Dawn of The Ice King: Tournament

“Honey I’m bored!” I called out to Fluttershy, “There’s nothing to do and it’s too hot even if there was.”

“Did you see if the girls wanted to do anything?” She asked from the bedroom.

“No but like I said it is soooo hot.” I whined.

She laughed, “Stop being such a big baby, it’s only 85 outside, go talk to our friends, they need something to do as well probably.”

“Ugh fiiiine.” I got up slowly and stretched, man this summer has been super super boring.

“And take Golden Skies with you, she’s been up in her room all day.”

“Yes dear.” I inhaled deeply, “GOLDY COME ON WE GOTTA GO, YOUR MOTHER IS KICKING US OUT!!!” I yelled up the stairs.

“I am not!” Shy yelled back.

“It’s fine mom, we’ll be back in a little while.” Golden Said from the top of the stairs, she glided down and landed with a soft thud, wincing.

“Golden what did I tell you about gliding inside?” I asked my daughter.

“I know I know, I won’t do it again…probably.” She mumbled that last part.

I raised my eyebrow, “What was that?”

“Nothing, let’s go see Auntie Rarity First.” She said leaving the house.

“Love you dear, see you later!”

Honestly the day went by very slow. But I did get an idea of something to do for this summer while talking to Rainbow and AJ. Which is why I am currently at the library, writing a letter to Celestia, because I left my messaging gem at home and the library was closer.

Dear Celestia,

Hey Tia, it’s me, Chris, so I have an idea since this summer has been kinda boring, I want to have a tournament. I’m not going to lie, I’ve been itching to have a fight lately, and I’m not sure if it’s just a power thing. If it is then you and Luna and any other powerful creature on the planet feels it too right? The urge to test your strength against an opponent who could be just as strong as you if not stronger. Even the need to test yourself against those you know who are weaker than you to make them stronger. Anyone can join and it’ll be set up like a bracket system, I say make the announcement and give people a week to sign up and a week to train or get ready. Obviously I want in and I say that you and Luna should be placed at the top automatically since you know, you two are gods and anyone who make sit up there fights Luna, and if they manage to beat her they fight you. You can work out any details…. That is if you want the tournament at all.

“Spike can you send this?” I asked handing the letter over to the dragon.
He grabbed the letter, “Sure no problem, one sec.” he blew his emerald fire over it and the waft of smoke floated out the window. A couple of minutes afterwards spike belched out a return letter and handed it to me.

Dear Chris,

Chris I won’t say you’re wrong in that Luna and I have had the urge to test our strengths every now and again and back before Luna was banished we would hold tournaments like the one you suggested quite often. Needless to say I think that’s a wonderful idea. I will make the announcement tomorrow and I can’t wait to see who signs up. Thank you for this wonderful idea.
