First Impressions

‘Why does this school never cease to annoy me?’ thought Zeus as he walked through the halls of Canterlot High. He once again noticed some more people making fools of themselves, in his opinion. ‘It's like they have nothing better to do.’ Everyone stayed away from Zeus anyways because that's what kind of image he made for himself in middle school and in elementary school.

He always wore a black hooded cloak that he always had it swept to the side so people could see him wearing regular blue jeans a red shirt with black boots as well, and a mask that had two red marks going 0.down from the forehead to the top of the eyes. The mask itself was metal with flower patterns all over it. Were the mouth was,was a strip of red and his eye holes made it look like the mask was always angry. So no one ever saw his face not that anyone wanted to get to close to him with what he was wearing Or any skin from him for that matter. ‘Well whatever stupid new thing they got going on is hardly worth my attention. It's lunch, not that I eat anything anyways. But it's better than just sitting in a class learning nothing new. ‘

As Zeus walked into the cafeteria he noticed the huge line for lunch today. ‘Hmmmm, must be something special,’ Zeus mused. ‘Oh well.’ Shrugging, he went to his usual table

“Ah, my good old table,” Zeus whispered to no one in particular “Nice and secluded just how I like it.” His voice was slightly muffled because of the mask. Just as he began to lean back and listen to his music he heard someone clearing their throat.

“Yes?” Zeus asked lazily, only opening one eye. Standing in front of him was a purple haired girl with white skin. Her light blue dress seemed very carefully crafted and expensive. She had a very nice blue bow on the front, and her shoulders were adorned with purple. She gazed at Zeus, her azure eyes taking note of his form. “How may I help you?”

“Well I was wondering if I could sit here darling?” the girl asked. ‘Wait a second, I know that voice hear it a lot in my math class.’

“Your name’s Rarity, right?”

“Why yes it is, and if I'm right, your name is Zeus.” She said, in a regal voice, as if she were a princess looking for respect.

“How is it that you know my name?” Zeus asked the girl.

“Well, I hear it whenever the teacher calls you out. So you gonna answer my question? It's rude to keep a lady waiting.”

“First off, you can sit here, just don't expect me to talk to much. Secondly, why are you sitting here, and thirdly we’re freshmen and you're worried about being treated like a lady?”

“Well thank you for letting me sit here.” She said as she sat down in the seat right across from Zeus. “As for the answer to your other questions... Well sitting here should give me a break from the other fashionistas. It's a lot more tiring than it looks.” Zeus just rolled his eyes, unseen by Rarity behind his mask. “And as for your last question, it's always important to keep up appearances. I would expect a man of you caliber to understand such things.”

“Oh and what is that supposed to mean?”

“Oh, just that I've seen you over the years and that you have built of the appearance of someone best to be left to his own devices. That's all. Now I have a question for you.” Rarity leaned forward a little. “Well, two. Why do you wear that black cloak everyday, and why wear that mask as well?”

“What if I don't want to answer your questions?”

“Why darling, then you'd hurt my feelings.” Rarity replied, giving Zeus a big puppy dog look.

“Ugh fine but I'm not explaining everything. Well I guess it all started when I was pretty young actually….”

“WHY DON’T YOU WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING FRESHMAN!” Said a voice that was unmistakably male.

A much softer, meeker voice responded. “I-I'm sorry, it's just, I've had a lot on my mind, and I guess I wasn't paying attention.” Zeus quickly looked up and saw a rather big looking boy leering over a much smaller girl, who was on the ground practically crying. Even discounting the size of the boy, she was quite small and skinny. She had yellow skin and long, pink, flowing hair, reaching all the way down her back. She wore a white sleeveless tank top and a pink skirt. Her turquoise eyes gazed up at the boy anxiously, particularly at what appeared to be the day’s lunch splattered on his shirt.

“WHY DON'T I TEACH YOU A LESSON THEN!?” he bellowed, rage distorting his face. His hands were balled into fists. Zeus quickly ran over to the scene.

“Now sir, why don't we all just calm down, just go sit down, and just go on with the day?”

“And just who the hell are you supposed to be huh, shrimp?”

“My name is Zeus, good sir, now if we can just go on with the day…”

“Who are you supposed to be her boyfriend or something? You obviously don't know how things work around here freshman. Maybe I should teach you a lesson instead,” the brute contemplated, cracking his knuckles ominously. Zeus turned around and saw the girl still on the ground crying, looking up at Zeus with a worried expression on her face. He turned back to face the brute.

“Sir, you have one more chance to walk out of here. But if you threaten me again, I'll show you why I'm not to be messed with.” Zeus told him forcefully.

“Huh big talk coming from a shrimp. Do you know who I am? This is my school, my halls, and what I says go. Got it?”

“Apparently it's not your school anymore seeing as how this freshman is standing up to you.”

“That's it! You asked for it!” The brute said as he reared up to punch Zeus. The punch never landed, at least not where the brute intended it to. Zeus had grabbed the fist before it could hit him and held it back with little effort. The brute’s hand started to bend backward slowly, sending him to the ground with a cry of pain. As he fell, Zeus used his other fist to punch the brute straight in the face, knocking him out cold.

“So uncivilized,” he commented in disgust, turning to talk to the crying girl, only to find another girl kneeling down next to her reassuring her. Zeus knew he recognized her. It was none other than Rainbow Dash. Even if he didn’t know her, he could have easily guessed from her rainbow hair. She wore a magenta shirt with the symbol of a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt coming out of it. She wore regular blue jeans, but had overalls connecting her jeans to her shirt. Her eyes were a magenta color. Zeus knew who it was, because he shared a gym class with her. He often heard her bragging about her speed and agility. Apparently it was good enough to rival some of the older kids in the school, although Zeus was unimpressed.

“Ahem, will you be all right there, my dear?”

“Who are you supposed to be huh, buster?” Said Rainbow, almost getting right in Zeus’s face. Her voice was very raspy for a female’s voice.

“I like to believe I'm the guy who actually did something for this girl, unlike some people.” Zeus said dryly.

“Look, I was late, okay? Otherwise there would've been no need for you to intervene. And how the heck did you manage to knock that guy out with one punch?”

“T-thank you, mister, f-for helping me.” Squeaked the girl on the floor. Her voice is very quiet. So much so, Zeus had to strain his hearing to hear her above everyone else.

“Well it seems that someone appreciates my help. As for your question, Rainbow Dash, I know exactly where to hit someone to stun them for at least a few minutes.” Stated Zeus smugly.

“All right, all right, thanks for helping out my friend, I guess… uh what's your name?” Rainbow Dash asks, slightly annoyed at Zeus’ tone. Zeus was about to face palm, but he learned a while ago that it didn't hurt him because of his mask.

“Well, if you were to actually pay attention in gym class for once, I'm sure you'd catch my name. The name is Zeus. You don't need to tell me your name, Rainbow, I’ve heard about you. But this girl, I'd like to get to know. If you don't mind me asking, what is your name? For the life of me you look familiar, and I feel like I should know your name.”

“M-my name is F-Fluttershy.” She stuttered obviously showing signs of still being upset.

“Hey Flutters, I've gotta go. Coach Spitfire needs me for something. You'll be okay right?”

“Y-yeah I think so since Zeus helped me.”

“Okay.” She turns to Zeus. “I need to talk to you for a moment.” And without waiting for an answer she grabs his arm and takes him a short distance away. “Look I need to ask you a favor.”

“Oh? And what favor should I grant to one who so rudely pulled me away?” Rainbow just glared at him.

“Look wise guy it's not for me. It's for Fluttershy. I can't be there to protect her all the time anymore, what with sports and everything. So I was wondering if for the first time you could actually do something nice.”

“For the first time. Just a second ago you didn't even know my name what makes you think I don't do nice things hmm?”

“Just a hunch. Look so are you gonna help out or not?” Well my mentor is always telling me I need to start helping out people in the school. Where better start than with that cute girl. Wait a second did I just call her cute? No I'm not supposed to think like this I have more discipline than this.

“Sure I'll do it.”

“Awesome because you have, like the rest of the day with her.”

“Wait how in the hell do you know that?”

“Oh she's showed me her schedule and I've seen you walk towards the same direction. Well? Am I right, or am I right?”

“Uh, yes I think so.”

“Awesome. Look, I gotta go. Just take care of her okay?”

“Okay, should be easy.” Rainbow ran out of the cafeteria, going to what Zeus believed was the gym. Zeus slowly starts walking back towards Fluttershy, who is looking around confused, still on the floor.

“Here let me get you up. No need to be sitting on the floor.” Zeus held out a gloved hand. Fluttershy watched it with uncertainty.

“Don't worry, I won't bite. I'm here to help,” he reassured her, picking up the smaller girl with ease.

"Now have you eaten yet?" Fluttershy shook her head silently. "Hmmm.... well lunch is almost over, but I think the staff will let us stay. They're pretty chill with me. They know my dad too. He and Vice-Principal Luna seem to get along really well. Well, I think I need to get you some food."

“Oh no, you don't have to do that, I'll be okay.” Zeus turns around completely unconvinced.

"Look, my dear, as far as I know, I'm the only person here that can go the whole school day, without eating. So I'm going to get you lunch. And I'm going to keep you company till you finish. Then I'm walking you to class so I can tell them what happened. Sound good?"

“Can you really do all that?” she asked softly.

“Why of course. It is how my father raised me after all.” Zeus said with a comical bow, at which Fluttershy giggled. “Now why don't you go and sit over at that table over there with Rarity, hmm? I'm sure she wouldn't mind meeting you.”

“Oh… Um, thank you,” Fluttershy replied, looking down at the ground. Hmmm her name does certainly suit her well. I'm most surprised.

“Well I'll see you in a few.” So Zeus went to wait in the lunch line while Fluttershy went to go sit with Rarity. Seeing Fluttershy approach, she greeted her warmly.

“Why hello there, darling. My name is Rarity. What's yours?” Rarity held her hand out for a handshake, which Fluttershy hesitantly took.

“My name is F-Fluttershy,” she replied softly, hiding behind her hair. “Nice to meet you Rarity.”

“Well darling, how much do you know the gentleman Zeus, hmmm? He seemed quite fond of you for him to go through so much for you.”

“Oh no, I'm sure he was just being friendly, you know, helping out.”

“I don't know darling. From what I've seen he doesn't seem like the one to just help someone out of the blue.”

“Oh Rarity, I think you'll find that I help out a lot more people than you might think,” Zeus responded from out of nowhere, having returned to the table.

Rarity nearly fell out of her seat in surprise. “Darling, you mustn't just pop in out of the blue and scare someone like that,” she complained

“Hmmm... I'd like to think that I didn’t pop in. I just came back to give Fluttershy her lunch. Here you go, my dear, now eat up. You'll need your strength.”

“Why? Is something gonna happen?” Fluttershy inquired worriedly, beginning to panic.

“What? No, no, you just went through a lot. My dad always said a good meal will help you get through some of even the hardest trials. Especially the mental or emotional ones.”

“Oh…. Okay, thank you then,” Fluttershy responded, and proceeded to stare into her food, blushing slightly.

“Hey now, no need to be embarrassed it was an honest worry. I could've worded my sentence a little bit better.” Hearing the sound of a door opening, Zeus turns around to see Luna enter the lunchroom. Seems like someone told her what happened. Oh well, might as well go and talk to her then.

As Luna crouched down next to the brute, assessing the damage caused, Zeus made his way over to her. “Hello Ms. Luna. How is your day?”

She quickly looked around to see who was talking to her. Upon seeing Zeus, she gave him a small frown. “Please don't tell me this was your doing again Zeus.”

“I’m afraid it was, Ms. Luna.” said Zeus, calmly

Luna sighed and lowers her voice to a whisper. “Look, I know your father talked to us about your ‘mind’ friends, but did they really lead you to knock this kid out?”

“Oh no, this time I had a much less selfish reason for knocking him out. That reason would be that he was bullying an innocent girl, sitting over at my table. And I couldn't let her just sit there like that. I had to stop it and step in. And to be fair, I did try to talk it out, but he didn't listen.”

“Zeus, now I must call your father about what happened here.”

“Oh don't try to fool me Ms. Luna. I know you'll enjoy talking to my dad.” Zeus teased.

“Now you behave yourself Mr. Kenobi. I'd advise you to head to class seeing as how the lunch bell already rang.”

