Canterlot High and new friends(rewritten)
In the Hoenn region, on the middle of route 114, a rocky road with grass fields around. two pokemon trainers were walking through. The first one is a boy with brown hair, wears a white hat, black shorts, and a red shirt. The girl has also brown hair. She wears a red ribbon on her head, a red shirt, and double shorts(for unknown reasons). And they each held a mega bangle around their right arm. Their names are Brendan and May. They both live in Littleroot Town and are both around 18 years old. They have been close friends since childhood, and have traveled through the large pokemon world together, starting with their home region Hoenn.
"So May. It's nice journeying around Hoenn again right?" Brendan asked his best friend.
"I know right? We've started our journey 5 years ago. It's nice to back at our home region." May cheerfully replied. Her and Brendan has traveled together for a total of 5 years. They started their pokemon journey at the exact same time, and since they are best friends, they decided to travel together instead of individually, Neither Brendan nor May have set a foot on Hoenn for almost 1 full year.
"Yeah, you and me both May." Brendan said with a smile. "It's nice to be back in our home region, after battling an entire league in the Kalos region."
"Not to mention performing at those wonderful pokemon showcases." May said. "By the way Brendan. It's actually getting a bit boring traveling around now, and find the same contest or gym. We haven't found anything new, since our trip to the Battle Frontier. Both of us could need a little excitement." May said a little tired. They have traveled for weeks, finding something new to find. But currently to no avail, since all they found were ordinary pokemon battles. Although Brendan never said no to challenges, he also wished something new and exciting would happen.
"I know May. But you shouldn't give up trying. If something slows you down, you just speed it up! That's what my dad taught me." Brendan proudly said, while rising his fist up in the air. He remembered the good times he had, with his father Norman. May sighed, since Brendan was just like his father. Confident, Cocky, and enjoyed pokemon battles. But made up with a cheerful, and kind hearted side, which May was proud of. "But we should be close to Fallabor Town. We can take the night there."
Sure." May said in agreement. And just as Brendan said, they have just arrived to Fallabor Town. May remembered the time, where she competed in a pokemon contest there. They walked to the closest Pokemon-Center to rest for the night. They looked inside, and saw numerous Pokemon Trainers were discussing about something. While it looked normal at first, they quickly noticed that each of the talking duos, were a boy and a girl.
"Hey. Are you going to enter the tournament?" A boy trainer asked a girl trainer.
"Of course i am. But only if you join me." The girl cheerfully replied to the boy, who blushed in respond.
"Tournament? What tournament?" Brendan asked in confusion. The two trainers looked at Brendan.
"Haven't you heard? There will be a pokemon tournament."
"Yes i just heard that. But where?" Brendan asked.
"You should ask Nurse Joy that. She knows all the info." The girl responded, while pointing at the Nurse Joy, at the Pokemon Center counter. Brendan ran over to Nurse Joy in a hurry, while May is simply walking over to her.
"In a hurry as always." May muttered while face-palming. She knew that Brendan loved Pokemon battles, especially tournaments. Just hearing the word "Tournament" will make him eager to find out more about it. Brendan was now close to Nurse Joy.
""Pardon me Nurse Joy, but someone told me that there was a Pokemon Tournament somewhere, and that I should come to you if I wanted to know more about it." Brendan asked the nurse, with an excited expression.
"Of course." Nurse Joy chuckled. "You see, someone named Principal Celestia has just announced a Pokemon Battle Tournament at her school on the TV. She said that she has seen many pokemon trainers in love with each other, and decided to see their close bonds more, by announcing a little pokemon tournament. Others worldwide may join as well."
Brendan thought a little to himself. Should he join? Or should he decline? He and May are best friends, but they're not lovers. That made Brendan a bit nervous.
"Just one question. Is it necessary to be lovers, in order to participate at the tournament?" Brendan asked nervously. Nurse Joy chuckled a little at his nervousness.
"Many nervous trainers have asked me that question. But it's not necessary to be lovers, in order to participate. You can also invite your best friend, right behind you." Nurse Joy cheerfully said. Brendan was quiet, and turned around, noticing May right behind him.
"Oh... Hi May. How long have you stalked me?" Brendan asked while scratching the back of his head. May snickered at Brendan.
"For like only two seconds." May snickered. Brendan innocently smiled at her. "But anyway, this tournament sounds very interesting. Do you have any plans Brendan?" May asked her still blushing best friend.
"Not really May. Why?"
"Because maybe we should enter it together." May cheerfully stated. That statement made Brendan quiet. "You know, just like best friends do."
"Uuhhh... Sure sure. If you're in May, i'm in as well." Brendan stated, stopping his silence. "But we still don't know where it is yet."
"No need to worry. Principal Celestia has also announced where it is." Nurse Joy stated. She then pulled out a piece of paper. "It's in a new region called "Equis"" She said.
"Equis? Never heard of that one before." Brendan said. He knows about Kanto, Johto, Hoenn(which is where he and May lives), Sinnoh, Unova, and the Kalos region. But Equis is new to him.
"That's why she said it was new you dummy." May chuckled, while giving a weak punch on Brendan's arm.
"Oh right."
"Your friend is right. Equis is a place, not many knows much about here in Hoenn. But it's said to be a beautiful place, filled with Pokemon and friendship." Nurse Joy stated.
"Sounds like a nice region." May said. "But the question is, how do we get there? And what town is it?"
"I have heard of a plane, flying to Equis will fly tomorrow. And the town is just nearby the place where the plane lands. The plane will be set, at Lilycove City."
"Lilycove City? That doesn't sound so bad. Skales can just fly us there." Brendan said.
"Skales sounds like a good choice." May said. Skales is Brendan's Salamence.
" Yup. Skales is strong, and he can easily fly us to Lilycove City in no time." Brendan said, before turning back to Nurse Joy. "But anyway, me and May want to sleep here for tonight."
"Sure. Please enjoy the tournament tomorrow. You may become more than friends there. Unless you already are." Nurse Joy said with a friendly tease. That made Brendan and May look at each other for a few seconds, and then looked away.
