North Star

As I walked down the path to the cave I got water from, there were... hoof prints? No pony ever goes out here, especially in the middle of winter! So why would someone be wandering around out here? Maybe it's an animal? No... no that cant be. The deer don't wander much around this time of year. I then followed the hoof prints at a near gallop.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the little filly at the entrance of the cave (Water Cave). I had then noticed that I never got more than five feet away from the path. I shook all thoughts out of my head but one. Get the filly. Luckily the poor thing was still breathing. So I started my venture back home.

I woke up slowly. It was freezing out here! I couldn't feel my hooves or my wings. Something was different now, I was moving? No... something was moving me. I hurt everywhere so maybe it was a timber wolf carrying me. Then again I didn't feel jaws digging into my back. Whatever was carrying me did not help the pain go away.

I wanted to pass out again so I would stop hurting. Three hours went past. I was hungry, thirsty, tired, and extremely cold. Not to mention that I was overwhelmingly bored! "Uhhh". I let out a loud groan. I felt the thing carrying me move faster. "Don't worry, you'll be ok." I was relived. I wasn't being taken away by some wild animal! Exhaustion hit me, I was so tired. And yet I wasn't as scared for my life. Maybe that's why I couldn't go to sleep. Those were my last thoughts as sleep took me.

I awoke to the smell of food cooking and a warmth drawing nearer. Slowly I cracked my eyes open, my vision was blurry, but it was clearing. A big fluffy blanket was draped over me. I pulled it closer trying to get closer to its heat. "Sea Breeze could you go give this to Milk Bone. Yeah Mom." It was the same voice as before, the older mares voice.

The mare walked up to me and fluffed my pillow before she noticed that I was awake. "Sea shes awake!" The mare yelled. My ears started to ring and she saw that I was in pain. "Oh I'm so sorry! " It's ok" I was able to mumble.

"What's your name? My name's Galaxy Snow, your's? Sorry my name is North Star, welcome to my home, that will probably be your's for a little while.You get some more rest ok." I followed her commands, her words not setting in, oh well at least I could have comfortable sleep.
