It was a sunshiny day in Ponyville where the flowers bloom, the animals frolic and where everypony is small, pointy and carefree. Twilight Sparkle was looking for some interesting books to read in her free time until she uncovered an old dusty piece of paper on the end of the bookshelf.
"Why is there an old piece of paper on the bookshelf?" Twilight ponders as she puts the paper on her desk.
She blows all the dust from the paper and examines it and to her shock she found something interesting.
"A treasure map!" The purple unicorn shouts with excitement. "This must lead to a buried treasure hidden away in Equestria, I must show this to my friends!"
Twilight decides to round up her friends to show them a very special thing she found in her library. One by one She went to each house to gather them starting with Sweet Apple Acres.
"Hey Applejack! Guess what I found?" Twilight said with a large grin on her face.
"Not now Twilight, I'm working here." Applejack says as she bucks an apple tree.
"But I have something very interesting to show you!" The purple unicorn says as she gleefully holds her treasure map.
"Well sorry Twi, but all these trees ain't gonna buck themselves" Applejack walks off to buck some more trees to gather more apples.
Twilight then heads off to Fluttershy's house to show her the paper she found. She proceeds to knock the door until the door opened and slammed her face.
"Alright Angel, I will take you to that new sandwich shop you've been dying to go to." Fluttershy says as she heads out with a small white bunny in her pointy little hooves. "Plus, it would be nice to get a break from making you sandwiches every day, right Angel?"
Angel nods in response and thinks to himself (They might make better sandwiches than the ones Fluttershy has been feeding me).
Twilight recovers from the door slam and heads to Sugarcube Corner to discuss with Pinkie Pie.
Pinkie is busy baking a special cake commemorating Fancy Pants and Fleur's 1 year anniversary and when she saw Twilight she responded "Hey Twilight, It looks like you have something to show me but I am very busy right now! You see, I am ordered to bake a very special cake for some rich couple in Canterlot and it had to be delivered to them ASAP whatever that means! Mr. and Mrs. Cake has entrusted me this job while they are taking the foals to the doctor for their booster shot!"
Twilight had a puzzled look on her face. "But, Pinkie ho-"
Pinkie grabbed Twilight and threw her out of Sugarcube Corner. "Sorry Twilight but this cake is really important, talk to you later, bye!" then Pinkie slams the door shut.
Twilight stares at Sugarcube Corner's door "but, but, oh forget it." Then she stands up and starts heading to Rarity's house in hopes she has the time to hear about the map. Unfortunately for Twilight, Rarity is busy and with Rainbow Dash no less.
"Hey Rarity and Rainbow Dash, what are you two doing?" Twilight asked.
Rarity answered "Oh, hello Twilight. I've asked Rainbow dash to model for me so that I can be sure that my clothes can make even the most uncouth hooligan look dazzling."
"HEY!" Rainbow Dash shouts angrily as she puts on a sundress. "I'm only doing this because you gave me that backstage pass to the Wonderbolts show! How did you get the ticket anyway?"
"I have my connections." Rarity says as she puts on a matching sun hat on the rainbow maned pegasus.
"So, how do I look?" Rainbow Dash asks the fashionista.
"Marvelous darling, it's as if you can always dress in style." Rarity answers with a smile.
Rainbow Dash cringes "Why does your response make me feel very uncomfortable right now?"
Twilight tries to cut into the conversation "So, you girls wanna see what I have here?"
"Not right now darling, I have many clothes that I want Rainbow Dash to try out" Rarity responded.
Twilight then leaves with a sigh of disappointment.
"So Rainbow, which would you like to try out first, the hooded sweater or these striped socks?" Rarity asks as she gleefully holds the socks and hooded sweater.
Rainbow Dash then thinks to herself (That backstage pass better be worth this humiliation.)
Twilight heads home planning to find the treasure herself since her friends aren't interested. As she arrived home she sees Spike who had just returned from gathering gems for his dinner.
Spike looks at Twilight and asks "Hey Twi, anything new?"
She shows him her treasure map "well Spike, I just found a map that will lead me to an amazing Treasure!"
"A TREASURE MAP!" Twilight's best friends screamed in unison as they appeared from nowhere.
The purple unicorn is confused and asks "Wait, where did you all come from and weren't you all busy today!?
Then they each gave an answer. Applejack was already done bucking all the apple trees and Pinkie was finished with the cake and it's been shipped to Canterlot. Fluttershy already took Angel to that new sandwich shop that sells foot-long subs and Rainbow has finished modeling for Rarity.
The mane 6 then wondered kind of treasure it would be.
Applejack thought that the treasure might be beautiful golden apple tree.
Pinkie thought that it could be magic bag full of fun surprises.
Fluttershy believed that the treasure could be a magical flute that can cause animals to become friendly and follow her.
Rarity believed that it could be a large golden rock filled with the most beautiful gems in the world.
Rainbow Dash hopes that it could be a golden Wonderbolts costume.
Twilight still wonders what the treasure could be.
As for Spike, he thought there might be an endless pile of gems.
The mane 6 and Spike are ready for the adventure as they have packed up their lunches and started to head west from Ponyville. "To the treasure!" they all said as they walk along the path.They headed to the beach and they try to rent a large boat to go there. The old bearded stallion by the name of Old Spice refuses to rent them a boat because of dangerous pirates.
"Pirates, you mean there's pirates out there?" Twilight asked.
"Yup, there is a new pirate out there by the name of Captain Lyra and she is accompanied by her first mate Bon Bon. That alone is the reason why I can't rent you a boat." Old Spice answered.
Rarity then tries to entice him "Has anyone ever told how a handsome hunk of stallion you are?
The old stallion blushes and says "Well, I was a captain back in my day."
Spike growls in jealousy, but Twilight assured Spike that Rarity is just acting.
"Oh, a captain. Well captain, may you please rent us a boat?" The Rarity asks.
"Well, okay then. I will lend you a fine ship for your voyage free of charge."
"No foolin'?" Applejack asks.
Old Spice smiles and rubs his beard "Yup, I feel generous today and you pretty young mares have won me over."
He brings out a beautiful yellow ship for them to voyage in.
"This is the S.S. Banana Boat and it is the most reliable sea vessel I have in this dock." Old Spice pridefully gloats.
They all went into the ship and left the dock waving goodbye to Old Spice.
"Good luck on your journey!" Old Spice shouts and waves at them.
"Thanks for the ship!" The mane 6 shouted as they kept on waving.
"Onward to the treasure!" Spike says as the ship sails west.
