Equestrian Ancients: The Man With Eye's of Blue
The Man With Eye's of Blue Appears
Load Full StoryNext ChapterIt was a fine day in Equestria, the sun shining high and everyone was having a good time. In a small village named Ponyville, the residents where enjoying themselves on one of the best day's ever. This day, was a time for celebration of there new princess Twilight Sparkle. However, there was only one thing missing from the celebration. The new princess herself was off somewhere on an exploration mission of a new section of land found by some of the Royal Guards of Celestia's Castle.
Upon hearing this, Twilight Sparkle jumped at the opportunity to explore this new land for Celestia. Celestia was hesitant to agree to this because of Twilight's new Royal responsibilities. But, with some help with her friends, Twilight was able to convince Celestia to let her explore. So, with Twilight's friends taking her place by taking care of some the new responsibilities she had,Twilight set out to the new desert area to see what she could find.
Currently however, she had no luck finding anything, Despite hours of searching, she had found nothing so far. Because of this, she was starting to get extremely annoyed. The heat wasn't helping ether, even with a sun hat on.
"Raah! Come on! I've been here for hours! There's nothing here but sand and heat!" Twilight yelled out, wiping the sweat off her brow, looking back at her map. She started walking again, making her way across the sand. She stopped for a moment, sighing and taking out a canteen of water, taking a drink. But as she started to drink, something shined in her eye. She stopped drinking from her canteen and covered her eye's for a moment, trying to see what it was.
Upon closer inspection, there appeared to be some golden orb on the ground by her. She looked at it for a few moments before kneeling down to try and pick it up, but much to her surprise, it was stuck in the ground. She frowned slightly and grabbed it with both of her hands, pulling at it hard. An unlocking sound was heard and she almost knocked herself back, but she pulled out the orb that was somehow attached to the ground. with a smile, she looked at the orb, but was surprised to see that it was some kind of Rod and not an orb like she expected. It was made of gold and looked like it had an eye on the front of it.
But before she could question what it was, the ground started to shake beneath her. she yelped at the ground started to open up in front of her, causing her to back up. The sand started to shake away, revealing that a door was opening in front of her, a set of stairs leading deep down into the hole. The ground soon stopped shaking and she stared into the path in front of her. She stared at the set of stairs and then the rod in her hand before a smile formed on her face.
"Finally! This was just what I needed." she said as she walked down the set of stairs. The deeper she went down the stairs, the darker the area got until the point she couldn't see. However, once it got to this point, the rod started to glow, giving her light. She eventually reached flat ground as she held the rod up, looking around. The area looked to be ancient and had hieroglyphics on the walls. She walked up to a wall and looked at the hieroglyphics.
"I haven't seen anything like this for a while..." She said as she tried to read them, slowly walking along the wall. It took her a bit, but she was able to understand what they said after a while.
"A long time ago, there was a war between gods. After this war, the Millennium Items where created for the reason of keeping peace. When three of the items are gathered together, they can be used to summon the possessors of the said items." She finished as she reached the end of the room. She looked around once more to see a pedestal with what looked like to have two items resting on it. One being an upside down Golden Pyramid with a chain attached to the top and what looks like a Golden Ring with small golden triangle attachments around it and another golden flat pyramid in the center of it, this one also having an eye in the center of it.
She slowly walked up to the items, feeling a bit nervous, stopping when she was in front of them. She stared at them for a few moments before looking at the rod in her hand. An idea started to form in her head as she set the rod in the middle of the other two items. Nothing happened, leaving her a bit disappointed. But when she reached to pick the rod back up, the items started to glow, causing her to back up in surprise.
They continued to grow brighter and brighter until she had to cover her eye's so she wouldn't go blind. The light continued to grow until it could even be seen from the start of the stairs before. They continued to glow until everything had gone white.
Elsewhere, a human was leaning against a tree. This human was male and had dyed his hair red. The strangest thing about this man was that he had blue eyes. In combination with his red hair, he was hard to miss most times. He had also worn something that was similar to what a man named Kaiba would ware. For those who don't know who Kaiba is, he is a man from an anime called Yu-Gi-Oh, where the famous Dueling Monsters game came from. If it wasn't for his eye color and hair, he would have looked almost just like Kaiba.
