, I saw a weapon that was for long range firing. A sniper rifle the length of a full grown dragon's claw. Looking at the butt of it, I saw the talisman. Then just looking at the gun, I saw the same code on the gun, the same code that was to open the case, and the same numbers that were in some of the notes from the terminal that I thought was useless. What's so important about these numbers? There is also a word engraved on the body of the gun:
Ristvak'baen
Which, according to the notes, means a place of sorrow; I thought it is weird. Looking in the case again, I found a combat knife. As I was about to put them back in the case and in my saddlebags, I heard a loud noise. Hitting the button on Dragon's Eye and turned around looking to find raiders everywhere above me and some coming down the stairs. Putting the case in my bags, after putting just the sniper in the case, I went against the wall near the door, waiting for one to come in as I held the combat knife in my mouth by the grip. I don't like using my horn much but seems with the sniper rifle I'm going to have to use magic to levitate it and pull the trigger. One went into the other room, while the other two walked to my room guns ready.
As the first walked in, I stabbed him in the chest. Before the other could act, I turned and bucked him in the face. The raider that still the knife in him fired at the ground with his UZI, causing the raiders upstairs and in the other room to come this way. I grabbed the UZI from the raider and aimed it at the one I bucked and fired ten shots killing him. Then aimed at the other doorway as the third raider came into view and fired at me, I used the body of dead raider, with my knife still in him, to block the shots. I floated my gun around the body shield and fired till the clip was empty. The raider fell with a meaty thump, as did my shield, as I took out my knife. I had about two minute's tops to loot from the bodies. When I did so, I found thirty-six bottle caps and two clips of five mm ammo. Taking out the old clip and putting a fresh one in my UZI, looking around, I counted about twenty raiders with in this facility.
Slowly walking up the stairs, I was greeted by a swarm of bullets. Ducking down, I floated out my gun, scanning, and locked on to the raiders down the hall with SATS, and fired five shots. One missed, the others hit their targets, killing them. So that means eighteen left; after taking the ammo from the body's, I continued on; walking up the hall too crossroads, a right and a left. The right side had boxes for cover, the left had nothing. Scanning the left, there was one raider; to my right were two raiders.
I could hear them say, "It's just a kid, kill the little fucker." The one on the left ran out and fired from his shotgun making me have to move out the way. But I wasn't fast enough, the pellets hit my leg making me yell in pain, but I turned my gun at him and fired, emptying the clip into him. Now all the raiders were coming this way, as I reloaded, I took the raiders' shotgun and any shells he had; five shells in total, which is bad. Within seconds, the last seventeen raiders were around the corners ready to fire. I have a clip of five mm to my UZI, and five shells to the shotgun. That's twenty shots left, not counting my sniper rifle. I got back up and floated all the dead bodies, I killed seconds before, over to the end of this hall making a barricade and sitting behind it.
My Dragon's Eye was flashing a medical warning for my leg. I ignored it and peeked over my barricade but they fired at me, making me hide. When the shooting stopped, I got up and fired the shotgun to my left and UZI to my right, to empty. Floating my UZI over and dropping the shotgun, I looked and saw I had killed four of them. Then a grenade was flung in with me, but I didn't let it land on the floor, I sent it back as they yelled and it exploded.
I then looked out from behind cover and saw, to my right, the boxes that served as the raiders cover was destroyed. To my left, I scanned and saw the raiders were dead. About three more killed making it ten more left. I ran out of cover and to the left side of the hall around the corner, with my hurt leg, and picked up their guns; an assault rifle, another shotgun, and a grenade. Standing against the wall and looking down the hall to where the last of the raiders are, I pulled the pin of the grenade and threw it at them, as they were trying to get up from being stunned. But before they could, the grenade thumped against the wall and onto the floor near two of them as it exploded killing them and injuring an other.
Running down the hall, as fast as my injured leg could go; I drew the shotgun and assault rifle and fired at the injured raider and the others. As the shotgun clicked on empty, I looted another three shells as fast as I could and loaded it and fired them as the assault rifle drew empty. As I stopped, I turned and looked at what I managed to kill and found that there were still two raiders left. Before I could scan, one of them fired a shot into my backside and legs causing me to scream loud and fall on my side. I moved towards the wall and leaned against it, as the last two raiders came out of hiding from around the corner and aimed their guns at me. Time seemed to slow, as fear swallowed me but I didn't give up. I looked and scanned there bodies finding not one but three grenades and pulled the pins as I showed them to the raiders.
They looked at the pins and then they tried to get rid of the grenades but was to slow as they exploded sending meaty chunks of flesh meat and bone everywhere and sent me flying down the hall and crashed in a bloody heap slowly falling into darkness from the blood that slowly ran out of my wounds and from a concussion...
