//-------------------------------------------------------// Outranking an Officer -by Inanimax- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Our Silent Regrets //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Our Silent Regrets Military protocol required Soarin to salute every officer he passed by. While he was the senior NCO, he was just that, an NCO, not an officer. The way the Wonderbolts are arranged, there is only allowed to be one ceremonial officer, the role filled by Spitfire. Only when Spitfire decides to step down then will the spot be vacant. Soarin wasn’t even the second pony for the job, the executive in commend of the squad was Fleetfoot. Despite being a member of the Wonderbolts for nearly seven seasons, he was only third in the command chain. Of course, that was only within the Wonderbolt barracks. As Soarin trotted through the Central Tower of the Canterlot palace, he was outranked by Royal Guards left and right. This is something Soarin often regrets. He often wished he took that acceptance letter to join the Royal Guard Academy over the Wonderbolts. While being in the Wonderbolts is a high honor, something very few ponies (and fewer stallions in this mare dominated unit) could ever be a part of. Though among the military elite of Equestria, they are regarded the in much the same way he sees the Filly Scouts. Behind closed quarters the Royal Guards would often poke fun at the Wonderbolts for being the easiest of the armed branches to serve in, mocking their less intense physical training and comfortable luxury quarters. It is true, as performers they often housed in temperature controlled living areas, with the fines of silks for their racks. On the other hand many stallions joined the Royal Guard, in fact nearly all stallions who could not get a profession elsewhere enlisted with the Guards. A chance for an easy cutie mark, consistent paycheck and food, and health insurance was the big draw. Soarin knew if only he joined at that age, he would perhaps be a Major or a Lieutenant Colonel by this point. However he was now much older, if he tried to enlist now he would be competing against younger stallions more fit and youthful blank minds to be molded, while all his Wonderbolt rank and honors would count for nothing, his age would work against him, and he would be reduced down to the rank of a private again. The only real reason he joined the Wonderbolts was because he would be one of only three stallions ever to join the fleet. The area of aerial performance until recently had been dominated by mares. He knew because of that stigma in place, it would be impossible for him to get any high ranking position. Back when he joined, young and naïve he didn’t care, he would tell everypony that he was joining for the honor and privilege to be called a Wonderbolt. Today that title didn’t mean shit, if he couldn’t get an officer paygrade then, what was the point of wasting the prime of his life with this air troupe. Soarin marched down the hallway of the Palace in a sturdy manner, while out of uniform he still needed to show his discipline. A group of younger Royal Guards leaning against the wall on break gave a little chuckle as Soarin saluted them walking by. “At ease there, Fairy Corps,” they laughed in response to the salute. Damn that’s embarrassing, Soarin thought. That is the problem, he had to salute every officer. Most, didn’t mind and would brush it off or ignore him, but if he came across that one officer who was offended he didn’t present arms he would be spending the rest of the day doing mess duty or worst, in the Hole. Soarin shuttered. Just then a bugle was sounded. “Attention, attention all units,” an overhead voice spoke through the magically amplified speakers. “All active personal and Wonderbolts must report to the Parade Grounds after noon mess. Pass and Review practice for the Summer Sun Celebration will commence until sundown. This is a mandatory full dress parade rehearsal for ALL PERSONAL! That is all.” The voice clicked off. Soarin sighed. He still had tasks to do before he could even get lunch. I doubt he would even have time for food, full dress means an hour getting into uniform. He hated full dress uniform. Damn, there goes my mess hall pie. Though truthfully Soarin hated the magically dehydrated powered they tried to pass off as apple pie, but it is the best he could get until local leave after the Summer Sun Celebration. “Hey where is my salute butterfly wings?” Soarin looked lost in this own thoughts as he passed by an earth pony officer wearing a smirk on his face. “Oh sorry sir,” Soarin yanked his right hoof so fast up to his forehead he could not control its trajectory, accidently smacking his muzzle in the process. The earth pony broke down laughing. “At ease, at ease.” He wiped tears