He also had a Custom Duel Disk attached to his arm. He had made it specially designed so it would work almost just like one as well, the only thing it couldn't do was bring up the holograms. He even had his deck in the Dueling Disk as well. With an addition to that, he even had a Millennium Puzzle around his neck, one that he gotten off of EBay that is. It was strange that it looked like it actually was made of gold, but he didn't pay too much attention to it.
This man's name however was Tyler, and he was a bit board, but was also enjoying the sound of the cool breeze in the meadow he was in. He sighed, opening his eyes and looking out into the grassy field in front of him. He did like being alone, but he missed his old friends. He sadly left them behind after he had decided to become a World Tournament Duelist. He did enjoy his new life sometimes, but he still missed all of the friends he made before. Getting off the tree, he had decided to head home.
"All the duels I've won, all the money I've earned... It wasn't nearly as I expected it to be..." Tyler said, slightly slouched over as he walked. To say he looked upset was an understatement. Unfortunately for him, the life of a rich duelist didn't feel right to him, and it was only now that it had caught up with him. He had even started wishing that he had a little brother like Kaiba had.
He was currently heading back to his home, on in other case, his mansion, thinking that it was time to call it a day. But before he could get any further, he felt something against his chest start to grow warm. He paused for a moment, looking down. His eye's widened at what he saw. His Millennium Puzzle was starting to glow, it was also glowing brighter and brighter every second.
"What the!? What the hell is going on here!?" He said as the glow soon started to become blinding. He started to back up and ended up tripping. The glow quickly enveloped Tyler and just as soon as it started, the glowing stopped. But Tyler was no longer there, the Millennium Puzzle gone as well. Everything had then gone silent in the field, and there was nothing but the sound of the cool air gliding across the grassy fields.
Meanwhile, back with Twilight, the glow was finally starting to die down. Twilight however was having a hard time keeping her eye's open from the long exposure to the light. However, she could hear the groans of what sounded like three people. However, it was not long before the sound of one of the new voices started to cackle evilly. The cackling suddenly stopped, as if the person or thing the voice belonged to had found something on interest.
"Well now... What do we have here? The Millennium Puzzle on a silver platter just for me?" The voice said, some shuffling being heard. Twilight finally was able to focus again, looking up in the direction of the voices. There were three men by the pedestal, one had red hair and dressed a bit strange. The other two had white hair, however, one had tanned skin and the other was a pasty white. The tanned man had almost pin prick irises, and looked very annoyed.
"Hold it right there Bakura! The Millennium Puzzle is mine!" the tanned man said. The man named Bakura just scoffed and reached out to grab one of the items on the pedestal, already having the ring item around his neck. Before Bakura could grab it, the other man pushed him away, reaching for the item. The tanned man had the rod item in his hand.
"Back off Marik!" Bakura shouted, grabbing onto the man named Marik. It wasn't long before pushing and shoving quickly escalated to a full on fight between the two, the Millennium Puzzle being thrown around from one person to the other. This kept on happening before a different hand reached out and grabbed the Millennium Puzzle, shocking Both Bakura and Marik. The Millennium Puzzle shined in in this new hand. The owner of this hand was none other then the other man that had appeared, his blue eye's now able to be seen.
"I don't think this belongs to any of you." The man said, his voice cold and his stare icy. He looked at the Millennium Puzzle for a moment, eyes widening. It felt as if it was calling him, prompting him to put it on. In a quick motion, he placed the Millennium Puzzle around his neck as Bakura and Marik gasped, quickly trying to get to the red haired man, but a bright flash stopped them in there tracks. The man's eye's widen for a moment before he was enveloped in a soft glow. Bakura and Marik covered there eye's for a few moments until the glow finally died down. Standing in front of them was the same man, but he looked different. His hair had spiked up more and had a bit of a golden tinge to the tips, his eye color had changed from blue to a purplish blue. His features had also sharpened and if where possible, his stare would have became more icy.
"Leave this place, for you were never welcome!" The Pharaoh said, causing Marik and Bakura to back up, growling. Upon further notice, you can see that both Marik and Bakura had Dueling Disks. They both glanced at each other for a moment before Marik quickly turned around and ran out of the room. Bakura however had a smile on his face.
"So Pharaoh, we meet again! This time out battle will be different. I'll be the one walking away with the Millennium Puzzle ad your God Cards this time!" Bakura said with a laugh, activating his Duel Disk. The Pharaoh narrowed his eye's at Bakura for a moment before activating his own.
