The Delivery

Celestia’s sun shined brightly over the little town of Pony-ville. It was at least nine o’ clock in the morning as most of the towns pony’s were waking up and going about their morning routines.

One pony in particular, Fluttershy was awake and inside of her log cabins living room looking after her pet rabbit, Angel. She was brushing his fur and puffy cotton tail while she hummed a happy tune to herself. While she was brushing her pet rabbits fur, a knock could be heard coming from the Pegasus's front door of her house.

“Just a moment.” Fluttershy called out as she finished brushing up Angel’s fur, needless to say he was not happy about this but shrugged and went hopping off to another part of the cabin, while Fluttershy trotted her way to her front door before asking through the door.

“Who is it? Can I help you?” She said silently but just loud enough to be heard on the opposite side of the door. The unknown pony on the other side then replied.

“Pony-ville Post miss, I have a package here for a miss Fluttershy”. The now known mail pony spoke.

With that Fluttershy proceeded to open up her door and sign her signature on a piece of paper attached to a clipboard, as the mail pony then handed Fluttershy what appeared to be a book wrapped in bright blue wrapping with a lime green bow on top of it. She then looked to the mail pony and asked with concern.

“Do you have any idea who sent this, there is no return address.” Fluttershy explained.

The mail pony shook his head “no ma’am thats the senders option if they want to put a return address on something, if they want to fine if not fine.”

Fluttershy nodded understanding the way the post system worked.

“Ok I understand, well thank you for the package and have a nice day.” Fluttershy told the mail pony with a smile.

“You have a good day as well miss.” The mail pony tipped his hat to Fluttershy before he walked off down the dirt road which lead to Fluttershy’s cottage and after he was gone Fluttershy closed the door.

Fluttershy then took her package and set it on her dinner table before unwrapping it and on the cover in gold letters was the word “Holy Bible”. The book also was bonded with black leather and looked to be very well put together. The pages edges were gold coated as well. Fluttershy tilted her head to the side not understanding what the bible was, she took a hold of the book and carried it into her living room before sitting down and opening it to the first chapter: “Genesis 1:1”. Fluttershy read aloud “In the beginning, God created the Heavens and The Earth.”

As Fluttershy finished reading the first book Genesis which took her about maybe one hour to read the whole thing as she used a bookmark to mark her place where she was last reading, the next chapter she would read at a later time would be the book of “Exodus”.

Fluttershy not really understanding what she had read puzzled her mind as she took the bible and set it inside of a saddle sack and put on the saddle sack on her back she walked out of her cabin making her way toward her friend Twilight’s maybe Twilight could figure out this strange book. Soon enough Fluttershy was at the front door of Twilight’s castle as she knocked with a hoof gently.

“Be right there!” Twilight from the other side of the door called out as a purple aura of magic engulfed the front door and it opened.

Twilight examines The Bible

Twilight could be seen as she grinned happily and gave her good friend Fluttershy a hug.

“Hi there Fluttershy what brings you by?” Twilight asked looking at Fluttershy’s saddle bag on her bag as Fluttershy walked by her inside of the castle.

“I got this strange book in the mail just about an hour ago, and I don’t know what to make of it Twilight.” Fluttershy said as she pulled the bible out of her saddle bag and handed it to Twilight.

Twilight examined the book looking it over before turning to Fluttershy after she had read a few pages from Genesis.

“Well Fluttershy this is quite a book, from what I can understand it’s not fiction but appears to be a Religious book of sorts.” Twilight explained after she had analyzed the pages she had read.

Both of the two ponies had a seat as Fluttershy made a gesture with her hoof as she spoke.

“The weird thing is Twilight, when I got it, it had no return address. So I have no idea who even sent it to me.” Fluttershy said as she sounded a little bit confused.

Twilight nodded in agreement. “Yes that is definitely weird, someone sends you a random book and you don’t even know who sent it.”

Twilight kept looking over the book before she turned the book towards Fluttershy showing her something she had just found out.

