Origins of the Dazzlings
Birth of a new threat
Load Full StoryIt was a quiet morning in a small village in the north eastern region of Equestria. The moon slowly descended from the sky, while the sun slowly descended into where the moon was a few short minutes ago. The village was very peaceful in the morning as birds and crickets began to chirp, while the villagers themselves slowly started to wake to begin another peaceful, uneventful day. Except unbeknownst to the village a trio of ponies were raiding their granary via a secret entrance on the back of the building. A cloaked pony wearing saddlebags full of stolen bread quietly exited out of the secret entrance.
The pony got out of the secret entrance of the granary and began looking around to make sure there was nopony in the immediate area.
"Okay come on it's clear," the Cloaked Pony whispered into the opening.
A second pony wearing a cloak and saddlebags full of bread crawled out of the secret entrance and looked back into it.
"Hurry up the sun is rising," said the Second Cloaked Pony speaking to another pony crawling out of the granary.
"I'm coming!" said a third Cloaked Pony as she got out of the granary.
"Will you be quiet! Remember what almost happened last time we were noisy doing this? Now let's go before somepony sees us," whispered the First Cloaked Pony as she peeked around a corner.
"Okay let's go," said the Second Cloaked Pony as she covered the secret entrance to the granary. The three proceeded to sneak out of the village and into the woods surrounding the settlement as the sun rose high into the sky.
"I'm still a little sleepy," said the Third Cloaked Pony as the three walked through the woods that surrounded the village.
"Sonata I told you we'll finish sleeping when we get some food in our stomachs," said the First Cloaked Pony as she walked through the woods.
"I know Adagio. But could you have at least let me finish sleeping?" said Sonata as she shook her head a little.
"You know why all three of us have to go. So we have enough food for us to not do another raid," said Adagio as she looked at Sonata.
The three walked through the woods and arrived at a rock wall, which had a cave hidden behind some moss and a few large boulders that left an opening small enough to miss at first glance, but big enough for a full grown mare to squeeze through. The three entered their small hideout and removed their cloaks and began to feast on what was their breakfast.
"Alright let's eat," said Adagio while emptying her saddlebag loaded with food more specifically bread.
"I'm so hungry," said Sonata as she looked at the bread.
"Here," said Adagio as she began to split a loaf of bread she had taken.
"I'm getting tired of living like this. How much longer are we gonna have to live in a cave like barbarians?" said Aria as she looked at the two sitting near her.
"For the hundredth time I told you I don't know. Until something happens to us that changes our lives we're stuck like this!" said Adagio through her teeth having repeated the same sentence she has already said several times.
For many years this was the life of the three ponies. Forced to survive off whatever food and shelter they could grasp onto. However it wasn't always like this many years ago their lives were completely different, that is until tragedy struck. Forcing them into this lifestyle for many, many years. But late one night their lives would once again forever change.
"Girls wake up!" shouted Sonata shaking the two awake.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't smack you for ruining my beauty sleep," said an irritated Adagio as she woke up.
"Listen. Do you hear that?" said Sonata as she held her hoof against her ear.
"Hear what?" Aria asked in an irritated voice as she looked at Sonata.
"Listen," said Sonata listening to the noise that the other two started to hear as well.
"I hear it too," said Adagio as she began hearing the noise Sonata spoke of.
"What is that?" said Aria as she listened to the noise.
The three kept quiet and listened to the noise, which sounded like singing.
"Is that singing?" said Adagio as she listened to what sounded like singing.
"Sounds like it. Who'd practice singing in an area like this at this time of night? In fact who's doing that? None of the villagers have an interest in singing," said Aria as she looked outside.
"I don't know but it'll probably stop I'm going back to sleep," said Adagio deciding to wait out the singing assuming it would stop eventually.
Almost an hour went by and the singing didn't stop, at this point Adagio had finally had enough of it.
"Alright that's it!" shouted Adagio as she got up.
"Get up you two! We're going to find out where that noise is coming from!" said Adagio as she got Sonata and Aria up on their legs.
The three ponies exited the cave and began to travel in the direction of the singing. Which led them deep into the woods and into an area they hadn't been to before.
"How are we hearing this?" said a confused Sonata as the three travelled further and further through the woods.
"I don't know," said an equally confused Adagio.
The three travelled through the woods for miles guided by nothing other than the singing that was luring them far into the woods and to a cliffside cave.