“Oh crap, has it?” Zeus quickly looked to his not-so-empty table to see Fluttershy still sitting there looking like she's awaiting his return. ‘Hmm… At least she can listen.’ “Well you see, Ms. Luna, I kinda need to stay for a bit longer.”

“Oh, and what reason is that, Zeus?”

“Well, it's because that girl over there wasn't able to get her lunch because that guy was bullying her, so I got her lunch and told her I'd wait with her until she finished, then I'd take her to class and explain to the teacher why she and I were late.”

“Oh, your silver tongue never ceases to amaze me Mr. Kenobi. Okay fine, I'll allow it but don't take too long.”

“Yes ma'am. I'll make sure we return to class promptly.”

“Good. Now move along while I attend to this young student here.” Zeus promptly nodded and walked back to the table where he was sitting with Fluttershy.

“Oh I hope your not in trouble because of me.” Said the shy girl, meekly.

Zeus just looked at her for a second before answering. “Oh you needn’t worry about that. The principals know me and my father very well. It’s actually the reason why I'm allowed to dress like this everyday. Cause, you know, I do look very shady in this. Almost like I'm gonna hurt someone for no reason.”

“Oh no, you wouldn't actually do that would you? Hurt someone I mean. Because that wouldn't be very nice.”

Zeus just chuckled and shook his head. “Now if I were to do that I'd have done it by now. No, the reason why I wear this is because I don't want people seeing my face.”

“Why is that?” Fluttershy replied politely.

“I just feel self conscious about it. Don’t want to walk around showing it to everyone. But enough about me you better finish eating. Luna said we could stay, but not for long.”

“Oh okay then.” As Zeus waited for Fluttershy to finish, a voice began speaking in his head. ’So why exactly did you help her out?’the voice inquired, speaking gruffly.

Zeus, familiar with the voice, and its presence, responded simply in his thoughts. ’Possibly, because I didn't want to see her crying on the ground in the middle of the cafeteria. You know, protecting the weak is what we should do.’

‘He does make a fair point, Red,’spoke another voice, ancient and serene.

’Ugh, I can see that Blue, but why exactly? I mean I understand his whole sense of honour thing but still it's a bit ridiculous. And stop calling me Red! We have proper names now.’Said the voice called Red, irritated.

‘I'll stop calling you Red when you stop questioning everything that the young master does. And you know as well as I that he probably does that kind of stuff just so that he can make up for his past.’

‘Don't you even touch that, Blue,’ Zeus bitterly responded. ‘You know how much I hate that. You don't have any business mentioning that evil past.’

‘Well I was just offering it as the reason why.’

‘Oh look, you've upset him now happy Blue?’

‘Look here you…’

“Don't you two start arguing. I get really bad headaches when you two do that, and it stays for the rest of the day,” Zeus told the voices, not realizing he had spoken aloud.

“You okay Zeus?” Fluttershy cautiously asked the boy, concerned.

“Oh, er, yes,” Zeus replied awkwardly. “Just, talking to myself.” He looked away from Fluttershy, glad for the mask hiding his blush.

‘Well that was smooth, Casanova,’ Red joked. ‘If that's how you woo all the ladies, they’re gonna be in trouble alright.’

‘Don't want to hear it, Red,’ Zeus replied. ‘And not a word from you either, Blue.’

‘What? I wasn't going to say anything. Not for the moment.’

“So you done Fluttershy?” Fluttershy simply nodded her head. “Okay, let's go and head to class huh?” Fluttershy nodded again and got up following Zeus out of the cafeteria. When they reached the classroom Fluttershy just looked at the door nervously. Upon seeing this, Zeus said, “Relax nothing to worry about if there's any punishment I'll take the blame, okay?”

“Oh I can't let you do that. You've done so much for me already.”

“Nope, not another word. I got this, okay?”

“Oh… um... Okay then.” Fluttershy said as she hung her head.

“Hey now, it'll be alright. Let's just go inside and finish this day.” Fluttershy nodded. Zeus knocked on the door promptly, and when it opened, he walked in with his head held, high going straight to the teachers desk.

“Ah I was wondering where you two were. Care to explain?”

“Why yes, Mr. Doodle you see what happened…” And Zeus told him all that had happened in the cafeteria and how he had gotten Luna's permission to stay behind for Fluttershy to stay.

“Hmm… Well if that's the case, then go and take your seats.”

“Actually, there's a favor I'd like to ask of you, if I can. You see I'm kinda gonna be protecting Fluttershy from now on and it'd be easier if she was sitting next to me. I believe Vice Principal Luna would gladly come in and ask of you to do so.”

“Hmm... I guess I'll allow it for now.” Mr. Doodle cuts Zeus off before he can respond. “But if either of your grades drop I'll separate you two. Understand?”

“Oh you don't have to worry about that Mr. Doodle. I'll be able to help Fluttershy with her work this way.”

Mr. Doodle nodded. “Okay Fluttershy follow Zeus and sit next to him please.”

“Okay...” Whispered Fluttershy.

"Hey now, it'll be the easiest way for me to help you. I understand you being worried about a total stranger helping you from a bully, and he keeps wanting to help." Zeus chuckled. "Honestly, I'd be skeptical if I was in your shoes, but relax, okay? I won't hurt. I promise."

“I wasn't really worried about you hurting me.”

"You think I'm gonna believe that? I've noticed your nervous ticks, you playing with your hair, your stuttering, all points to you being afraid of someone, or something hurting you. I understand that you think I'm intimidating, but I promised I'd help you, didn't I?"

“Okay...” She said, a little louder and seems less tense than before.

‘So how are you gonna explain this one to your master hmmm?’Says Red

‘Well maybe if you wait until this school day ends you'll see now won't you? Now hush. I've got English to concentrate on.’

Later that day:

“Hm that's surprising.” Said Zeus more to himself than anyone else even though he is right beside Fluttershy while she is getting her stuff from her locker.

“What's surprising Zeus?”

“Huh?” Zeus turned around not realizing that he spoke out loud until Fluttershy asked him that question. “Oh just that no one came to mess with you the rest of today. I guess I give off more of an intimidating aura than I thought.”

“Yeah you are quite intimidating.” Then when she realized what she said she quickly said “Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that.”

Zeus just chuckles crossing his arms and leaned back against the lockers. “Don't worry about that. I'm used to that kind of, um, reaction from people. But I will say it was quite… pleasant protecting you today actually. Despite me not needing to do anything.” Zeus says with a laugh at the end.

Fluttershy just giggles at the last remark. “So shall we go and meet Rainbow out in the front of the school?” Said Fluttershy

“Oh that's surprising I think this is the first time I've seen you actually propose something for others to do with you. Sure let's go and head to the front.”

“Well I mean we did only just meet today.” Said Fluttershy as she walks with Zeus to the front of the school.

“Oh so you're saying you've actually done that before?” Said Zeus teasingly.

“W-well I mean the only other person I've talked to is Rainbow so not really.” She said rather meekly at the end.

“Hey now it was just a joke, but I do understand what you mean about Rainbow she barely takes a second to just stop and listen to what others say.”

“Yeah that she does.” Said Fluttershy with another giggle. Then realizing what she said quickly said “Oh don't tell her I said that please. I don't want to hurt her feelings.”

Zeus just chuckles again and said “Relax there now no need to get all worked up over that. Besides with ego as big as hers it'll take some harsh words to get to her. She's a tough girl.”

“Wish I could be tough.” Said Fluttershy looking down at the ground.

“Hey now you may not be as tough as her, but you are tough enough. I mean you see who your talking to? Takes a lot of guts to come talk to me.”

“Oh but you aren't that bad honestly when someone gets to know you.”

“Hm that's what my father says all the time. Ah hello Rainbow.” Zeus said spotting her out in the courtyard.

“Ah there you two are. What kept you?”

“We were just-”

“Look never mind you're here now so how was your guys day huh?”

Zeus looks down to Fluttershy who looks back up to him. With a small smile. “I'm sure I can speak for both of us when I say that it was good day. No one messed with her on any hand.”

“Huh really?” They both just nod. “Awesome so I was wondering Fluttershy I'm gonna be practicing after school and I was wondering if you wanna come and watch me?”

“Oh yes cause that's exactly what she needs after what she went through. To sit down on hard bleachers and watch her friend practicing.” Zeus said sarcastically

“Oh yeah tough guy what do you think she needs then huh?”

“Probably the chance to do what she really enjoys so she can just think about the day and not have to worry about anyone bothering her.”

“Oh, no one will bother me actually. I'll be fine.”

“Look Fluttershy I know from personal experience that when you get through the day after being bullied you need time to just sit and think about what to about the situation. In your case think about how it'll go tomorrow and such. Just take a moment to collect your thoughts.”

“Huh you're the first guy I think I've met who thinks about what he says and not just blurt things out.” Says Rainbow in surprise.

“Well I like to think I was raised well enough to know how to think. On any hand it's all up to you Fluttershy what you'd like to do.”

“I think I'll just go home and think.” She said rather quietly.

“No problem Fluttershy I was just wondering if you wanted to watch if you wanna clear your head go on I say.” Rainbow said cheerfully.

“See I told you takes allot to break her spirit.” Zeus murmured to Fluttershy. Who just giggled in response. “Well as charming as your girls have been, I really must get going back to my home, I got allot of work to do.”

“Oh okay then.” Fluttershy said looking very disappointed.

“Hey now what's up?” Zeus said comfortingly.

“Oh don't mind me it was a stupid request anyways.” Fluttershy mumbled to the ground.

“Now, now none of that what is it that you'd like.I Haven't left yet and I have some time before I really have to be home.”

“Oh I was just wondering if you could maybe possibly walk me home.” She said with a rather noticeable blush on her cheeks.

“Any particular reason why? Or do you just want to hang out with me?”

“Well sometimes when I go home these guys from school will bully me or push me down. But whenever Rainbow walks home with me they don't bother us.”

“It's true I can't walk her home every day unfortunately even less now. So could you help out there?” Said Rainbow

“Hm sure I don't see why not. Let's go Fluttershy show me to your home.” Zeus said with a bow and nod of his head.

Fluttershy just giggles at this and said “All right let's go.” And walked off in the direction to her home.

“Huh those two have something going on.” Rainbow said looking skeptically towards Zeus and Fluttershy leaving. “Well he better not hurt her that's what I'm concerned about.”

“I heard that Rainbow!” Zeus called back. “I'll be good!”

As the two walk to Fluttershy’s house they talked a bit about nothing in particular it just flits around from topic to topic.

“Hmm Fluttershy where by chance do you live?”

“Oh I live close to the more remote part of town, not the bad part. It's a good neighborhood actually.”

“I only ask cause this is looking awfully familiar to where I live or at least close to where I live.”

“Oh really.” She said brightly. “Well my house is actually right over there.” She points to a simple two story house. Painted white on the outside also having a very nice garden around the house.

“Looks nice.”

“Thank you the garden is my mom’s. My dad is probably still at work though so you won't meet him.” She looked away slightly sad.

‘Hmm... Odd as to why that'd make her sad.’

‘Maybe she really wanted you to meet her parents?’Blue offered confidently.

‘Or maybe she wanted her parents to see you and thank you or send you away and such,’ Red commented

‘Must you always see a bad side to everything?’ Zeus asked.

‘Well I'm sorry if I'm just pointing out possibilities.’

‘Well thank you for contribution, but if Fluttershy didn't want me around her she wouldn't have asked me to walk her home, thank you very much. Now be quiet.’

‘Fine be that way,’Red sulked.

‘Now now, Red. We are several thousand year old spirits. Don't be acting like a child.’

‘Who are you calling a child Blue? Coming from the one who likes to see everything in a good way... I'm just being a realist.’

‘Well at least I give people a chance before just assuming the worst,’ Blue retorted.

‘Will you stop bickering like you’re five? For crying out loud, you're thousands of times that age. Act like it.’ The two voices grumbled, but complied and went quiet for the moment.

“You okay Zeus? You kinda zoned out there.” Fluttershy questioned worriedly.

“Huh? Oh, I'm fine, just thinking really hard actually. So can you make it to your house from here?”

“Yep. Thank you for your help today I know it must've been a bother.”

“No, it wasn't at all. Actually it was nice for a change, rather than just go through the halls by myself. See ya tomorrow?”

“Yep. Are you gonna be walk with me back to school?” she asked, sounding slightly hopeful.

