The Mare in the Clock Tower
The rain is pouring very hard against the castle's window, both Twilight and Starlight are sleeping. While Spike was up in the kitchen for a late night snack. As Spike was picking up his stack of sandwiches he heard a group of frantic knocks on the castle door. Spike herded over to the door with his sandwiches, to see a yellow furred pink maned pegasus soaked at the door. “Fluttershy!?!”
In the kitchen the four sat, Flutters starting her story off, “There I was calming my animals from the storm that came in. From out of nowhere right after a close strike of lightning I could hear the scream of a filly… Twilight, it came from the clock tower, what if it's true what if he is hurting fillies, Twilight?” There was silence.
After a while Starlight a unicorn with a light shade of pink fur and mostly purple and blue striped mane responded “Dr. Gear can not be evil like the rumors said, no filly has disappeared yet”
Twilight the light purple alicorn princess responded. “If you think he's up to something we will go over there when the storm lets up, for now lets just get some rest.”
With the smell of the grassy dew, and the sun rising in the east, Twilight and Fluttershy are seen walking to the clock tower. The clock tower, It’s big size towered over them with it’s shadow reaching pass them. With a quick couple knocks, and a pause, then the door slowly opened.
Out of the crack between the door and the doorway appeared a orange furred, Blue & Steel-Blue, messy maned earth pony, with a dirty pair of crimson goggles in his mane.”Hello Princess Twilight, and Fluttershy how can i help you on this fine morning.”
“You can help us, Dr. Gear by explaining to Fluttershy that you're not evil, and that the screams she heard were in her mind.”
“Y-y-yeah, umm, For one i’m not evil. T-they were just rumors, a-and what s-s-screams I heard nothing. Beside the great storm that happen last night… Can you thank Rainbowdash for that, thanks bye.”The door slammed and a the sound of a lock was heard.
”O..k… Let's go Fluttershy.”
Inside the castle the main six are at the map table talking about what happen at the tower. Twilight is in the middle of telling her story“... so he answers my two questions, exactly the way I thought they should be answered, he also stuttered many times, but then he just slams the door and locks it, does it seem suspicious… Pinkie Pie you know everypony right how does he usually act.”
The brite pink pony with a fluffy darker pink mane spock up. “Well he's kind, smart... and he stuttered so he may be hiding something… or it was really cold this morning… was it, I was asleep in till you got us a few minutes ago… Oh dashy you had that area for the storm last night do you know what happen.”
The cyan and rainbow pegasus quickly answered “Y-yeah…” a long pause filled the room.
“Well sugar cube are ya goin to say what happened” Applejack the orange furred and blond maned, earth pony said impatiently.
“I think he really did not what me to tell you this though…”
Rarity The white furred and dark purple mane replied “Whatever it is darling it will not be horrible to tell us.”
“Well he payed me a big bag of bits for some of the lightning filled clouds, there are to be a set about of lighting in each area and each pegasi has the set amount for their area,I had a lot of paperwork and some stuff to make up, was up longer than i should have been”
“Who knows he might be doing pranks like you do sometimes, dashy.” The pink "party" pony defined.
“I don't think so Pinky” Starlight said “ he is an earth pony right, don't you need to be a pegasi to do what Dash did.”
“Yeah and he didn't need to pay for them it a little less thunder for my Flutters.” Dash not realising what she said, or realising how bright red ‘her Flutters’ is, she goes on, ”other then that i set up the clouds, lied my way out of the lost of lighting and Yyhaaa.. I still need to sleep.”
“ Yeah i'm sorry for waking you up, but…”Rarity interrupted but Rainbow Douse off before she could really anypony.
“We know how much you will be willing help your Fluffy, small, cute, animal loving, and how you hope she will ride the rainb-”
“ RARITY!!” Aj yelled.
“Oh come on did you see how she tried to help her Flutters with her night.”
“Girls, girls let's get back on topic” Twilight said trying to calm the two from going into a fight, like they would ever fight hoof by hoof but it could go out like that sooner or later
Pinky called out to help “Yeah, please Aj and Rarity, This is a mystery not a romance, but if you want one please tells us in the comments.”
Fluttershy raised up still furiously blushing “Pinky I really appreciate that you're trying to help, same with you Twilight but seriously Aj and Rarity My neighbor may be KILLING fillies so can we please get a plan of some sort to figure this out.”
Starlight filled the long silence “Wow Fluttershy, ok let's put all this together. He could have something to hide, he has lightning filled clouds… Wait Rainbow Dash can earth ponies move those kind of clouds without a jar, a big jar or help from a pegasi.”
“wha-”She gets up looking around, Not knowing what happened, starlight asked again, ”Oh, umm, no not really but he had no problem with it at all…”
Looking over the facts she wrote down Twilight finally said “ Whatever is going on over there it can not be good, can it.”
“We could have a civil tea party and have a nice chat.” Pinkie announced.
“Pinkie, Nows not the tim-… not a bad idea, how about it girls, who with us.”
“Yall be with ya Twilight.” AJ, said trying not to look at Rarity
“I guess i will go to darling.” Rarity said, doing the same as AJ
“Rainbow you don’t need to join if you don’t what to, I meen you need your sleep and everything, so I don't really want to bother you or anything, don’t be mad that i woke you up.” Fluttershy said, well shyly.
“Oh come on Fluttershy i can’t be mad at you, but i am too tired to join you right now so please don’t be upset.”
Starlight spoke up “Sorry Twilight i can't right now remember it’s my turn with the chores.”
“You do know that you don’t have to do that right” Twilight responded
“Yeah… I know, just I like it...Ok, b- baka.” Starlight said blushing
“Baka… have you been reading spike’s “new” comics that he got from Flutter-” Twilight tried to say before Starlight stopped her and was pushing all of them out of the room,
“A-any way you gals need to find if somepony is bad right.” Starlight said nervously. She closed the door with the other ponies on the other side and let out a sigh.