"No no. She's not girlfriend." Brendan said. "Just my friend."
"You got it all wrong. He's not my boyfriend." May said. "And just like he said. We are just friends."
"Sure, whatever you say. Anyway enjoy the night." Nurse Joy waved to them, while the two trainers were walking to their lent rooms. But they haven't noticed, that two mysterious persons has heard their conversation, from outside the building. They were both silhouetted.
"So they're entering the tournament?" The silhouetted man asked.
"Yup. With our pokemon training, and our newly improved technology, we can beat them for sure. We just need to follow them to the new region." The silhouetted woman confidently said.
"Well... That does sound a little too dangerous, if you ask me." The man said, before getting whacked in the head, by the woman.
"Ow. That hurt." The man said, while rubbing his head.
"Then shut up, and just follow my lead." The woman shouted at her partner. The two then disappeared in the shadows.
The next day Brendan and May were outside, while Brendan was holding a poke-ball.
"Skales! Let's go!" Brendan yelled, while throwing out the poke-ball. And out came a blue dragon, with red wings. It was Skales, Brendan's Salamence. But despite his intimidating look, he was actually quite gentle. "Skales, can you fly us to Lilycove city?" Brendan asked.
Skales nodded his head, smiling with the warmth of a sun. Then Brendan walked up to the blue and red dragon Pokemon, and Skales promptly crouched down, allowing his trainer to climb up onto his back. Brendan felt the scaly hide of the blue and red dragon Pokemon as he sat down. May followed suit, climbing onto his back and sitting behind her best friend.
It brought Brendan much joy yet much awkwardness to be in such close proximity to May, but he actively shoved those thoughts to the back of his head and kept his focus on the task at hand. Skales slowly got up, and brought up Brendan's anticipation, and by extension heart rate with every passing inch. Skales then stopped when he got up fully, and Brendan couldn't help but smile as he braced himself with the excitement of soaring through the Hoenn Skies.
The blue and red dragon Pokemon emitted a bark, asking Brendan and May if they were ready.
"Yes Skales! I'm ready!" Brendan replied to Skales.
"Same here." May reported.
With that information, Skales crouched for one second, preparing himself to take off, and making Brendan's heart beat even faster in anticipation. The next second, Brendan suddenly felt the wind blowing in his face and his heart practically bursting out of his chest as Skales lept off the ground and flapped his wings hard, leaving the crusty and hard ground of Fallarbor behind and taking Brendan and May closer to the blue sky with him.
"Woooooooo!!! It's fun riding you again!" Brendan yelled, while rising his arms in cheer.
"Just remember not to fall off." May reminded him. Brendan immediately took his arms down. They then arrived in Lilycove City in just 15 minutes, due to Skales great speed.
"Good job Skales. Return!" Brendan yelled out Skales roared happily, while being returning to his poke-ball. They then saw a large plane, which was taking some pokemon trainers with them on board.
"Ready?" Brendan asked his best friend.
"Ready." May responded with a nod. They both quickly bought a ticket from a ticket shop nearby, and entered the plane. One hour later or so, the plane took flight towards the Equis region.
"I'm so excited for the tournament. I hope i will meet some strong opponents there." Brendan almost yelled in excitement, before getting shushed by the other passengers.
"Shush Brendan. I'm sure we will meet some powerful trainers." May said, while dragging Brendan back to his seat. Brendan blushed a little.
"Sorry about that May."
"It's alright, just remember to keep it calm." May replied. The two trainers couldn't wait to meet some powerful trainers there.
After three hours of flight, the two trainers have finally arrived to the Equis region. Once the plane landed, all the passengers exited. Brendan and May left the airport, and was standing in front of a Taxi station.
"So where is the tournament?" Brendan asked May, who in respond took out a paper, which Nurse Joy from yesterday gave them.
"It's located in a place, called "Canterlot High" which is located in a town, called Maretropolis."
"Maretropolis? Sounds funny." Brendan chuckled. They both walked over to a nearby Taxi.
"Yes, what can i do for you two?" The Taxi driver asked.
"Please drive us to Canterlot High, in Maretropolis please." May replied, while showing the driver the paper.
"Okay you two lovers, jump in." The Taxi driver said, which made the two blush.
"Were not lovers. But anyway just drive us there." Brendan said while blushing. The two entered the Taxi, and were driven over to Maretropolis. After thirty minutes of driving, they drove into a semi-large city. Brendan and May were amazed by it. It was almost like Castelia City, except smaller, and shorter buildings. They then arrived to a large school, in the middle of the city. They both got out, and paid the driver.
"Were here May. But i can't see any trainers nearby." Brendan said, while looking around the place. He has expected some trainers nearby. But saw no one, but himself and May around.
"Maybe they are inside Brendan. Let's check it out." May stated. They then walked over to the entrance, of the school. But just before they could get near the entrance, they were both surprised, at an upcoming capture net, capturing them.
"What the?! What's going on?" Brendan yelled confusing. Then the man and the woman from before, appeared from the bushes. They were now visible to the view. They were both around 30, the man had grey hair, and a white grey suit, while the woman had red hair, and also had a white grey suit, except more feminine. And they are someone, Brendan and May both know too well.
"Why hello there Brendan and May. Long time no see... Right?" The man nervously said.
"We have so waited, for finally attempting revenge on you two." The woman said in delight. Both May and Brendan gritted their teeth in anger.
"Rob and Stealla. Haven't seen you for a few years." Brendan said. The last time they met, were when they fought Team Galactic together back on Sinnoh, and defeated their boss Cyrus. Rob and Stealla were two high ranked agents in Team Galactic, and has followed both Brendan and May ever since Cyrus's defeat.
"Are you two still mad, about Cyrus's defeat? Don't you know something called, "the past is the past"?" May said in annoyance. The two trainers tried to get free from the net, but to no avail.
"Oh no, we don't work for our former boss Cyrus anymore. But we found a new employer, and has paid us really well, in capturing you two." The man named Rob said.