Zeus shakes his head slightly believing it to just be his crazy imagination. “Sure, I'll walk with you though don't expect me to talk much. I'll probably be tired. My dad likes to really push me in my training. In fact, my house is just one street over, so I'll actually be able to walk you home everyday, what with how close we live.”

“Oh, if you live that close then you live close to Rainbow as well,” Fluttershy noted brightly.

“Well. I should let you get home. Bye Fluttershy. See you tomorrow morning,” Zeus told her with a grin before remembering that she wouldn't be able to see it.

“Okay, bye Zeus. See you.” As she turned away Zeus noticed she had a slight spring in her step.

“Huh, you must be a good influence for her,” commented a voice from behind Zeus. He jumped in surprise, and reached for his hip in preparation for a fight. When he turned around however, he saw a rather good looking man. He looked to only be in his thirties, but with the wisdom of one twice his age. From his chin sprawled a full beard, slightly white. He wore a very ordinary outfit with blue jeans and a plain t shirt. He looked like what most women would consider handsome in their opinion. In fact he shared a very similar appearance to his ancestor Obi-Wan Kenobi. Who had a child that he never knew about.

“Oh it's just you father- uh, master,” Zeus spoke with respect, leaning for a bow.

“No need for that my boy. Especially not in public. Now come, let us go home. We have training to do.”

“Yes master,” Zeus replied, groaning slightly.

“Now now, don't be like that. You know how important it is that you complete your training. That way you can control the evil inside you.”

“Who, Red-Eyes? He's been behaving actually. Been annoying if anything. But Blue-Eyes has been keeping him in check.” Reaching the end of the block, they turned to cross the road.

“Be that as it may, I'd feel better if you could control it yourself. I don't need that dragon taking control and making a repeat of the past.”

“I've changed. Back then I couldn't control him as well. Now I'm sure I can.”

“Well regardless you still need training before you will be a knight.”

“Yes master. Oh I've been meaning to ask is it fine that I walk Fluttershy home everyday? She's the girl you saw me with and if I can protect her from bullies as well.” They slowed to a stop in front of a similar looking house to Fluttershy’s it being two stories and white on the outside. It looked like a normal house nothing remarkable. Nothing to hint at what happens inside of it nor of the people who live inside of it.

“Yes, I was wondering when that would come up, but we can talk about that in just a moment: we’re home. Let me go in and fix you a quick snack over which we can talk about this and about what happened at school today.”

“Oh, I'm guessing that Luna told you about that? Did she by any chance happen to talk about anything else than just?” Zeus said teasingly

“Yes to your first question as for the second, let's save that discussion for later.” Then both of them walk inside to what appeared to be an ordinary living room. You'd never guess that anything special was underneath it.

“Now come my boy, sit at the table. I made some food.” Zeus walks to the dining room to see sandwiches. As he sat down at the table, he could see the peanut butter and jelly slathered in between.

“Well, this must've taken you forever to make,” Zeus joked, carefully removing his mask to eat.

His father chuckled. “Yes, took me forever to by hand. So I had a little extra help. Now about this business with Fluttershy; you may protect her if only because that is what our order does. Protect the weak and you may walk her home, but you must be careful with how you deal with these bullies. We can't afford to become exposed to the Sith, for if we are, it will mean our doom.”

“So in other words don't demonstrate inhuman powers?” Zeus asked, his mouth full of bread and jelly.

“Yes exactly my point. And do be careful at the school with how hard you hit someone and especially with which arm.”

“Yes yes I know, but I tried diplomacy, and the brute just wouldn't walk away.” Zeus wiped the leftover crumbs of his sandwich from his mouth.

“Hmm... Well as long as you tried, I can't fault you too much for that. Ah, I see you are done. Ready to begin?”

“Depends if it’s meditating again.”

“Now now, you know it's important. It helps you connect with the Force and-”

“And all this other stuff I've heard a bunch of times before. Let's just get to work, eh master?”

“Hmm, fine, but I will have you show at least some more respect for our training.”

“I'm sorry master, I'm just a little impatient at the moment.”

“Ah, well maybe we can slow you down with your favorite training. Combat?”

“Yes master, thank you.”

“Good now, let us head downstairs to the holoroom. But after we do combat exercises I want you to give the rest of our training your full attention.”

“Yes master.”

Hello people this is my first fanfic in case you couldn't tell any feed back would be appreciated oh and btw his cloak that Zeus wears it's basically a sith cloak so people can still see what he wears normally like you know shirts and pants etc.

Mistakes Made

Beep Beep Beep! “Ugh, that accursed alarm clock goes off just when I don’t want to get up,” Zeus groaned as he reluctantly got out of bed.

It had been a few weeks since he had first meet Fluttershy and Rainbow. With september gone on October coming up Zeus decided to reflect on how they had grown in being friendly with each other. Especially Fluttershy. He had been getting along pretty well with them. There were of course ups and downs. Like where Zeus had to get past Rainbow’s arrogance, and when he had to help Fluttershy get used to him. It took a while, and she’s still slightly shy of him but he made much improvement from when they first met. He had also made sure to keep in touch with Rarity, just because he found her really fun to talk to sometimes. Of course he had to deal with her berating him for the longest time on how he dresses, and she does at times. Though she did start to warm up to him. It was just an aggravating process along the way. Zeus also fondly remembered when during the weekend a week ago his master had announced he was going out. Turns out he went on a date with Luna. Though he didn’t reveal how it went. Though Zeus assumed it went well, because when he came back he was smiling, and Luna was very happy on Monday.

“Oh, another wonderful day to be going to school,” he said sarcastically. “Why it's always so early, I'll never know.” Beep Beep Beep! “Oh shut up you.” Zeus slammed his hand on the off button. “Now that that's taken care of, now is the time to get dressed. Not that I wear anything new. Same old cloak, same old mask.” He put on his cloak, but decided keep the mask off, instead putting it in one of his internal pockets. He then searched around for his utility belt. Hanging from the sides were a pair of lightsabers, both customized for him. After he put on the belt, he chose to leave the hood of his cloak down because his master knew what he looked like already. He then grabbed the holster for his blaster, attaching it to his lower leg where it was hidden by his cloak. ‘And most Jedi don't even bother with blasters; well mine has always been helpful getting me out of many a tough spot.’ As Zeus made his way out of his room and downstairs to get a quick bite to eat, he saw his master was already up and awake. “Morning Zeus, how’d you sleep?”

“Eh, not much can be said, what with the fact that I always get woken up while I'm in the middle of a very good dream.”

“Heh, well isn’t that the truth. Ah, what a surprise! You're not wearing your mask! Oh, where'd you put it now? Huh?”

“Oh it's just right here inside of my cloak,” Zeus told his master, pulling the mask out briefly. “I'm going to put it on before I leave.” Without his mask on, his face was clearly visible. His eyes were very striking, one being red, and the other,the right eye, being a pure blueish white. The white eye had a large scar striking through it, starting from the corner of his forehead and stretching diagonally down to his jaw line. With his hood back, his short, hair sprawled messily, his hair was also interesting. On his right side it was pure white, on the other it was pitch black. Having shown where his mask was, he tucked it back into his cloak.

“Ah, okay then. But I must wonder why you choose to keep wearing that mask. Your face is never going to change my student. There is nothing that can be done about the scar. And your eye of course.”

“Again, covering my face is only one feature of the mask, master. You know as well as I that I made it for multiple things.”

“Yes yes, I know. Oh, just go ahead and wear it again. I assume that you'll only stop wearing it when you're ready.”

“If I ever do wish to stop wearing it.”

“Well while you ponder that, you might also wish to think about this. Aren’t you supposed to be meeting Fluttershy and walk her to school? Hmmm? Don’t want her to worry and freak out again.”

“OH crap! I completely forgot what with our banter back and forth! Ah crap I gotta go I'll see you latter master.”

“Yes well before you leave don't forget this.” Said Axel handing him his communicator. “You seem to always forget this but your lightsabers and your blaster you always remember.”

“Well uh you see the thing is…”

“Relax my boy I'm just teasing you go along now.” Zeus quickly rushed out the door putting his mask on over his face and pulled his hood up. ‘Can't let people know what I look like yet. I've only just started getting along with Fluttershy if she sees this. Well I'm pretty sure she'll be to scared to talk to me again.’

‘On relax Zeus you worry too much. The girl will like you regardless what you look like. You guys have know each other for around a month.’

‘Oh always trying to be the force of reason are we Blue?’

‘Well I do try now young master but it's still all the same.’

‘Well I actually agree with Blue on this one you worry way too much Zeus.’

‘Well thank you Red for taking my side for once.’

‘Okay well she might not get completely scared of me the fact of the matter still stands.’

“Hello Zeus? Is that you?” Said an all too familiar voice.

“Huh? Oh ah Fluttershy uh how long have you been waiting here for me?”

“Oh well not too long I suppose. I was starting to think you were going to leave me.”

“What? No I made a promise. I'd never leave you unless you wish me to do so.”

“Well if that's the case then you're staying by my side.” She said with a very adorable smile on her face as she hugs his arm.

“Heh well Fluttershy if we are to not be late we need to start walking now.”

“Oh okay then.” She let go of Zeus arm with a slight red tinge to her cheeks. “Yes let's get going.”

As they started walking to school Zeus noticed that Fluttershy seemed to be acting a bit distant. As if something was bothering her. “Hey, Fluttershy you alright? It seems like something is bothering you.”

She quickly looked up realizing that Zeus just spoke to her. “Huh? Oh uh I'm okay.”

“No your not, what's wrong huh? You know you can talk to me we’ve known each other for some time now..”

“Oh well I suppose it's that. Why do you keep zoning out? You’ve been doing it ever since we met, and sometimes it gets really bad where you're just staring off into space for a long time or doing it allot throughout the day. I know you're not being honest with me and just want to know what's bothering you. Cause I can help you to believe it or not.” She then hides behind her hair and mumbles. “That is if you want to tell me if you don't it's fine.”

‘Ugh damn it that is so adorable it would break even my most well placed mental defense.’

‘Does this mean you're gonna tell her about us? And the whole yugioh fiasco thing? Finally.’

‘What? No never she can never find out I was responsible for many many deaths, got that Red?’

‘What I'm just saying if you're gonna tell her about us then I was just wondering if you were gonna tell her the full story.’

‘No I don't believe he is going to at least not for a very long time. Cause you like this girl don't you Zeus?’

‘What? What makes you say that huh?’

‘Well we are in your mind after all so we know what you think. Well am I wrong?’

‘Well you may not be wrong within that regard, but I’m still not admitting anything. We have only known each other for only about a month now.’

‘Oh come on just admit it we are in your head. Not like we can tell any one anyways.’

No, heck I’m not even completely sure about my feelings for her it could all change within the years and I’ll only end up liking her as a friend.’

‘Oh fine go ahead and be that way, but you’ll never feel better until you admit it.’

‘Oh just be quiet you.’

“Uh Zeus you still here?”

“Huh? Oh uh I guess I was zoned out again. Uh Fluttershy what I'm going to tell is the truth and I need you to keep it completely secret understand?”

“Yes I understand. Why is it something bad? Like what your face looks like.” She said as she slowly reaches out her hand to touch his mask but then quickly pulls away before he can see.

“Well it's not completely bad, it’s just…. well I don't know what it is completely it just all depends on your point of view I suppose. Now have you ever had an imaginary friend?”

“What does this have to do with you zoning out?” She said with a very confused look on her face.

“Well you see I uh well I mean to say that I. Well uh in my head I guess you could say are spirits.”

“Spirits? As in things that are like ghosts and stuff?” She said sounding kinda skeptical about Zeus’s explanation.

“Well yes and no it's sorta hard to explain. Mainly because I'm not gonna explain my full past to you right now. I have two spirits living inside of me one of light and one of dark I guess you could say but they are actually both friendly they just argue between themselves and well they and I have talks and such.”

“So you're telling me that all that talking to yourself you're actually talking to these spirits? No offense Zeus but I find this kinda hard to believe. But I mean no offense.” She said quickly looking down.

“Heh I'd be surprised if you did believe what I said. I don't expect you to know nor understand what is going on with me.”

“Wait what do you mean by that?”

“Oh you might find out in time my dear let's just continue being friends for now eh?”

“Sure. Hey look we're at the school.”

“Yep well I'll be walking you to your classes now that is if you still want me around.”

“Why wouldn't I want you along? You're my protector or bodyguard right and you're my friend.”