of laugher from his eyes. “That is some funny stuff butterfly wings, you should do a standup act that the next ESO show.” As Soarin left the officer in a laughing fit, he grumbled to himself. Blah, officers. Dumb earth pony, can’t even fly or use magic. Looks like a young colt. If I was joined the Guards I would probably out rank him by now. Soarin hated the fact the earth pony looked years younger than him, yet his shoulder epilates were grades higher his own. If only I was an officer in the Royal Guard. Soarin continued in his daydreams as he headed to the North Tower. If only. The resentment Soarin had for the Royal Guards, only intensified as he walked up the steps of the North Tower. Of all the people he had to see at this moment, it was the damn Commanding Officer of the Royal Guards. A spoiled rich colt from a privileged family. Somepony Soarin did not want to talk to. “Forward march!” Shining Armor in full ceremonial armor shouted in front of a large mirror marching in place. “Right wheel march!” Shining turned his body right, mimicking he commands he was calling out. “Present arms! Order arms!” Shining paused, looking at the scroll in front of him. “I mean—eyes right!” Shining nodded, trying to remember the command that came next. “Ready front.” Shining sighed then collapsed in front of the mirror trying to grab the scroll with his hooves. “How in Celestia’s name can I remember all these commands by heart in time for today’s parade practice? I mean not only that, I am the one leading the precession, how the heck am I going to keep in step without anypony in front of me.” Shining liked to talk out loud to himself. That was always one of Shining’s problems, he hated marching. He could never keep in step with the cadence of the band’s drum beat. He always had to cheat by observing the pony before him. Now he will be leading the reviewing officers, meaning he would have to keep step for every pony after him. Shining collapsed on his back, messing up his armor. He didn’t care. He never wanted to be an officer anyways. He was born into the role. His mother, Twilight Twinkle, 1st Duchess of Fillideplia, was a member of one of the highest ranking of peerage titles in Equestria, while they lived a humble life, this meant he was promoted up the ranks of the Royal Guards based on name alone. He didn’t feel like he deserved it, he never wanted to be a guard. It didn’t feel right. He looked at himself in the mirror. His officer rank shone in the sunshine. He didn’t deserve it. Unlike his younger sister, who earned her title of Princess of Friendship for combating countless foes and saving Equestria more times than anypony could count. Shining knew his rank, his title, his position, were all just handed to him on a silver platter. While the other Guards had to salute in his presence, he knew he never would earn their respect, behind closed doors he could hear them mocking him. Compared to the other Guard members, he was not built for the job. His body was too slender, almost mare-like, his hooves were limp wristed, and he could barely do a push up. Shining moped around on the floor of his quarters for a few minutes before remembering he would have to memorize all those commands in less than two hours. “Damn it, I am doing this anymore. I want out.” Shining ran to the window, for a second thinking he was a pegasus who could just fly away. Luckily the window was too small to even fit his muzzle through, a fall from his height would have killed him. “Damn it Celestia! I shouldn’t be me leading the procession. It should be my sister, Twily earned it. Wait, Twily!” Just then Shining remembered his sister gave him a book of spells for his birthday a year ago. He never had the chance to learn magic spell like his sister, with the military training and all, but as a unicorn, he had an unscratchable urge for casting spells and need to flex his magic horn every once in a while. “Let’s see, invisibility spell, invisibility spell. Hey, if I am invisible no one can force me to do anything.” Well, that would probably force everypony to put drill on halt and go searching for him, but he didn’t care, he wanted out. He never felt right being in the Guards anyways. Hopefully this would be enough grounds to expel him. He knew his wife wouldn’t like that. Though she was far away up north and the two never had time for each other anyways. That’s the thing, Shining never felt like he was the dominant one, being the highest ranking officer, the stallion of the house. In reality he is very submissive and would just once like Cadence to cuddle him in her hooves and comfort him rather than the other way around. Of course, given his position, even in private, it would be impossible to ever find himself in the submissive role. Shining sighed as he flipped frantically