"It sounds like it's coming from in here," said Adagio as she looked into the cave.
"Let's get this over with. This place is giving me the creeps," said Aria as she entered the cave.
The three traveled through the cave which led underground, there were a few split paths along the way but they paid attention who which path the singing was loudest from. They travelled deep underground and the deeper they went the louder the singing was.
"It's getting louder," said Sonata as the singing grew louder.
"Thanks captain," said Aria as she looked at Sonata. However before she could finish speaking the three suddenly fell through the cave floor.
The three fell for a short distance and landed in an underground lake, albeit in the shallow edge.
"Ow," said Adagio as she stood up in the shallow water which was really reflective. Her attention was then turned to Sonata.
"What are those?" said Sonata as she pointed to a set of three giant statues on a small island in the center of the underground lake, all three of the three statues were in the shape of a creature they'd never seen before. They each had a bright red glow coming from them and the position they were in looked as if they were reaching towards the three at the edge of the lake. As for the singing it seemed to be coming in the direction of the statues.
"Let's go see," said a curious Adagio as the three began to make their way to the center of the lake.
The three swam to the small island in the center of the lake with the three statues, upon stepping on the dry land the three glowing lights immediately vanished revealing a red gem that was hidden within each of the three lights. And the singing had at long last stopped.
"Are those jewels?" said Aria as she looked at three red jewels on the statues.
"Yes. And I feel like taking them," said Sonata as she reached for the jewels. Only to be pushed back by Adagio.
"Let me go first," said Adagio who then slowly walked to the jewels.
She reached her upper right hoof towards the jewel in the center statue, she grabbed it and slowly pulled it away from the statue. Yet nothing happened.
"Hmm. I was expecting," said Adagio as she held the jewel having expected something to happen.
Then suddenly her body was engulfed by some kind of red energy that made her body glow in a bright red color. Her two friends watched as their friend was engulfed in a red light for several seconds before it disappeared.
"Wow," said Sonata as she looked at Adagio with much amazement on her face.
"What?" Adagio asked in confusion.
"Look at yourself," said Aria pointing to the water.
Adagio walked to the water and saw that she looked completely different. She was far more attractive than she was a few minutes ago.
"Wow, did this jewel do this to me?" said a surprised Adagio as she checked her new body out in the water.
"I want one!" shouted Sonata as she turned to the remaining two jewels.
Sonata and Aria ran up to the jewels and took one. They were then engulfed in the same energy Adagio was coated in which ran through their bodies as they were changed by the jewels.
After the red lights vanished they ran to the water to see what had changed.
"I look good," said Aria as she gazed at her newfound attractiveness in the water.
"I feel the strong urge to sing," said Sonata as she looked at the red jewel she had in her hoof.
She then sang a note. Upon doing so her voice sounded completely different, in fact when she sang the three felt magic through their jewels.
"Wow. I think these jewels did more than just give us new voices and looks," said Adagio as she looked at her jewel.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" said Aria as she looked at the other two with a smile on her face.
"If it has something to do with using our new voices on the townsfolk then yes. Come on girls let's go give those ponies a performance they won't forget," said Adagio as she looked at Aria and Sonata.
A couple months passed since the three found their jewels. During most of that time they limited themselves to using their newfound power on towns and villages. They even took a week off to learn all they could about their jewels, which they had turned into necklaces. Thanks to that time they learned a few things about their newfound power. One of which was that they had been granted a form of immortality in which they will forever stay young and never age a second after finding their jewels. As long they do not lose their jewels in any way, shape, or form their aging process will forever be frozen, nor will they ever lose their newfound singing abilities. As for their newfound attractiveness, if they lost their jewels for whatever reason they'd still get to keep their new looks as it was granted to them by the magic of the jewels. Time went by and the number of towns and villages across Equestria dwindled. They decided to take bigger risks and start causing chaos in cities.
"Well that went well," said Aria as the three walked away from a city they had just finished causing chaos in over the past few days.
"I've said this before and I'll say it again. I am so glad we found these gems," said Adagio as she looked at her necklace.
"So where will we go next?" said Sonata wondering what city they'd go to next.
"I already know what our next target will be," said Adagio thinking of a plan she had been saving for awhile.
"And that would be?" Aria asked as she looked at Adagio.