"New employer? You got a new boss?" May asked in confusion.
"Yup. And did i also forget to mention, that we have gotten stronger, since the last time we fought." Stealla said while taking out her poke-ball. Rob did the same, while also taking out a poke-ball.
"GO GOURGEIST!"
"KROOKODILE COME OUT NOW!"
Out from their poke-balls, a pumpkin ghost like pokemon came out of Stealla's poke-ball. While a large red crocodile like pokemon came out of Rob's. They both looked like, they were ready for trouble.
"You remember my beautiful Gourgeist?" Stealla said in vain. "It's now much more beautiful than ever. Not to mention way stronger." She said, while Gourgeist was cheering behind her.
"And you remember my Krokorok?" Rob said with huge pride. "He is now a bigger, badder, and stronger Krookodile... Hopefully" He said, while Krookodile showed it's muscles to them.
"Yeah. They look like even bigger punching bags than before." Brendan joked. While May chuckled at the joke, Stella and their pokemon, glared at Brendan in anger.
"Did you just insult us?!" Rob asked in anger.
"Maybe. But i have to agree with Brendan. They don't look much different than the last time we fought them." May said, with a chuckle. That only made the three of them angrier.
"Enough of this. We are wasting time Rob. Let's get them out of the way, so they can't enter the tournament." Stealla ordered, with Rob calming down a bit. Brendan and May then tried to take their poke-balls, but was stopped by a electricity shock, coming from the net.
"Ah-ah. The net has shocked your poke-balls. Which means that you can't touch them, unless you are free from the net." Rob said. The two criminals walked closer to the two helpless trainers in order to steal their pokemon. But then they all heard two voices yelling out.
"CHESNAUGHT USE PIN MISSILE!"
"DELPHOX HIT THEM WITH FLAMETHROWER!"
The two agents and their pokemon looked at where the voice came from, and to their shock saw some upcoming green missiles of energy, and a large flamethrower towards them. Their pokemon were hit, and send towards the wall. Rob and Stealla looked, and saw a Chesnaught, and a Delphox standing there, with two trainers near them. The first one was a tall light skinned boy, with blue hair, with a lightning shield sign on his shirt. The other was a girl, with lavender skin, purple hair, and a sparkling star sign on her skirt.
"Who are you two? Why are you interfering us?" Rob asked in confusion.
"We saw you try to steal from those two." The girl said.
"And we were going to help them." The boy said, in agreement. While Brendan and May looked in amazement at the two trainers, the two agents, along with their recovered pokemon looked at them in anger.
"Then prepare to be taken down. Gourgeist! Hit Delphox with Flame Charge!"
"Krookodile! Give that Chesnaught a taste of your Crunch!"
Gourgeist and Krookodile obeyed, and launched their attacks at the pokemon. Chesnaught and Delphox however both looked very calm at the situation.
"Chesnaught! Spiky Shield!"
"Delphox! Reflect!"
Delphox created a square barrier, which made Gourgeist bump directly to the barrier. Chesnaught meanwhile was creating a shield with spikes on it. Krookodile bit the spiked shield, and comically jumped around in pain, while rubbing it's tongue. The boy and the girl both looked confidently at each other.
"Let's finish this." The boy said to the girl.
"Right. Delphox use Mystical Fire!" The girl ordered to her Delphox, who made some fire orbs, and shooted them towards their two opponents.
"Chesnaught follow up with Seed Bomb!" The boy ordered to his Chesnaught, who in respond shooted out some bombs out of it's mouth, which hit Delphox's Mystical Fire, and made it look bigger and deadlier.
"That doesn't look good." Stella nervously said, while Rob was cowering himself in fear at the upcoming attack. Krookodile and Gourgeist held each other in fear. The combined attack hit them, and smoke occurred. When the smoke ended, Gourgeist and Krookodile were both knock outed, and has landed on their respective unconscious trainer, thus making neither of them unable to escape. The boy and the girl along with Chesnaught and Delphox walked over to Brendan and May, and removed the net from them.
"Are you two alright?" The boy asked in concern.
"Yes were both alright. Thanks for helping us. Who are you two?" Brendan asked.
"My name is Flash Sentry. And this is Twilight Sparkle." The boy known as Flash Sentry introduced himself and his friend.
"We just arrived here to meet with some friends. But then me and Flash saw you in trouble. And then we send out our Chesnaught and Delphox to help you." Twilight said, while Chesnaught and Delphox smiled towards the two trainers.
"Good to meet you, and thank you for helping us. I'm May." May said, while introducing herself.
"And i'm Brendan." Brendan introduced himself. "And you both seem to be really strong trainers here."
"Well... I wouldn't call me and Twilight strong. But were quite good here." Flash said bashfully.
"Yeah, what Flash said." Twilight said. "By the way, are you two going for the tournament too?"
"We sure are." Brendan stated.
"Then why don't you come with us? We can show you the way." Flash offered.
"Sure. We are here for some time. So we can know a little more about this place." Brendan responded.
"But what about those two?" May asked, while pointing at the still unconscious criminals.
"I don't think those two will wake up anytime soon. Besides, me and Twilight called the authorities, before we engaged in the battle." Flash said, while he and Twilight took out a poke-ball each.
"Chesnaught/Delphox return." They both said, while returning their two pokemon back to their balls.
"Then that sounds great. Please follow us." Twilight said. Brendan and May followed Flash and Twilight, who walked into Canterlot High. Brendan began to look in excitement.
"I can't wait for the tournament, and their opponents." Brendan thought in excitement. He was now more eager, to face the strong opponents there.

Brendan and May has arrived to Canterlot High, got a little trouble, and befriended Flash Sentry and Twilight.
Pokemon EQG battle Couple Tournament
Flash Sentry and Twilight Sparkle were leading Brendan and May around the Canterlot High halls. Brendan was excited to be at Canterlot High, due to it being the place where the pokemon tournament is held. While walking through the halls, the four teens were talking with each other.
"Whew. It's exciting to be at the tournament." Brendan said.
