Quite Possibly, The Best Hangover Ever!
You start to feel your mind kicking back into a state of half a cloudy half awakened awareness, as you do you begin to feel a dull thudding feeling hit the back of your head. Spreading throughout your neck and lower back, you try to move your body but all of your joints are aching like crazy, even the tin man from the Wizard of Oz could move better than this. You start to realize just how bad your hangover is about to be, remembering all of that dancing you did last night with your friends, the smell of a cold pizza wafted through the air, again reminding you of last night's little after party back at your place.
You've suffered hangovers before, after all you are a 2nd year student now. So it's not something too hard to handle, this unfortunately was one of those hangovers that just made you want to weep, as you fully awaken you feel your stomach curdle as your muscles are beat to shit. With barely any energy, you lay lifeless on the settee, begging for some kind of miracle to come along and make it all better. Alas, for us humans such magic and miracles do not exist without bed rest and modern medicine. It's the price we pay in the midst of making unruly choices that we young folks do in the name of having a little fun, only to be smacked in the face with reality again the next day.
Suddenly you feel something moving beneath you under the sheets, a cold shiver goes shooting up your spine. The very hairs on the back of your neck standing on end. We've all seen those horror movies, especially the grudge, where she comes up out at you from under the bed ( but that's only the Japanese version). From what your blurry eyed vision could make out, the shape under the covers by your feet was just a little bigger than a football, like a large cat almost. So it surely isn't grudged size? You decide to reach for your bat that's resting just beside the couch, wrapping your first tightly around the base, you pick it up in a hunter's pose ready to strike whatever may be lying beneath the sheets.
The moment your about to bring your arm down upon the mound of duvet, a little sneeze comes from underneath the covers.
"Achooo", it squeaked.
The noise was so incredibly cute, it made you drop the bat which hit the deck with a thud. The little creature, whatever it was started to move its way up from underneath the sheets up into the light just a foot away from your face. It has a purple texture, bright gleaming eyes that seemed very warming, and a sweet scented aroma that you had never smelt before.
"Hi" it said.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship from the magical land of Equestria". It said with a female voice.
'Was it female?' you wonder. 'It was female?'. Your mind began to race with excitement, whatever this was she certainly seemed friendly"
"I believe your having a bad morning, don't worry I'm here to cheer you up. The Crystal empire started a multiverse campaign to help people out who just need a cuddle, and well I'm one of the delegates on that project" She said in a bouncy positive tone.
You want to ask her so many things, what Equestria is, why she looks like a flying unicorn with a lavender texture. But something about her and what she just said made you want to ignore any talking at all, she was just so incredibly sweet, and smart and cute and quite possibly the nicest being you've ever met in the universe. Not sure if you are dreaming or awake, you dare not question its validity. Instead, you go along with what she says.
"Don't worry, I'm sure this is confusing, but I'm very good at what I do. We only have 2 hours before the portal closes and I have to go back, so I hope this time is useful to you" She said lowering her tone in indication of the set parameters.
Feeling a little saddened already that you only get two hours, the clock reading 8:45 am meaning your friends are likely to be awake by then you see it's probably for the best. The lavender alicorn got hold of the sheets and wrapped them around you and her, using her wings she wriggled herself into you so you are cocooned within her embrace.
"Is that okay, I'm not squishing you too much am I?" She said in such an attentive voice.
It was really astounding to know that somewhere out there, the was some world full of colorful magical talking equines. Somewhow with the technology to interdimensional travel. All of it seemed too good to be true, but then you realize something. Its 8:46am and your able to read the clock. Without even realizing you had done a reality check, it was real, all of this was really happening!
Her little lavender paws were wrapped around you chest, her tail coiled between your legs gently stroking them with a swishing motion. You felt her wet button nose touch your back, and it was really cute. A sudden tear began to fall from your eyes, you had never felt so loved in all of your life. The warmth that was created between you both was incredible, her soft silky furr caressing your skin, making your insides turn to mush. You turn around from your once assumed spooning position to bring her into the folks of your arms, something about her gave you the sense that even Princesses needed a special cuddle too, and she definitely seemed to like this.
As you begin to pat her head and stroke behind her ears, she lets out a little purring sound as you gently rub the back of her head and down her mane, the whole motion between you both flowing perfectly in time. All of the aches and pains from before have been completely replaced with a ball of fluffy snuggles and purring ecstasy. For the first time in your life, this is the most blissed out you have ever been. The little alicorn began to let out soft little licks of your hand, her ears twitching every now and then in a playful manner.
You notice that she has a star shaped pattern on the side of her rump and as you touch it, she disappears.
10:46am reads the clock, and you realize your time is up.
'I guess we got so caught up in the moment, she forgot to tell me our time was running out to say goodbye. Still wherever you are Miss Sparkle, you will always have a special place in my heart'. You sigh to yourself as you lay back down on the couch.
For you this really was a rare occurrence, and certainly, quite possibly the best snuggle ever!