through the pages. There must be a spell in here, any spell will do. Something to make him invisible, make him small, make him a fly or an orange even—well temporarily, long enough so he could avoid his duties for the reminder of the day. There was a knock on the door. “Sir, I have something to report to you.” “Shoot,” Shining said out loud, he frantically tore through the pages. “They are here for me already. Please I just want to be left alone.” “Sir, are you there?” The knock repeated again. “Okay, here’s a spell.” Shining didn’t know what the spell did, he hoped it was a teleportation spell. “Quod placet in transmutare!” Author's Note So, what will his new form be? How you folks take a guess... //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Right in Plain Sight //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Right in Plain Sight Soarin knocked on the door again, “Sir, I have something important to report.” There was no answer, though he could have sworn he heard something earlier. Soarin grumbled, officers. There was no reason not to open the door, it was not like he would be embarrassed in the middle of changing. In fact Soarin himself was naked. There was no shame to hide nudity, thought Soarin to himself, though again the officer is an elitist unicorn. Unicorns are normally more fussy about such things. Soarin knocked again, visibly more upset. Perhaps he is having his private time. Then again, that happened at night or in the morning… normally. Though officers have the privilege to do it whenever, so that’s another story. “I am evoking, Special Order 153,” Soarin shouted. Meaning, that after five knocks, if an officer did not open their quarters then the person knocking is in the right to open the door and check if the officer is still alive or compromised. This was put into place in fear of Changelings impersonating Royal Guard members as it would normally take them a while to morph back to pony form and get their armor on correctly. Soarin kicked the door open and the flew open. There was no pony in the room. Hmm, that’s weird, thought Soarin. The Royal Guard Captain was supposed to be in his quarters at this hour. Shining blinked laying silent. He tried very hard not to move. He had no idea what happened, though he assumed he had shrunken down as his armor towered over him. Was he a miniature pony or a bug? He didn’t know, all he wanted to do at that moment was not draw any attention to himself until the blue pegasus left the room. The blue pegasus trotted around the room, first in a respectful manner as if he was looking for Shining. Then when he realized no one was around, he took a more casual look around, carefully eyeing the plaques and medals on Shining’s dresser. Then the pegasus trotting in Shining’s direction, up to the armor piled in front of the mirror. Shining remained still as the pegasus peered down, staring directly at Shining. Was he caught? After a moment the pegasus started looking at the other pieces of armor surrounding Shining. Whatever he was, he was able to fool the pegasus. The pegasus looked back at him again. Shining froze once more. He could see the pegasus up closely now, his light blue fur, dark bags under his worn eyes, dark blue mane slicked back. While, it was obvious the pegasus didn’t know he was looking back, Shining felt himself in an awkward position, never before had he observed the face of another stallion this close before. He didn’t know what to make of it. The blue pegasus had that surfer look Shining saw common with ponies from the coastal cities. He hated to admit it, but the last time he visited a beach of surfers, he found himself hitting on what he thought were beautiful mares only for him to find out they were in fact stallions. There was something about that surfer look that make Shining’s mind act emotionally different. The pegasus backed away and trotted out of the room, closing the door behind. Shining sighed. Well, that mess was avoided. As he heard the trotting of the pegasus fade away he tried to get up. He couldn’t move. Puzzled he tried to move his limbs. He realized he didn’t have limbs. Okay, well then he tried moving his head. His head didn’t move. Wait, what was he? He was sure he turned into a small version of himself or a bug. Well if he was a bug, that pegasus would have probably smashed him with his hoof, that wouldn’t end well. Was he invisible? Well, if he was, why was he also immobile? Was he an orange or something? He recalled his sister had a spell to turn creatures into oranges. She once accidentally turned herself into a peach. Humorous, one night when she was drunk on cider she admitted she turned herself into a pair of silk panties. Who would create such spells to begin with? Well whatever he was, he was stuck. Hopefully the spell would