A mother's love for her children is absolute. If they are taken, her rage is terrifying. But when they abandon her, her grief will taint even the simplest source of happiness.
Chrysalis is alone. Her home is lost to her. Her children are lost to her. Bested again by another princess' pupil she flees. But how far can one fly before their wings fail? How far can one run before their legs give out?
Eventually, she must stop. And inevitably, thoughts will turn from fear and flight to loss and despair.