“Yes well I suppose all that is true. Just that most people can only stand me for about a day then just don't want to hang around me anymore and you’ve been having me around for almost a month.Not that it bothers me I'm just fine being alone.”

“Well you don't have to be alone anymore Zeus I'll be here for you as a friend to help you.”

“Ha no offense to you but what I need help with is something that you can't help me with.”

“Why what is it?”

“Can't tell you sorry I'm forbidden to tell anyone order of my father.”

“Well I mean I can try…”

“Hey Zeus darling is that you?”

“Why hello Rarity how are you?” Zeus said giving a little bow.

“Oh you do know how to impress a lady don't you? You are such a gentleman and I'm fine thank you for asking. I've just been meaning to ask if I can get a sort of sample or something of your cloak it's design and fabric is something I don't recognize at all.”

“Heh well I wouldn't expect you to recognize it what with from where I got it. I'll see what I can do.”

“Oh hang on, hello Fluttershy.”

“Hey Rarity.” She says meekly looking like she's trying to take up as little amount of space as possible.

“Why darling no need to be shy I won't bite. We have known each other for about a month now.”

“Hey Zeus, hey Fluttershy how's it hanging?”

“Oh great Rainbow Dash is here.” Zeus mumbles to himself. “So how are you Rainbow? Good I'd assume?”

“Heck yeah I am. Oh hold on I'll be back real quick I made a new friend and I've been dying for you to meet her.” And with that she dashes off to go and get someone. Who it is was is a mystery to Zeus.

“Any idea who she's talking about?” Zeus asked the two girls.

“Hey don't look at me I don't even know Rainbow that well. Said Rarity shrugging her shoulders. “Speaking of her running off I got a new friend to she's around here somewhere I told her to meet me near the statue this morning.”Zeus then suddenly sees a pink blur heading straight for him. He has enough time to say “Wha-” before he is cut off and tackled to the ground and he lands with a resounding ‘oof’

“Hello who are you? My name is Pinkie Pie. What's your name? Oh what's with that mask and cloak? Are you an alien or from a different dimension? Do you like partying? Also what kind of cake do you like? Also where are you from? And what do you do? Also” Zeus looks up to see the girl on top of him she has pink skin, and her hair was pink as well, she wore a white shirt with yellow balloons on it. Her yes seem to be a light blue color.

“Pinkie dear, you need to get off of him right now! And apologize to the poor boy. I think you should give our friend time to answer your questions before you ask them all at once, and before you tackle him to the ground. You might need to repeat yourself what have I been telling you?”

“Hahaha oh don't worry about that Rarity. I understood her and I can answer some of her questions. Also I can take a hit it’s just that she took my by surprise with that. Now what would be nice is if you could get off of me. I’d rather not lie in the grass all morning.”

“Oh okay sorry about that. Hehe.” she said with a sheepish grin on her face. “I just saw a new friend and I guess I over reacted a bit.” Her voice was something that Zeus could not place it sounded a bit like the girl tried to put fun in her speech.

“Wait how did you understand her? I can barely understand her at the best of times. Also are you sure you're okay? That was quite the hit you took their.”

“I would like to know that as well. If you're okay with saying it that is.” Fluttershy said looking down at the ground.

“Hey now what have I said about asking me questions? It's fine to ask away I just can't answer all of them.” Zeus said lifting Fluttershy's chin with a single finger. “Okay my dear?”

“Mhmm I think so.”

“Awww isn't that sweet the big bad mystery boy is falling for the shy secretive girl.” Said Rainbow appearing out of nowhere with another girl that is unmistakable country with the cowgirl hat and boots.

“W-what n-no I'm not I'm just fine with us being friends.” Zeus stuttered out. Glad for the mask hiding his blush again.

“Hey now I'm just messing with ya.” She then suddenly lowers her voice to a whisper and said to Zeus. “Although I wouldn't mind if you did. She seems to have grown attached to you very quickly in a short amount of time.”

“Now look here you. I can't do that I have way too many other things to worry about at this moment.” Zeus whispered back with some venom in his voice.

“Whoa okay dude just chill.” Rainbow replied backing away slightly. “Well anyways girls and guy this is my new friend. Her name is Applejack.”

“Howdy there partners. I hope we can all get along.” She said with a country accent. This girl had on a white button up shirt. Looked like something you’d be able to wear casually and wear working around a farm. She also had on a brown stetson cowboy hat, her hair was blonde, and her eyes are a emerald color. Her skin is a light shade of orange. She also wore casual jeans.

“Hmm yes. Well in case any of you didn't notice it's time for us to get to class there will be time for. Nice and warm meetings latter. Cause I for one will not be late.” Zeus suddenly stormed off going to class but then stopped before he went inside and looked at Fluttershy saying “Are you coming? If you want to stay here it's fine with me.”

“Oh uh I-I think I'll stay here with my new friends you can go ahead and head to class .Zeus simply nodded and went to class.

“What did you say to him Rainbow?” Rarity said pointing accusingly at her.

“Wh-what I-I didn’t say anything to him.” Rainbow looked around at the girls seeing skepticism on their faces. “What? It’s the truth I was just messing with him.”

“Well maybe he doesn't like being messed with. Did you think about that?” Pinke said getting right in Rainbow’s face.

“Look I didn’t do anything!” Rainbow practically yelled.

“I don’t know Rainbow why else would he storm off like that? I don’t think it was me arrivin hear that made him mad.”

“Well you don’t know that.” Then they all heard soft crying coming from behind them. They looked over to see Fluttershy crying over Zeus storming off.

“Hey now Fluttershy, Darling what’s wrong?” Rarity said trying to console her.

“W-why w-would h-he storm off? Was i-it's s-something I-I d-did?”

“Hush now Fluttershy. I doubt he’d do anything to hurt you. I’m sure it wasn’t your fault. Is that right Rainbow?” Rarity said glaring at Rainbow.

“Yeah it was probably me that did it Flutters, don’t worry about it.”

“Well someone has to go talk to him. He doesn’t need to be feeling all down when we could all be having fun now that we’re all friends.” Pinke said with a smile at the end.

“I can go darling, I have him for first class.”

“Ah can go to, ah’m in the same class as yall”

“Oh are you darling? I had no idea.”

“Hello? Weren’t you guys gonna talk to Zeus and cheer him up?” Rainbow said trying to get them to hurry along.

“Wait what about Fluttershy? She can’t possibly go to class alone like this.” Rarity said with a concerned look on her face.

“I got this I used to walk to class with her all the time.” Rainbow said proudly.

“You think you can make it to her class and still get to yours? No offense darling I’m sure you're fast but I don’t think you’re that fast.”

“I can take her guys I’m in the same class as her. Duh.” Said Pinke

“Oh well okay then I guess it’s a plan. You two go cheer up our guy friend, Pinkie can go to class with Flutters.” Rainbow said looking like she’s trying to take charge.

“Oh okay then.” Fluttershy said quietly.

“Hey now Fluttershy turn that frown upside down. It’s not your fault. Isn’t that right Dashie?” Pinkie said looking over at Rainbow

“Jeez guys I say one thing to the guy and you keep harping on me. Chill out.”

“It’s different darling when the guy storms off like that.”

“Uh Rarity we need to get goin if we are gonna talk to Zeus.” Applejack interjects reminding them of the task they need to do.

“Oh you're right darling. Lets hurry up.” They go off into school to go and get their stuff and head to class to talk to Zeus.

‘Well not that I'm surprised that would happen but…. oh well I have other matters to do I can not let these girl get in the way of my studies.’ Zeus thought bitterly.

‘Zeus do you hear yourself? You sound so spiteful right now. You didn't need to snap at them.’ Blue said trying to calm him down

‘Look Blue I have to get to class. I can afford to be late in the slightest.’

‘Ugh you are being such a bore. Seriously you throw off not one but five attractive girls just cause you think you'll be late to class even though with how fast you walk?’

‘Red I did not ask your opinion. Besides no matter how much I get attracted to one of these girls I can't pursue a relationship with them.’ Zeus snaps back at them with some anger.

‘Ugh this again we've been over this Zeus you are allowed to date. Only the old Jedi order enforced you not being in a relationship.’ Blue tried to reason

‘My master has told me that if I do pursue a relationship then he'd have me work even harder in my training Blue and I don't know about you but I'd rather not be pushed more. When some of them I just met or have to much to deal with when it comes to some of them.’

‘Well yes while you think about that you might want to know that you just passed your class.’

“What?” Zeus looked around noticing that he has in fact passed his class. “Gah you guys are supposed to tell me this stuff before hand or not talk to me at all in school!”

“Zeus darling what's the matter?”

“Huh? Oh it's you Rarity. In a sec I gotta get to the class.”

“Well then we can talk there. Remember we have the same class?”

“Ah yes I do. Which is why I said just a sec so that we may talk in the class.”

“Hey now there’s no need to snap at me. I was just giving a friendly reminder darling.”

“Yes I know. I mean I’m sorry, it's just that well I mean. Ugh just don’t worry about it. What is it that you want to talk about?” Zeus said as they both take their seat in class. With Zeus sitting in the back row and Rarity in front of him.

“Well I was wondering why you stormed off? You made Fluttershy quite upset, and everyone else was wondering why you got into a foul mood. You were just fine when you arrived.”

“Well I didn’t mean to seem angry I uh just had some stuff on my mind and I guess I wasn’t paying attention.”

“Well what were you thinking about? Was it something that Rainbow had said to you? If it was, we can get her to apologize.”

“Oh please it’ll take a lot more than one small comment to make me sad or upset.” In response to this Rarity just raises one eyebrow in a skeptical manner. “Well okay it might have somewhat to do with what she said.”

“Well what did she say I’m here for you.”

“Really you're gonna try and cheer me up? Me a guy who you know by now how he can act.”

“Of course darling. I am your friend after all.”

“But-”

“No buts. Tell me what’s wrong if you don’t then I can't help you.”

“No offense, but who said I need your help. I’ve been by myself for years now. I’m pretty sure I can handle this on my own.”

“Well why that may be true. It’s always better to tell your problems to your friends. It’s what they are there for. To help you out and make you feel better. Now why don't you tell me what’s wrong so I can help.”

“Hmmm, I guess so. Heh the only person that’s ever managed to out wit me was my father, and he was the one who gave me my wit.”

“Well I am told that I can outsmart most boy’s. Uh no offense to you of course darling.”

“Heh none taken Rarity. So you wanted to know what’s wrong with me?” She nodded her head eagerly. In that moment Zeus saw that she truly wanted to help him and make him feel better. ‘She truly is a very generous person. Wanting to listen to my problem.’ “ Well as you know it does have something to deal with Rainbow said.”

“Is it when she said you and Fluttershy looked like a couple?”

“Well yes that had something to do with it.”

“Ah ha I knew it. You must feel like you're in a very awkward position , Because you don’t want to deny Fluttershy in case you hurt her feelings, and you just want to be friends, and-”

“Why don’t we give the guy time to respond huh Rarity?” Said a voice that Zeus remembers. That voice… Zeus looked up and saw the familiar orange skin of the girl he had met outside. “Howdy. Ah don’t think we got time to introduce ourselves did we? My name is Applejack, and your’s?”

“Why my name is Zeus. A pleasure to meet you.” Zeus held out a hand and Applejack reached out and shook it.

“Ah didn’t think so at first. Thought it was me showing up tha put ya off.” She said as she takes the seat to the left of him.

“No it was-”

“Don’t worry I herd you and Rarity talking. So what was it about what Rainbow said that made you upset. Do I need to knock some sense into her?”

“Now, now darling like you said why don’t we let him talk?”

“Look just don't worry about it okay girls? It's not something that needs to be worried about right now. There are many other things that I have to worry about right now.”

“Like what darling? If it’s something to deal with school-”

“No.” Zeus said aggressively then realizing his mistake at seeing the two girls shocked faces says. “What I mean is that no you can’t help me with what I have to do. The burden falls to my father and I, and he has very specifically stated that I am not allowed to tell anyone what he and I do. Maybe one day I can tell you guys the truth but now is not the time.”

“Huh. Well ah can respect that sugarcube. Just be careful with how many secrets ya keep. It can lead to a very dangerous and secluded life. Somethin that ah’m sure Rarity and ah don want happen to ya.”

“Yes indeed darling. Just know that we are hear for you. Although I think you owe Fluttershy an apology.”

“What for?”

“Why for storming off. When you did she was quite upset about it.”

