The big entrance
The wind was hitting hard against her flowing multi-coloured mane,
The pressure and speed hit against her wings,
The glow of the sun in the sky was leaning against her cyan coat,
She loved it.
Rainbow Dash was one of (or overall) the best flyer in all of Equastria. To some ponies it may have been surprising that she had not been asked to join the wonderbolts sooner, however Dash knew why.
She was over-confident and self absorbed.
But now, she had become and grown into a potential leader, despite the fact that Spitfire is the captain of the bolts.
"One day..'' she thought to herself whilst still maintaining the same speed, ''I'll be the captain, and my awesomeness will be noticed even....'' she hit her head with her hoof. "... no... I need to be less self absorbed. Less self absorbed. Less self absorbed...'' these words played in RD's mind when all of a sudden, still in the sky, she bumped into something, not painfully, because it was soft, although it was somepony.
"hey Crash!'' the voice crept into Rainbow's ears, not because of the tone, but because of her nickname.
"hey Flatfoot.'' Dash remarked as Fleet foots smirk curled downwards slightly upon her own nickname rasping through her own ears.
Both pegasi were just above the runway.
Dash turned to Fleet foot with determination painted on her face. "Oh no... I hate it when you pull that face;'' Fleet foot started to say with annoyance in her voice.
"... it means you have a plan, and your plans aren't exactly that bright.''
Rainbows jaw dropped from this insult.
"I'll have you know, that my plans are very effective. Remember the time I,... er, that didn't go so well. OH WAIT! How about the time I, no.. that didn't go so well either.'' Rainbow muttered underneath her breath as she cringed from remembering how she tried to get rid of her awful nickname.
"Just forget it Crash, you never think your ideas through, so why do you think the idea you came up with a moment ago would be remotely a good Ide-'' Fleet foot was about to continue until Rainbow announced 3 words which repeated numerous times in Fleet's head, which sent goosebumps down her spine.
"A Sonic Rainboom.''
"A-are you crazy????? That's too dangerous! I mean; you've only pulled that off like, three times? What if it goes wrong? What if.....''
"trust me'' is all Dash answered as she sprinted up into the air before Fleet foot could continue.
As soon as Dash was at a good height, she turned and flew as fast as her wings would take her towards the runway.
A cone started to form around her, as all of the bolts whom had ran outside to witness the so called 'old mares tail' gasped, and soon enough, the circle of light pierced and flooded the sky with a set of colours, and the sound followed the amazing sight as it hit all of the pegasi ears.
But to one bolt it was more then legendary,
To one stallion it was more then outstanding,
To one navy blue maned stallion it reminded him of when he first met the mare he cared for most in Equastria,
It reminded him of the time Rainbow Dash had saved his life.
As much as Rainbow enjoyed all of the praising words from the ground where she had performed the amazing stunt, she couldn't help but feel worried about Soarin who was just standing as stiff as a tree glaring at the floor as if he was thinking. Thinking hard.
Spitfire had spotted him and was confused as to why he was so motionless, so she decided to wake him up from his thoughts.
She trotted towards him with her clip board in her hoof and her whistle around her neck.
Soon enough Dash landed gracefully on the ground, whilst panting for air. Every pony ran up to her in excitement, accept for one pony. That was Soarin.
Memories were flowing through his head, such as when Rainbow had saved his life, when she had performed a Rainboom at the Canterlot wedding, and then danced with him, at this moment his brain only focused on these memories, until...
"Soarin? SOARIN!!!!!'' the loud echoing voice was followed by a whistle that crawled through his mind sharply.
Spitfire had a face of rage, whilst standing right before him. His first thought was 'wow; she's using her inside voice' Soarin was sweating trying to think of what to say. "you love using that whistle.. don't you?''
Spitfires lips curled into a smile, slowly, but eventually she smiled. "yeah, I love my whistle.'' she said whilst tapping it gently with her hoof. "don't know what I'd do without it.'' she turned from Soarin and trotted off. Soarin shook his head and chuckled.
Until... he heard a voice with made his heart beat through his pulse.
"Hey Soarin! What did ya think of my sonic rainboom? Impressive, right?''
Soarin stayed firmly in place, and started stuttering, ''y-yeeahh, Prett-y awe-s-ssome just l- like you..'' Soarin mentally facehoofed knowing that Dash would tease him about the unclear words he had just said. However, to his surprise, he could hear muffled chuckles from the mare.
"you're awesome too ya know, its just that I'm the princess of awesome.'' Rainbow stated proudly.
At this moment Soarin felt his grin rise. "A princess doesn't go around boasting about herself awesomeness, however I..''
''YOU?'' Dash burst into a fit of laughter. "sure Soarin, I bet you're gonna strap a fake horn on your head and say,'' RD started in a mocking voice as she got into character, ''I am Soarin, princess of goofiness and eating pies.''
They both hit the flour hard in laughter. Soarin helped Dash back up, and they both headed towards the wonderbolts HQ.

