Bedtime Story for Sugarmint
" Mom, can you read me a book? I want a bedtime story."
"How about I make up a story for you? I have an idea.You'll love it."
"Are you sure mom?"
"Positive.Now listen."
she laid her head down and looked at me happily as I sat down and shifted my wings. I got comfortable, and thought for a moment. The words began to leave my mouth, forming smooth, even words.
" Not too long ago, but far away, There was a pony Named Harmony Charmer. She was a Pretty mare, and she always had stallions after her. She had all the bits she wanted. Everypony wanted her, or to be her.
Except one mare, Mist Chaser.She was a hard-working mare, very poor, yet she was happy with what she had. She had her dog,her family, and her heart.
Harmony was strolling through town with her elegant dress, like usual, while Mist Chaser was working to loosen the dirt for planting season. She was covered in mud, and her mane was a mess, but she was still a beautiful mare overall. Harmony walked by elegantly, making a snide remark to her as her troop of stallions kept her from the mud. "
Sugarmint Interrupted the story by saying, "Mom, this is the BEST STORY EVER! what happens next?"
"Sugar, if you want to know, let me continue!" I laughed a little as I finished the story.
" Mist stared at the group until they had crossed the horizon, then a few tears ran down her face. she didn't understand...everypony had always liked her.. even Rarity, the diva of Ponyville. Tear after tear streaked down to her chin, and fell to the ground. "
I noticed she had closed her eyes and was now asleep. "Tomorrow, I'm going to continue this. I have to..It's just..good." I turned the switch off and headed to my room.
