When Steel Ranger Scribe Quillwright and her unit are attacked while on a Stable-delving mission and she is left for dead, she finds herself stranded in a toxic, flooded, and decaying wasteland: the Mulisiana Territory.

Crippled, underequipped, and hundreds of miles from home, she must forge a northward path through treacherous swamps, radioactive monstrosities, wild tribals, and mechanical ponies alike.

Meanwhile, from the Equestrian Institute of Technology's ruins rises a shadow of the Old World; one that seeks to not only transform Equus, but redefine ponykind itself.