Author's Note
I plan to edit and revise this in the future so what you see here is not the complete final. I'm doing this without help from editors or my closest friends so this is not as easy as it seems to be and could take alot more time. But I expect this to be done in 6 or so months time as I also continue writing my main Fallout Equestria story Experiment XXXHell. But once this is done I have one more short story before I continue typing up and publishing Experiment XXXHell. P.S. in my own definition of OC is own creation.

Chapter Two: The Voice of Hope
...I groaned as I came to. I thought I died from the wounds I had, but I felt...oddly healed. "Nnnn..." I groaned as I quickly sat upright to look around.
"Easy there, kiddo," said an old looking stallion that hesitantly touched my shoulder for support, "Your wounds were serious, lost alot of blood. Lucky for you I heard the gun shot's and came here."
"W-who are you? What is that thing?" I asked pointed to the two headed cow thing beside him.
"That is my Brahmin, named her ink, and I'm Spark. I'm a merchant." answered Spark "May I ask you for your name?"
"I'm Sinon...thanks for helping me...I don't ha-" I said
"No need to pay little one. I didn't use much anyways. Besides I find alot of stuff alone my routes." said Spark getting up and grabbing a bottle of water from his wears and giving it to me. "Go ahead and drink."
"Thank you..." I said as I drank the bottle dry. Then I took a better look at the merchant. He had a fur cap on his head and was wearing an old, slightly ripped, dusty suit. He also wore I'm guessing hikers boots. His build was not that of an old stallion but one who is turning old. He had a few wrinkles her and there on his face and one broken tooth.
I slowly turned around and looked inside my bags and pulled out what caps I had as well as radiated water and turned to him asking if I can sell the water and buy something from him. He had a kind smile as he said he will pay me 4 caps for the water then told me what he had. I bought two water bottles that were not full of radiation, one potion, and surprisingly five more .50 caliber rounds for my sniper rifle and it all costed about 38 caps. He said it was a child discount and, from what I did within the facility, a protectors discount for protecting him unintentionally. I asked him if he had some 5mm clips and he said he will give me his two clips that he had for free.
We talked about areas around this place where there is safety till I'm ready to travel again. I told him that i hope I see him again, that he is my friend for being this generous to me, and he gave me a friendly hug and smile and he waved me goodbye. I headed to one of the places that Spark had said, Tenpony Tower. I wished I had a map besides direction but I can't complain. I headed in the general direction of Tenpony carefully...
~Code String-281kd8o0s79nel390nv000n39jk_6621~
...It felt like hours but I came upon the extremely tall tower with its heavily defending wall. I wondered what it had looked like before the bombs and war happened, but it would only be a dream. I walked closer to the wall hoping there was a way in and that I'm not on the wrong part of it. I was greeted by a stallion wearing a security barding and a metal helmet.
"What business do you have here little filly?" asked the stallion from behind the wall.
"I need a place to stay. Please. I'll pay you when I get enough caps, I promise." I said. I heard the stallion turn to talk to a mare and listened closely as they talked.
"She is just a child, let her in for free. She doesn't seem dangerous" said the mare
"What they seem is different from what they might actually be. She could secretly attack us when we let her in." challenged the stallion.
"Not when we have lots of guns pointed at her head, besides look she has been injured from who knows what. Let her in." said the mare
"Alright, alright." said the stallion as he turned to me, "You may come in for free, but leave any weapons you have."
"I...I can't do that, but I can give you the ammo I have...and knife to." I said trying diplomacy, and by his look it worked.
"Fine; open the gate for the little filly." said the stallion as he turned back to a small room near the gate. And the gate slowly opened and I walked inside. Turning to the mare, I floated out all my ammo and the knife and gave it to her. The mare smiled at me and put the stuff in a crate and walked with me inside the tower.
As I walked it, the place looked amazing and so alive. Now living in a wasteland you expect nothing to be alive, but this place was different. They all looked happy, clean, and kind. They seem to be separated by what they wear because they looked at me with mixed looks. They wouldn't expect a little filly, like me, to be wearing slave rags and an eye piece with a little window. They would be thinking that I am spying on them or something. But it was not important to them as they kept walking and doing what they wanted. I looked at the many floors at the many stores; there were so many different stores; from the spa's, to food stores, to weapons, to armor. This place seems to have everything.
"I can get you a place to stay in the suites if you'd like." asked the mare.
