//-------------------------------------------------------// The Solar Script -by Gattlin- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Sunburn //-------------------------------------------------------// Sunburn Canterlot castle is on full lock-down, nopony can enter and nopony can leave. Guards were busy searching each and every corner for the intruder....except for the library where the intruder had been for the last hour. Gattlin is 15 years old and seems to have a knack for breaking and enter places, those places are either his house or Canterlot but he is not a thief. However this night would be an exception as Gattlin would be stealing something that was to be kept hidden forever. The object at hand was a book called "The Solar Manuscript" a magical book that could grant any non-unicorn/alicorn the ability of using magic, this magic is achieved by using the sun's energy and your arcane symbol. This magic is to not be shared with anypony.....except the one is taking it. "Come on come on come on! Where is it? I've been searching for almost 2 hours now" Gattlin was starting to hurry it up as he knew some guard was bound to find him. "Hmmmmm, If I was a magic book...where would I be?" Gattlin stopped walking and started to become angry "DANG IT! why does every time I need something it's always gone until I forget about it....he, maybe if I forget about I can find the book stuck to my hoof or something" Gattlin searched for secret doors, hidden rooms, ANYTHING that could help him find the book. He was about to run out before his hoof got stuck on something under the carpet. Gattlin quickly moved it up to see a chain-locked trap door. "THERE THEY ARE, IN THE LIBRARY" A castle guard shouted. Gattlin had no option but to yank the chain off the 2 nails and break the door. "STOP!" The guard was now in the same section as Gattlin, except all he saw were peaces of wood and knocked over stacks of books. "Where did they go?" Another guard ask, Gattlin was preying that they didn't set a hoof on the covered gap that he was hiding under. Sadly this was the case as one guard stepped over on the gap only to collapse in. "DANG IT!" Gattlin shouted, alarming the guards as the threw the carpet aside. Gattlin darted down the stairs. There was not enough space to fly down. As Gattlin ran down he slammed into a wooden door. Without hesitation he opened the door and slammed it behind him and blocking it with his bag (which didn't do much) The room was dark, in the center was a locked glass case with a book resting in it. The book was not big but infact the size of any average novel. The book was copper brown with yellow corners and an image of a sun made from some kind of arcane symbol. "W-well I guess I found it" Gattlin went up to the case, and tried to open it but to no avail. "Why am I not surprised" Gattlin said in an annoyed tone. "I gotta do something, the guards are gonna be here any second" Without thinking, Gattlin grabbed a stool and smashed the glass. The noise seemed to echo loudly, this sent the guards upstairs into a panic as they now knew what Gattlin was trying to do. This got them to spead up as they all attempted to get down to the door. The guards panic did not slow Gattlin down in the least as he managed to pull the book out and opened it to the first page. It was almost like the book hypnotized him. "The Solar manuscript" Gattlin said in a calm and chilling voice. His legs were shaking as he carefully read the first passage in the dark of the room. It stated the power of the magic, who could use the magic, and the many warnings of using this kind of magic. The writing was starting to go into more spiritual and somewhat creepy tone. The more Gattlin read, the more he was sucked in. "In order to unlock the power of arcane solar magic you must first draw your base" The passage also showed a picture of a circle with a diamond in it. Gattlin moved around the dark room and found a peace of chalk on the floor. Gattlin went and began drawing the basic symbol. Once the basic arcane symbol was formed, all Gattlin had to do was stand in it and recite the following incantation of manifestation. "sing huena tenamalo mrith ve sia vers svern wux grows stronger sjerit ga-" Gattlin was cut off as the guards burst in. They looked at the now glowing circle, but before anything else could continue the guards quickly grabbed him and pulled him out. When this happened the circle burst into a bright flash that stunned Gattlin, leaving him knocked out. The guards "Jeez, that was....freaky" A guard said as he went over to Gattlin "So what now" They were now carrying Gattlin out of the dark room, leaving behind the blank circle and Gattlin's bag.