“Yeah she was. Almost in tears. Poor girl thought it was somethin she did.”

“Oh god I-I d-didn’t mean for that to happen. Oh god she must think I’m just a big jerk now, and-”

“Calm down darling. Just relax and go apologize to her.”

“Now, now students calm down. It’s time to get on with class.” said the teacher Mr. Whooves. “There now that the talking has died down. I'd like to introduce you guys to a new student. Her name is Sunset Shimmer.” And in walks an orange skin girl. Her hair seems red with yellow streaks or maybe it's the other way around. Her clothes consisted of a punk looking jacket with a shirt with what looks like a setting sun. She was also wearing a skirt that had the same colors as her hair.

“Hello everyone. I’m Sunset Shimmer just in case you didn’t hear the teacher.” She chuckled to which only a handful of student do as well. I hope we can all be good friends.” She said cheerfully. The teacher looks around for a spot to put Sunset then sees a seat open to Zeus’s right.

“Zeus” He called out. “Does anyone sit to your right?”

Zeus looked up then to his right and saw an empty seat and he already knew what was going to happen. “No sir I don’t believe any one sits here.”

“Ah good well Sunset you can sit there. If you have any questions feel free to ask Zeus. He may look scary but he’s fine. He’s one of the smartest kids in our school.”

“Oh really now?” Sunset said with a slightly devious grin on her face. “Well I just may ask for his help.” Sunset went and took her seat next to Zeus. When she does the teacher starts his lesson, about mathematics. Then he said that they have a group activity to do and that they can’t work in groups more than four, and before anyone else can say other wise Applejack, Rarity, Zeus, and Sunset all got in a group and work together.

“So are you really the smartest kid in the school?” Sunset said to Zeus.

“Well I’m the smartest in the grade. I don’t believe I deserve as much praise as to be called the smartest in the school.”

“Nonsense darling, I’ve seen some of your test scores and I must say you certainly deserve to be called the smartest in our grade.”

“Why thank you Rarity, praise coming from you, it flatters me so.”

“Careful now sugarcube. Don wanna be makin Fluttershy get jealous now huh?” Applejack said teasingly.

“Who’s Fluttershy?” Said Sunset innocently. “Is she like your girlfriend or something?”

Zeus growled at her, and all of the girls looked at him in shock.

“Zeus! Don’t be rude now. Sorry about his behavior he is quite touchy when it comes to that subject.” Rarity said.

“So what, does he like her or something?”

“Nah he’s just really good friends with her.” Applejack said shrugging it off.

“It seems like it's more than that if he would be touchy about it.”

‘That cheerful nature, I’m not buying that for one minute. She’s up to something. No new kid would act like that unless that’s the truth.’

‘I most agree Zeus. It is most suspicious, I wouldn’t think any new girl would act like that.’ Blue said with skepticism.

‘Well wow we actually agree on the character of a person Blue. Why well done indeed.’ Red said with a chuckle at the end. ‘But in all do seriousness she is definitely suspicious.’

“Uh hello? Anyone in there?” Sunset said waving her hand in front of his face.

“Huh wha?” Zeus said shaking his head. “Heh sorry about that. It’s sometimes hard for me to keep paying attention.”

“Uh okay then. Well are you gonna answer me? Or are you just gonna stare off into space?”

“ Uh what did you say?”

Applejack and Rarity just rolled their eyes and laughed a bit. Sunset sighed in impatience. “Why do you get so touchy when people think you and Fluttershy are an item? Duh.”

“Look that’s none of your business. Okay? Now I suggest if you want to stay on my good side you stop asking such questions. For we did just meet, and we do have this assignment to finish.”

“Well if you're as smart as the teacher says you are then let me see it. Go ahead and do the work.” Sunset said with a smirk.

“Well I accept that challenge. Alright here we go.” Zeus said then popped his neck. Then about five minutes the work is completed with work shown. “Well take that new girl, That’ll teach you to try and talk me down.”

“I-I don't believe it. I really don’t. How-”

“Darling I suggest to not question such things and take them as they are. He finished the work, mind you now we have to do it ourselves.”

“Ah’ll go an turn it in.” Applejack said standing up to take the paper.

“Hold it.” Zeus said holding up his hand. “You guys gotta put your name on the paper else you won’t get credit.”

“But, darling I couldn’t possible have us take credit for something you did yourself.”

“Ah agree with Rarity here, we didn’t do the work. Why would ya let us just hitch a ride, so to speak.”

“Well while you girls can do that I for one am taking my opportunity and putting my name down.” Sunset said with a sense of smugness.

Zeus just frowned at that, but of course it’s hidden by his mask. “Well go ahead girls I really don’t mind.”

“But-”

“Nope don't want to hear it. I did the work for us it wasn't hard. As you guys saw.”

“Darling while it would be nice to put our names down, how would we learn what was taught to us today?”

“Easy. If you need help come to me. I'm usually free. Except when I'm home.”

“What do you do when you get home?” Sunset said. Behind Zeus, Rarity and Applejack were shaking their heads trying to get her to be quiet while she said that. Zeus tensed up for a moment before asking.

“What did you say now?”

“I was asking-” She quickly got interrupted by the teacher getting in front of the room.

“Okay class we only have a few minutes left of class make sure you turn in your assignment today or you won't get credit also, for homework do page 516 questions 5-8. Should be easy enough.” He returned to his seat waiting for the class to turn in their work.

“Okay look girls just put your names down. If you need help then text me and I'll help you if I can. Of course you need my number for that so hear. Fluttershy and Rainbow already have it don’t see why you girls can’t.” Zeus took a piece of paper and rips it up and wrote his number down twice and handed them to Applejack and Rarity.

“Okay fine ya win this round. Hurry up an write your name Rarity. Also are ya sure about given me ya number? We did just meet.” Applejack said quickly writing her name down. Rarity quickly followed and put her name down.

“It’s fine Applejack, these girls have been rubbing off on me a bit just like how I am with them and if it’s one thing I’ve gotten it’s that I need to learn how to trust more people and you seem nice enough.”

“Alright then ah’ll go and take this in then and thanks for trustin me. Ah’ll tell ya right now ah will always be honest with ya. It’s just what ah do.”

“Alright thanks to hear.”

“Wait hey now where's mine?” Sunset said indignantly. “Shouldn't I get your number so that I can learn this if I need to learn this?”

Zeus chuckled then said in a whisper down to her. “Look don't think your whole happy cheerful attitude is gonna make me like you. Your up to something and I know it. So watch yourself I'm onto you. And if you do anything to hurt these girls I’ll deal with you myself.”

Sunset looked at him with a smirk on her face. “I’d like to see you try.” she replied in a whisper back to him.

Just as Zeus was about to say something the bell went off signaling the start of the next class. As everyone was gathering their stuff to leave Zeus went to Rarity and Applejack and said. “I don’t trust that new girl guys. She seems suspicious I mean if you think about it a new girl just happens to come here out of nowhere. I mean we don’t even know where she’s from.” They walked out of the classroom continuing the discussion.

“Now darling, why would she do something bad?”

“I never said she was going to do something bad, I just said that she looks suspicious that’s all.”

“Well ya might wanna think about that later. Don ya have to get to gym?”

“Ugh you're right. I just wished I didn’t have to take it. Alright I’ll see you girls later, okay?” Zeus said as he ran off to go to gym class.

“Most certainly darling.” Rarity called out as Zeus took off. “I must say that guy can move can’t he Applejack?”

“Yeah he can but enough admiring the guy we need to get to class.”

“Oh you're right. We'll talk later won’t we?”

“Yep, see ya at lunch.”

A Friendly Game

As Zeus rushed down the hallway, he couldn’t help but think about that new girl and what she might be up to. ‘I will find out what she’s up to and I will stop her.’ Suddenly Zeus’s lack of attention caused him to run straight into someone. They both fell down and Zeus looked at the person to see who it was. It turned out to be some girl he had never met before. She wore these magenta colored goggles. Her skin looked to be just a shade darker than Rarity’s but not by much, Her hair was also blue with white streaks. She wore blue headphones, and Zeus could see that in his blind rush he had hit her so hard they came off, and from where Zeus was he sort of heard the music from where he was. ‘My god how loud is that girl’s music? She must be practically def. Also what’s up with this school and having mostly girls around here anyways. Jeez.’

Then Zeus said out loud. “I’m terribly sorry about that I didn’t pay attention to where I was going.” He then realized that she didn’t hear him and that she was just looking at him. With what he assumed was a blank expression. “Uh well, I’ll just be on my way want a hand?” He said as he put out his hand for her to take. She just looked at him for a minute before she took his hand and got up. “So I guess I’ll see ya around. Gotta get to class and such. Oh and my name is Zeus by the way.” Just as he was about to start heading to class again he heard.

“Vinyl.”

“What?” He turned around slightly confused.

“My name it’s Vinyl. Nice to met ya Zeus.” She said sticking her hand out.

Zeus chuckled then extended his hand and shook hers.“Well it’s nice to met you to Vinyl, but if you'll excuse me I gotta get to class. So I’ll see ya around then?”

“Yep see ya dude.” Then both of them went their own ways and went to class. Zeus managed to get to class a few minutes before the late bell rang, so he just went into the gym to wait for everyone else to come out of the changing room.

‘Ha advantages of having special permission to wear this cloak all day is that I don’t have to change at all.’

“Sup Zeus how’s it going for ya kid?” Said Coach Spitfire. Zeus looked up and saw her standing over him with a small grin on her face.

“I’m doing fine Coach Spitfire. I assume it’s the same for you?”

“Meh same old same old.” She said while she sat down next to Zeus. “You ready for today’s class? I’ve got quite a treat for you guys.”

“Oh and what would that be?”

“Oh just a nice game of dodgeball.” Spitfire said with a bit of a sinister grin on her face.

Zeus just chuckled and shook his head. “You must love your job don’t you?”

“You bet I do.”

“HEY ZEUS!” Zeus looked over and saw Rainbow Dash rushing over to him. “Hey Zeus I’ve been looking for you.”

“Oh what for?” Zeus replied.

“Why to apologize of course. Duh, for being one the smartest kids in our grade your kinda slow sometimes.”

Zeus chuckled then said. “Alright fine what did you want to apologize for?”

“For making you angry this morning. I’m sorry for what I said. I didn’t know it would piss you off.” Rainbow said this and looked down with a sad look on her face.

‘Wow even Rainbow can get down. It just must take a lot for it to happen.’

‘It seems one of the only things that could get her down is if she seems not loyal to a friend.’

‘You know what Blue? That makes sense.’

“Okay Rainbow I forgive you. It’s alright now.”

“Awesome!” She said giving Zeus a hug.

Zeus tensed up and said “Uh what are you doing?”

Rainbow quickly let go realising what she did.“Oh uh, I was just, uh, giving you a hug?”

“Awww isn’t that sweet, two of the most athletic kids in the school are hugging. Next thing you know you guys will be holding hands or something.” Spitfire said making the pair jump.

“Oh uh Coach Spitfire I uh forgot you were here.” Rainbow stuttered out.

“Oh relax Rainbow I’m just teasing you. So you ready for a friendly competition today? Now if you guys will excuse me I’ve got to go and check on the others.” She then went to the front of the gym to hurry up the other kids.

“Heh Rainbow doesn’t know the meaning of a “friendly” competition.” Zeus said in a slight undertone.

“Hey! I do know what friendly competition is thank you very much Zeus.” She then saw Zeus laughing.

“Oh Rainbow you're too gullible.”

“Oh yeah? Well smart guy, did you find Fluttershy and walk with her to class like you promised?”

Zeus’s eyes widened when he realized that he had completely forgot to go and walk her to her next class.

“I’ll take it by you silence that the answer is no? I mean I’m just guessing here, because I can’t see your face.”

“Oh uh well you see what had happened was that I uh…”

“Oh come on just say it. Just say you forgot. I promise I won't judge you for it, well maybe I won't.”

“Hey now you two get in your spots. We have a class to get started!” Called Spitfire from the doors of the gym.

“Okay Coach.” Rainbow called back. “You are so going down dude, I’m gonna school you in dodgeball.” She said with a knowing smirk on her face.

“Well that is provided, of course we are on the opposite teams. And not on the same team.”

“Well come on the odds of that happening are-”

“Are very high considering that you and I are two of the most athletic people in the class.”

“Well, I’ll just be sure that when I’m a team captain to not pick you.”