“Also Fluttershy this book has two sections, one called the Old Testament and another one called The New testament”. Twilight spoke as she turned the book to The New Testament and found the first book of the new testament, it was called Matthew.

Twilight and Fluttershy both settled down and began to read the book of Matthew from the beginning and as they read they found out about Jesus. His life, his works, and ultimately his death and resurrection and the cross. They also learned about the Godhead Triune [God the father, God the son, and God The Holy Spirit]. Soon they both finished the book of Matthew and even Twilight was surprised at what she had just read as Fluttershy’s previous bookmark was now moved to a new book within The New Testament, the book of John.

Twilight then pondered if even Princess Celestia had known about this as she called Spike into the room to take a letter to the princess.

“Dear Princess Celestia, myself and my friend Fluttershy have come across a book of which we have only just learned about, it is called The Bible. We thought that you may have more information regarding this book, and we would like to come visit you very soon to discuss this book and catch up and socialize.

Your faithful student and Princess Co-Ruler, Princess Twilight Sparkle.”

With that Spike proceeded to let out a fire breath with a green colored flame as the parcel disappeared and was on it’s way to Celestia. With that Twilight and Fluttershy prepared for a visit to the princess as they both made their way toward Ponyville’s train station and bought tickets and waited for the train to arrive. Soon it did arrive and they both boarded and the train then left the station as they both were in for quite a ride to Canterlot.

A visit to the Princess

As Twilight and Fluttershy both rode on the train on their way to Canterlot, Twilight looked to Fluttershy before asking her a few questions.

“So you really don’t know who sent you this book Fluttershy?” Twilight asked with a concerned look written on her face.

“No Twilight, had no return address like I said previously.” Fluttershy said and then thought. “Twilight what if this book is not even from our world?”

After having said that Twilight looked to Fluttershy and shrugged her shoulders “Could be.” Twilight said.

The train on it’s way to Canterlot then went into a dark tunnel and the only visible light that could be seen was the one from the train cars old fashioned fire lit lights. Fluttershy then reached back into her saddle bag, once again pulling out the bible and opening it to Acts. Twilight and Fluttershy read the chapter of the bible quietly as they gained even more knowledge about when Jesus went up into heaven and when his disciples were baptized with the Holy Spirit. Also upon further reading of the chapter both Twilight and Fluttershy looked at each other when they found a verse that said Christ died for their sins and He first loved them. Also they learned about the two greatest commandments that Jesus gave his disciples: love your neighbor as you love yourself and love the lord your God with all of your heart, mind, body, and soul.

The train after about four minutes of chugging along through the dark tunnel finally came out of it’s other side and the natural light of the sun was restored to the two mares train car. As the train made it’s way the city of Canterlot became visible as the train pulled into it’s designated stop and both Fluttershy and Twilight got off board, and proceeded to make their way toward Princess Celestia’s Castle as they looked around the town both of them not having been here in a while. They saw many shops, restaurants, and a lot of stuck up ponies who were no doubt very very wealthy.

Soon both of them walked through a beautiful pair of gates as they entered the castle’s garden and walked beside it admiring the flowers and the trees. Which Fluttershy enjoyed very much along with all of the animals and birds within the garden as both of them approached the large double door entrance into the castle guarded by two royal guards. As one of them looked to Twilight and bowed respectfully to the alicorn princess.

“Princess Twilight, welcome how can I help you and I see you brought along a close friend.” The guard pondered for a moment. “Fluttershy was it?” The guard pony asked as Fluttershy nodded in response to his question.

“Yes good sir, my name is Fluttershy.”

Fluttershy replied with a blush on her cheeks as the guard looked back at her with a blush of his own that was quite visible even with his head covered by his guards helmet.

With that the guard pony stood by and opened up the large door entrance to the castle as both Fluttershy and Twilight trotted their way in, seeing Princess Celestia herself upon her throne as Twilight gasped happily and ran up to her co-ruler and mentor hugging her tightly.