"Canterlot," said Adagio informing the other two of their next target. Much to their surprise.
"As in the Canterlot? The capital city of Equestria where the alicorn sisters live?" said Sonata as she looked at Adagio with much surprise.
"Yes. I've been planning this for weeks. And now would be a great time to set it off," said Adagio as she looked on in the distance in the direction where Canterlot was.
"You mean take our special magic to the heart of the kingdom, where the two sisters live and take a colossal risk in getting caught and face a high chance of banishment or worse? Oh yes count me in," said Aria ready to take a major risk that would cost them dearly.
"Then it's settled. Let's go," said Adagio as she began the long trek to Canterlot.
"What about the sisters?" Sonata asked as she looked at Adagio.
"Don't worry about them I heard that they've just been summoned away to a distant kingdom, they won't back till the end of the week. Though they left the chancellor in charge. But he's practically harmless we'll be fine," said Adagio speaking of some news she heard of in the city.
"Oh. Okay," said Sonata as she turned her head forward and continued to travel to Canterlot.
"This is amazing," said Sonata as the three arrived in Canterlot.
"Ah the capital of Equestria it's just as charming as I thought it would be," said Adagio as she looked around.
"Now where can we find a large crowd for us to sing to?" said Aria as she looked around.
"The Coltosseum of course," said Adagio as she pointed in the direction of the Coltosseum.
"Why there?" said Sonata as she looked at Adagio.
"Because of the musical competition that happens at this time of year. Almost half of the city is gonna there we'd be taking over this city in a day if we don't waste any time. That and the winner of that always gets to perform the royal sisters," said Adagio informing the two of the events at the Coltosseum.
"We'd be able to take control of their minds. And imagine what we'd be able to do if we pull that off," said Aria thinking of the rewards they'd get if they were to succeed in taking over the minds of the two sisters.
"But wouldn't we get caught? I know we've taken some risks before but this," said Sonata who was then interrupted by Adagio.
"If. If we're caught. You let me worry about that," said Adagio as she looked at Sonata.
"But," said Sonata before being silenced again by Adagio.
"I said you let me worry about that. I'll think of a way to take control of their minds without them catching us in the act. Besides my plans have always worked out didn't they? That's why I'm the leader of this group. Considering that your lackluster leadership and planning skills nearly exposed us for what we truly are!" said Adagio as she slowly turned her head to Aria.
"It's not my fault Sonata wouldn't do what I asked her to do," said Aria blaming Sonata for ruining her plan that make a long story short. Almost exposed the abilities of the three to an entire city.
"Hey you're the one who!" said Sonata loudly enough for Adagio to stuff her hoof into Sonata's mouth.
"Shut up both of you!" whispered Adagio as she looked at the two with glaring eyes.
"Let's go to the stadium already," said Adagio as she led the two to the stadium.
The three arrived at the Coltosseum which had a lengthily line of musicians lined up outside of it.
"And look at that there's a line," said Sonata looking at the line.
"I am not gonna wait that long for us perform," said Aria while walking towards the line.
"It's such a shame that some of these ponies have to wait a long time before they get to play. Which would've included us, if not for a little special something we have for us to be next," said Adagio as she looked at the musicians with a wicked smile on her face.
"Hmm?" thought a robed gray unicorn with a large white beard sitting in the crowd in the Coltosseum. Having sensed some strange magic outside the stadium. He then used a spell to amplify his hearing enough to hear singing which unsettled him.
"I should probably deafen myself," whispered the gray unicorn to himself as he cast a spell on his ears to deafen him.
He then watched as the current group of musicians performing finished up their music and left the stage. Three female earth ponies then took the stage. While the gray unicorn watched as one of the judges spoke to them. Even though he couldn't hear the words that were being said. He focused solely on the three mares that were next.
"And what is your group name?" asked one of The Three Judges as he looked at the three mares.
"We are known as The Dazzlings. That name comes from the fact that our amazing voices have dazzled many who hear our wonderful singing. Which I can assure you will be some of the finest you'll ever hear," said Adagio in response.
"Very well then, proceed with your performance," said The Second Judge as she looked at the three.
"Ready?" whispered Adagio as she looked at the two beside her, who nodded in agreement.
The mares began to sing to the entire crowd, whom the singing abilities of the three began to take over the minds of those who heard the singing.