"Please. I only have 2 caps. I was hoping to work to get more or go around equestria." I said
"It's dangerous out there. I'm sure there is a few ponies who can help you. I know one pony that will. His name is DJ Pon3. He lives in the top part of the tower." said the mare
"Thank you so much miss." I said
"Your welcome, lets get you a room before I go back to my post." said the mare as we walked to an elevator in the center of the tower that must also lead to the top of the tower; where the supposed DJ Pon3 is. As we got into the elevator there was a classic tune playing and it was moving me in ways I can't explain; kind of like a sad tone with a slight mix of happiness as well.
When we reached the suite, there was a red velvet carpet that looked somewhat average condition as well as the walls, which looked clean. I saw little to no dust in the suites as we walked to a specific room. When the mare guard opened it, I was welcomed by a big bed, a nice fridge, a beautiful view of the land. There was a bathroom that actually had pluming.
"I'll pay for this room. I'm afraid I can only pay for a two night stay." said the mare
"That's fine, thank you miss." I said with a smile as I put my stuff down.
"I'll leave you be, have a great day." said the mare as she walked back to the elevator. Once the mare was gone, I got undressed and went into the bathroom to shower. I felt...dirty and hurting a little from what has happened in my life. I missed my mom and dad...I slumped against the wall of the shower and sobbed...
~Code String-3g906bh33s000by11no9wv03r7n_6000~
I had spent an hour sobbing in the shower, but I finally finished and got dressed and laid down. What is my next step? Where do I go? Who do I talk to? Then one name hit me, DJ. But I don't know if I can go up to that level of the tower. I decided to go anyways heading to the elevator and hit the top floor button. It slowly went up as I looked at my hooves thinking. No! Stop thinking right now. I don't need to cry or weep again. Better yet in front of the DJ himself. I have to be strong.
When the elevator finally stopped and opened, I was greeted by a big room with two doors. In the room there was tapestry and carpets that looked old but so did the room. It looked like it was used a lot. Slowly walking into the room I decided to sit down and wait. But I didn't have to wait long. I looked over at a door that was to my right and saw a steel grey coated mare, with a blue mane walking out. Her cutie mark looked like a speaker of some sort. When she looked at me she was a bit surprised to see a filly like me in the room. She walked over and asked me in a kind and beautiful voice:
"What do you need little one?" asked the grey mare.
"I...I need to talk to DJ Pon3...I...I don't know what to do. I was hoping he could help me." I answer with a sad smile as I looked at her.
"Oh um...I'm his assistant. I'm sure I can help you out. So what specifically do you want to do?" asked the grey mare.
"I...I want to find a way where I can help Equestria...I can't stand the raiders and the slavers...I...I miss my mother and father..." I said as I trembled a little looking at my hooves.
"Shhhh little one, it's alright." said the grey mare."I'll be glad to help you. Maybe you will help me in return as well. I don't want to see children suffer when they aren't deserving of it. And even still they should not suffer."
I was able to stop trembling and prevent myself from crying again as I looked at her and said "Okay...thank you."
"Your very welcome. My names Homage, what's yours?" asked Homage
"I'm Sinon...nice to meet you." I answered then looked around "Nice place you got here."
"Thanks. Anyways come with me I'm sure the DJ wouldn't mind if you see this." said Homage as she got up and walked over to the room on the right; the room where she came out of. I got up and followed her to the door as she opened it and walked inside. I walked in behind her and my eyes widened when I saw a wall full of computer screens and controls. There must be at least a hundred screens on the wall. Walking to the screens, I can see everywhere it seemed which is amazing. I looked around the room to the other walls and found some sort of radio, and equipment to broadcast as well.
"This is where DJ finds all the information he talks about. He looks at the screens and listens in to the radio for his friends to give him news. Then he uses the broadcasting equipment, connecting it to every radio he can and broadcasts the news he gets." said Homage smiling and abit amused by my looks.
"This is amazing. I...I can't believe this is here" I said as she sighed. I looked over at her and saw she was said. "What's wrong?"
"I...I can't lie to a child...Sinon, can you keep a secret?" she asked me, looking into my eyes. I didn't know why or what she wanted to be kept secret but I nodded. "Well, Sinon. I'm...not really DJ Pon3's assistant. I am the DJ."
"W-what? Your the DJ? I...I guess is kind of makes sense...your cutie mark I mean." I said, a little taken aback.
She looked at her cutie mark and chuckled. "I guess so, but I am keeping my word when I say I will help you. I am the voice after all. I try to give updated news to everyone when I can."
"Thank you and I'm sure your doing a great job Homage." I said smiling at her.
"So let's see what you can do." she said as she looked up at the screens. "Would it be okay if you can get rid of some raiders for me? It's preventing trade from some places."