"Very well Bakura. I shall Duel you. But if I win, you will keep your Millennium Item and leave this place." The Pharaoh said, Bakura Chuckling to himself. Twilight stared at both of them, eye's wide as she slowly got to her feet.
"This will be your last duel Pharaoh!" Bakura said as their Duel Disks lit up and held them up, drawing out 5 cards out of a card slot in the Duel Disk
"Duel!" Both the Pharaoh and Bakura said, Bakura Taking the first turn of the Duel. With a grin on his face, he took his turn.
"I shall Summon Skull Knight #2 in attack mode!" Bakura said as he put his card on his dueling disk, a monster forming out of thin air in front of him, looking to be a skeleton in armor with a sword in hand.

"I shall then set two cards and end my turn. Your move Pharaoh." Bakura said, two large cards appearing in front of him face down. The Pharaoh then drew a card from his deck slot. His eye's widened in surprise when he looked at his hand, these cards were unlike anything he saw before. But, he would try to use them anyway.
"Very well, I shall activate Trade-In! Sending one level 8 monster from my hand to the grave to draw two cards." The Pharaoh said, a large card appearing on the field, looking to have the picture of two traders talking to one another as a grin formed on Bakura's face.
"Not so fast Pharaoh! I activate Magic Drain to negate your Trade-In!" Bakura said, chuckling a bit as one of his set cards revealed itself, a light blue spirit coming out of it and towards the large face up card that just appeared.
"Very well, then I shall counter it by sending one spell card to my grave!" The Pharaoh said, discarding a card, making the spirit disappear, destroying the face up card on Bakura's field. Bakura growled as the Pharaoh drew two cards.
"I then activate Dragon Shrine! This card allows me to target one dragon monster from my deck and send it to my grave, and better yet, if I send a Blue-Eyes monster, I can send another monster with it." Just as before, a card appeared on the field as the Pharaoh looked threw his deck. He was more confused than surprised at this point, this was nothing like the deck he had used before. How did he even know what the card effects were in the first place? He decided to send Blue-Eyes White Dragon to the grave with The White Stone of Ancients.
"I shall then activate The Melody of Awakening Dragon! By sending Sage With Eyes of Blue to my grave, I can target two level 8 dragon type monsters with 3000 attack and 2500 defense and add them to my hand." Another card appeared in front of him, replacing the other one as he discarded a card. Looking threw his deck once more, he added Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon to his hand.
"Next, by revealing to you one Blue-Eyes White Dragon, I can Special Summon Blue-Eye's Alternative White Dragon to the field!" The Pharaoh said, showing him the said card, and setting a card on the Duel Disk as a white dragon appeared in front of him, roaring upon his arrival, shining in the light.

Bakura's eyes widened as the Dragon appeared on the field. "What!?! You Summoned a 3000 Attack point monster in one turn!?!" Bakura said.
"That's right, and I'm not done yet! Next I activate Soul Charge! This allows me to Special Summon any monster in my grave for one thousand life points each!" The Pharaoh said as he winced slightly after playing the card, a glowing white wall appearing on the field as well what looked like some kind of mage with blue hair, then another White Dragon, roaring upon its arrival like Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon. But his roar sent out shockwaves that launched forward and hitting Bakura's other set card. It was destroyed on Impact, shocking Bakura.

"What!? But how did your dragon do that!?" Bakura said, looking annoyed. The Pharaoh chuckled in response before playing another card.
"I activate Gospel of Revival! Allowing me to summon any Level 7 or higer Dragon Type Normal Monster in my grave." The Pharaoh said, A Blue-Eyes White Dragon appearing on the field, roaring a mighty roar.

"I then Sacrifice my Sage With Eye's of Blue and my White Stone of Ancients to summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" The Pharaoh said, the two said monsters disappearing and another Blue-Eye's White Dragon taking there place.

"Now I shall end my turn." The Pharaoh said, Bakura gritting his teeth, angered at the situation he was in. Bakura drew one card, his eye's widening as the realization that he could not do anything had gotten to him, simply setting a monster face down on the field, it appearing as a big sideways face down card in front of him. The Pharaoh grinned as he drew a card before suddenly looking serious.
"Now my monsters! Attack!" With that, all four of the dragons roared as the charged towards Bakura. two of the dragons attacked both of his monsters, destroying them as the last two Blue-Eyes White Dragons charges up large balls of light in there mouth, unleashing a destructive stream of White energy at Bakura, hitting him directly. Bakura yelled out in pain as a beeping sound was heard, all of the monsters disappearing, Bakura falling onto his knees.
