In Rainbow Rocks, she won the hearts of bronies everywhere by rising up to fight evil for the sake of her friends even in the face of serious adversity. But, who was she before all this? "The Fall of Sunset Shimmer" showed us the beginning of her descent into darkness. "Equestria Girls Holiday Special" revealed that she wasn't even close to her own family. Yet, there is so much more we have yet to know about her. How did she become Celestia's student? Who was her family and what happened to them? This story is my attempt to fill in those blanks. Enjoy.