"Um...sure, I can try. I'll do it as soon as possible." I said
"I suggest resting. Its best to be of good health before the journey." said Homage.
I nodded and got up and walked back out the room into the big um...atrium and towards the elevator until I was stopped by homage. "And Sinon, never give up, fight the good fight" she had said to me and I nodded back smiling as I walked into the elevator and hit the button for the suites.
I'd say today has been horrible. But I'm happy to already have some friends. And the DJ thing, it's is a lot to take in. I remember my mother and father had always listened in on the radio. They had it loud, so I can hear it but not to loud so that we can be captured or attacked. But still, it's a lot to take in. I always thought the DJ was a stallion not a mare, but hey I'm not gonna complain. Girl power! Hehehe.

Chapter Three: Side Quest
When the elevator stopped at the suites, I walked back to my room. After walking inside, I locked the door and laid down in bed. I drowned out all noise and fell to sleep slowly.
~6---------------------------------------------Ministries~
The next morning I woke up and stretched before getting up, because my body felt asleep still. I got up and grabbed my bags and sniper case and walked out my room and was surprised to see Homage walking over to me with a small bag.
"Here, Sinon. I got you a few things. Nothing special, but I thought it would be useful." said Homage floating over the bag in front of me. I looked through it and found a radio, a potion, sugar apple bombs, and 25 bottle caps.
"Thank you Homage. Are you sure? I-" I said
"It's okay, Sinon. It's early payment for the small mission I asked you to do. I'll give you more when your done. Also the raiders should be along the southern route." said Homage
"Okay, thank you so much. I'm glad I came here to see you. Can we see each other afterward?" I asked
"Sure. I wouldn't mind company I feel alone a lot." said Homage as I walked to the elevator with her. She hit the button down and we talked till we reached the bottom floor and I walked out as she went back up to the top of the tower. Walking towards the front gate, that same guard mare walked over with my ammo and knife with a smile and opened the gate door, as I walked out they closed the door behind me. Looking around I then headed south along the river towards bucklyn cross.
An hour had passed when a bridge came into view. But the bridge had long been fallen on both sides leaving the center post which was the strongest and biggest part of the bridge. But that wasn't my destination. The place I was looking for was across the river near Bucklyn cross. But I had to figure out how to get across the river. I could try to float myself across but I don't know if I'll make it all the way. I don't want to fall into that abysmal darkness of a river. To die drowned or slammed against the rocks that are scattered and sticking out the river.
I wish I knew my own limits. Is there such a device that can tell such a thing? If so I would really like it right about now because floating myself across is the only thing I can do if I want to get there quick and somewhat easy. I walked to the edge of the cliff wall and tried not to look down as I made my horn glow as my own magic covered my body and was lifted a foot off the ground and slowly walked. As I walked I had this feeling to look down but I know if I did I would either lose concentration or would just stare till I grew tired and fell into the rapid flowing water.
Slowly I walked, step by step, across the crevice closer to the other side of the river. Some say i am an idiot but doesn't everyone not think of commonsense at least once in there life? Even when they needed to think? I needed to distract myself from looking down or worrying about being shot at so I pulled out the radio and turned it on to DJ Pon3's radio and felt a calm sensation as I heard Homage talk and then put soothing music. A song Sweetie Belle did, well that's what Homage said anyways, and continued walking the gap. I got closer and closer until, like the wasteland is ever easy, I was shot at but I didn't pay any mind to the shooter. I didn't care if they were raiders, slavers, or steel rangers; though the steel rangers I believe would have explosive weapons not light carbines and such.
Then as I was a foot away, and I got shot in my leg and then another shot hit the left side of my neck cutting it a bit as a lot of blood slowly poured from the wound. It didn't destroy any artery but I know It destroyed something and I rushed to the other side and collapsed against a dead tree. I quickly pulled out a potion and downed it fast and it started to heal my wounded neck. I sat down feeling my leg throbbing from the shot I got and I looked at the hole. The bullet was stuck inside and so I grabbed my combat knife and bit on the handle hard as I used my magic to pull the bullet out. I screamed into the grip of the knife in pain as I did so and after the bullet came out the wound slowly healed from the potion and I spit the knife down panting.
I pulled out one of my medical bandages and wrapped my leg and neck just for a little more insurance and pulled out one of my bottles of water and drank it. After I finished I hit the button on Dragons Eye and looked back across the gap and saw...nothing...I looked around me and saw nothing but wasteland. Was I going crazy? Is the wasteland hiding something from me? Playing tricks? Then I looked down and saw a joker playing card. As I picked it up, I looked at the writing on the back of the card. 'I'll be with you in a bit.' Who is playing a trick?! Calm down. Just calm down. I put the card in my bag and continued walking towards my mission.