"You sound excited. Just like the many other competitors for the tournament. As you know, most teams entering, are either in a relationship, or just for friendship." Flash replied.
"He is always excited for pokemon battles." May said. "You seem to know awfully a lot about the tournament. Are you entering it?"
"Of course we are." Twilight replied to her. "Me and Flash are joining together." She said.
"Together? Then are you two..." Brendan is about to ask.
"Yup. Me and Flash are in a relationship." Twilight smiled. Flash Sentry laid his hand around her shoulder romantically.
"Really? That's great." Brendan smiled at them. "You two were also an excellent team, seeing how you easily defeated both Rob and Stella."
"Thanks. You seem to know about those two criminals." Twilight said.
"We do. Those two have tried to defeat us, numerous of times. And trust me, they always fight dirty." May said. She remembered their many dirty tricks. Like power restraining armor on their pokemon, too warm areas, or attacking them while hungry(or in the bathroom).
"You shouldn't worry about them now. The police will probably take them away in a few moments." Flash said. May looked around the halls, and saw many locker rooms, and school doors around.
"It's quite a large dorm Canterlot High has huh?"
"We know. Canterlot High is for both youngsters, fresh men, and senior students. In here we learn a lot about friendship." Twilight said. And speaking of friends, two figures appeared in front of them, one was a boy with dark blue hair and light blue skin. The other was a girl with rainbow hair and blue skin.
"Hey Flash and Twilight!" The boy yelled cheerfully while waving towards them.
"Nice of you two to join the tournament." The rainbow haired girl said. She then noticed Brendan and May standing behind them. "And who may you two be?"
"My name is Brendan. And this is May." Brendan greeted, while introducing himself and May.
"Hi." May greeted. "We met Flash and Twilight at the entrance."
"Nice to meet you two. I'm Rainbow Dash the coolest girl you will ever meet. And this is my handsome boyfriend Soarin." The girl known as Rainbow Dash introduced.
"That's me. And together me and Rainbow is the most awesome team ever existing." Soarin proudly finished.
"And i thought team rocket back in Kanto were quite the boasters." May chuckled in her mind. Soarin and Rainbow Dash both looked at Flash and Twilight.
"Come on, let's meet the others. They are waiting at the gym hall." Rainbow Dash informed. She and Soarin then ran off to the gym. Flash and Twilight began to follow them, but then Twilight turned over to Brendan and May.
"Why don't you two come as well? Then you can meet the rest of our friends." Twilight offered.
"Sure. We haven't made new friends since our last region trip." Brendan cheerfully said.
"I'm in as well." May responded in agreement. Brendan and May followed Flash and Twilight through the halls, and arrived to the gym entrance, where Soarin and Rainbow Dash stood.
"What took you so long?" Rainbow Dash friendly complained to them.
"You have only waited for like 2 minutes Dash." Twilight rolled her eyes.
"No matter. Let's meet our friends." Flash said. Soarin nodded, and opened the door, where the gym was held. They entered and saw 8 other people around. 2 boys and 2 girls. The first was a young purple teen around 17 years old, with green spiky hair. Beside him were a white girl a year older than him with purple stylished hair. On the left side stood a orange skinned boy with light brown hair. Beside him was a light skinned girl with western styled clothes, and a cowboy hat.
"Hi guys and girls." Rainbow yelled out to them. The 4 boys and 4 girls looked toward the group, and walked over to them.
"There ya are. Just in time." The cowgirl said with a friendly smile. She then noticed Brendan and May behind them. "And who may ya'r critters be?"
"My name's Brendan."
"And i'm May. Nice to meet you." May greeted.
"Howdy ya two. I'm Applejack." The cowgirl introduced herself.
"My name is Caramel. Applejack's boyfriend." The orange skinned boy introduced.
"Hi there. My name is Spike." The young teen known as Spike greeted. "And this is my girlfriend Ra..."
"Hush now Spiky-Wikey. It's more polite to greet them personally." The white skinned girl said, while blocking Spike's mouth.
"Spiky-Wikey? Sounds funny." Brendan thought amusingly to himself.
"Greetings you two. My name is Rarity." The white girl known as Rarity said. "And i must say, that those clothes of yours suits you really." She complimented Brendan and May's clothing.
"Thanks for the compliment. I have worn these type of clothes since the start of my journey." May said. Rarity gasped.
"Only one type of clothes?! How long have you been on a journey?" She asked loudly. The others looked awkwardly at Rarity.
"Uuhhmm... Rarity i think you shouldn't yell at her for such a small question." Spike said, while calming down his girlfriend.
"Right. I'm so sorry May. You see i'm a fashionista. So i care a lot about clothing styles." Rarity apologized.
"It's alright." May forgave her.
"But if you want, i can make you some new clothes." Rarity happily offered her.
"Really? You would do that? Even through we have just met?" May asked in surprise.
"I'm known to be very generous dear. Besides my friends friends, are also my friends." Rarity explained.
"Same here." May said. She then took a glance at Spike. She saw that he was slightly familiar with Twilight.
"So Spike. Are you related to Twilight?"
"Uhm... Yeah. How did you figure that out?"
"You have the same skin color." May pointed out. "But mostly due to you just said so." May said. That made Spike blush a little in embarrassment.
"Yeah. Makes perfect sense." Spike said awkwardly to himself, while Rarity and May chuckled at him. Meanwhile Brendan talked with Caramel and Applejack.
"Ya'r new here in the Equis region right? So where do ya live?" Applejack asked him.
"I live in the Hoenn region. And so does May. We actually both live in the same town." Brendan replied.
"You two seem to be best friends." Caramel pointed out.
"We are. And always will be." Brendan said. Remembering their first times together, where they chose their starter pokemon for their journey. "Are all of you joining the tournament?"
"We darn tooting we are." Applejack replied. "Me and Caramel will do our best to win the tournament."
"Yeah. Not gonna happen Applejack. For me and Soarin will kick all of your butts, and win the championship." Rainbow Dash said, while butting into the conversation.