“Hey now aren’t you getting a bit ahead of yourself there? You mean if you get team captain.”

“Nope I meant when. I mean come on, I’m awesome why wouldn’t I be?”

“I could think of a few reasons.” Zeus mumbled.

“What was that?”

“Oh nothing.” Zeus said looking away with a smirk. That of course went unnoticed by Rainbow.

“It didn’t sound like nothing.”

“Hey now you two love birds, stop talking so I can tell the class what we're doing.” Spitfire said from the front of the gym

Rainbow gets a big blush on her face, while the entire class laughs at them. Zeus just crossed his arms and shrugged uncaringly.

“Good now that I have your guy’s attention. We are gonna do a nice good old fashioned game of dodgeball.” Some people in the class groaned at the thought of having a red ball heading for their face. The others just cheered with many of them raising their hands saying they want to be team captain. While Zeus just nodded his head.

“Okay okay calm down now, I have already chosen the team captains, one shall be Rainbow Dash.” She got up with a big yeah, and walked to the front of the class. She looked at Zeus with a face that said ‘I told you so’. Zeus just shook his head and chuckled.

“Okay now the second team captain will be, Zeus.” Zeus stood there for a second in shock, while the rest of the class was waiting for him to get to the front. “Well? What are you waiting for? Come on dude get up here.” Spitfire called out to him, motioning her arm to get him to come on. Zeus walked up to the front still slightly shocked that he got team captain. While yes he is one of the best athletes in the school, he still doesn't get team captain. He much more prefered to just sit back and let the leader make decisions. He didn’t like being the leader of a group or be in charge. The way he saw it is that if something went wrong they’d blame the man in charge. For he has had experience in that regard from when he was younger.

“Okay now that Zeus has finally joined us up here it’s time to pick the teams. Do you guys care who gets first pick?”

“Nah.” Rainbow said, and Zeus shook his head.

“Okay Zeus you can get first pick. Since this is your first time being a team captain.” Zeus looked at all the kids in his class. He started thinking of a bunch of strategies and who it would require and who Rainbow wouldn’t take from him. Zeus pointed and called out a rather skinny boy to join his team. He was dark skinned and his hair was in a low fro he didn’t look that athletic. Everyone just stared in shock. Including the boy, seeing how he was always one of the last people to be pick, but he quickly gets up and joined Zeus by his side.

“Okay then, your turn Rainbow.” Spitfire said with a slightly confused look on her face. Rainbow looked at Zeus skeptically wondering what he’s up to, she then shrugs it off choosing to take the opportunity to pick more athletic people in the class. It continues that way for a while, them picking their team members. A few times Zeus did the same thing as he did at the beginning and picked some of the weaker kids.

“Okay now that’s everybody, everyone get to your sides and you have a few minutes to talk strategy.”

Rainbow’s team walked to their side all confident that they are going to win, considering who Zeus picked to be on his team. Then they saw Zeus walking all confident that he would win. Confusing many of them on Rainbow’s team. How could he walk so confidently with who he’s chosen to be on his team? When Zeus and his team got to their side he quickly started talking to them.

“Okay guys, I have a masterful plan here and just to be sure, who here can throw really well?” A decent amount of the kids raised their hands including the rather skinny kid. “Okay now how many of you can catch well?” Again another decent amount raised their hands. “Okay perfect now those that didn’t raise your hands, can you guys dodge well?” They either nodded their heads or shrugged as in a sort of. “Okay good enough you guys that can throw well stay here. Those that can catch stay a decent amount of space in front of them. You guys that can dodge will be going up front with me.”

“Wait what’s the plan here? All we know is where to stand that doesn't tell us to much.” Said a rather short kid. His hair was short and cut neatly. He was light skinned and his hair was a dark brown color.

“Hey runt who asked you to question the captain? What he says goes got?” Said a rather, tall kid. He was light skinned as well and his hair was neat like and was a light brown color.

“Hmm may I ask what’s your name?” Zeus said to the big kid.

“My name is Michael.” He said sticking his chest out.

“Well Michael thank you for saying that but this kid does make a fair point. What is your name kid?”

“The name is Matthew, but you can call me Mat for short.”

“Well Mat, the answer to your question is this, those that can catch will obviously catch the balls, Then they will toss them to the kids that can throw, you will then move aside so that they can unleash a barrage.”

“What about you then?” Said another kid he was tall and rather skinny. His skin was kinda pale. He was wearing glasses and his hair was neat as well and it was a brownish color.

“Ah yes forgot about that one didn’t I? Well Me and the rest of those that can dodge will be upfront doing exactly that, and, unless you absolutely have to, do not break formation. Also what’s your name?”

“My name is Jonathan, but most people just call me John.”

“Ah well pleasure to meet you. So you guys ready?” They all gave a ‘Yeah’ in response. “Okay now let's do this guys, and put Rainbow Dash in her place.” Zeus walked to the center of the court, as did Rainbow.

“Okay now, play nice and fair. Team captains shake hands.” They both promptly shook hands and stepped back a little. Rainbow and her team all got ready to make a huge rush to the center. Where as Zeus’s team got into their places and stood there waiting. Zeus stood up front with his hands crossed behind his back, standing up straight.

“Okay now get ready.” Everyone but Zeus tensed up, he just stood there all calm, wating. “And… GO!” Spitfire blew her whistle, and instantly Rainbow ran off to get the first ball she could in the center along with the rest of her team. When they had all got all of the balls that were laid out they jumped back thinking that the enemy team had grabbed one maybe two, when they all looked real quick what they saw confused them. Zeus’s team had not moved an inch. In fact even he was just standing there waiting for them.

Rainbow started laughing really hard. When she had finally caught a breath she said. “So this is your master plan Zeus? For all your brains and such you decide to just stand there and let the enemy team get all of the balls?”

Zeus walked up, making himself a clear target for the enemy team. “Well if you're so confident Rainbow why don’t you go ahead and hit me?” Zeus said holding out his arms. “Come on I’m wide open.”

Rainbow just stood there dumbfounded that Zeus would just do that, but she quickly shook it off and went in for the kill.

“Okay then you asked for this.” She then threw the ball with all of her might, and Zeus just stood there patiently. Then at what seemed the last moment Zeus quickly turned his upper body to the left really quick. The ball went harmlessly past him, right into the hands of another kid who caught the ball.

Spitfire blew her whistle and said. “Rainbow you're out.” Everyone else just stood there shocked that one of their best players got out so quickly and easily.

Before she walks off, she said to her team. “Come on guys don’t just stand there take him out.” Her team shook their heads and prepared to throw all of their remaining balls right at Zeus.

Zeus quickly looked back and commanded. “ Back up quick, be prepared for the balls when they miss.” Zeus got down into a more ready stance. Then the team threw all of their balls right at him which was about five. Zeus quickly ducked to avoid the first one, then rolled to the left to avoid the second, then leaned back onto the ground to avoid the third, then he jumped up to quickly recover and jumped to the right to avoid the fourth. The fifth ball missed him completely. They all went right into the hands of the people that Zeus had catching. Spitfire uses her whistle pointing to five people and pointing them off the court. Everyone else is in shock at how fast he moved to avoid all of those dodgeballs. Zeus just dusted himself off and looked at his team and said.

“Okay hand them back now.” His catchers tossed them back to his throwers. “Okay ready.” They all get in a stance to get ready. “Aim.” They all aimed for their targets. “Fire!” Zeus said pointing his hand at the enemy team. They all threw to the enemy team some of them miss others get stopped in their tracks, but like two hit their target and got two people out. The rest of the game carries on like that. Except the enemy team started learning Zeus’s strategy and found a way around it. Eventually it all came down to just Zeus. He quickly looked around and see’s that he’s all on his own. Then he see’s the team and see’s five people remaining. One of them being Rainbow.

“Okay smart guy lets see how you do when you don’t have your army behind you. Get him guys.” She said throwing her ball at Zeus along with four other balls. Zeus then closed his eyes and concentrates exhales slowly and then opens his eyes with a snap. He grabbed the first ball that came at him, deflects the second, dodges the third and fourth by rolling and flipping, he then quickly throws the ball at the enemy before they can recover. Knocking out his third target in the span of a minute. Rainbow just quickly looked around and saw three of her team walk off grumbling.

“Holy crap dude. How did you do that?”

“I don't reveal my tricks Rainbow now why don’t we finish this?” Zeus said dusting himself off and trying to ease the muscle tension in his wrist.He then turns around and goes for the two balls that he had dodged before, as he did he heard a whistling coming he turned around to see a ball coming right for his face.

‘Shit, if I don’t use some help here then I’m out.’

Then like on its own accord Zeus’s body moved with inhuman speed and dodges the ball in the nick of time.

“What the? How on Earth did you avoid that you should be out!” Rainbow said in frustration. “Coach, come on back me up on this!”

“I-I don’t know Rainbow. Technically he didn't get out, he avoided the ball. I don’t know how though.”

‘You can thank me later Zeus.’ Red said smugly.

“I- I honestly don’t know what happened Coach I swear.”

“So does that mean you forfeit?” Rainbow said.

“What? No I still avoided the ball, so technically I’m still in, and I say you are out.”

“What? But you haven’t-” Just then a ball hit Rainbow straight in the gut. “Owwww.” The other guy just looked at Rainbow then at Zeus and said “I surrender.”

“Good choice.” Zeus said with a smirk.

“Okay class that’s it for today go and change.” Spitfire said blowing her whistle. “Obviously Zeus’s team won.”

As everyone went to change Zeus walks up to Rainbow holding out a hand and asked. “You okay Rainbow?” She looked up at Zeus then grabbed his hand and pulls herself up.

“Yeah I’ll be fine, awsome game and strategy by the way. Also where did you learn how to dodge like that dude?”

“Well good game to you Rainbow you. As to where I learned how to dodge… that’s a private matter.”

“Oh okay then. Well I’ll see you in a bit, gotta change.”

“Ah well see ya then Rainbow.” Zeus gave a little wave before turning around and saw a boy standing behind him. “Uh can I help you?” Zeus then recognized the boy. He had curly hair his hair was a darkish brown color and was wearing glasses. He even had the start of a small beard growing. He also was quite tall for his age. “Ah you're the one who got Rainbow out first right?”

He just looked off into space for a few more minutes, he then realized Zeus had spoken to him, he gave a shake of his head and said. “Huh? Oh uh sorry what did you say?”

Zeus gave a small sigh and said again.”You're the guy who got Rainbow out first right?”

“Oh uh yeah, I did, but it was thanks to your strategy that it happened.”

“Yes well we all played our own parts. I just made the plan, you're the one who executed your part well. What's your name by the way?”

“The name is Silver, nice to meet you Zeus.” He held out his for a shake. To which Zeus accepts.

“Same to you Silver.” Then Zeus heard someone from behind him say.

“Sup dude?” Zeus turns around to see the skinny kid from before.

“Ah yes and your name is?”

“My name is Toon master because I love cartoons.”

Silver snickered “Oh please ‘Toon Master’. He’s real name is Kyle, Zeus.”

Zeus let out a laugh. “Oh okay then Toon.”

Kyle shot Silver a dirty look. “Well anyways thanks for picking me first today. Your strategy was amazing.”

“Well I wouldn’t give all credit to me.”

“Nonsense.” Said another voice coming up from behind. Zeus turned around and saw it’s Michael with Mat and John. “You were the one in charge and had us do that absolutely fantastic strategy.” Michael continued.

“Yes I do agree thanks for that.” John said.

“Dude you're dodging skill were amazing I’ve never seen anyone move that fast.” Matt said with some admiration in his voice

“Yes well thank you my little friend.” Zeus said patting his head. Then Zeus turned around and saw Rainbow with two guys beside her.

“Hey Zeus just thought you’d like to meet some of my friends that were on my team. They were the best on my team” She points to the guy on her right who was pretty tall and had very smooth looking hair. He had light skin his hair was a very light brown color. “That’s Chris. He’s the guy who surrendered to you after you got me out.” She points to the other guy who looks rather short but looks really fast. He was also dark skinned like Kyle but his hair was shorter. “And that’s EJ. He’s pretty cool. He’s also another guy you got out in the end you caught his ball if I’m right.”

“Oh and I’m not cool?” Chris said looking slightly offended.

“Oh relax Chris, you're cool too. It’s just that EJ is cooler.”

EJ walks over to Zeus and said. “Sup dude nice game. And yes, You caught the ball I threw and got me out.” He puts his hand up in a high five. To which Zeus delivers, they then shook hands.

