Silver-Chains

Fluttershy and Applejack lead the way, while I was behind being practically almost dragged by them. If I wasn't tired as I am, I would be keeping up with them better. "What else do we need for Silver?" Fluttershy commented looking to me and then back at her friend.

Applejack stopped to think for a moment to respond, but when she did it was in a suspicious demeanor. "Depends shy, do ya want him marked?"

Marked, what do you mean by marked?, I turned to Fluttershy hoping she could explain it to me somehow. Fluttershy held a look of disdain of what her friend had just said. "T-that wont be necessary Applejack I think just a collar will do, besides I know that would frighten him" she said peacefully. Yeah... like I'm not frightened by your current conversation already.

"Well then that should be all, you just need to visit Twilight. She said something about recently obtaining a new book of sorts about humans and she asked me to let you know to come visit her" Applejack informed us. A new book... this could help me learn about the humans of this world and could tell me how they came to be slaves or pets to ponies.

"O-oh okay, thank you for helping me find everything Applejack, I better go see Twilight now" Fluttershy said heading towards wherever Twilight's house was, with me slow-walking behind her. Now that I think of it wouldn't she have a castle instead of a house?, however there's no castle nearby except for the one on the mountain that I saw earlier. Yet, that's too far to just walk there in one day or by any other means of travel they could have. So where are we heading to?

"Good question" Light spoke causing me to jump a bit, luckily Fluttershy didn't take notice of it. Light where the hell have you been at? "Sorry about leaving you, I was quite drained of energy and I then became busy trying to reform your memories without causing any complications. So what have I missed?" he stated.

Well Fluttershy and Applejack took me on a trip for supplies that humans use or need to be exact, and now we're heading towards Twilight's castle. "I see... Well you should start to remember your past soon and.... Thomas I don't like the looks of that human" he said causing me to turn my head to the left more.

There's just a woman with their pony, I don't see what's wrong with..."Thomas look closer at her thigh" Her thigh its... The hell?, its been branded. "The branding is the same design as their pony's Thomas" That caused me to shiver realizing what I was watching.

Is this what they meant?"Thomas, what do you mean?" Applejack talked about with Fluttershy seeing if she wanted me marked, but I never thought they meant this. Thank god that she didn't want that for me. "Thomas this is most troubling for us" I know, why are we here?

"I was afraid you didn't hear me before we lost contact. Well there is no sugarcoating it... Thomas you are the last of the human race from Earth" The words hit me like a brick as he said it. What do you mean Light? "Thomas there was a problem you couldn't do anything about. A being of great power turned the world to ash, I was not able to save any of the innocent" How am I alive then and how do you explain these other humans? "I was able to save you only and as for these others I don't know. Perhaps they came here long before the Neanderthals died off, they are indeed intriguing"

Light I have one more question, if these are Neanderthals then why are they enslaved? From what I can tell ponies think their some dumb animal. Didn't Neanderthals have a basic level of sentient intelligence? "That is true, and I have come up with four possibilities on the subject so far"

Light's tone had changed for once it was more disgusted than the calm balanced tone he held the few times we talked. "One Neanderthals were transported here before their extinction and end up being slaves before they could show their intelligence, slowly becoming dumber after they were enslaved. Another possibility is that ponies at one time knew they were smart however over time they forgot the intelligence they might have" That's only two, what are the other two?

"The government of the ponies or a higher power are keeping it hidden from the public knowledge, or that one point in time our worlds connected and they cross into our world eventually becoming smarter as they learned from our world's early humans" Light what am I to do now if I'm the last of my kind? What is even the god damn use of fighting to continue living on?

"Thomas please, you're being irrational. You want a reason to continue, then look around you what do you see?" Turning my head, I watch carefully desperately trying to identify anything that could be an answer. "Really? look closer at the enslaved animals what they mean to you?" Animals, what do they mean to me? They're...they are... "Yes they are and what are they?"

I started to feel something deep inside me screaming out and crying, but I don't know what to say. I could feel myself stop walking and started clinching my fists as for the first time I start to feel anger boiling up and flowing out from inside me. They are the closest thing I have to real humans... The answer cried out of me silencing Light for a moment, before he chuckled with hope.

"Good you have some understanding of what I am thinking" What are you planning to do then?"Simple I wish to free our kin and bring them into an age of light not darkness. I cant do it alone that is why we need to work together to save them" How are we going to free them, if we cant communicate with anything let? "We cant save them now, however we will we just need to learn more about this world and then plan everything before we free our kin. Now I need to rest we will speak later today"

"Silver what is the matter?" Fluttershy questioned me. She was gently hovering meeting me face to face only a few inches apart. Upon seeing this surprised me and caused me to jump backwards falling onto my back, and because of the leash I accidently pulled her down on top of me. We stayed there for a moment looking at each other face to mask. From the color of her cheeks she was embarrassed, I too was a little embarrassed for falling onto the ground bringing her down with me.

She floated back into the air, while I pulled myself off from the ground. "Silver why did you stop boy, is there something wrong?" she inquired trying to ignore what had recently just happen. I did the only thing I could think of to show her I was fine. I pat her little head softly. She seemed to liked it because she giggled a little. "Okay Silver, lets hurry now. Twilight's house is just around the corner" she informed.

When we went around the corner, I swear my eyes widen and my jaw dropped. There right in front of me was a castle of crystal right near the heart of the town. Boy did Twilight have a house for a princess alright, which makes me wonder now if the bigger castle on the mountain is perhaps the King's.
