The Longest Night of Her Life
Sweetie belle lie awake in her bed, it wasn't that she didn't know where she was, she was in Carousel Boutique her big sister's shop in, Ponyville. But besides the constant ticking of a clock about to sound that it was midnight and it wasn't the thought that she was about to turn the big 13 it was something, Rarity was going to tell her when suddenly a customer came in.
Sweetie, was replaying that moment in her head, "Sweetie Belle, can you come here please." Rarity called from the living room. She heared the taps of hoofs running down the stairs until... Sweetie Belle a little winded, "Yes, Rarity what do need?". "Every time I call doesn't mean I always need something darling." They shared a giggle and a smile. "Then what did you call me for then?" Sweetie Belle asked trying again. "Well I need you to go to Sugarcube Corner, Sweet Apple Acres, fluttershy' cottage..." Rarity droned on until.. "Rarity!" Sweetie Belle yelled in annoyance. Rarity giggled, "I'm kidding, I want to talk to you about something.". "Uhh, okay what is it?" Sweetie belle asked with pure couriosity. "It's about you and about your real.." Rarity was about to say something until the door to the boutique door belle clanged. "I'm sorry Sweetie I'll get back to you later." Rarity said as she left to attend to the customer. "Ok, I'll be free around 4:00 I'll be will be with Apple bloom and Scootalo until then." Sweetie belle added before Rarity left.

At Sweet Apple Acres, the older CMC were hanging out in their treehouse. "So. Uhh, what do you guys want to do?" Scootalo asked bored. "How 'bout trying to find our cutie marks?" Apple bloom joked. "Wow, I can't believe we used to do that." Sweetie belle said in sarcastic disbalief. "So I hear some pony is turning 13?" Scootalo said nudging Sweetie belle on the shoulder. 'Thanks for rubbing it in, Scoot." Sweetie belle said putting her head on Scoot's shoulder and rubbing gently. "How about we go to Crystal Hoof Lake?" Sweetie belle asked her friends. "Just like old times?" Scoot asked. "Exactly like old times." Sweetie said with a tooth filled smile.

At Crystal Hoof Lake the CMC swam and played games. "Hey, birthday girl why don't you go talk to some colts?" Scootalo asked nodding her head at a group if colts by the lake. "But... they're out of my league." Sweetie belle said blushing furiously. "How 'bout the rec one with red hair and blue and gold stripe and tone body," AB tilted her head " Hey I think he's looking at you?" Sweetie belle and the colt locked eyes and Sweetie, started blushing brighter than the sun and the colt just smiled and started to walk over. "Hi, I'm Excalaber." Excalaber said winking. Making Scoot and AB make kissy faces at them. Sweetie belle didn't even notice for her light green eyes and the colts emerald green eyes were too focused on each other. "Can I buy you a snack?" Excalaber asked. "S-s-sure." Sweetie belle mentally face hoofed for being so shy. The two walked over to the snack bar and shared an ice cream. When the day ended Sweetie belle and Excalaber exchanged hugs and left for home. But the down side to meeting Excalaber was he lived in another kingdom. Sweetie belle was heart broken but didn't take it to bad. By that Scoot and AB had to calm down their sobbing friend.

Finally when Celestia's sun retired for the night and the Princess of the Night's moon shone the CMC parted ways and said their goodbyes. When Sweetie belle reached Carousel Boutique and opened the front door she was met with a annoyed slightly mad rarity with a tousled mane and everything. "Do you know what time it is," Rarity asked in frustration "Well it's 9 p.m. and your 5 hours late. I was worried sick that you might have been taken or worst yet raped." Rarity said on the edge of yelling but keeping in mind the very late hour. "Rarity, I'm.." Sweetie was about to say something when Rarity cut her off. "Your what SORRY for being 5 hours late and makeing me worried sick." Rarity huffed. "But I mean it, I AM SORRY!!" Sweetie belle yelled. "Sweetie belle, you don't talk to me that way and fir that go to you room, I don't want to see till tomorrow morning!" Rarity screamed not caring at the very moment for the time of night. Sweetie didn't argue anymore it was rare for them to fight but when they did Rarity always ruled victor. Sweetie belle sulkily dragged herself up the stairs with tears in her eyes hopeful to cry herself to sleep.

Almost to midnight she had run out of tears and just couldn't sleep but besides the guilt of starting a fight wth Ratity she couldn't shake the "What was Rarity going to tell me" feeling. But just as if on cue there was a knock on the door. "Come in." Sweetie belle!s voice was a little hoarse from crying. "Sweetie, you sound terrible." Rarity said stepping into the room. "I'm fine." Sweetie interjected. "Anyways, I'm sorry for little quarrel." Rarity said as she felt a weight lift off her chest. "Me too.' Sweetie belle said feeling the same way. "Anyway picking up from where we left off when that rude customer came in, so where were we?" Rarity asked as the clock chimed and signaled midnight.