“So this is that master planner that beat us huh?” Chris said offering his hand out to Zeus to shake which Zeus does.

“Yep. He’s pretty good actually.” Rainbow replied.

“Although I would like to know why you aren’t on any sports team?” EJ inquired

“I just have way too much other stuff to worry about for that.”

“Ah well I’ll see ya around man.” EJ and Chris walk over to where Silver, Michael, John, Mat, and Terriel are talking.

“Nice guy’s aren’t they Zeus? Even if they seem just a bit normal.”

“I wouldn’t count on that Rainbow. For all we know these guys could be what helps save the world in the future.”

Rainbow started at Zeus for a few seconds before replying. “Uh, yeah uh maybe?”

“Oh don’t worry about it Rainbow. I could just be saying nonsense.” Zeus said ribbing Rainbow a bit. “Look we gotta get to lunch, and I gotta find Fluttershy.”

“What for dude?”

“To tell her that I’m really sorry for upsetting her and that I’m really sorry for forgetting to walk her to her class, and that I hope she forgives me.”

“Wow you must really care for her don’t you?”

“Yeah I guess I do.”

“You must like her then right.” Said Rainbow teasingly

“Rainbow come on now, I need to find her.”

“I don’t think you’ll need to Zeus.”

“Oh and why do you say that?”

“Because she’s right here.” Rainbow said. Zeus felt hands hug him from behind. He turned around and saw Fluttershy hugging him pretty close. Zeus just stood there not knowing exactly what to do.

“What are you waiting for man? Hug her back.” Rainbow said encouragingly.

“Oh uh okay then, I’ve just never hugged anyone before.” Zeus then put his arms up and hugged her back.

Then Rainbow started laughing causing Zeus to tense up and let go. Fluttershy also let go as well. Suddenly they both hear a voice come out and say. “Rainbow! Why’d you do that? You ruined a very good moment for them.” They all turned around to see Rarity standing there looking at Rainbow with her hands on her hips. Applejack was also there standing next to Rarity looking at Rainbow with her arms crossed.

Rainbow just stood there looking rather sheepish.

Leaving Rainbow to get fussed at by Rarity and Applejack. Fluttershy then looked up at Zeus and said. “I forgive you Zeus. It’s fine now. Not that I was ever mad at you, I just got confused”

After she said that Zeus seemed to relax a lot then said. “Thanks Fluttershy. I did get worried about that for a moment, now let's step in before those two do something they might regret.”

Fluttershy just giggled and nodded her head.

‘Awwww Zeus is your heart racing?’ Blue said in a mocking voice.

‘Shut it you. I’m just fine.’

‘You know what Blue? I think his heart is racing. It couldn't have anything to deal with Fluttershy could it?’

‘I don’t think so Red it could one of the others I mean he does keep refusing to admit that he has feelings for Fluttershy so it could be one of the others.’

‘Ah yes you may be right about that.’

‘Okay you two stop it. Your lucky I'm in a good mood right now.’

‘Yeah from having Fluttershy accept for apology maybe or….’

That’s it you two be quiet. Zeus commanded this time. They being in his head had no choice but to obey and go silent at least for the time.

“Alright now you two leave her alone.” Zeus said after having a nice conversation in his head.

“But darling she ruined what was supposed to be a very close moment between you two.”

“It’s fine Rarity Fluttershy and I have made up now.”

“Oh have you guys?” They both just nodded to which Rarity gave a squee and said. “See darling I knew that you would have nothing to worry about.”

“That’s great and everything Rarity but I’m pretty sure we’d like to get to lunch now eh? Or at the least you girls would like to.” Zeus said looking around at the girls in front of him.

As the group started to head to the lunchroom Zeus couldn't help but think. Hmmm those guys we met. It can’t be just coincidence that we met them. If it’s one thing I learned from my experiences is that everything happens for a reason. Even the bad things.

‘Well Zeus if it makes you feel any better I could definitely sense duel spirits being around them. One for each of them.’ Red said

‘Yes I sensed it as well Red. Either they don’t know about their spirits, or they know about them and ignore them, or they know about them and don’t want to say anything about it.’ Blue added

‘Then that would beg the question or well two of them. One being that how in the hell are spirits are here, and if they actually play the game.’ Zeus wondered

‘The second one is easy to find out and that’s just to simply ask. As for the first one we can only speculate on this one.’
Red said

‘Hmmm well I can’t really say for sure either. But I’m just gonna assume that when we came to this world through the portal from the old yugioh world that maybe some other friends came with us. That or maybe this world has it’s own Yu-Gi-Oh magic source. I don’t know. Maybe your father does.’ said Blue

‘Well we’re gonna just have to wait and see aren’t we huh?’ Zeus simply said.

“Zeus? You there?”

Zeus shakes his head saw that Fluttershy was looking at him looking slightly concerned and said. “Huh wha?”

She giggled seeing him get startled. “I asked if you're there, did you talk to your friends in your head again?”

The other girls turned around when they heard that and Rarity said. “Darling,what did you say?”

Fluttershy then realized what she said and quickly said. “Oh uh nothing don’t worry about it.” She then looked away from Zeus trying to hide in her hair thinking that Zeus would be mad at her.

Zeus just puts his hand on her back and said reassuringly. “Hey now it’s alright they were bound to know eventually. I’ll tell you girls later. After school maybe, but not right now.”

“An’ why is that partner?” Applejack asked.

“Because we are at the cafeteria duh. I don’t want anyone overhearing. Wait something just came to me where's Pinkie?”

“Now that you said it you're right darling. I haven’t seen her since this morning.”

Suddenly Zeus felt something heading towards him from behind and he quickly ducked. He looked up and saw a pink blur crash right into Applejack. Zeus stood back up and said. “Got ya.”

Pinkie and Applejack are sitting on the floor dazed but not hurt. Then Applejack stands up and said. “Ya couldn’t have warned us?”

“Well someone needed to cushion her fall.” Applejack just rolled her eyes at that.

“Look let’s just get some lunch before something else happens.” Rainbow said rushing into the cafeteria closely followed by Applejack, Rarity just walked in after them. Fluttershy stood there waiting for Zeus to walk with her.

“You go on ahead I’ll catch up in a bit. If something happens you got those three inside with you.” Zeus said with a nod of his head.

“Oh uh okay then.” She then walked in looking really uncomfortable, trying to quickly catch up with one of her fiends. Zeus then crouched down where Pinkie Pie was still on the ground.

“Hey there you okay. That was a very nasty hit you took.” Suddenly she jumped and gave Zeus a bone crushing hug.

“Thank you for seeing if I was okay.”

Zeus gasped out. “Your...welcome can...you let go can’t...breath.”

Pinkie quickly let go and said. “Oh uh sorry, I guess I don't know my own strength sometimes.” She said looking away sheepishly.

Zeus pops his back and said. “It’s okay now. Let’s just go inside so that we can eat.”

Just as Zeus was about to walk into the lunch room he hears from behind him a voice that said. “Wait Zeus hold on.” He turned around to see Luna approach him with a envelope in her hand.

“What’s that for Ms.Luna?” Zeus asked looking at the envelope curiously.

“Oh it's, uh, it's for your father.” She said with a blush.

“Saying?” Zeus said waving his hands in a ‘go on’ motion.

“That’s for him to know. I just need you to give this to him.”

“Well, I don’t see why not. Alright, fine, I’ll do it.” Zeus said holding out his hand for the letter.

“Okay just make sure you don’t read it okay?” Luna said sounding slightly nervous.

“Okay I won’t just give it here” As Zeus gets the letter from Luna he hears a scream come from the lunchroom. Wait a sec that sounds a bit like…. Fluttershy! He then quickly opens the doors to see the doors blocked by people. Ugh I don’t have time for this. Zeus just then forced his way through the crowd earning him some unhappy grumbling. Luna was right behind him trying to also figure what was going on. When Zeus got into the clearing he saw Fluttershy on the ground, with her friends around her looking up at….. The same guy from when Zeus first protected Fluttershy. This made Zeus’s blood boil. He then saw the brute put his hand on her wrist saying “You better stand up now and pay me back or I’m gonna force you!”

Zeus then marched straight over to the group. Luna saying behind him. “Be careful now Zeus I don’t want anybody hurt.”

Zeus just shrugged it off thinking if this brute wanted to not get hurt he should have just stayed away from her.

Suddenly Red-eyes said Zeus! Be careful! You don’t want to transform in front of the entire school do you? I can feel your inner mind pulling me in to transform calm down!

NO! He dares to hurt her. He will regret this.

When Zeus reaches the groups he grabbed the brutes arm and roughly pushes it away forcing him to the ground. The brute was about to say “You got some nerve.” Then stopped upon seeing that it was Zeus standing over him threateningly.

“No you got some nerve messing with her again after what you did the first time. Now I shall warn you one last time leaver her alone.” Zeus said the last part with a lot of menace in his voice.

Suddenly the brute jumps up and punched Zeus full force on the cheek. Zeus’s head snapped to the right putting his hand on his cheek. “That’s for what you did. Now unless you want more you better stand down.” Then Zeus removed his hand his entire body visibly shaking. Zeus could feel his teeth starting to turn into points, and his fingers turning into claws and stretching his gloves. Along with wings starting to pop out of his back. Zeus then looked at the brute who was standing there looking smug thinking he has gotten to Zeus.

Zeus then stood straight up his feet arching up slightly but not noticeably. Then he quickly grabbed the brute with his left hand. Causing the brute to gasp then he started shaking very bad. Like he was almost living through a nightmare. Zeus then shoved him down hard. The brute then looked at Zeus absolutely terrified and said. “W-what a-are y-you?”

Zeus then looked at him a very pointy grin growing on his face unnoticed by anyone, because of the mask. He then said to the brute with much hate sounding feral, almost like a dragon. “I am something far beyond your simple understanding. Now you have one more chance. Leave, or I will make you live through the images you saw.”

The brute just backs away from Zeus really quick then quickly gets up and runs away. Zeus was still standing there breathing heavily. Then he put his hands on both side of his head, grunting in pain. He shook his head. When his head rose again he looked around and saw every one staring at him. He turned around to see the girls were looking at him slightly scared. He then saw Fluttershy who looked completely scared of him. Did I just really-?

Yes you did you almost transformed into me again. Come on Zeus just go sit down.

But Fluttershy. She looks terrified of me.

Well to be fair you did almost turn into a raging he-demon.

“I’ll just go sit down over there. By myself.” Zeus said holding his head down and just walking over to his table.

Then Luna spoke up. “Okay now fun’s over go and get your lunch now.” She then went over to Zeus to start talking to him.

“Oh my gosh girls what the heck was that. I have never seen him get like that.” Rainbow said.

“I don’t know darling, but he was terrifying. He looked like he was about to completely destroy that boy.”

“Ah hear ya Rarity. When he turned around I thought he was gonna go at us next.”

“Oh come on girls he wouldn’t attack us we’re his friends.” Pinkie said.

“Doesn’t change what happened Pinkie. I wonder what he did to that boy to make him terrified of him.” Rainbow said looking thoughtful.

“Poor dear though did you see how he looked when he turned around and saw us scared?”

“Should we go an talk to him?” Applejack asked.

“Maybe we should. It looks like it’s what he needs right now.” Pinkie said.

“What do you think Fluttershy darling?” Rarity said then looked down at Fluttershy and saw her looking at the spot that Zeus was. Still looking scared. “Fluttershy? Are you okay?”

“He… He... What did he…? Why did he...?”

“I don't know Flutters. But if we talk to him, maybe we can get him to say?” Rainbow said, getting down next her trying to get her to stand up.

“But what if he turns into that again?”

“I don’t think he will darling. Lets just go talk to him.”

The entire group gets up and walks over to where Zeus is with his head down and Luna next to him rubbing his back talking to him soothingly. “It’ll be okay, Zeus. You’ll be fine. I’m sure they will still be friends, just explain what happened. I feel like they should know at least about your other friends.” When Luna looks up, she sees the girls coming to his table. She got up and went over to them. “You going over to Zeus?” They all just nod. “Good cause he needs your help now more than he would need anyone. Just don’t push him to hard. Oh and Fluttershy.” Fluttershy looked up at Luna. “Just know that Zeus told me that he would never hurt you and that he is very sorry if he did anything to scare you.”