"This Duel is over Bakura, now leave this place!" The Pharaoh said as Bakura shakily got to his feet, growling at the Pharaoh before turning around and running away. The Pharaoh breathed a sigh of relief as the Millennium Puzzle started to glow again. The Pharaoh was enveloped in the soft glow once again and when it went away, he looked just the same as he was before. He blinked for a moment, looking around the room before seeing Twilight. To say the least, if it was physically possible, her jaw would have hit the ground.
"Are you alright?" The man said, walking up to Twilight. She shook her head slightly, but still looked amazed and also confused. Questions started to fill her mind as the man approached her. The man stopped when he noticed that she had a horn on her head. In fact, now that he was in front of her, he could also see that she had purple wings as well as purple skin. He never thought that he would see something like this before, at least not out of Yu-Gi-Oh.
The same could be said for Twilight, she had never seen anything like Tyler before, at least not outside of her books. The combination of his red hair, blue eyes, and barely tanned white skin looked very strange to her. His choice of clothing was odd to her as well, it didn't match the color of his hair and was starting to bother her a bit. But the big thing that caught her attention was his height, he looked like he was taller than Celestia! Not only that, because of the tight shirt he had on, she could see his chiseled chest. Granted the other men in Ponyville where bigger then him in body type, but they didn't have any defined muscles.
"Hello? Its a bit rude to ignore someone." The man said, snapping his fingers in front of her eyes, causing her to snap out of her thoughts, a small blush forming on her face.
"W-Wha-?" Twilight said a bit dumbfounded, looking back up at the man. The man looked a bit annoyed before responding to her dumbfounded look.
"I asked for your name, its the least you can do for me." The man said, not looking as annoyed as before, but still a bit annoyed. Twilight stood back up and cleared her throat.
"I am Twilight Sparkle, may I ask what your name is?" Twilight said, a bit weary about man. The man grinned slightly at this question, which worried her a bit.
"My name is Tyler, and its... Nice? Yah, nice to meet you" Tyler said, turning away from her and looking around the room, looking interested. He gently held up his Millennium Puzzle to stare at it for the few moments before assuming that what just happened actually happened. 'Perhaps that really was the Ancient Pharaoh that possessed my body for those moments...'
"Excuse me Tyler, if you don't mind me asking..." Twilight had said, catching Tyler's attention. 'Oh, yah... She's still here...' Tyler thought to himself.
"I was wondering if you could tell me what the heck that was!?" Twilight said, shocking Tyler a bit. He thought everyone knew about Dueling Monsters. This truly was a strange situation Tyler was in.
"Well, if you must know, first tell me where I am. Then I shall tell you about Dueling Monsters." Tyler said, still a bit lost from the situation at hand, yet still keeping his stern expression. Twilight stared at him for a moment before answering.
"Well, you and I are in an uncharted selection of land in the Magical land of Equestria. Currently ruled by the two Princesses, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna." Twilight said, Tyler's eyes widening a bit. 'Princesses? This is starting to found familiar...' Tyler thought, starting to piece something together.
"Princesses you say? Princesses of what might I ask?" Tyler said, looking a bit interested. Perhaps Tyler's suspicions could be confirmed with a bit more information.
"Princess Celestia is the Princess of the Sun, she raises it every morning when the night is over. Princess Luna is the Princess of the Moon, she raises the moon when the day is over." Twilight said with a smile on her face, Tyler's eye's widening a bit more. 'Is she serious? Could this place really be the place from that show? No, there's no way that it could be possible...' Tyler thought.
"Now, can you please explain to me the concept of this thing you call Dueling Monsters?" Twilight said, braking Tyler out of his thoughts.
"Oh, yes, of course... Dueling Monsters..." Tyler said, a bit of concern in his voice. He reached into one of his inner jacket pockets, pulling out a wooden box. However, something that caught his eye was that on the top of the wooden box was a golden eye symbol just like the one on the Millennium Puzzle. He looked at Twilight, holding up the box a bit.
"Now, To get you introduced, we are going to have a practice Du-" Tyler said, but getting cut off when the box his his hands started to glow. Twilight and Tyler's eyes widened as Tyler dropped the box, it somehow being able to catch itself in the air. It slowly floated up into the air, the symbol on it glowing brighter then the box, the box slowly opening up. The sound of cards being shuffled could be heard as soon as the box opened up.