However one gray unicorn didn't succumb to the magic of the ponies. As the three continued their singing the gray unicorn quietly left the Coltosseum. In fact he recognized the way the magic was being used.
"That magic. Where have I seen it before?" muttered Star Swirl as he snuck out of the Coltosseum as quickly as he could. Before heading off to his lab.
"Where have I seen that magic before?" said Star Swirl to himself as he looked through every book on a shelf that contained books regarding legendary creatures of Equestria. He knew he had seen something in one of the books regarding the magic the three ponies had used, except he hadn't looked at it in years but he knew he still had it.
Star Swirl spent the next several minutes searching through every page of every book he had on the shelf until he found what he was looking for.
"Just as I feared. They're the three lost sirens of Equestria," Star Swirl said to himself as he began to read the book.
Hundreds of years ago three giant sea ponies emerged from the western ocean of Equestria. These creatures were known as sirens, they were considered very beautiful yet just as dangerous. Their origins are unknown, however one thing that is known is that they have the ability to sing which can charm those who fall victim to cause negativity and mistrust between other victims which in turn fueled their ability. Which can also control the minds of others. The more negativity they consumed the more powerful their voices became. However one day they mysteriously vanished without a trace. The reason for this is unknown as it was lost to unrecorded history. It is however believed they may return one day and if that were to pass they would most likely cause chaos across the land once again.
"But why have they returned?" thought Star Swirl thinking that it was odd that the sirens just decided to return after missing for years.
"Whatever the case may be for their return. They must be stopped I must inform the chancellor," said Star Swirl before he set off for the castle.
Star Swirl arrived at Canterlot castle however upon arriving he was too late.
"No," said Star Swirl to himself upon feeling the magic of the sirens seeping from the castle.
He then noticed the three ponies from the stadium exiting the castle and immediately dove into some nearby shrubbery.
"Well that was fun," said Aria as the three walked out of the castle.
"Agreed, now that the chancellor and the guards are out of the picture we won't have to worry about them bothering us. And once we finish up taking the minds of the rest of the populace in this city. We're pretty much done here," said Adagio as she walked away from the castle.
"Can I get something to eat now?" said Sonata wanting food.
"Fine go," said Adagio sending Sonata away.
"So how long until we start getting requests for our performances?" said Aria as she walked with Adagio.
"The judges said they're sending out messages to their friends in other cities about our amazing performance. With that we'll be getting requests for our performances in those cities. The soonest they'd start arriving would be first thing tomorrow morning until then let's finish spreading our magic across this city," said Adagio as the two walked away from the castle.
Star Swirl quietly got out of his hiding place and followed Sonata.
He followed Sonata who went to the market. She then used her voice to get a ton of food that she ate up until she fell sleep on a full stomach.
Star Swirl approached Sonata and looked at her pendant. He knew very well that unless he takes the risk he's about to take to learn as much as he can about the pendants and the three he's up against he wouldn't be able to do too much against them.
"Let's see if I can learn more about this gem," said Star Swirl as he prepared to use a spell to engulf himself and Sonata in a field of magic. Which enables the user to learn about a specific thing they are trying to learn about.
Star Swirl had a feeling that his time was most likely limited so he simply looked for the answers he absolutely needed. He succeeded in gaining just enough knowledge of how to rid Equestria of the sirens. However after finding the answers he was looking for he came across a couple new questions that puzzled him. He then took a glance at Sonata and peeked into her memories and what he saw caught him by surprise.
"Oh my," said Star Swirl as he looked at Sonata's memories. Who then began to wake up.
"Uh, what?" said Sonata upon waking up having felt the magic.
Star Swirl immediately broke out of the spell and fled.
"What was that?" said Sonata as she looked around having been woken up by her necklace.
"So none of you are the sirens. You simply found the jewels of the sirens," said Star Swirl as he continued to run from Sonata's location.
"Now that I know how to break your grasp on Equestria. I just need to send you three away but how?" said Star Swirl as he arrived at the edge to the city.
He then began walking around in circles as he thought of a plan. Several minutes went by and he thought of a plan that should work, however he'd some assistance from other ponies to do so. Unless he thought of something else.
"Hmm?" thought Star Swirl upon noticing a group of merchants who were just entering the city. All five of whom consisted of a yellow unicorn, brown pegasus, a white earth pony, a silver pegasus and an orange unicorn.
