Twilight visiting Rarities while Rarity was making a dress. Rarity has been working on it a lot as she put in a lot of effort into it. Twilight was over so Rarity talked to her while working on her dress. Twilight told Rarity that the dress was perfect which made Rarity blush from the compliment. Twilight accepted the compliment as the two continued to gossip about the news in the town and also talk about their friends.
While Rarity was working Rarity realized that she was missing something. She turned to Twilight and spoke planning to get the material she lacked.
"Twilight I will be back. I have to get some stuff for the dress that I don't have here" Rarity said. Twilight nodded and spoke.
"Alright I will be fine. See you when you get back." Twilight said.
"See you." Rarity said. And with that Rarity left leaving Twilight alone in the boutique. Twilight admired the dress and felt it even though Rarity didn't want her to touch it. It felt and looked really pretty. Twilight thought it was a beautiful and successful dress. Rarity will earn a lot of money for this one.
Twilight ran her hooves on it feeling it. She then got an idea. She looked around to make sure Rarity was far from the boutique and then went to put the dress on her. It almost fit but it was kind of loose. She would have to request one in her size. Twilight admired it one more time and removed it.
Something awful happened though as she took it off she took it off to fast and the dress was suffered a major rip right in the side. Twilight gasped and dropped it. She looked at it not believing what she did. She picked it up and examined it. She was screwed! Rarity has been putting so much work in it and now Twilight ruined it. She should have left it alone.
Twilight freaked out about what would happen if Rarity saw the rip and saw her by the dress. Rarity would flip if she sees it. Twilight panicked and mentally cursed herself. Twilight felt like she was screwed. She couldn't believe what happened. She thought over her options of what she should do. She thought of repairing it but if Rarity saw the repair to he dress Rarity would figure out what happen. Twilight could run to her home but that wouldn't be smart because Rarity would see the rip and see that she left without a goodbye and connect those two facts to come to the truth, Twilight could lie which would cover her but she hated lying and last she could tell he truth which would be embarrassing and scary if Rarity heard about it and get angry and scream.
Twilight was in a tough bind. In a few minutes Rarity would be back with her missing supplies and see what happened to the dress. Twilight shook from fright but tried to control herself as she continued to freak out about the dress. Twilight would be embarrassed if she had to apologize for it. Twilight definitely didn't want to run the dress to Rarity and confess either as Rarity would most possibly blow a fuse and scream. Twilight looked at the dress and despaired. She had no idea on what to do.
Twilight looked over at the door and thought up what might happen. If Twilight ran from Rarities Rarity would see the rip and connect Twilight to it and walk to her place and things would get ugly. Twilight tried to calm herself down but it was no use. Twilight looked at the dress again. The damage was done and she was now a sitting duck awaiting the wrath of Rarity.
Twilights mouth was dry as she stared at the door thinking on what to do. Twilight wondered if Rarity would even accept her apology if she did apologize for the dress. She wondered how mad Rarity would get when she finds out. Twilight did now want to see Rarities angry side. Twilight rubbed her forehead in distress. Twilight felt horrible for doing such a stupid thing. Twilight dreaded Rarities return. Rarity would not be happy when she comes back.
She could not believe what she had done to the dress. All that hard work that Rarity did was now ruined and Twilight felt terrible about he entire trouble that she had now caused. Twilight couldn't stand having the rip discovered. When Rarity sees it she will probably yell at Twilight which Twilight did not like the prospect of one of her friends yelling at her.
Twilight looked over to the door. Rarity would be back soon and Twilight would have to have to explain what happened. Twilight would not be able to handle Rarities reaction knowing that it will mostly be very angry. Twilight knew that she would have to think up an excuse but that would be impossible since Twilight knew that Rarity could see if Twilight lied and plus Twilight had to always be honest with her friends.
Twilight hated e idea of lying and she hated the fact that she ruined a very beautiful dress. She hoped that the dress was salvageable. She wondered about fixing it first again and then explaining what happened to Rarity. But then she also thought about Twilight being even more upset since Twilight might fix the dress in a way that Rarity would not be happy with. Twilight groaned in frustration. Her good day was completely ruined by her screw up.
As soon as she groaned Rarity walked in and went over to the dress. Twilights heart got caught in her throat. Twilight panicked not knowing what to do. Twilight wondered if she she should wait and then confess if Rarity found it or confess right now. She decided to confess.
"Rarity...I need to tell you something...." Twilight said starting to cry. Rarity looked at her as she felt the rip and looked over at it. Rarities eyes widened as she groaned. Twilight knew this wasn't good. Twilight was starting to loose it. Rarity turned to Twilight.
"Twilight...how did my dress get ripped?" Rarity asked. Twilight started to cry. Tears leaked from her eyes as she told the truth.
"When you went out I went to admire it and feel it since I loved it and I was so excited I ripped it while not paying attention." Twilight said confessing. Twilight sobbed and cried as she lowered her head and let tears trail from her eyes. Rarity looked over at the dress. Twilight cried hysterically as she was afraid that Rarity would kick her out and scream.
As Twilight cried Rarity walked over to her. Twilight shook in fear. Rarity eyed her.
"Twilight look at me." Rarity said. Twilight heard that and almost puked in fright. Twilight refused not wanting to know what could happen.
"Twilight look." Rarity said. Twilight looked up as she was scared at what Rarity could do. This was it. Twilight was finally going to know how Rarity would react. Rarity looked at Twilight with a very serious look.