"Don't watch the chickens before they hatch Rainbow. Ya don't know that ya'l win yet." Applejack confidently replied to her rainbow haired friend.
"Can't we save it for the tournament you two?" Twilight said, stopping Applejack and Rainbow Dash's friendly clash with each other. "The tournament starts tomorrow, so save your strength there."
"Right. But me and Soarin will still win." Rainbow Dash said. The others sighed at her overconfidence.
"Don't worry about Rainbow. She just likes to be confident." Flash informed Brendan. "But anyway. Where are the others? They were supposed to be here as well."
"Oh. They've decided to go to the football yard, in order to watch pokemon battles." Caramel said.
"Then let's go there and meet them." Twilight said. All of them then walked out of the gym.
They walked out of the back entrance of Canterlot High, and saw 2 other boys and 2 other girls, watching pokemon battles, during the football yard. The first teen was orange skinned and a curly brunette. The girl beside him was pink, with curly pink hair just like the boy. The other boy appeared to be the oldest of them. He had grey skin and hair, and his outfit were awkwardly made, having different colors around his outfit. The last girl was yellow skinned, with beautiful pink hair. She also looked quite the bashful type. All 4 of them were watching a pokemon battle.
"Hi there you four." Rainbow Dash greeted.
"Hi Rainbow Dash. Nice to see you." The yellow skinned girl greeted, before noticing Brendan and May. "Oh hey there. Are you two for the tournament as well?"
"Of course we are. Me and May are best friends, and make a great team."
"Yeah what Brendan said. But like he said, my name is May. And that's Brendan." May greeted.
"Nice to meet you two. I'm Fluttershy." The girl known as Fluttershy introduced. Then the grey boy appeared.
"Who are you talking to my dear Fluttershy?" The grey man asked.
"Just to some newcomers." Fluttershy replied with a smile. "Brendan and May, this is Discord my boyfriend."
"Boyfriend? Didn't see that one coming." May thought with a slight chill in her guts. "Greetings Discord."
"Charmed." Discord smiled. He then made a flower appear out of nowhere in his hand. He then handed it over to Fluttershy, who gladly accepted it. "For you my dear Fluttershy."
"Thanks Discord." Fluttershy smiled.
"Wow! How did you make a flower appear in your palm?" Brendan asked in surprise.
"A trickster never reveals his secret tricks." Discord replied. Then the last two appeared in front of Brendan and May.
"Hi there. We are Cheese Sandwich and Pinkie Pie. It's nice to meet new pokemon trainers around here." They both said at the exact same time.
"Huh?" Brendan and May said confused.
"Sorry about them. That's just how these two are." Twilight said. Rainbow Dash then walked over to her pink friend.
"But back to business. I can see a pokemon fight is there. But who is battling?" Rainbow asked.
"Come and see yourself." Pinkie Pie replied, while she and Cheese Sandwich dragged them to the audience seats. Brendan and May looked at the pokemon battle, and saw a Blastoise commanded by a blue skinned girl with light blue hair, and some sort of magician cape on her back, fending off against a Baltoy commanded by a girl who appeared to be around 12, had red hair, and a bow on her head. Behind her was a white girl, and an orange girl, who appeared to be the same age as her. While Blastoise seemed to have only taken minor damage, Baltoy on the other hand was sweating in exhaustion.
"BALTOY USE ANCIENT POWER!" The red haired little girl yelled. Baltoy made some rocks appear in front of it, and threw them towards Blastoise.
"You got her Apple Bloom!" The orange girl cheered.
"You can do it!" The white girl also cheered.
"How lame." The blue girl yawned in disappointment. "BLASTOISE WITHDRAW!" She yelled out. Blastoise retracted to it's shell, and easily took the upcoming rocks without a single scratch.
"Let's end this Blastoise! Use Hydro Pump!" She yelled out. Blastoise then exited the shell, and made it's back cannons shoot out two large streams of water at Baltoy. During impact, lots of smoke appeared.
"BALTOY NO!" The red haired girl yelled. The smoke cleared, and Baltoy laid on the ground in defeat.
"Baltoy is unable to battle. The winner is the great and powerful Trixie!" A small dimwitted boy said.
"Ha ha ha ha! Is that really all you three got? The great and powerful Trixie eat small kids like you for breakfast." The girl known as Trixie boasted towards the defeated girl, who were being comforted by her two friends. Trixie then returned Blastoise back to it's poke ball.
"Are you ok Apple Bloom?" The white girl asked in concern.
"A'hm fine Sweetie Belle. Dang i almost had her." She said, before returning Baltoy to it's poke ball. Brendan in the background turned to the others.
"Who is that girl?" Brendan asked while pointing towards Trixie.
"That's Trixie. A boasting maniac in our school. Me Cheese Sandwich Discord and Fluttershy arrived here to cheer on Apple Bloom." Pinkie Pie explained. Brendan looked at the three sad girls who were being comforted by Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash. He then looked and gritted his teeth towards Trixie.
"She thinks that she's so tough, just because she defeats a bunch of little girls?!" Brendan said in irritation. If there is one thing he can't stand, it's bullies and meanies. "That's it i'm going to put her in her place." Brendan said, while beginning to jump towards the football yard.
"What are you going to do?" Cheese Sandwich asked him.
"I thought it was obvious. I'm challenging her to a pokemon battle." Brendan replied. That made the others look toward him in surprise. But understood, since they can see his reason for challenging Trixie.
"Brendan doesn't like bullies and mean egomaniacs." May explained. "Whenever he sees one, he will stand up to them."
"If you're standing up for Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle. Then we are wishing you good luck against her." Twilight said.
"I wish you a good battle Brendan." May said. Brendan nodded, and walked towards Trixie, who was being serviced by the young pokemon judge, and another one who was skinnier and had lighter skin.
"Snips bring me some water. Snails continue polishing Trixie's nails." Trixie commanded the two young boys.
"Yes oh great and powerful Trixie." They nodded in obedience. Then Brendan appeared in front of her. "Who are you? And what do you want? Can't you see that Trixie's busy?"