Cards came flooding out of the box, moving around the room with a golden tint to them. However, no sooner then they came out, they started to hoover around Twilight, causing her to yelp in surprise. Some of the cards surrounding her changed from there gold tint to a purple tint, those cards gathering together to make a stack of cards. As they formed together, the purple tint from them left the cards and gathered together, surrounding the cards, forming into something in the proses. The tint soon turned into a solid, spreading out and taking the shape of Tyler's Duel Disk and soon looking just like it, but this one colored lavender instead.
The new Dueling Disk, with the new set of cards inside, slowly descended as all the other cards floating in the air slowly moved back into the box, the box closing back up and resting back in Tyler's hand and the new Dueling Disk lowering into Twilight's arms. Twilight stared at it in amazement as Tyler stared at it, a dumbfounded look on his face. He quickly shook his head and walked up to Twilight.
"So, are you ready for a Test Duel?" Tyler said, causing Twilight to jump slightly. There was a small smile on Tyler's face, but upon seeing this, Twilight felt confused. She thought that Tyler was annoyed with being there at the moment, but the smile on his face made it looked like he was enjoying his time there.
"A Test Duel? But I don't know how to Duel..." Twilight said, a some confusion in her voice. Tyler's smile grew a bit larger and surprisingly, he looked happy. Twilight looked away from Tyler a bit, a slight tinge of red forming on her cheeks. Thankfully Tyler didn't notice this and he motioned to the Duel Disk in her arms.
"Go ahead, put it on. I can teach you while we Duel. I've found that the best way to learn how to play Dueling Monsters is by playing it and learning how to play it as you do so." Tyler said with a smile on his face, surprising Twilight with his reasoning. Slowly, she put the Duel Disk around her arm. Upon seeing this, Tyler backed up and activated his Duel Disk, Twilights own Duel Disk activating as well, causing her to yelp as two images appeared above both of them, one above Tyler and one above Twilight. They had appeared to be boxes with a four digit number in both of them, the number being 8000.
"Now, we will be using the new rules, so both of us will have 8000 life points. Now, I will take the first turn to start teaching you. Now, draw five cards out of the Deck Slot of your dueling disk." Tyler said, drawing five cards, Twilight slowly doing the same. Tyler smiled when he saw his hand.
"Now, there are six Phases in Dueling Monsters, The Draw Phase, Standby Phase, Main Phase One and Two, Battle Phase, and The End Phase. During the Draw Phase, your draw one card from your Deck Slot, if you go first however, you cannot draw. Then after the Draw Phase, the Standby Phase begins. The Standby Phase is just a relaxing phase, that is unless you have a card effect that will activate during the Standby Phase. Then you enter Main Phase one, this is where you can play your cards. You have your Normal Monsters, your Effect Monsters, Spell, and Trap cards. Spell cards can be activated on any Phase depending on the condition of your Spell Card, Traps however must be set during ether Main Phase One or Two for they require one turn to be charged. Now, its time for my Main Phase." Tyler said, Twilight looking she was trying to understand what he just said.
Tyler looked at his cards once again before taking one of them and showing it to her "By revealing to you one Blue-Eyes White Dragon, I can Special Summon the Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon." Tyler said, putting the Blue-Eyes back in his hand and putting one other card in his hand on his Duel Disk, a card appearing on the field in front of them, a large white dragon appearing out of the card, unleashing a mighty roar as it rested on the ground, a low growl coming from it.
"Then I shall activate the effect of Sage with Eyes of Blue, by targeting my Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon, I can send both cards to the grave to Special Summon a Blue Eyes monster from my deck." Tyler said, sending the said card to the grave, the dragon on the field dissipating into mist, the mist forming into another figure. The mist formed into the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, the dragon unleashing a mightily roar just like Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon, resting on the ground.

"I will now end my Main Phase and enter my End Phase, Main Phase Two is just like Main Phase One. The Battle Phase is when your monsters can attack, however, if you go first, you cannot attack that turn. The End Phase is just like the Standby Phase. It is now your turn Twilight." Tyler said, ending his turn. Twilight slowly drew one card, looking at her hand nervously before taking a breath in and out.
"I will activate Raigeki, destroying your Blue-Eyes" Twilight said as the aria darkened above Blue-Eyes White Dragon before a large lightning bolt came down, hitting the Blue-Eyes, making it cry out as it burst into shards, Tyler shielding himself from the explosion.