"You...ripped my dress. The dress I worked so hard on...the dress I spent large amount of bits on just to get supplies and I go out after working on it and you manage to rip it. You managed to rip my expensive worked on dress that I was near finishing! And you expect me to be all understanding?!" Rarity asked her voice raising. Twilight was horrified at how this was going.
"Do you know ho many bits those materials were bought for that you ripped?" Rarity asked sternly.
"I-uh I'm s-" Twilight began to say but Rarity cut her off.
"Do you know how many!?!?" Rarity screamed. Twilight broke down and cried.
"I don't know!!!" Twilight sobbed in despair.
"Six Hundred bits and you ruined it!!!!" Rarity yelled. Twilight was crying hysterically.
"Maybe...it can be...fixed." Twilight said crying.
"It's screwed!!!! It can't be fixed Twilight!! I can't buy those materials again I don't have enough bits now because I spent all the bits on these supplies!!" Rarity screamed. Rarity huffed as she looked at Twilight sobbing from being yelled at.
"Get out of my house!!" Rarity screamed. Twilight ran out sobbing not believing what happened. Twilight ran all the way to her house. Twilight knew she shouldent have told her. Twilight guessed that Rarity would react this way right before she told Rarity and she was right! Twilight sobbed as she ran all the way home hoping that she could apologize soon.
Twilight was in her room thinking on the horrible thing that she had done. She caused Rarity nothing but trouble after ruining a very nice and beautiful dress that Rarity had worked hourse on. Twilight was angry at herself but she did calm down as she waited for the appropriate time to apologize.
Twilight didn't want to apologize to soon as the event just transpired and Rarity needed time to calm down and Twilight had to reflect on her mistake that she should have never commited. She decided on apologizing Rarity but waited. Twilight was shocked at How Rarity acted as she thought that Rarity would be more understanding but Rarity might be understand now as time passed and Rarity was able to cool off. Twilight started to think of an apology she could say to Rarity. She hoped Rarity would forgive her.
Twilight got up to stretch as she walked back and forth not thinking about anything but her apology. She tried to form it the best way she could but she wanted it to sound sincere. She couldent just say that she was sorry. She had to do more that that if she was going to get Raritues acceptance of her apology. Twilight hated that she was in this mess as it could have never happened if Twilight never messed with the dress and did what she did with it, ripping get the dress along with ruining all of Raritues hard work into a very pretty dress.
It was a shame that Twilight ripped it as Twilight loved that dress. That was the next thing Twiligh started to cry about. she cried over how much she loved Rarities dress and so it was sad when she ripped it. Twilight wondered how mad Rarity was right now. She was fuming when she first kicked Twilight out. Twilight was afraid of finding out. Rarity may be calming down but if Twilight came back it would probably make Rarities mood sour again so she didn't want to take that chance so she waited.
While waiting Twilight wondered if Rarity would reject her apology. What would she do then? Twilight hoped that her and Rarity were still friends as she would hate seeing it be destroyed over a dress that Twilught ripped. They have been through so much. Twilight was afraid of what Rarity would say if they saw eachother again. Would Rarity break up their friendship over the dress? It was a very pretty piece of art that was carefully crafted by her friend. And what did she do? She ruined it. She wondered if Rarity would throw it away and start on another dress or fix it so that it was pretty again.
Twilight was angry at herself for doing such a thing. Rarity was only gone for a few minutes and Twilight got herself into a pretty avoidable situation if she kept her hooves to herself and just waited. Twilight hoped that Rarity wasn't that enraged as she was earlier. She wished that she wasn't the one that did it and there was no running away from her mistake. She would have to face Rarity sooner or later and not delay it as she was tempted to do.
Twilight couldent delay it as she was afraid that it would only make the situation worse for herself. She decided to read a book to try and take her mind off of the horrible thing that she had done. She admitted to herself that she was guilty. She would have to take responsibility for her mistake. After that she wrote a letter to the princess asking on what to do. The princess says to say your sorry.
She had to agree with the princess on this one. So she went to Raritues house and stood outisde the door. She was afraid to think that she should have waited longer. She hoped that she wasn't faced with hostility from Rarity over some ripped material. Twilight finally got over to the area where Rarity was living and she got nervous and got a dry mouth from being nervous.
She stood near the door but out of sight thinking over her apology hoping to memorize it and hoping that it will be accepted. She positioned her hoof to knock on the door but hesitated. She hoped Rarity wouldnt demand her to leave or pressure her to apologize. She then pushed all of her doubts aside and knocked. Rarity stepped out and looked at Twilight with a softer but still stern glare.
"Yes Twilight?" Rarity asked serously. Twilight hesitated and stuttered as she was to lost for words. She then took a deep breath as Rarity eyed Twilight. Twilight took deep steady breaths hoping to not take to long to apologize. Soon she spoke.
"Rarity I really want to apologize for the dumb thing that I did to your dress. It was wrong of me to touch your dress without permission. It was an accident as I wasn't thinking as I looked at it. I was just trying to admire it as it was a pretty dress. I hope you take this in consideration and forgive me. Im sorry Rarity I won't do it again." Twilight said apologizing. Rarity looked at her for a few seconds and spoke.
"I forgive you." Rarity said. Twilight squealed in happiness as they both hugged eachother. Then they fell back from the hug.
"I promise to never mess up your dresses again." Twilight said starting to cry. Rarity hugged her.
"It's okay it's all over." Rarity said reassuringly.
"Are you mad at me?" She asked. Rarity shook her head.
"Not anymore I'm sorry for how I acted." Rarity said.
"I forgive you." Twilight told her.
They both forgave eachother and that's what they both liked as they continued living their friendship as Twilight and Rarity were both happy that they didn't end their friendship over it either.