"My name is Brendan. And i'm here to challenge you to a pokemon battle." Brendan said. Trixie blinked at him, and then laughed at his challenge.
"You challenge the great and powerful Trixie? You can't be serious? Didn't you see what i just did with that girl over there?"
"Yeah. You were really tough, in defeating a 12 year old so easily. Not to mention you had a fully evolved pokemon, and a type advantage." Brendan sarcastically said. "Then why don't you face an opponent your own size?"
"If you really wish to lose, then very well, i accept your challenge. Snails return to your pokemon judge position."
"Yes Trixie." Snails said in obedience, while running back to the center of the football field. Brendan and Trixie then walked to their respective trainer positions, with Brendan walking towards same spot Apple Bloom stood on. The three girls, along with Applejack Rarity and Rainbow Dash looked towards Brendan who now stands on the battlefield spot.
"Who are you?" Apple Bloom asked him.
"My name is Brendan, and i will defeat Trixie for you." Brendan greeted, before turning back to Trixie. In the audience seats, Twilight was talking to May.
"Do you think Brendan can defeat Trixie?"
"No i don't think he can. I know he can." May said. Confident that her best friend will win. "He's one of the strongest trainers i know."
"Then this should be interesting to watch." Twilight said. The two trainers Trixie and Brendan took out a poke ball each.
"Blastoise showtime!" Trixie yelled while throwing out her poke ball. It spitted out a white glowing light, where Blastoise appeared.
"Let's go Volcarona!" Brendan yelled while throwing his own poke ball out. Out came the fire bug type pokemon Volcarona. Everyone except May looked in both surprise and confusion at Brendan's choice of pokemon.
"You are using a fire type against a water type pokemon like Blastoise?! And here i thought i would battle a formidable opponent. Maybe Trixie was wrong." Trixie taunted. But Brendan had a confident smile on his face.
"May. Was it wise of Brendan to send out a bug fire type pokemon against Blastoise?" Fluttershy asked in concern. "You know that fire types are weak against water types."
"I know that. But Brendan has a plan. Trust me." May said with a smile.
"Let the battle begin!" Snails yelled out.
"Blastoise let's end this little insect! Use Water Pulse." Trixie yelled out. Blastoise made a blue sphere out of water appear in it's palms, and shooted it towards Volcarona.
"Volcarona Protect!" Brendan yelled. Volcarona obeyed and made a force field appear, which easily shrugged off the upcoming Water Pulse.
"Protection for one turn only. That's where Trixie strikes. Hit it with Bubble!" She commanded. Blastoise then spitted out many water bubbles out of it's mouth, who were aiming towards the Volcarona.
"Dodge Volcarona and use String Shot!" Brendan yelled. Volcarona then flew beside the bubbles, and retaliated with a web string out of it's mouth. Blastoise was now stuck in the string.
"How dare you?! Blastoise Rapid Spin!" She yelled. Blastoise then retracted to it's shell, and spinned all the string off it. "How pathetic. Was your plan all along dressing my powerful Blastoise up with sticky string?"
"No. But it was to make you vulnerable to my next attack. Volcarona Bug Buzz!" He yelled towards Volcarona. It then made some special damaging sounds, which dealt Blastoise some great damage. "Great job Volvarona."
"What?! How dare you! Blastoise give him a taste of your Hydro Pump!!!" Trixie yelled in frustration. Blastoise also looked pretty mad, and fired out of it's cannons two massive water streams out. But despite the upcoming Hydro Pump, Brendan still had a confident grin on his face.
"Volcarona quick use Sunny Day!" He said. Volcarona then made the battlefield shine up a bit, where it made everything a bit hotter. The Hydro Pumps made a direct hit on Volcarona.
"Ha! Now you see why you should never challenge the great and powerful..." Trixie boasted, which quickly ended when she saw Volcarona still standing, and hasn't taken much damage from Blastoise Hydro Pump.
"How... How is that possible?! Hydro Pump should have dealt lots of damage to your Volcarona about now. How is it still standing?!"
"Simple Trixie. I simply made Volcarona use Sunny Day. Which everything becomes hotter, and makes Blastoise's water type attacks weaker." Brendan explained. The others looked at Brendan in fascination.
"Wow. A very smart strategy he came up with. So that's why he used a fire type like Volcarona against Trixie." Twilight said, surprised that Brendan knew such a smart strategy against water type pokemon.
"I must say that he's very impressive." Flash complimented Brendan's battle skills.
"That was so awesome." Rainbow Dash cheered behind Brendan.
"Thank you guys. But i think it's time to end this battle. VOLCARONA! FINISH IT WITH SOLAR BEAM!!!" Brendan yelled out. Volcarona then formed a glowing orb in front of it, which quickly grew bigger and stronger. And thanks to Sunny Day, Solar Beam fired immediately, and was about to hit the weakened Blastoise. The Solar Beam hit Blastoise dead on.
"BLASTOISE NO!!!" Trixie yelled in shock. The smoke cleared, and Blastoise was knocked out.
"Uhm... Blastoise is unable to battle. The great and powerful Trixie loses." Snails nervously yelled out. Trixie in anger due to her defeat, returned Blastoise to it's poke ball.
"Well guess the great and powerful Trixie lost huh?" Brendan grinned at her.
"You were lucky this time! For this was just a warm up for Trixie. Just wait for the tournament." Trixie yelled to him, before running away in a hurry.
"I will look forward to it." Brendan said while returning Volcarona to it's poke ball. The others then walked over to Brendan.
"Nice victory there Brendan." May congratulated her friend.
"You were so awesome. But still not as awesome as me." Rainbow Dash said with a friendly boast.
"Thank you for beating Trixie for us Brendan." Apple Bloom said.
"You are welcome little girl... Whatever your name was."
"Ma name is Apple Bloom, and ah'm Applejack's little sister. Nice to meet you." Apple Bloom greeted him.
"My name is Sweetie Belle. I'm Rarity's sister."