The Uncertainty
As Soarin and Dash were walking together, Soarin trying to rap his wing around Crash frequently however every time slipped away; Rainbow bumped into Spitfire.
"I'll walk on; meet you outside Dashie'' Soarin said with a wink.
'Dashie??' Rainbow thought to herself as her face became bright pink.
"OY!! CRASH!!! WATCH WHERE YA GOIN!!!!!!'' Spitfire hollowed as she blew her whistle.
"Sorry Spit; its just that I'm concerned about Soarin..... he's been flirting with me all day; do ya reckon he's trying to mess with my feelings??''
All Dash could hear from Spitfire were light giggles.
"Seriously Crash?? That stallions had a crush on you since the gala; you did save his pie after all...''
"H-he ha-s a c-cru-rush o on me?????''
Rainbow stood their; her face turning hot pink and her hooves becoming stiff whilst staying firmly in place.
"Anyways Crash; he's waiting outside for ya; better catch up with him..''
Spit trotted off with her uniform folded on her back.
Rainbow was still shocked. She hesitantly walked out of the HQ.
Soarin was leaning against the wall; looking straight at her seductively,
"Stop starring at me like that Clipper.''
"Like what?''
"Just, stop.''
"Ya know Dashie;'' Soarin started to say as he leaned away from the wall and started to walk towards her with a warm yet, flirtatious grin spread across his face...
"Its a fact that some kisses are given with the eyes.''
Dash quickly put her hoof in front of her eyes and looked away.
"Did I do something wrong Rainbow??''
"I feel uncomfortable gazing at your eyes now.
"Did you say; 'gazing' Dashie??'' Soarin said, as he leaned closer to her so that their muzzles were touching.
"I get it; maybe you don't want to gaze into my eyes.. because you would rather kiss me...'' Soarin whispered.
Dash removed the hoof from her eyes to bring her muzzle closer to his, their lips almost touching.
"Maybe I do...''
"I SHIP IT!!!!!!!!!!!''
Soarin was beyond frustrated. Non other than Fleet foot herself had ruined the perfect moment. Dash quickly flew away in utter embarrassment.
"I am going to kill you Fleet.....''
"What? With shipping?? I almost had a heart attack when I saw my OTP about to kiss!!!!''
"OTP?'' Soarin asked in confusion. He shook his head and flew towards Rainbow to check whether she was okay.
Meanwhile, Dash was lying on her bed with her cushion over her head.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!''
Dash said whilst progressively shouting.
"I have a crush on him that I never knew was there....''

Rainbow slid herself under her blankets as she prepared her acting skills.
*cough cough* ''It's open...'' Rainbow stated making her voice sound cracked.
Soarin hesitantly opened the door. He saw a clear room before him and climbed up the staircase.
" Wow; Dash, are you alright?'' Soarin asked as he walked up to her.
" I think I've got a cold..'' Dash stated in the weakest voice she could muster up.
"You know Dashie...'' Soarin started to say,'' There's only one cure for colds....''
Dash was about to respond, however she could feel a certain stallion getting under the covers and hugging her tightly.
''.. A handsome stallion such as myself to snuggle up to.'' Dash instantly blushed.
Soon enough; she fell asleep and started to snore quietly.

"What's wrong Clipper??''
Dash asked as she turned around and met his gaze.
"I have a fear...''
" Go on..'' Dash said as her magenta eyes twinkled.
''That I'll never be good enough for you.''
"Look Soar, your flirting is terrible..''
"I'll have you know; I work very hard in my flirting and...''
''.. But I like it, well... I like you.. and, well..''
"I love you Rainbow Dash.'' Soarin stated calmly, gazing down at her magenta orbs.
"I love ya too; you big goof''^^
"So.... we are official?''
"I guess...''
Soarin chuckled. "Well Fleet will be happy..'' Dash rolled her eyes.
"Why?"
"Because we are her OTP.''
''Her WHAT??''

After a long, hard day of training, Rainbow Dash trotted past Blaze giving another massage to Fleet Foot and over to her locker.
She placed her Wonderbolt uniform inside and shut it, at the same time jumping as a certain stallion with emerald eyes was leaning beside her locker.
"Hey Crash..."
Soarin said with a flirty tone as his gaze locked onto hers with a goofy grin washed over his face.
"Oh, er.. hey Clipper; you okay??''
Dash asked with concern dipped in her raspy voice.
There was a moment of silence between the two pegasi.
"Soarin, shouldn't you be heading home now?''
Soarin's grin widened. He opened his mouth to speak.
"Do you have a map? Because I keep on getting lost.....''
"Actually I d-''
".... in your eyes.'' Soarin stated as he shot her a wink.
"Seriously?'' Dashes eyes rolled as she turned and started walking towards the exit of the locker room.
Soarin flew in front of her as she stopped. She looked up at him in confusion, whilst his grin remained glued to his face.
''Hey Dashie, you dropped something....''
Rainbow turned around looking for anything she may have dropped. She turned back to Soarin.
"I don't think-''
".... my jaw.''
Dashes face started to heat up and her heart started to thump faster as she felt Soarins gaze still on her. She was confused. Yes, she knew that Soarin is goofy and comes up with a few pick up lines here and there, however he had never used flirtatious ones before.
As expected Soarin was still standing in front of her whilst still grinning.
He spoke again.
"You know Dashie, you and your friend Pinkie Pie have a lot in common.''
"..And why is that?'' Dash asked knowing that he would answer with another chat up line.
"Both of your faces are pink.''
At this moment it struck Rainbow that her face had fully heated up from all of Soarin's flirtatious remarks.
"Haha! I'm only kidding Crash!'' Soarin stated as he nudged Dash with his hoof playfully.
"hehe, yeah..'' Dash said as she started to grin sheepishly.
"Oh wait...'' Soarin said with a slick tone in his throat.
"Did the sun come up, or did you just smile at me?''
Dashes eyes rolled again as she nudged Soarin and walked out to the Wonderbolts meeting room with him.
Something was lurking in the back of her mind; whether it be the practice from earlier that day or Soarin,
his pick up lines and flirtatious chat were new to her; but she....
........liked it?