“Ohh Princess I have missed you, it is good to see you again!” Twilight said a very apparent happy tone in her voice.

“Ahh Twilight, I have missed you as well.” Both of them nuzzled each other affectionately before Celestia spoke up.

“I got your letter regarding a certain book your friend Fluttershy here has received.”

Celestia stated with a smile upon her muzzle.

Twilight nodded in reply, “Yes, Princess she received what seems to be some kind of religious book called The Bible and we were both curious if you knew anything about it, or where it came from.”

Fluttershy then retrieved the book from her saddle bag with her muzzle, as she handed it to the Princess then Celestia took it in her aura of magic and opened to a random page in the book and began to read a few passages of scripture as Celestia’s eyes widened in surprise a bit, she had never seen this book before and she had no idea who sent it to Fluttershy. Or where it came from for that matter.

Celestia then turned the page to read the next one, and it seemed to be that she was reading the book of Isiah as she then closed the book and levitated it in her magic back over to Fluttershy.

“Well it is a very interesting book but I have no idea where it came from, but while your here we might as well have a small lunch together,Just follow me.”

Celestia said as she walked alongside Fluttershy and Twilight heading towards a nice quite small dining area preserved for special guests of the two Princesses.
She then gestured a hoof to one of the royal guards, not the same one the two ponies saw on their way in as he walked up to her and bowed respectfully. “Yes Princess? He asked.

Would you please get myself and my friends here some lunch meat sandwiches with mayonnaise and lettuce?

He nodded before bumping a hoof on his armor and bowed once again “My pleasure your Majesty.” With that the royal guard pony headed toward the kitchen was close to the room, the three ponies were in. No doubt to let the Princess’s chef know what to prepare for the visiting two.

As the three ponies: Celestia, Twilight, and Fluttershy waited for their sandwiches Twilight sparked up a conversation with her former mentor and now co-ruler.

“So princess I was surprised as well when I first read that book, the more I study it and learn about it. I can tell it’s definitely not a work of fiction as far as I can tell, and the old testaments story is quite bizarre.” Twilight said in which Celestia nodded in agreement.

“Yes it is definitely strange, a creature called a human or whatever that is willingly having himself nailed to a wooden cross to sacrifice himself for our sins, then he just rises from the dead three days later... Bizarre yes twilight but definitely a brain turner, makes you really think.”

About two minutes later the royal guard pony returned with their sandwiches which he placed on the table before the ponies and bowed leaving them to their lunch as all three of them happily enjoyed the fresh sandwiches, as they just shot small talk about The Bible and various other things going on in Equestria and especially Canter-lot.

Soon the three had finished their sandwiches and Twilight and Fluttershy both gave the Princess a hug as they got up and exited the room they were in and walked back into the throne room as each of them exchanged their good-byes and farewells with the Princess as both Twilight and Fluttershy made their way back to the train station to head home.

The special Guest and journey home.

As the two ponies rode the train back home, they made small talk about having just visited the princess as once more the train they came to. Canterlot on went back through the previous dark tunnel as the train cars lights kicked on when the train-cab was filled with darkness.

Fluttershy still had the bible inside of her saddle bag as she let out a yawn stretching out her fore-hooves before turning to Twilight.

“As soon as I’m getting home Twilight I am laying down and relaxing”.

Said Fluttershy in a somewhat tired tone of voice as she held back a yawn but failed.

Twilight nodded in agreement as she herself was quite wore-out as well from their trip. Despite it being about twelve in the afternoon. The two mares continued to ride on the train as it chugged along it’s track both in silence but sitting across from one another. After about two minutes of being in the dark tunnel the train finally emerged from it and the lamps inside of the trains car turned off and once again the train was illuminated by the sun.

Fluttershy out of curiosity pulled The Bible back out from her saddle bag as she opened to where they had left off with Princess Celestia in the book of Acts. She continued to read until the train finally arrived back into the town of Ponyville’s station as the two of them both got off of the train and gave each other a hug and exchanging farewells as Twilight headed back to her castle and Fluttershy to her cottage.