revert him back to pony form soon. He chose a spell from the temporary section of the book. If he casted the wrong one, well then he had much bigger problems, as no one would know what he done to himself. Shining tried to get a good look at himself in the mirror in front of him. He couldn’t see anything but his armor. Was that it? Did he merge himself with the armor? Or a piece of the armor? That could perhaps explain things, though; he wasn’t sure what piece he was. As he thought to himself about his situation he heard the door open once more, he cursed then quickly silenced himself, in fear of being heard. Soarin was ordered back to the North Tower, he was told he could not enter the mess hall until he reported to the Captain of the Royal Guards. Well this is going to be a long day for the both of us, Soarin thought as he trotted around the room once more. He had to wait for the captain to return, so he decided to make the best of it and resume his sightseeing tour of the room. He looked at the comfy bed spread out in front of him. It was messy and unmade. Soarin grumbled, he was forced to tuck his sheets into hospital corners in the morning before formation. He sighed at the idea of officers getting the “royal” treatment. Something odd had caught Soarin’s attention. He noticed that the blanket and pillows of the bed were embroidered with the cutie mark of the captain. This was something unique, as all other officers normally just had their name embroidered in the corner of their sleepwear. Soarin then backed away and peaked into the bathroom to satisfy his curiosity. Sure enough the towels were also embroidered with the same cutie mark. Soarin ran to the desk, all the paper and stationary had the cutie mark printed on them. “Damn, spoiled officer, gets everything personalized.” Not even Spitfire was able to afford to do that. “So that’s how our royals spend Equestria’s Treasury.” Soarin sat on the bed and grumbled, not liked it mattered, the bed was unmade, nopony would notice. As the minutes ticked by, the pile of armor sat in front of the mirror, as if calling for Soarin. “No, no. Never going to do that.” Soarin turned away and closed his eyes. Then he sweated a bit and slowly opened one eye. “Well, I guess it wouldn’t hurt.” Soarin ran to the door, he looked to make sure no ponies were around, closed it, locking the deadbolt above the knob. “Okay, dude, only for one minute. Then you put it back where you saw it.” Soarin gleefully trotted over to the armor then, after trying to engrain their scattered arrangement into his memory, he slowly put on the breast plate. Above Shining he saw the blue pegasus was back. He was slowly putting each piece of his armor on, one by one. Shining shouted as loud as he could, threatening to demote the pegasus, but it was no good. Whatever he was, he didn’t have a vocal chords. Before he knew it, the realization dawned on him, if he did merge with his armor, he was going to be worn. As much as he cringed at the idea of being worn by a stallion (a somewhat cute stallion he would admit) he realized this was his chance to see what piece of the armor he merged with. Once by one, the pegasus put on piece by piece, until only the shako helmet was left. Oh thank Celestia, something that doesn’t have to cling to the private areas, thought Shining. The pegasus put on the helmet and the full dress armor uniform was complete. Shako and all. Wait, if he wasn’t the helmet, what was he? Shining was still on the floor below the towering pegasus. Did he merge with the rug? If so, that was an odd transformation. The pegasus pranced before the mirror, making poses in the armor. That was something that annoyed Shining, that was his armor. An enlisted pegasus had no right to wear it. Though puzzling thought of figuring out his current form was more concerning at the moment. Just then he saw a blue hoof step on him, he embraced for pain, but felt none. The hoof lifted up then hoovered again, stomping on him once more. Well whatever he was, he was flat. He tried to blink with the weight of the hoof upon him, but with no eyelids he could only stare at the pegasus horseshoe. I just wish I knew what I was. Then, as if the pegasus read his mind, the green sleepy eyes of the blue pony was once again gazing down directly in Shining’s direction. “Holy Mother of Luna, did he also get this customized with his cutie mark,” exclaimed the pegasus loudly directly at Shining. Wait, what am I? Shining shouted in his mind. Then, he saw his answer. Looking directly into the mirror before him, he saw the blue pegasus, in full armor, holding in his hooves, a limp, dangling, white... Author's Note What has Shining Armor become? //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Smaller Rubber //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Smaller