"And then there is me. I'm Scootaloo the sister of the awesome Rainbow Dash."
"It's nice meeting you three." Brendan greeted back. He then heard his stomach rumble. "Wow, guess that little battle made me hungry."
"Who wants to go to Sugarcube Cornor? My treat." Pinkie Pie offered.
"Sounds like a splendid idea." Rarity replied. The group of trainers then walked away from the battlefield, and began to walk over to the Sugarcube Corner.
"That was a fun battle. Let's hope the tournament offers more opponents there." Brendan said.
"I'm sure we will Brendan." May replied with a smile. "But let's get something to eat now."
"I'm right behind you." Brendan smiled.

Pokemon EQG battle Couple Tournament
The group has just arrived to Sugarcube Corner, a cake shop owned by Mr. and Mrs. Cake. The group were sitting down on the cafe tables, where each of them were enjoying the cupcakes Pinkie Pie bought for them. While May was calmly taking small bites of her vanilla creamed cupcake, Brendan on the other hand was really enjoying the strawberry cupcake Pinkie bought him, as he almost ate his in seconds.
"This cupcake is delicious Pinkie. I must say that Sugarcube Corner is an excellent bakery." Brendan happily complimented the bakery. The others looked a little uneasy at Brendan's eating manners.
"Thank you Brendan. Me and Cheese Sandwich also work here sometimes." Pinkie Pie smiled, while Cheese Sandwich beside her, smiled with her.
"Not to mention that it's where me and Pinkie became girlfriend and boyfriend. And now we party together as a team." Cheese Sandwich smiled, while kissing Pinkie's cheek. Pinkie Pie blushed at him, while the girls looked in awe at the couple.
"Oh Cheese." Pinkie Pie happily muttered, while blushing toward her boyfriend.
"Tell me Cheese Sandwich and Pinkie Pie. I can already guess that you two will also be entering the tournament." May speculated.
"Yup. And so are the rest of us here." Pinkie Pie pointed out. Brendan and May saw each of the following pokemon trainer couples beside them. Flash and Twilight. Rainbow and Soarin. Spike and Rarity. Applejack and Caramel. And finally Discord and Fluttershy.
"I see. That's great. I believe each of you will all make excellent teams here." Brendan cheerfully complimented them. Each couple in respond blushed to each other.
"Oh stop." Rarity happily blushed.
"It's just too bad that me, Sweetie Belle, and Apple Bloom can't join, due to none of us even have a relationship yet." Scootaloo sighed.
"But even without relationships, we're still are pretty tough in our school." Apple Bloom smiled to her friend, while clapping on her shoulder.
"Is that why you battled Trixie earlier?" May asked, out of curiosity.
"Mostly, but it was more Trixie who challenged us, to show her so called 'great and powerful' might." Sweetie Belle said, while rolling her eyes. Everyone gave off a cheerful laughter, and continued on their cupcakes.
"Trixie may have beaten you, but I put her in her place afterwards. She shouldn't bother you for now. But if she does, I won't hesitate beating her again." Brendan said, while taking another bite from his cupcake.
"Thanks Brendan. You were the true awesome trainer around, in comparison to Trixie." Scootaloo smiled. "But still not as awesome as Rainbow Dash."
Then Brendan thought of an idea. "Hey guys. Since all of us quickly became friends, how about we introduce each other our Pokemon?"
The couples, along with the three crusaders looked at each other, and then smiled to him. "Well, I don't think introducing our teams won't hurt a bit." Flash Sentry smiled.
"Sure, I don't mind showing what awesome Pokemon, me and Rainbow possesses." Soarin chuckled, with Rainbow gently punching him in his arm.
"Come on, there is a backyard behind Sugarcube Corner, we can introduce our Pokemon. Follow me." Pinkie Pie said, as she raised from her chair, and showed everyone a door on the corner.
"Pinkie, do you think Mr. and Mrs. Cake are alright with introducing our Pokemon in their backyard?" Twilight asked her pink friend. "We don't want to be rude."
"That's okay. Mr. and Mrs. Cake never gets mad at me showing friends some new friends. And all of our Pokemon are going to be the bestest friends when they introduce to each other."
"If you say so Pinkie." Twilight said, as everyone left their chairs, and walked out of the bakery, and into the backyard. When they were outside, they got a better look on the backyard. It was fairly large and wide, lots of grass around, and trees surrounding the area. If May calculated her thoughts well, she would guess that this entire backyard could fill up to 150 Pokemon. Or perhaps even 151 Pokemon.
"Quite a large backyard the two cakes have." Brendan had to admit, that this was among the largest backyards he has ever seen.
"You and me both Brendan. I'm pretty surprised myself." May said in awe of the large backyard.
"Mr. and Mrs. Cake loves when me and Cheese Sandwich show Pokemon to each other." Pinkie Pie smiled.
"Well, since it's you two who likes to use it most, then why don't you two start introducing your Pokemon first?" May suggested.
"Okie dokie loki." Pinkie Pie nodded in agreement, and took out a couple of poke balls from her belt. "Ready Cheese?"
Cheese Sandwich responded by taking some poke balls out from his own belt. "Ready, just like when we're ready to party Pinkie.
"Great." Pinkie said, as she tossed 5 poke balls out in the air. "Come on out Slurpuff, Ditto, Feraligatr, Ludicolo, and Medicham!"
"You too Mr. Mime, Hitmontop, Cradily, Garbador, and Slowbro!"
Out from Cheese Sandwich's poke balls, were a Mr. Mime, a Hitmontop, a Cradily, a Garbador, and a Slowbro with a specific stone on it's shell. From Pinkie's poke balls, out came a Slurpuff, a Ditto, a Feraligatr, a Ludicolo, and a Medicham, who wore also wore a specific stone on it's leg.
"Not a bad team you both have. I think of your Pokemon matches your personality." May said.
"We know. That's also why we caught them." Cheese Sandwich admitted with a smile. Brendan then notices the stones on their Medicham and Slowbro.