"Then I will activate Allure of Darkness, I will draw two cards, then banish Magician of Dark Illusion so I don't discard my entire hand." Twilight said as she activated her spell, something that looked like a black hole appearing above her as she drew her cards, holding one card up as the hole brought the card into it, soon disappearing. She was impressed with herself that she was able to understand the effects of these cards.
"I will set three cards and then end my turn, its your turn Tyler" Twilight said with a smile, looking like she was enjoying herself. Tyler smiled back at her as he drew one card.
"First I will activate Silver's Cry, letting me Special Summon one Normal Dragon Type monster from my grave!" Tyler said as he activated his spell, a card appearing on the field. A soft roar was heard, slowly growing louder as the card suddenly exploded, Blue-Eyes white dragon flying out of the explosion and resting in front of Tyler.

"Then I will activate Twin Twisters, by discarding one card, I can target two Spell/Trap Cards on the field and destroy them" Tyler said as the room darkened and a sudden strong gust of wind came up, whipping around viciously as Tyler discarded a card. No sooner then he did, the wind grew more fierce, two of Twilights set cards flying up and shattering in the wind, causing Twilight to shield herself from the wind.
"Now, entering my Battle Phase, Attack my Blue-Eyes White Dragon! White Lightning!" Tyler shouted as the Blue-Eyes white Dragon roared, a ball of cackling white energy forming in its mouth as it launched a bright white beam at Twilight. Twilight's eyes widened as she was hit with the beam, holding up her arms to shield herself as she was hit, her life points dropping to 5000.
"I end my turn, your turn again Twilight" Tyler said. Twilight drew one card and looked at her hand, looking a bit nervous, but shaking her head as she set one card in her Spell/Trap Zone before ending her turn. Tyler drew one card, a smile on his face.
"First I will Summon Maiden with Eyes of Blue, then activate the effect of Sage with Eyes of Blue to send it and Maiden with Eyes of Blue to the grave, but not before activating her effect. When she is targeted for an attack or a Spell/Trap card effect, I can change her to defense and Special summon a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand, deck, or grave. Now I will Special Summon my last two Blue-Eyes White Dragons to the field!" Tyler yelled as a woman with silvery long hair appeared on the field with a brown dress on, but she soon evaporated into mist as Tyler discarded a card, the mist growing and splitting before forming into two blue-Eyes White Dragons, both of them resting by the Blue-Eyes in front of Tyler.

"Now my dragons, Triple White Lightning Attack! Attack Twilight Directly!" Tyler yelled as the three dragons roared as a ball of white crackling energy formed in there mouths. Twilight's eye's widened as the three Blue-Eyes unleashed there blasts, the three of them swirling around one another as they combined together to form one giant blast, heading right for Twilight. Twilight held up her arms in an attempt to protect herself from the large white blast, but it didn't do much as she was hit, getting flown back, almost crashing into the wall behind her, falling on her back as her life points dropped to 0, ending the duel. Everything on the field dissipated as the duel ended, both of their Duel Disks deactivating as Tyler walked up to Twilight, extending a hand towards her.
"You alright down there?" Tyler said as Twilight reached out and grabbed ahold of her hand. Tyler pulled her back onto her feet, smiling at her, Twilight looking back at him with a blank look on her face. Tyler stared at her as well before looking confused.
"Will you please come back with me to my hometown? I'm sure that everyone there will love Dueling Monsters just as much as me." Twilight said, a smile growing on her face. Tyler stared at her for a few moments 'Perhaps it would be best so we could possibly find a place to rest.' Tyler thought. He blinked, looking around the room for a moment, a bit confused. 'Wait, what was that?' Tyler thought, slowly looking back at Twilight.
"You know what Twilight, that sounds like a wonderful idea" Tyler said with a smile on his face, Twilight smiling back at him. However, her smile faltered a bit when she stared at him for a bit longer. It was noticeable that his bangs had risen a bit so shadows didn't cover his eye's and he looked to be in a much brighter mood then before. His blue eye's shined with calmness and compassion, yet there was also a deep yet small fire burning deep within them.
"Can you let go of my hand now?" Tyler said, snapping Twilight out of her thoughts. Her eye's widened when she realized she was still holding his hand after all this time. She instantly let go of his hand, a blush forming on her cheeks. Tyler tilted his head a bit before turning around and moving towards the exit.
