Out there you only have two choices; fight to win or die. My name is Twilight Sparkle and I have just been exiled from Canterlot.

We are blinded to the world beyond our horizons, isolated of the world beyond our walls and fearful of the world beyond our knowledge.

Everything outside of Canterlot is viewed with a great deal of suspicion, not all of it unfounded; most ponies that step foot out of their hometown can easily fall into a few categories; soldiers, merchants, mercenaries, sociopaths, criminals, spies and exiles. The groups are not mutually exclusive of each other.

My name is Twilight Sparkle. I used to study at the Platinum University, I used to have a family that cared for me, I used to have a government salary. Now I am an exile, banished on pain of death from the Glorious City of Canterlot, disowned by my family and discredited by the university.