Fluttershy continued to trot through the town’s center waving to any pony she knew with a friendly smile, in a good mood but well determined to get back to her cottage to take care of the animals she kept.

Shortly after walking through town she reached a dirt road leading to her cabin as Fluttershy trotted happily, but tiredly up to her cabins front door and pushed it open with a hoof, as she gasped by the next sight that she saw, a human! This human in particular was wearing a long white robe with a purple sash belt around his waist as he looked to her with the most beautiful eyes and long brown hair with a full beard and also friendly smile before he spoke.

“Hello Fluttershy”. The man spoke as Fluttershy was just at a loss for words as she slowly closed her cabins door behind her while trotting up to the strange human.

“Who are you and how did you get into my cabin?”

Fluttershy asked with a hint of worry in her voice, after all this strange man just made his way into her home without permission and while she was not home no less.

“I am who I am” The man simply responded as Fluttershy thought to herself she had read that before, then it dawned on her... This was Jesus!

“Are you by any chance... Jesus?” Fluttershy asked, as he then nodded in reply and she held a hoof to her muzzle in surprise and disbelief.

Jesus smiled and ushered for Fluttershy to come have a seat beside him which she did.

“Yes Fluttershy I am Jesus of The Bible, I am the one who sent you that book you received.” Jesus stated as Fluttershy then retrieved the book and set it in front of him.

“You mean to tell me all that happened in this book really happened?”
Fluttershy asked Jesus still a bit shocked to actually see Him for real.

Jesus once again nodded in reply before wrapping an arm around her and pulling her in close gently for a hug.

“Yes dear Fluttershy, and I wanted to visit you personally to re-assure you that I am real, and I paid the ultimate price for your sins.”

Jesus stated before showing the pony his nail-scarred hands, a visible hole in both palms of his hands.

Fluttershy gasped as she could not believe what she was seeing, but it was real.

Jesus then looked at Fluttershy with a smile still hugging her close.

“Fluttershy I know you read The Bible and I know you wish to be saved. Something in your soul has been searching for a relief and thats why I’m here and I want you to believe in me, and spread my word The Gospel throughout Ponyville here in this universe.” Jesus said still looking at the timid and shy pony.

Jesus then spoke up again, “Do you believe that I am the son of the living God?”.

Fluttershy nodded and spoke “Yes I do.”

“Do you forgive anyone who has done you wrong or hurt you in any way?” Jesus asked and Fluttershy nodded and replied.

“Yes.”

Jesus then asked another question, “Do you believe that I was nailed to the cross to die for your sins and that I rose again from the dead three days later?”

Jesus asked looking at Fluttershy.

“Yes Jesus I believe that.” Fluttershy smiled as she told the Lord her reply.
Jesus then hugged the pony close and gave her a kiss on her cheek.

“As of this day Fluttershy your name has been written in the lambs book of life, and you now have eternal life.”

Jesus said with a smile before he stood up. Fluttershy then asked him.

“Eternal life?” Fluttershy questioned him.

“I mean that you have life and die here dear Fluttershy, but your soul will forever live on with me when someday you enter into Heaven.” Jesus stated.

With that Jesus hugged Fluttershy again.

“I must go now dear Fluttershy, but always know that I am watching over you and you can talk to me anytime you wish in prayer. Spread the word that I have given you all across Equestria and in Ponyville.” Jesus proclaimed.

With that Jesus was surrounded by a bright white light and then a flash of the light and he was gone. It became clear to Fluttershy why she received that book, to become possibly the first Christian pony and to spread the word of God wherever she went with his blessing.

She looked around to see where Jesus had gone off to as she was a tad bit sad but remembered his words and what he said as remained where she was and grabbed The Bible and began reading, somehow she could tell he was still there even though he had gone. Now it was clear to her what she had to do, spread the word of God and the story of Jesus Christ, now her Saviour.