Fluttershy looked over to Zeus with a sympathetic look on her face and said. “I’ll go and talk with him Ms. Luna. He helped me when I was down, it’s time that I returned the favor.” Fluttershy then goes over to where Zeus is sitting and sat down next to him. The others follow.

Rainbow sat down on the other side of him. "Hey, bud, you gonna be okay?" She asked. Zeus looked up to see the rest of the girls at the table with him. They look like they want to help me... Zeus gave them a sad, small smile.

"Yeah... Yeah I will be now that you all are here." He said, looking more happy.

They all let out a collective awww, except Rainbow, who mutters, "Good to hear."

She looked over to Fluttershy, grabbing her attention and nodded her head towards Zeus.

Fluttershy looked up at Zeus and said.”Um... Zeus?”

Zeus looked toward Fluttershy, “Yes?” He asked.

“Oh... um... I was wondering if you could tell us what happened back there."

Zeus looked down at her, seeing her looking up at him, with a hopeful look on her face. He sighed and said. “I was hoping that it would be at least a few more years. Before I had to tell you girls this, if I ever did.”

“Oh, darling, you don’t have to tell us if you don’t want to.” Rarity said.

“No, I need to do this. Someone besides my father, Luna, and Celestia needs to know. It also needs to be told by me.” Zeus sighed again and continued. “Do you girls know about spirits?”

They all nod their head. Rarity asked “What kind of spirits darling? Like evil or good or something like that?”

“Just don’t interupt right now, Rarity, please. It’s hard enough to say it right now. Okay well in my head I have two 'friends'. One is named The Red-Eyes Black Dragon, whom which I call Red. The other is named The Blue-Eyes White Dragon, whom which I call Blue." He looked up to see Rainbow open her mouth, but he cuts her off. "And no, before you ask, they are not imaginary. They are five thousand year old spirits. They have been jumping from host to host ever since their original bodies died, for they cannot survive in the Æther. And I just happen to be their host right now. They don’t try to take control of my body or anything. They just kind of stay there until they need to move on. But that won't happen for a very long time. Anyways, Red is a spirit of Rage and Bloodlust and such. Though, that doesn't make him evil. He is actually nice, once you get to understand him. The other one that I call Blue is the spirit of happiness and peace. But, he isn't as peaceful as you would think. It's like Red and Blue are great friends, even though they are two completely different beings. Now if I ever felt an extreme emotion, like the rage I felt when that bully was picking on Fluttershy, then well, if I’m not careful my body will draw them into my inner mind, which then I will start to transform into one of them. And seeing how they are both dragons, I will most likely look Evil, but trust me. It's still me on the inside. The actions I take in that form are mine, but they are influenced over the spirit who was drawn into my mind. Example: Fluttershy was being bullied, and I felt a strong rage grow in me from the mere idea someone would pick on her. Red was forcefully dragged into my inner mind. He tried his damnedest to calm me, but we can't entirely control it yet." Zeus heard a soft aww and felt Fluttershy grab his arm and hold it close to her. "Anyway, that form you saw? It wasn't even half of the full Transformation. But that's a story for another day."

“Wow, Darling, that’s quite a lot to take in.”

“And very confusing might I add.” Rainbow said.

“What the heck do these dragon’s look like any ways?”

“Don’t worry about that right now Applejack. I’m just surprised that you girls believe me.”

“Well I would be lyin' if'n I said that I believed ya completely.” Applejack said.

“More importantly, Zeus, what did you do to that guy?” Rainbow asked.

“Well that's a good question. You see, Red can make people see their worst fears just by touching them. When I start to transform into him, I gain this ability. But it only happens if I wasn't to scare them and if I touch them with my left arm.”

“Wait, why your left arm?” Pinkie asked. “Is it because like your good and evil are split into two different parts of you. Red for the left and Blue for the right?”

“Actually Pinkie, you're right that's how it is.”

“So what happens if you turn into Blue?” Rarity asked leaning forward in her seat looking very interested.

“Well Rarity, I can't tell you. I've never turned into him before.”

“So, wait, you've never felt real happiness or a very strong peace?” Fluttershy asked looking at Zeus.

Zeus looked down and said. “No I haven't. Don't get wrong I've been happy. I've just never been really happy.”

“That's interesting and everything, sugarcube but what about these spirits, can ya prove that they are real?”

“Well I could let them speak to you guys.”

“Wait what?” They all said.

“You mean that they can actually go into our head and speak to us?” Rarity said recoiling slightly.

“That is awesome! Can I talk to one of them right now?” Rainbow said looking at Zeus excitedly.

Zeus just chuckled. “They can hear you. Which one do you want to talk to? You won't be able to speak to them both at once. Just because the amount of energy that they put off together would be to much for your mind to handle.”

“Then how can you handle them then?” Rainbow said.

“Well that would be because I've been through a lot and I'm just a powerful host, which is the main reason why they were drawn to me. So which do you wish to speak with first?”

“I want to talk to Red.” Rainbow said confidently.

Zeus looked at her and said in a teasing tone. “Are you sure you can handle it?”

“Hey! What is that supposed to mean?” Rainbow said indignantly.

“Nothing Rainbow, just hold on for a sec I have to lower my barriers.”

“What?” They all said. Zeus looked around to see that they were all confused. To which he started laughing.

“Hey now what's so funny?” Rainbow said almost standing out of her seat, only to be pushed back down by Applejack.

“Oh my bad Rainbow. You guys wouldn’t know about those. Well to put this very simply what I’m talking about is barriers around my mind. It prevents those that I don’t want coming into my mind invading. It does not however prevent things that are already inside of my mind such as my two dear friends.”

“Why do you need those barriers?” Fluttershy asked quietly.

“Well it’s like I said I’m just trying to keep people out of my head I don’t want in their. It’s happened before, trust me it's a good ability to have.”

“Thats cool and everything but I want to talk to Red now please.” Rainbow said trying to get them back on track.

She then heard a very gruff voice in her head say Hello Rainbow, how are you doing? Rainbow then gave a shout looking around as if trying to look for him.

Zeus was trying not to laugh and said. “He’s in your head Rainbow if you want to talk to him in private think what you want to say.” Rainbow just looked at him for a moment before she closed her eyes as if to concentrate. She then opens them and turns to Zeus and asked. “Can you hear what we are talking about?”

Zeus then responded. “Only what Red says. I can’t listen to other people's thoughts.” Zeus then felt a small tug on his cloak and looked down to see Fluttershy look up and ask. “Can I talk to Blue? I mean if he can that is.”

Zeus then chuckled and said. “I’m pretty sure that Blue has been anxious to talk to you Fluttershy.”

Fluttershy then heard a calm and tranquil voice say in her head Ah yes Fluttershy I’ve been waiting to talk to you. What a pleasure.

She then started looking scared again doing what Rainbow did looking around for him.

Zeus put his hand on her shoulder and said. “Don’t worry about him Fluttershy, he won't hurt you. He’s really nice.” After his comment Fluttershy had relaxed a bit.

“Can we all talk to them?” Applejack asked looking at Fluttershy and Rainbow.

“Yes you can but only one at a time, just let them get done talking to Rainbow and Fluttershy and then they will go around and exchange greeting with all of you, just remember you can just think your thoughts and they will hear them.” Then the rest of lunch passed with the rest of group being shocked and awestruck by Red and Blue being able to talk in their heads. Then the bell rang signaling them to go to class.

“Alright girls that’s enough we have to go to class now.” Zeus said calling Red and Blue back into his head. They all had let out a small groan. It seemed like they had really liked talking to them.

Would you look at that they like you guys.

Yep It was very fun talking to them, and nice to be in a different mind. Blue said.

I have to agree Blue it was fun. Though Pinkie's head was… interesting. Red Replied

Yes it was.

Why what was going on in her head? Zeus asked

It’s best if you don’t ask. Red replied

Yeah let’s just keep that to ourselves for now eh? Blue agreed.

Huh well okay then guys. Lets just carry on with the day then eh?

“Well that was really cool Zeus. I could even feel how powerful both of them were how can you keep both of them in your head at once?” Rainbow said in admiration.

Zeus just chuckled and said. “It’s a gift, now come along Fluttershy. Shall we go to class together again?”

Fluttershy just nodded and said. “Mmhm.”

Then Pinkie said. “Hey now wait for me guys.” She quickly caught up with them and said. “I’m in the class with you guys to you know.”

“Ah good to now then. Well let's go then.” They walked to class with Fluttershy staying close to him, and Pinkie questioning him non stop about Red and Blue.

As she was about to ask another question Zeus held up his hand and said. “Pinkie calm down. Everything I want you guys to know about Red and Blue right now I have already said.”

Fluttershy then looked up at him and said. “You mean that there is more to their story?”

Zeus chuckled and said. “Yes actually there is a lot more to that story. It gets… Well let’s just say that I’ve made a lot of mistakes,none of which am I proud of and I do not want to talk about them at all.”

Pinkie came up and said. “You mean it was that bad?” Zeus just nodded. They made it to the class and they all sat down with Fluttershy next to Zeus. Pinkie had to sit some ways away from them. The rest of the school day had passed without incident. At the end of the day the group had met outside for little bit before Zeus and Fluttershy began their walk home. Then suddenly a thought came to Zeus. He then asked. “Hey Fluttershy. What do you like to do. I don’t we’ve ever talked about that.”

Fluttershy looked at him before saying “Well I like to uh… Take care of animals.” She hid behind her hair and had a small blush on her cheeks.

“Really?” Fluttershy just nodded. “Well that’s great. You must have fun taking care of them.”

“Yeah. I just wish I could have one for myself.”

“But wait you just said you take care of animals. Wouldn’t you have at least one?”

She just shook her head and said. “I take care them, but then when they are all better I have to let them go. I mean I also do volunteer at the animal shelter sometimes. But I’ve mainly only been taking care of small animals that I’ve found hurt or something like that.”

“Huh well then. That’s interesting. Any reason why you don’t have one?”

“Oh um it’s just that my parents are sometimes too busy to go with me. Or don’t think we would be able to keep one. Despite the fact that I’ve have been taking care of a bunch of little critters.”

“Well Fluttershy that’s been most interesting to hear. Ah, here we are your house. Need anything else?” She just nodded her head. “Well bye again Fluttershy. See you tomorrow.”

“Bye Zeus.” She then gave a cute wave and walked to her house. Zeus waited for a bit. Then he ran to his house as quickly as he could. He then shortly turned up at his house without to much effort. He went to the house and saw his master sitting on his favorite chair.

“Ah Zeus your home.” He then saw Zeus who was looking as if to ask something. “What is it my boy? Is this about what happened in school? You're not in trouble if you were wondering. You did manage to control yourself and not hurt anyone.”

“No it’s something else master.”

Axel stood up and went over to him and got down to Zeus’s eye level. “What is it my boy?”

“I was wondering if I could get Fluttershy a pet.”

Axel looked surprised by that. “Oh and what for my boy?”

“Because she loves to take care of animals yet doesn’t have one of her own.”

“Hmm well okay then. Let’s go my boy.”

“Oh! Before I forget.” Zeus reached into his pocket and gave Axel the letter that Luna gave him in School. Axel took it then opened the letter and read it. When he got to the bottom he started blushing a bit.

“Well what does it say?”

“Don’t you worry about that now. Let’s just go and get Fluttershy that pet.” He put the letter in his pocket then went to the garage where there were two cars. One that Axel drove and the other for Zeus when he got his liscense. They both got in the cars and headed to the pet store. When they go inside they see a bunch of pets. Zeus noticed a rather cute looking bunny. He went to the person near the cage and asked pointing at the rabbit. “How much is that bunny?”

The guy looked at Zeus and asked. “Who, that one?” He pointed to the same one Zeus was. Zeus nodded. “Are you sure? He is kind of a mean one.” Zeus just nodded thinking if anyone can change that bunny I know it’s Fluttershy.

“Well okay kid if you want him.” Zeus called over his father and, together, go through the whole process of what the rabbit would need and how to take care of it. They left the store with everything they would need for the first month or so.

As they got back to the car his father asked. “So how do you plan on giving it to Fluttershy?”

“Oh I have a plan.” They arrived back at home. When they had gotten the rabbit all comfortable and settled in. Axel went to Zeus and said. “Now that is out of the way let’s get to today's training.”

“Yes master.”

“Well you're actually eager for training to day I see. Well okay then let's go.” Axel let out a small chuckle and joined Zeus in the holo room.