When I got there, it was a small stand alone complex factory. It looked like a weapons factory of some sort. Before I walked any closer I took out PGM Hecate and put it together. I laid on my stomach and placed the sniper in front of me and aimed it at the building. I hit the button on Dragon's Eye and could see the heated bodies of raiders within the building. Slowly counting I came up with about 9 raiders, no make that 10. There was a sniper on the top of the building hidden well but not enough for my Eye.
Holding my breath, to ease the spread of the gun, time seemed to stop as I aimed at one of the raiders, the sniper to be precise, and fired as the sound of the sniper echoed across the wasteland and the bullet zipped out the long barrel of the gun and towards the sniper but before he or she could move it went straight through their cover and exploded on impact to the raider sending blood and gore everywhere. I'm sure the roof collapsed in the building and the blood rained down on the raiders inside. They all started running around searching for the one who not only shot at them but killed one of there own.
I put the sniper rifle away, pulling out my UZI and put a clip of 5 mm into the empty clip slot and walked towards the building. Still looking through Dragons Eye, I picked out my first target as I walked in and fired at her, killing the female raider. Looking around at the other doors, I spotted one raider coming out of one as I aimed. But before I could fire, a raider in rags from down the hall shot into my side with an assault carbine, making me run into a room and behind cover as I held my side.
"Come on out, little girl." said a raider menacingly as he stood beside the door behind the wall.
"Nnn...How about you come in" I challenged the raider as I readied my gun pointed at the door. Then the raider slammed the door open but was greeted by 5 shots to his head. His body fell with a heavy meaty thump. That left 8, I slowly got up grunting in pain as I looked around and saw a few more were outside aiming for this room. I floated up and out my gun aiming and emptied the clip in a swipe as it killed them both. 6. Loading my last clip for my UZI I carefully walked out the room and looked for the stairs to the second floor. It was behind a desk. My guess was the boss's desk and walked up and was greeted by a shotgun buckshot, but most of the shot missed, what didn't, hit my chest like a hammer blow and I tumbled down the stairs, hearing something break in my leg.
I laid there as tears fell from my eyes but I had to get up. Limping out and behind the desk, I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. But I didn't let them come all the way down here with me. I looked at the raider and fired a head shot killing him. Then a grenade was thrown down, I floated it back up as it exploded killing another but my guess is hurting a few others. 4 left. I got up and limped my way up the stairs and found that two were on the ground bleeding out to death and the other two made it to a room and hid behind cover. Instead of killing the ones with mortal injuries I saved my ammo and hid up against the wall and turned my head seeing them eyeing the hall. I turned my head forward and readied myself; Running down the hall I aimed my gun at them and shot covering fire using most of what's left of the clip then when I was close enough I used the rest on them killing one but missed the other as he brought a rifle to bare and aimed at my head. But thanks to my size and speed I dodged his shots and grabbed the dead raiders' gun I just killed and aimed it not even paying attention to it and with one shot vaporized the last standing raider.
I slumped against the wall feeling the pain in my chest and my leg had worsened. I was lucky the shotgun didn't go to deep into my hide, but not lucky enough to have seen it coming. I levitated out my last medical bandage and wrapped most around my chest and the rest around my broken leg. I really wanted to drink the potion I had but I need my leg bones healed right first. I really need a doctor. I got up and started to loot all the bodies. I didn't find much but I knew it will be useful. I found some gun ammo, none for my UZI or sniper but I decided to keep it. Considering it's for a 12 gauge shotgun and ak-47, which was the only guns these raider's had. I took them apart and put the better pieces into a single shotgun and assault rifle and added it to my collection of weapons. And out of the ammo I had found, twenty shells for the shotgun and at least fifty-five 7.62 X 39 ammo for the assault rifle.
I went around the building and looted the place. I found about one hundred bottle caps, some scrap metal, electronics as well, two potions, one super potion, and one medical bandage and leg brace. I put the leg brace on my leg and slowly walked out of the building back towards the north to Tenpony Tower. This time I was gonna stay away from the river and just cross the Luna Line.
A good hour later I finally return back to the tower, gave the guards my ammo and walked back in. Instead of going to my room I had to find a doctor for my leg so I looked around and eventually found a doctor. His name was Life Bloom. Cute name I say but I didn't say it out loud unless I did than fuck me...He looked over my leg and told me to take it easy for a bit. That he can get the bones to sit right but I can't walk on it much. I agreed and he used his horn to fix my broken leg so it can heal right and left after he said no cost for me. I had to wonder why everypony is being nice to me besides just helping them.