"Come on, I think its starting to get late, so lets hurry shall we?" Tyler said, walking up the steps, leaving an embarrassed and confused Twilight behind. Twilight quickly followed behind him, not wanting to be left behind. 'Its so strange... He knew everything he was doing, yet he's so clueless...' Twilight thought, trailing behind Tyler.
Bakura painted as he ran across the desert, tired from running. Soon he had to stop to rest, practically collapsing onto the ground. 'Damn that Pharaoh, that was nothing like what he used before! Where did he even get such a deck!' Bakura thought as he rested against the sand. The sun was slowly descending upon the sand lands, steadily making it colder in the land. Bakura slowly got back to his feet before noticing someone hiding behind a sand dune. It was Marik, and he looked like he was watching something. Bakura made his way next to Marik, surprising him for a moment before he went back to watching to what he was looking at.
Both of them were now looking at what looked like something meant for transport, straps being attached to the shoulders of two men equipped with armour with a symbol of a sun on the chest plate. They looked like they were sweating a river, but as the sun lowered, they looked to get better. Before either one of them could say something, Tyler and Twilight could be seen approaching the carriage. They looked like they were having a good conversation. What shocked them the most was the fact that Twilight had a Duel Disk and cards to go with it. The thought of this angered Marik and he raised up to march over to both of them, but Bakura stopped him.
"Hold it right there Marik, the Pharaoh is far to powerful to beat now. Its best you wait and think about your next move." Bakura whispered to Marik as he slowly returned to his position behind the sand dune. Soon Twilight and Tyler arrived to the carriage, Twilight explaining to the armored men about what happened so they would allow Tyler into the carriage, but not before getting strange looks from both of them. It took one irritated glance from Twilight to get the men to look away from Tyler. Marik's eyes suddenly widened while he was staring at Tyler.
"Bakura! Look at the Pharaoh's partner, what happened to him?" Marik said, shocking Bakura for a few seconds as he finally realized why the Pharaoh had such a different deck.
"Your right, that's not that little brat Yugi! But who is he, I've never seen him before." Bakura said, staring at Tyler as he talked with Twilight.
"Why are you asking me, I don't know who he is ether! We must quickly follow them or we will never find out." Marik said as he started to get up, but Bakura grabbed ahold of him again.
"What do you mean we?" Bakura said as Marik stopped, looking at Bakura. Marik chuckled as he stood up, staring down at Bakura, who looked slightly confused.
"What do you think I mean by we? I say until we figure out what the hell happened and why we are here, we team up to go against this thing. Because the say I see it, we both now have a common enemy." Marik said with a smirk. Bakura soon developed the same smirk as Marik helped him up.
"So Partner, what's your plan?" Bakura asked Marik, earning a bigger smirk from Marik. He motioned Bakura to follow him as he made his way to the carriage, Bakura soon following behind as Twilight and Tyler just entered it. Marik quickly got underneath the carriage, Bakura following his lead as they could now hear Twilight and Tyler talking.
"I don't really know what happened back there Twilight. But my best theory was that because of the symbol on the box, it must have figured out what was the best deck for you and just gave it to you. That's really the only thing I can think of that happened." Tyler said, Twilight having a parchment and quill in her hands, writing down some of the things he said.
"Ok, now do you think you can tell me about your interesting choice of hair and eye color?" Twilight said, looking back up at Tyler. Tyler froze for a moment before looking at Twilight.
"My hair and eye color? What about them?" Tyler asked, feeling a bit confused. Twilight looked at Tyler like he was crazy.
"You have Blue Eyes and Red Hair, how do you live with something like that? Its so- So..." Twilight said, looking like she was trying to find the right word.
"Unnatural? Yah, I've been told that a lot you know. But I accept it." Tyler said, causing Twilight to go silent.
"Why...?" Twilight asked, causing Tyler to go silent. Twilight slowly set her parchment and quill down, looking concerned. Tyler breathed in and out, readying to tell her the answer.
"You see Twilight, I didn't always have Blue Eyes. I used to have beautiful Emerald Eyes that shone like the gem itself. I also had Brown Hair back then, it was quite nice. But then... I learned about Duel Monsters..." Tyler said, the two armored men hunching over for a moment, wings sprouting from there backs as they took to the sky with Twilight, Tyler, Marik, and Bakura in tow.