Rubber “Condom!” Soarin screamed. “Seriously, this unicorn gets custom condoms made with his cutie mark, what the heck.” Soarin flicked the white rubber with his other hoof. Itwas transparent white and had the cutie mark printed directly on the center. “Does he carry these around all the time? Does he think this is the way to impress mares?” Soarin shook his head in a chuckle. He tossed the rubber back on the floor below him. Soarin, started to take off the armor. Then he stopped. “No, wait, fuck this officer, fuck all these brass brats. This is my one chance to feel the power of this uniform that should be mine. I am not letting it go. In fact…” Soarin reached down to grab the condom. “I think I deserve a little relief right about now. Shining was still panicking in his mind over the fact he turned himself into nothing more than a thin little piece of over, just then a large light blue hoof towered above Shining. It then picked him up, lifting him high off the floor, only a foot or two, but from Shining’s perspective it felt like stories. “No, put my down you plebe! This is an order, do it right now or you will be demoted.” Of course the pegasus didn’t take notice, in this form Shining had no vocal chords, no muscles, no facial features, nothing. All he could do is make himself victim to his massive pony. Shining groaned, he never felt weaker, in a more vulnerable position in his life. He helplessly hung down from the massive hoof, as nothing but a limp, thin piece of rubber. So fragile, that the very air currents of the room lifted his body. The pegasus brought Shining up to his face one more, hot air breathing out of his muzzle. Shining got a good look at the light blue face and brilliant green eyes once more. He never got a more high definition view of any other pony before, even if own wife. He would admit, he loved the slick back style of this pegasus’ hair a lot more than his wife’s mane, which was somewhat of an eyesore with its mismatch of colors. Shining’s vision was upside from his prospective, as a flimsy piece of rubber he swayed freely from the light blue hoof, making him a bit sick from the motion. “Hmmm, I wonder what ink they used to print this cutie mark,” the monstrously large pegasus said as he began to stretch the condom taunt, then relax, then taunt again. Shining was in a bit of pain from the stretching, despite his body being made for just that purpose now, the strength of the pegasus stretching his body was more than his mind could take, it felt like he would tear at any moment now getting a big headache in the process. Shining blacked out slightly with his mind losing consciousness each time he was stretched taut. This confusion, made him not realize that the pegasus was slowly bringing him up to his massive erect member. Soarin’s cock was throbbing now, heavy and moist with precum. He really wanted to release, being in the armor made him feel somewhat kinky, however releasing his seed on the carpet right now would be grounds for expulsion from the Wonderbolts. Magic testing would easily be able to test any semen he spilled, the only way to do a clean release was to use the condom. But, won’t the captain notice it was missing? Soarin quickly ignored that thought, a rich officer like this guy could probably has a lot in storage and would not notice one little condom gone missing. There was no time to find lube, so Soarin used his hoof to spread his precum across his erect dark blue cock, much darker than his normal coat color. Being in a barracks of mares, Soarin rarely had time for personal business, even in the showers, where he is normally given only a minute to scrub one out. No, this would be in fact his first time in weeks that he would be able to release. Weeks of pressure pent up, and at this stage there was no stopping it now. Without a second thought Soarin quickly stretched the opening of the condom around the tip of his cock and slid it down. He wasn’t sure it would fit, the condom was much smaller than he expected it to be, he was worried it would tear. His cock throbbed and pulsed as pressure of the rubber encased it, “Darn, it is too small for me. No matter, as long as it doesn’t break it will do.” Finally he was able to fit the entire condom on his cock. Not wanted to release right away he slowly stroked himself through the thin flimsy rubber. Soarin moaned and closed his eyes. Shining never experienced anal before, he wasn’t sure he was enjoying it, every part of his being was stretched around the massive cock throbbing moist with dribbles of precum. Shining closed his eyes and screamed, or he would have if he wasn’t a condom. This was not a feeling he ever expected. No unexpected, he never thought his first time receiving anal would be as a condom. Author's Note Yes, I went there.