Then I look around the tower and think to myself, maybe they look at me...and wish I...had a better life than than just this awful wasteland? I wish we never lived in this dead land where evil is everywhere. Why couldn't the past stop what they were doing before it was to late? Maybe it was already to late when they noticed? Maybe they lost there way of living? Did we really need electricity everyday? Couldn't we just live a day where there was no electricity at all, like that vision I saw of years before the war when everypony just cooked, cleaned, planned, bowled, and such?
I can't be thinking about this kind of stuff when I'm stressed out and hurt as it is. I need to rest up but had to see Homage first. As I walked to the elevator, I looked at my chest. It looked worse than it felt, but I had to be strong. I walked into the elevator and went up to the top of the tower where Homage is and as the door opened I was greeted by Homage who had a smile on her face.
"Thank you for your help Sinon. They have been trouble for the town near the bridge and for the Luna line. They had to be stopped." said Homage as I walked out of the elevator.
"Your welcome, Homage. Anything that brings us closer to peace; I can't see anyone else suffer...it hurts..." I said
"I know. I wish that as well, and you're very strong and brave to have done what you did and still want to move with your injuries. You need rest..." said Homage looking pained as she looked at my leg brace and chest.
"I have a room in the suite still. I'll rest there later. I have to go buy some things first." I said and then Homage hugged me.
"Please rest...I can't see a kind little filly get hurt like this...I'll go get you some things. You can stay here. I have an extra bed I can put someplace for you but you need to rest..." said Homage hugging me softly
"I...I...okay...I'll rest...only because I trust you and I have no pony else..." I said as I looked at her
Homage had a small smile as she asked "How about...you can be...I can be...your adopted mother...?"
"W-what?" I asked shocked
"If you wish, I can be your adopted mother...no young filly like you should be wondering alone...it's the least I can do. I know you miss your mother and father and I can never replace them...but I can try to be a mother you wished was here still caring for you." said Homage
"I...I" tears ran down my face as I hugged her crying. I lost my mom and dad and missed them gravely. I would do anything to have them back. I don't want to be alone. Mother please rest in peace. I don't know if things will work out but forgive me and forgive Homage if I choose to have her as my mother...I don't deserve it, but it's that last thing that will remind me of you...
"I...I would love to have you as my mother..." I answered crying in Homages embrace. I could feel the hot tears on my back as Homage started to cry as well. "But don't tell anypony...please..."
"I promise" said Homage.
Author's Note
This chapter is getting closer to a movie/show villain reference. If you do not like the reference then you are obligated to either stop reading or skip the part. I decided to add this villain because this is a world of weird, dangerous, horrible, etc., so I figured it would work out well. And in the later chapters I changed out memory orbs for something that is slightly more interesting and I hope you like it. Also I thought about this, I don't know if it will work but the main character will be the daughter of homage. Adopted daughter and she will be a secret to everypony. LittlePip and Blackjack. If this doesn't work I'll have to do some major edits on this and following chapters.
Fallout Equestria: Sniper's Legacy
Chapter Four: The Joking Appearance
Hours later we had stopped crying and woke up from a small nap. Homage was cooking something and I had to go to the bathroom. Once I finished I went to Homage and sniffed the air. "mmmm, please tell me what you are cooking."
"If I told you there would be no fun in hearing you guess." answer Homage smiling.
"Awww come on." I said looking at her shaking her head, "Okay, is it radigator meat?"
"You are funny, but yes it is. It's something I don't normally eat. Actually was something I ate when I traveled outside Tenpony." said Homage as she was just about done cooking and was floating over some plates.
"I remember my dad cooking it and it was great." I said smiling as Homage place a piece of meat on the plates and gave me one of them. I started eating happily while Homage giggled a bit as she also started to eat.
"Well you get to taste my cooking, though it isn't that good. I was never a cook." said Homage
"What do you mean? This tastes better than my dad's cooking." I said matter-of-fact, as I ate the dish with extreme slowly to savor it.
"Well I'm glad you like it. Your the second pony to ever say that to me." Homage smiled at me as she ate.
"Who was the first?" I asked but then Homage became sad at my question. "Oh...um. I didn't mean to ask the wrong question..."
"No. It's alright, just the past coming to me again. The first pony to ever say they loved my cooking was my marefriend, Jokeblue" answered Homage.
"Oh well where is Jokeblue? No nevermind don't answer that it's not my business nor do I wish to pry...sorry." I said as I finished the radigator meat.