"The stones on your Medicham and Slowbro, are impressive. You appear to use mega evolution." Brendan speculated.
"That's right. Always come in handy." Pinkie said. "Now who wants to introduce Pokemon next?"
"How about we show them ours my dear?" Discord asked his shy girlfriend.
"Oh? Uhm... okay... if you insist so." Fluttershy shyly agreed. They both took out 5 poke balls each.
"Drapion, Malamar, Flygon, Magnezone, and Houndoom! Come on out."
"Uhm...Togekiss, Beartic, Meganium, Druddigon, Audino. Please come out... if you don't mind."
From their poke balls, came a Drapion, a Malamar, a Flygon, a Magazine, and a Houndoom equipped with a mega stone on it's tail, from Discord's poke balls. From Fluttershy's, came a Togekiss, a Beartic, a Meganium, a Druddigon, and a Audino, who wore it's mega equipment on it's neck.
"What do you say Applejack? Should we go next?" Caramel asked the cowgirl.
"I'm in Caramel. Now come on out Arcanine, Mienshao, Mamoswine, Sawsbuck, and Steelix!" Applejack replied, while sending out five poke balls.
Caramel did the same. "Lets go Sandslash, Tauros, Forretress, Darmanitan, and Tyranitar!"
From their poke balls came Arcanine, Mienshao, Mamoswine, Sawsbuck, Steelix, Sandslash, Tauros, Forretress, Darmanitan, and Tyranitar. Steelix and Tyranitar both were their respective mega stone.
"Rarity? You don't mind we show our Pokemon next right?" Spike asked.
"Of course not Spiky-Wikey." Rarity smiled. They both took out 5 Poke balls each.
"Cool. Go Dragalge, Gigalith, Sableye, Bastiodon, and Charizard!"
"Leavanny, Florges, Vaporeon, Delcatty, and Lopunny. Come out and say charm." Rarity called her Pokemon out. Now a Dragalge, Gigalith, Sableye, Bastiodon, Charizard, Leavanny, Florges, Vaporeon, Delcatty, and a Lopunny came out. Charizard was wearing a Charidite Y, while Lopunny wore a it's unique and own mega stone.
"Rainbow, what do you say showing how awesome our Pokemon are?" Soarin asked his girlfriend. Rainbow smiled in respond, and both pulled out 5 poke balls each. They then threw them up in the air.
"Crobat, Greninja, Accelgor, Heliosk, and Lucario! Lets go!"
"Talonflame, Carracosta, Manectric, Scizor, and lastly Altaria! Show them your awesomeness!" Rainbow exclaimed. Out from their poke balls, came a Crobat, Greninja, Accelgor, Heliosk, Lucario, Talonflame, Carracosta, Manectric, Scizor, and a Altaria. Lucario and Altaria wore a mega stone each.
"Guess it's now our turn Twilight. You ready?" Flash asked Twilight, as he took out five poke balls.
"I'm always ready Flash. Lets call them out." Twilight replied, by pulling out five poke balls like the others did.
"Aegislash, Garchomp, Chesnaught, Magmortar, and Gallade! Come on out!"
"Hydreigon, Noctowl, Delphox, Empoleon, and Gardevoir! Lets go!"
The light disappeared, and out came Aegislash, Garchomp, Chesnaught, Magmortar, Gallade, Hydreigon, Noctowl, Delphox, Empoleon, and Gardevoir. Gallade and Gardevoir both wore a Galladite, and a Gardevoirite, indicating their capability to mega evolve.
Brendan and May were all looking in awe at each of the couples Pokemon teams, who were happily greeting them with their battle cries in respond. They already knew Flash and Twilight's Chesnaught and Delphox from their little rescue from Rob and Stella.
"Wow. You're teams... are... AWESOME!" Brendan exclaimed.
"I'm impressed, that all of you are carrying quite some teams." May said.
"So now that we've shown our teams, how about you show yours?" Caramel suggested.
Brendan smiled, and pulled out 6 poke balls. "You got it. Come on out! Sceptile, Salamence, Umbreon, Walrein, Volcarona, and Eelektross!"
Out from Brendan's poke balls came a Sceptile, Salamence, Umbreon, Walrein, Volcarona, and an Eelektross. They all made their usual battle cry once they were out.
"Guess it's me for last. Lets go Blaziken, Goodra, Milotic, Sylveon, Gliscor, and Roserade!" May exclaimed, as she threw out 6 poke balls of her own. Out of them came a Blaziken, Goodra, Milotic, Sylveon, Gliscor, and a Roserade.
"You also have some pretty good Pokemon too." Soarin said with a smile.
"Thanks for the compliment Soarin." Brendan replied.
Rarity looked in awe. "With your teams together, you would not only be a powerful battle duo, but maybe also quite a couple the two of you."
Both Brendan and May blushed, and their heads instantly turned completely red. "We're just friends! That's all!" They both exclaimed.
"Sure ya two are." Applejack friendly teased the two. Once they were done teasing the two trainers, Brendan thought up a new idea.
"Hey Flash, Twilight. I wanted to ask you something." Brendan asked the first couple they met today.
"Sure Brendan. What is it?" Flash asked in respond.
"I wanted to ask, if me and May can battle you and Twilight." Brendan proposed.
Both Flash and Twilight gave a curious expression. "You sure?" Twilight asked.
"Of course. I saw how strong your Pokemon were, and I wanted to test their strengths." Brendan said with excitement.
"I don't really mind challenging you either. May nodded in agreement, to Brendan's match proposal. "So what do you two say for a two against two friendly match?"
Flash Sentry and Twilight Sparkle looked at each other, and eventually gave a friendly cheerful smile. "Sure, me and Flash are in."
"Great. Lets get the battle started." Brendan exclaimed in excitement... until he heard his stomach grumble a bit again. "Okay... after getting something more to eat. Guess i'm still hungry even after eating only 1 cupcake."
"Okay. First we eat, and then we our match." May sighed, now stating the today's schedule. They returned their respective Pokemon to their Poke balls, and walked back inside Sugarcube Corner.
