Twilight looked at the swarm of rabbits currently infesting Ponyville. Fluttershy was doing her best to try and round them up, but wasn't having much luck.
Sighing, Twilight called out to Fluttershy, "Sorry Fluttershy, looks like we need some professional help with this!"
Flutershy had an apologetic look on her face, "I'm sorry Twilight, normally this would be easy, but they're still too keyed up for me to do anything."
"I'm sure you tried your best, but as I was trying to tell Applejack earlier, there's a point where you need help," Twilight said as she teleported a black book to herself and started flipping through it.
"What's that?" asked Fluttershy.
"Just a little something Princess Celestia gave me when I decided to live here, it has a bunch of numbers for various services that she herself uses."
"Really?"
"Yep, now let's see... Van Dorn Detective Agency... International Rescue... Sugarcube Corner, don't need to call for them... ah here we go, Anti Pesto Humane Pest Control."
"Are you sure they won't hurt the bunnies?" Fluttershy asked worriedly.
"Don't think so, Celestia left some notes, live capture only, specializes in rabbits and similar creatures, sounds perfect."
"Well, if the Princess thinks they're alright, I guess we could give them a try."
"Alright then," Twilight said as she summoned a cordless phone and dialed the number.
After ringing for a few seconds, the other end picked up, "Anti Pesto Humane Pest Control, how might we be of assistance?"
"Oh good, this is Twilight Sparkle, we have a bit of a rabbit problem here and my teacher said you could help."
"Twilight... oh! You must be that lass Princess Celestia was taking care of. Funny, I thought that business up in Canterlot was a freak incident."
"Actually, I'm calling from Ponyville. Our local animal caretaker was trying to do a bunny census and there was a... bit of a comunication error with her assistant, caused them to stampede. Can you help?"
"Right-o, just sit tight, and we'll be with you as soon as we can," said the voice before it hung up.
"Wonder how long they'll be?" Twilight wondered aloud before they heard a rumble.
Turning to look, they saw a large blue vehicle speed over a hill before coming to a stop beside them. The doors opened out out stepped a strange being in a blue jumpsuit and cap. "Pleasure to meet you lass, I'm Wallace."
"Err... pleased to meet you," Twilight said.
"Now where are the... oh," Wallace said as he saw all the rabbits, "haven't seen this many since that business with Lady Tottingham, eh lad?"
A white dog with an identical cap leaned out of the driver side door and nodded, before jumping back as Fluttershy jumped in his face.
"Aren't you a cute doggy, what's your name?"
"That's Grommet," said Wallace, "now if you don't mind, we need to get to work."
"Oh, sorry," said Fluttershy, "you won't hurt the bunnies, will you."
"Don't you worry lass, humane pest control is our specialty," said Wallace before turning to Grommet, "alright lad, fire up the ol' BV6000!"
Grommet nodded before pressing a button on the dashboard, causing the back of the truck to unfold into a massive glass contraption that had a large metal tube at the top and a control seat. As Grommet climbed into the seat, Wallace replaced the nozzle on the end of the pipe with a large flexible hose with a handle on the end. Once he had a firm grip, he nodded to Grommet, who turned on the machine. After a few seconds, the hose started sucking massive amounts of air. Wallace then aimed it at the bunnies, who were sucked into the machine, and suspended in mid-air.
Twilight gaped, "What is that thing?"
"The old BunVac 6000. Capable of 725 RPM, that's Rabbits Per Minute," answered Wallace.
In no time at all, all the visible bunnies were sucked into the machine. With that done, Grommet turned off the machine before he and Wallace went to grab the last remaining bunnies who had managed to hide from the suction as Fluttershy checked on the ones already captured, pleased to see that not a single one was harmed. In fact, a few wanted to do it again.
Once the last of the rabbits were wrangled up, Wallace turned to Twilight, "Right-o, where you want us to put them?"
"Oh, Fluttershy can show you," Twilight said, causing Fluttershy to meep before nodding and leading them towards her cottage. Once they arrived, Grommit put the machine in reverse as Wallace aimed the nozzle towards the pen, launching them safely within.
"Incredible," said Twilight, "I can see why the Princess recommended you. If you don't mind me asking, how did you first meet her?"
"That is a bit of a tale. Well you see, I'm inventing mostly, and during my first test of my Tele-Jumper, I accidentally opened a portal to Canterlot, during the middle of a Parasprite infestation."
"What's a Parasprite?" asked Fluttershy.
"Nasty little buggers, almost made off with my cheese they did," Wallace grimaced, "anyway, turns out the BV6000 is just as good as sucking up Parasprites as it is at rabbits. Managed to take care of all of the Parasprites in my house, and even accidentally sucked up the ones on the other side of the portal. That's when Celestia turned up. She thanked me for taking care of the problem, and even paid me for the trouble. Talking of which, you should be getting your bill in about a week."
"You're worth every Bit," said Twilight.
"Well, tara then," Wallace said as he and Grommet got in the truck, "say hello to Celestia for me would ya lass?"
"Sure thing," said Twilight as they drove off.