"No, I'll answer it, I don't mind. She was killed while we were traveling. She saved my life." answered Homage as a tear fell from those eye's of a pony who still loves and misses the ones they care so much about. It was also the tear that fell; within it you can see the memory of what could or would have happened, or what did happen, like you were there to see it and I looked away saddened myself at the fact of my loss. When Homage saw my look she hold me close and whispered, "It's okay. They are in a better place. They are with the Goddesses and watching over you."
"Okay. Your right. Thanks for the late dinner. I should get some rest." I said as I got up and headed to the elevator but before I could hit the button, Homage stopped me.
"Sleep here, please." Homage said, "You can sleep in my bed if you wish."
"Thank you so much, and I'll just sleep on your couch." I said as I hugged you and walked to the couch placing my stuff beside it and curling up on it. Homage smiled and went to her bed. I closed my eyes and began to dream...
...I woke up, or at least I thought I woke up, but looking around I knew I must still be sleeping because around me was nothing but wasteland. The grey sky's, the cloud cover, as it started to thunder. I looked around me and then there was a single pony beside me, but he looked odd. He wore a purple suit with a yellow flower on his left side below his pocket and his mane and tail were light green and looked sopping wet as it covered his face a bit. He had a mask or was it white paint on his face? I couldn't tell besides the fact he looked like a dressed up clown. He held a few joker cards from many boxes of cards and on his flank was a joker cutie mark. His smile looked mixed between crazy, happy, and mysterious.
"Hello there, what is your name kid?" the pony asked me as I stepped a few steps away from him.
"I...I'm Sinon. Who are you and what do you want?" I asked a bit scared at the sight of him.
"Oooo, I would answer that but it wouldn't be much fun at all. You see, what I want is to see what you can do. Maybe you can do a few tasks for me. Shouldn't be to hard, though if you don't do it..." he took in a nice deep breath and licked his lips, "You really don't have a choice really. You just have to do it."
"No. Who are you? What do you want from me?" I asked a bit unhappy as I frowned.
"Hmm." He licked his lips again, "I'm a mystery, you see. I don't know anything of who I was or who I am," and started laughing hysterically before continuing, "And what I want from you will come to you as you travel."
"Your not even real, why am I talking to some weird clown" I said glaring at him.
"Why so serious? Hm? I am very much real. I have friends that know a few tricks to get me here. But right now it seems my time is up, but we will meet again. I'll be sending some one very interesting your way. I wonder if you can outsmart him" He said as he laughed and slowly disappeared leaving me to this dreamscape...
...That was the first time I encountered the him. He calls himself the Joker and for good scary reasons. Somepony once told me "You need to know yourself, to know others", well...he truly doesn't know himself which makes him scary. I have never faced such a scary character in my life than him. I'm just glad he died 6 years ago after I killed him. Or...so I hope...But anyways the next morning...
...Slowly waking up I was greeted by homage's soft and kind words, "Morning sleepy head, you slept an hour in."
"Aww I missed your news...oh well, morning." I said getting up stretching. Then walked over to her,"What's for breakfast?"
"Scrabbled eggs and juice."
We walked over to her kitchen she had, it was small but big enough to fit a group of five, and I sat down as she floated over two plates and cups of juice over and onto the table and I started eating. The eggs were sweet, and I love things that taste sweet, and the juice of orange juice, which is a bit bitter but still okay. As I ate, I kept thinking about that dream I had and either I should tell homage or not. Before I could choose she snapped me out of it by messing my mane up.
"You okay? You seem to have something on your mind." Homage asked a little worried
"Yes, I'm fine. Just a weird dream is all." I answered with a smile.
"Are you sure? That it was just a dream I mean." she asked still worried
"Ya. I promise that I'm fine. But I have to go today."
"I can't force you to stay. Go where your heart tells you. Just please be safe." she said
"I will, cause I have the best eyes watching my back." I said smiling as she nuzzled me happily, "Besides I have a way we can communicate. Just will take time to make it"
"What is it and how?" in a curious kind of tone as she looked at me. I slowly took out Dragons Eye and showed her. "What is that?"
"I don't know much about it, but I called it Dragons Eye. Put it on and you will know why," I answered her as she hesitantly put it on her ear.
"What do I do now?" she asked and I told her there was a button on the ear piece she had to hit. When she hit it the eye piece or lens went over her right eye and her eyes widened in surprise. "This is amazing," she said as she looked at me, "It even has thermal vision, a EFS to."
I giggled at her amazement in it as she looked around and at herself. "It has SATS to I believe, I just haven't used it yet, but when I had it on myself, there was a call option of some sort. I can make something like this but it will take a few days and materials to do so. Then we can figure out what this call is."
"Well this is amazing, and I'm sure you can make another." she said taking it off and handing it to me, "I'll just have to wait though, anyways you have a point. I do have eyes on you, just know where to communicate. So till you make this or something of this nature I will be little to no help to you."