"Those merchants come by at sundown. They will have to do," said Star Swirl recognizing the merchants who arrive at Canterlot at sundown. Having seen them arrive a few times before.
He then went to the merchants just as they entered the city, all of whom were baffled by all the ponies arguing.
"What's going on here?" said the Silver Pegasus as she looked at a bunch ponies arguing.
The five then noticed Star Swirl approaching them and spoke to him.
"Excuse me. Do you know what's going on?" said the Brown Pegasus speaking to Star Swirl.
"I will explain but not here. Come," said Star Swirl as he led the merchants to his lab.
"And that is why this is all happening," said Star Swirl as he finished informing the group of ponies of what had been happening earlier in the day.
"So how will we stop them?" said the Yellow Unicorn as she looked at Star Swirl.
"I have a trap that I have in mind that would result in sending them to another world. One where they won't cause any harm," said Star Swirl as he levitated a mirror into the room.
"If I can get them in front of this mirror I can use it send them to," said Star Swirl as he looked at the merchants before being questioned by one.
"Forgive the interruption. But why can't you just use magic on them to freeze them and then throw them into the portal or something?" asked the Brown Pegasus looking at Star Swirl.
"From what I was able to learn about those pendants. The amount of power they currently have from all the settlements they've been to. They'll be more than a match for any combatants who stand in their way. That and if equestrian magic were to be used within their vicinity, they'd be able to sense it through their pendants, they're even able to resist some attack spells. I was fortunate enough for that mare to not wake up sooner. However if they were to be completely cut off from the magic they've obtained across the land such as being sent to another dimension their power will diminish and everypony that has fallen victim to their magic will return to normal," said Star Swirl responding to the question.
"So what do you need us to do?" asked the White Earth Pony wondering what his role would be in the trap.
"It pains me to say this. But I need you to lure them to the stage and allow them to use their magic on you. If you do so I'll activate the mirror to send them away. I promise the five of you when I say, if you assist you'll each my word that you will be commended greatly for this," said Star Swirl as he looked at the merchants.
"Well if it gets rid of those three ponies I'll do it," said The Silver Pegasus willing to fall victim to the sirens if it meant them being sent away.
"Wait. If they aren't the sirens how did they find those jewels?" said the White Earth Pony as he looked at a note that Star Swirl took that said that the three mares were not the sirens from long ago.
"Because those mares are orphans who were lured to them by the song of the sirens," said Star Swirl revealing some of the background for the three ponies.
"Go on," said the Brown Pegasus wanting to hear more about the three ponies.
"I need to ask do any of you recall the attack on the north eastern region of Equestria twelve years ago?" asked Star Swirl as he looked at the five ponies.
"Oh yeah I remember that. Those were some scary looking monsters. I should know I was there when that happened," said the Brown Pegasus remembering the attack on the north eastern region of Equestia by unknown creatures over a decade ago.
"Yeah. Why would you ask?" said the Silver Pegasus questioning why Star Swirl asked of the attack.
"That attack had other consequences. Those three ponies. Their families did not survive the attack, they've lived on the streets since then. Trying to grasp onto what little food and shelter they could find. They'd known each other since they grew up in the same village before that attack. They spent much of their time travelling across the region. Eventually they came across the village near the southern edge of region the one that harvests half the grain in the region. They lived in a cave in the woods surrounding that village for years until the songs of the sirens brought them to those jewels they wear around their necks," said Star Swirl informing the five of the life the three ponies had for the past decade.
"Dear Celestia," said the Yellow Unicorn as she looked at Star Swirl.
"Wow. Now I kind of feel sorry for them," said the Orange Unicorn as he began to feel sympathy towards the three.
"They have my sympathies as well. But after what they've been doing for the last two months. And given the amount of sanity they've lost in the years since that attack. They have to be stopped. Even if I feel sorry for what they've been through," said Star Swirl as he looked at the mirror.
"Wait. Hold up I know that region isn't the kindest to vagrants but did they seriously not see any other children their ages turning to orphanages, nor did they hear of ponies adopting orphans? I have an aunt and uncle who live in that region. Well their ages would've put them before their son, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have minded raising them as their own if they helped on the farm," said the Orange Unicorn questioning why the three didn't seek out help given that their young ages would've landed them in the care of a family.
