This ending is obvious too
“Tell me what happened.” Rainbow Dash said in as calming a voice as she could muster as she attempted to soothe the large white mare currently sobbing in her arms. The rainbow maned pony silently prayed that the sun god would be too distracted by whatever it is was bothering her that she wouldn’t notice the large amount of perspiration currently soaking her skin as a result of the close contact between her and her long time crush.
“It was terrible!” Celestia said with a sob, unintentionally leaning closer into Rainbow Dash’s body as she did so. “I invited Applejack and her family over to my house...”
“...so I could explain our relationship to my family.” Applejack said with a sob as she did so, clutching Twilight a little tighter as she did so. The purple mare blushed at the contact her friend was giving her as lewd thoughts of how to take advantage of the situation currently taking place flashed into her mind.
“Everything was going well.” Applejack said as another stream of tears started flowing from her eyes. “Me and Celestia received Granny’s approval and everything seemed fine, but then...”
“...Applejack asked if Luna would give her a tour of the castle.”
“...Applebloom asked Celestia if she would give her a tour of the castle.” Celestia said as another sob escaped her lips, as she wrapped her forelegs a little tighter around Rainbow Dash’s torso, causing the rainbow maned pony to gasp in pain.
“I...can’t...breathe.” Twilight choked out as she struggled to free herself from the much stronger farm pony’s grasp. The applebucker appeared to take notice of her friend’s discomfort and loosened her grip on the purple unicorn, before continuing to sob and explain the cause of her angst.
“When I was giving Luna a tour of the castle we came across the castle’s games room...
“...And Applebloom asked if I would play one of the games with her.” Celestia explained to the rainbow maned filly held as a more than willing captive within her grasp.
“So what happened next?” Twilight asked the farm pony whom currently held her in a way that could have symbolized the farm pony comforting her after a traumatic event, instead of the other way around. Applejack sniffled slightly before explaining what had caused her to end her relationship with the sun goddess and seek comfort with her friend.
“When me and Luna walked into the room we saw...” Applejack paused as a sob escaped from her lips. “...Celestia and Applebloom laying down in the middle of the room...” Applejack explained, pausing a second time to allow another sob to escape from her lips. “Playing Monopoly.”
“Hold on!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she freed herself from Celestia’s embrace. “You’ve spent the last half hour sobbing uncontrollably and using me as your own personal teddy bear. Just because you saw Applejack and princess Luna holding hooves!” Rainbow Dash said with an angry expression on her face which softened when she saw the hurt expression on the face of the large white mare in front of her.
“You don’t understand...”
“...Monopoly was our game. Celestia promised that she’d never play the game with any other pony but me.” Applejack explained to a slightly bitter Twilight Sparkle, who was standing in front of her with her forelegs crossed.
“That’s no reason...
“...to end a relationship with somepony.” Rainbow Dash said with a tern expression on her face as she leaned her face in towards the princess in front of her. “I mean, if I was courting a mare like you, I wouldn’t let a something like this tear us apart.” Rainbow Dash said with a smile on her face as she laid a gentle kiss upon one of Celestia’s cheeks.
“I would find you immediately and apologize for what I did that made you cry.” Twilight said with a smile still evident upon her face as she gave Applejack a second kiss on her perfectly tanned cheek. Applejack’s eyes widened slightly as a smile that seemed to mimic Twilight’s appeared on her face as she turned her head slightly so she was staring into the eyes of the purple unicorn.
“I think I understand what you’re saying.” Applejack said with a grin as she leaned in towards the purple unicorn in front of her, who blush and closed her eyes in expectation of the kiss she was probably going to received from the earth pony, which would likely begin the relationship she fantacized of having with the mare of her dreams.
“You’re saying I should apologize to Celestia...”
“...Even though I did nothing wrong.” Celestia said with a large grin upon her face as her eyes lit up as she was struck with realization. Rainbow Dash’s eyes opened as a disappointed expression appeared upon her face, which was quickly replaced by a fake smile.
“Yeah, that’s exactly what I meant.” Rainbow Dash said with a quivering smile that seemed to be ignored by the princess who had already started trotting towards the door of Rainbow Dash’s home with a bright smile on her face that seemed to evaporate the tears which had stained her face just a few seconds before.
“I love Celestia too much to allow something like this to end our relationship.” Applejack said with a grin as she opened the door to the library and stepped outside into the cold night air with the intent to find her princess and forgive her for her betrayal of her trust. The earth pony grinned as she turned her head to face the purple unicorn in the library.
“Thank you for your advice.” Applejack said with a smile on her face as she closed the door of the library, leaving Twilight alone with her thoughts of the scene that had just taken place in front of her.
“Dammit.” Rainbow Dash said quietly to herself as she reflected on the events that had taken place mere seconds before.
“Why did I have to be so nice.”