"That's okay. I'm only going to a few places that shouldn't be to dangerous, but I won't keep my hopes up though. I'll be back in a few days with or without injury depending on how I do my plans." I said thoughtfully
"Sounds like a plan, but I worry for you still." she said hugging me, "But I know your a big girl and you can care for yourself."
"I'm not a foal anymore. Stop it." I said smiling up at her hugging back before I went and grabbed my bags and stuff and headed for the elevator.
...As I walked outside of Tenpony into the rain, I walked to any random place for now till I meet that clown again. And who would that friend of his be? He said I didn't have a choice but to do what he said. Would he kill me if I didn't do what he wants? Torture me? I needed answers and I wasn't getting any where. I just walked around the wastes finding anyone who would need help or some pony I can join with in an adventure. Looking off into the distance feeling some ponies eye's on me I could make out a silhouette up on a hill seeming to watch me curious. I wanted to see who it was but when I blinked it had disappeared.
I hope that wasn't the clown or his friend playing jokes with me. I really didn't wanna deal with them right now. So I kept walking not thinking about what I had seen; hours later I came upon a small town seeming to be made out of train boxcars called Appleloosa no make that New Appleloosa. I found it fascinating that they were able to build a town with such things and even have a crane to pick up the boxcars. The boxcars themselves looked like they weighted several thousand pounds. And the town looked plain, no color besides rust, dust, and two century year old paint jobs. I did however find the towns store called Absolutely Everything. Home to the famous ghoul delivery pony, Ditzy Doo. I walked inside and looked around for a moment before I was greeted by the ghoul herself.
'Hello, what you wish to buy?' She had written on one of a few chalk boards around her neck. I simply told her I wish to have three clips of five mm ammo, some water, and food. Looking at me for a minute, thoughtfully, she walked away and looked at the shelves and grabbed a small box of five mm clips bringing it to me then walked over and grabbed three bottles of purified water and four apples and placed them beside me. She had erased her chalk board and wrote '64 caps please' But I simply gave her 80 for it all, which was worth it for the priceless smile she gave me. I gave her a hug and told her that she is one of the most amazing ponies ever.
It's true, she was an amazing pony. She is over two hundred and fifteen years old and still has her kindness and sanity. I once asked her what keeps her well her and she had answered by tell me that it was who is was before and will always be. She told me she wished things would have changed in the past but doesn't blame them for there mistakes. What kept her going was the fact that there would be a better tomorrow in place of the hell of today. If so then that is definitely something worth fighting for. Life is like a book, you can judge it's cover but within is where the story begins. Prologue with the beginning of Equestria, rising action with the war. Then climax when the bombs fell before falling action of the land dying. We will never reach the epilogue but once Equestria is healed to as normal as it will ever be then we will have returned to a normal prologue state.
Life is a game of chance full of emotions that are not real. Emotions are just a creation for our minds so that we wouldn't just be plain but full of life. My life is being part of chance with that clown from my dream. I look back to reality and grab my things I have bought and placed them in my bag. When I got up to leave, Ditzy stopped me and wrote on her chalk board 'take care be safe'.
"I promise. After all I plan to see you again. Don't worry."
She nodded and went to her counter putting the caps away as I left. I wished I had a map. It would be really helpful of where I wished to go next. I then decided to head to Old Appleloosa, a place now of ruins do to the past. I don't know the place very well, but I know that there is a big barn there with a stage. I know this because there used to be ponies who lived there a few years back and then moved to the New Apple. They told the folks there about the old town. I only cared for the barn and how there used to be performances. Walking there and looking at the place was as little of a surprise by it's look as a camp filled with raiders. The place looked dead as ever but I walked into the town.
There were homes there that looked to rotted to be standing but seemed to hold their own, their windows like Equestria, long been broken. The ground itself looked deformed in places. A ghost town of what was and is now nothing. Even the large barn itself looked broken but stood full of glory. Earth ponies sure knew what they were doing when they build ever standing buildings; but I started to get the uneasy feeling as if someone was watching me. Fear started to creep in as my mane started standing on edge. Looking around the town in every open window and open door, I was expecting something, anything to jump out at me and kill me. I thought I heard a growl of a wolf coming from one of the buildings. I activated Dragons Eye and looked around the town and saw nothing but blue. No heat signatures anywhere until I turned around and looked towards the barn. I saw one pony inside.
I hesitantly opened the door and was greeted by the lights turning on bright and a cheerful stallion voice announcing "Welcome little one. I wish for you to play a game." before something hit me and I passed out seconds later before I could see who it was and what did that to me...