"That had occurred to me as well. And I found out through Sonata's memories that during their short stay in the city in the center of that region, they had witnessed a group of vagrants getting roughed up and heavily insulted. There was at least a pair of children within that group. After seeing that and given the fact that they were eight at the time, they assumed that nopony would've taken them in since they were vagrants themselves. In the time that came after that incident they grew very bitter. They believed that nopony would love them. Adagio has said many times that they would make all ponies adore them. However given all this information I suspect a different meaning to those words," said Star Swirl revealing more of the three ponies.
"Wow. I feel a little uneasy doing this. They didn't do anything to have all this happen to them," said the Silver Pegasus as she looked at the other merchants.
"I feel the same way too. But as I previously said their sanity has diminished in the years since they were orphaned. I highly doubt they'd listen to reason," said Star Swirl as he looked at the Silver Pegasus.
"Well let's get this over with," said the Orange Unicorn as he got up.
The next day.
"Look at this," said Sonata as she entered the residence that the three sirens had taken for the night with a letter in hand.
Sonata gave the letter to Adagio who then began to read it.
"Yes! We got a request from a coastal city up north. They want us to perform up there they're expecting us to arrive by tonight," said Adagio as she looked at the other two.
"Well let's go," said Aria as the three exited the home.
They then travelled to the exit of the city. As they began to leave the city they passed a caravan of five ponies travelling to the city.
"Hey I don't sense our magic on them," Sonata whispered into the ears of the two beside her.
"I don't sense it either. Wanna sing to them?" whispered Adagio as she looked at Sonata and Aria.
"Small group but I could use some exercise," whispered Aria as she looked at the two who silently agreed.
The three then turned to the group entering the city. However the White Earth Pony noticed the three before speaking to them.
"Hey are you singers?" asked the White Earth Pony as he looked at the three.
"Uh that is correct. We're singers we were just about to. Wait how did you know we were singers?" said Adagio as she looked at the white pony.
"I had a singer vibe coming from you, it was just a lucky guess," said the White Earth Pony answering Adagio's question.
"Oh. In that case would you like a performance?" said Adagio as she looked at the five ponies.
"Well we are a little early. I suppose a performance wouldn't hurt," said The Orange Unicorn as he looked at this pocket watch.
"Alright let's begin," said Adagio preparing themselves for one last performance in the city.
"Wait there's a theater nearby let's do it in there. Considering the odd behavior these ponies are showing," said the Brown Pegasus as he pointed to a nearby theater.
"I suppose," said Adagio deciding to go perform in the theater.
The eight ponies walked to the theater, five of which were baffled at the sight of several ponies were arguing.
"What's with everypony? Why are they at each others throats?" said The Silver Pegasus acting clueless as to what was happening.
"I don't know. They were like that when we got here," said Aria lying to the five.
The ponies entered the theater. The five ponies sat on the floor and waited as the three mares got on the stage and faced the small crowd.
The three began their singing to the group. However on the other side of the curtains behind them, a gray unicorn was about to set off the true reason as to why they were performing in the theater.
"Now to send you away," muttered Star Swirl wearing a set of earplugs the material for which completely absorbs sound. He then began to use a spell to activate the mirror.
"You feel that?" said Aria upon sensing equestrian magic behind her.
The curtains behind the three burst open as a mirror began to suck the three in, while a gray unicorn stood beside the mirror.
"It's a trap!" shouted Adagio as the portal almost immediately pulled the three in.
The five ponies that lured the three into the theater were then teleported beside Star Swirl to prevent them from being sucked in themselves. While the three ponies tried in vain to grab onto something but alas due to the lack of wings and horns. And the fact that they were caught completely by surprise, the three were all pulled into the portal.
"Yes. It worked," said a relieved Star Swirl as he began to close the portal.
He then turned to the merchants who were already recovering from their trance.
"My head. What happened?" said the Silver Pegasus as she slowly snapped out of the trance she was in.
"It is all right it's over," said Star Swirl as he began to walk away.
"I take it your plan worked," said the Brown Pegasus as he snapped out of the trance he was in.
"Correct we need to speak to the chancellor," said Star Swirl as he help the merchants get back on all four legs. While everypony in Canterlot began to return to normal.
"Everypony they took control of is returning to normal," said Star Swirl as he spoke to the chancellor.
"Good and the three ponies?" said the Chancellor asking about the trio that was responsible for the chaos across Equestria.
"They won't bother anypony ever again," said Star Swirl as he looked at the princess.
"Why would that be?" asked the Chancellor questioning what Star Swirl meant.
"I sent them to another dimension. One that is completely devoid of equestrian magic or any form of magic. They won't harm another being again," said Star Swirl assuring the chancellor that the sirens won't harm anyone again.
"Then I hope that's the last we see of them," said the Chancellor relieved at the thought of the three being unable to cause trouble.
"I believe so too. The only way for them to cause any harm is if equestrian magic were to somehow enter that world. Which I can assure you will never happen," said Star Swirl assuring the Chancellor that the three ponies will not cause any harm again.
"As for the five of you. You will be rewarded greatly for this," said the Chancellor as he turned to the five merchants.
"We were just doing our part in keeping our beloved land safe," said the Brown Pegasus as the other four nodded in agreement.
"Captain take them to receive their awards," said the Chancellor speaking to the captain of the guard.
"Come with me." said the Captain before leading the five to receive their rewards.
"So those three ponies were not the sirens correct?" asked the Chancellor as he looked at Star Swirl.
"Correct. They have the spirits of the real sirens. Their bodies had been sealed in stone, while their spirits were sent into their gems. Other then that the only other thing I was able to gather with that spell, is that the real sirens had given those three some of their power. If they were engaged in combat they would've brought out those spirits to aid them. Which would've required a large amount of magic which they have more than enough of," said Star Swirl answering the question.
"I feel sorry them. They were orphaned by that attack twelve years ago, if only we had known we would've done something for them," said the Chancellor as he looked at the notes that Star Swirl had taken regarding the three mares.
"I feel sympathy for them as well, but the toll their sanity has taken is too much. I had to send them to another world," said Star Swirl before he proceeded to leave the throne room.
"Ow!" shouted Sonata as she landed in some shrubbery.
"That hurt," said Sonata before Aria landed on her.
"Well that was just great," said Aria as Adagio landed near her.
"Uh girls," said Adagio loudly to bring to attention of the two to her.
"You look different," said Adagio as she looked at her friends who's bodies were in a completely different form from before they were sucked into the portal.
"Tell that to yourself," said Aria as she looked at Adagio with the same surprise.
Sonata began pointing at her new body before pointing to Adagio. Who then looked down at her body which had also taken a completely different form albeit identical to the other bodies of the other two sirens.
"What in the name of Tartarus happened to us?" said Adagio as she looked at her body which was almost completely devoid of hair. Except for their heads.
"We look like wingless imps," said Aria examining her friends bodies.
"Eww! These new bodies so fleshy!" said Sonata feeling her fleshy body.
"Enough about our new bodies. Where are we?" said Aria as she looked around the shrubbery they were in.
"We must've landed in another world," said Adagio as she looked at something.
"What makes you say that?" Sonata asked in response to Adagio's words.
"Look," said Adagio as she pointed to something out of the shrubbery.
The three looked out in the open field which led to a town. On a pathway to said town there was a caravan of two-legged fleshy creatures who's bodies were identical to the sirens new forms, except the major difference was that they wearing what looked like clothing. And were all heading towards the town.
"Definitely in another world. Never seen anything like them before," said Aria as she examined the creatures walking to the town.
"You think we can use our singing on them?" said Sonata wondering if they could use their abilities on them.
"Probably, but I'm not sensing any magic," said Adagio unable to sense any magic through her pendant.
"What?" said Sonata as she grabbed ahold of her pendant and began shaking it.
"Well that's just great! What are we supposed to do now?" said Aria as she looked at Adagio who pushed her down before speaking up.
"I don't know. But for now let's try to keep a low profile and learn as much as we can about this new world especially those things. We don't know what those two-legged fleshy freaks are capable of," said Adagio as she looked at the town the creatures were entering.
"Okay. And can we grab some of that clothing they're wearing? I'm getting cold," said Sonata as she began to rub what used to be her upper right leg in an attempt to keep herself warm.
"Sure. Let's grab some from that town," said Adagio as she exited the shrubbery.
"Do you think we'll ever be able to return to our world?" said Aria not wanting to stay in this new world they were in.
"I don't know! But for now get used to this world who knows how long we'll be stuck here for," said Adagio as the three walked towards the town.
