Twilight asked herself, her hooves clopping on the floor as she paced back and forth through the castle. Being herself, she did tend to get worried over nothing. She thought about it. What could Celestia 'possibly' need me for? Maybe it's nothing. Maybe I'm just overreacting.. "Spike, I think we need to catch a train to Canterlot today..!" Twilight yelled through the hollow kingdom, leaving echoes of sound plummeting through the hallways. She sped up her pace, trotting to his room. She opened the door to reveal the small dragon under the covers of his bed, sleeping. Her magic picked up the sheets and threw them across the room, quite harshly. "Spike, wake up! It's important!" She yelled, basically jumping as her hooves clopped up and down in anticipation. He groaned. "What is so important, Twilight? I was having a good dream...." He sighed. Twilight smirked. "What was this dream about?" She chuckled. "Ugh nevermind. I'm up." He growled, getting up from his bed. "Why did you wake me up so early..?" He yawned, rubbing his eyes. "It's 12pm." She giggled. "It's hardly early." The dragon sighed. "This better be important, Twilight...." "In the Princess' words, it's important. So it's clearly importan-" Just then, their conversation was interrupted with a yell from the front of the castle. "Twilight!!" They yelled, causing the two to run towards the noise. They were greeted by a bounding pink horse and a rainbow-maned Pegasus. Twilight started to speak, "If you guys were wanting to go anywhere today, I can't because-" "SHH! We just had a question to ask!" Rainbow Dash butted in with. "Did you get a letter from Princess Celestia too??" Pinkie asked, excitedly. Oh, I guess everypony got a letter... She thought, nodding her head. "Weird, so did me and Pinkie. Maybe it's just the six of us or something?" Rainbow Dash said. "Anyways, we'd better get going. If everyone else got a letter they'll come too." And so, the three of them were off along with Spike. The train station seemed more full than usual. "Twilight, there are like, no free seats..." Rainbow Dash whispered. "It doesn't matter, as long as we make it to canterlot in one piece I don't care." Twilight answered, slightly snappy. "Everything ok, Twilight? You seem upset!" Pinkie said, slightly concerned. "Nothing to worry about, Pinkie. I'm just a little uncertain about why Celestia wants us in canterlot." "I swear, she's been pacing all morning." Spike added. "How would you know? You said you were asleep!" Twilight said. "Oh.. uh.. Eh.. hehe...." He laughed, awkwardly. Twilight smirked. "Hey Twilight, one more thing." Rainbow Dash said. "What?" "We're here." She said, starting to leave the train. "Oh.. Everypony is stopping here..." Twilight said, wondering why... Before being able to take another step into Canterlot, they heard somepony familiar calling out for them whilst galloping over. "There y'all are!" They yelled. It was Applejack. Twilight smiled at seeing her. "Oh goodness, we were wondering if we'd ever find you..." Fluttershy said, fluttering over. "Where's Rarity..?" Twilight asked. "I was about to ask y'all the same thing..." Applejack said. "Strange. I swear I saw her yesterday.." Just then, the ponies heard hooves clopping towards them, only to see Rarity. "Oh darlings, don't scare me like that again!~" Rarity chirped, smiling at them. "Where were you...?" Twilight asked. "I came here much earlier than everypony else must have, so I browsed Canterlot for a while!~" "Were you expecting us to know exactly where you were?" Twilight asked, starting to walk towards a large crowd outside of the castle. "What is going on, darlings?~" Rarity asked, staring at the balcony where the rest of the princesses stood. "Twilight, don't you suppose that you're supposed to be up there?~" Twilight sighed and looked up at the balcony. Celestia did seem to be waiting for someone. "I guess I 'have' to go, girls.." Twilight mumbled. She waved her hoof towards her friends before manoeuvring through the crowd. Luckily, they let her pass easily as she appeared to need to go up there.. Good thing she was right as when she made it to the castle doors, there were many guards. They let her through luckily. She galloped up the many staircases and made it to the balcony. Celestia looked over from the clopping she heard behind her and gave a warm, reassuring smile. "I'm glad you made it, Twilight." Celestia said. Twilight smiled back. "I'm glad to have made it, myself. May I ask what is going on..?" "Let's just wait until everypony else has made it.." She said. Twilight nodded. "Yes, Princess." She awkwardly, moved towards Luna and Cadence. Twilight started to do 'Sunshine Sunshine' but Cadence stopped her. "Not here, Twilight!~" She giggled. Twilight blushed and little and laughed too. "You're right, I don't want to make a fool of myself!" She chuckled, looking forward. "When do you think the announcement will start?" She asked. "You're acting pretty antsy today, Twilight." Cadence answered her. "Just stay calm, the announcement will start when everypony is here. Twilight trotted towards the balcony and looked out for her friends. She saw them outside of the crowd, in their own little crowd. She smiled at seeing them laugh and smile. Just then, everypony quieted down to Celestia giving a sign of silence. "Everypony is gathered here today to discuss a very important matter. Throughout the decades, Equestria has stood tall and strong." "Me and my sister, Luna. Will now present to you, in the greatest example we have, what is happening." Celestia held a hoof out to her sister who moved beside her sister. Luna cleared her throat and began. "A long time ago, thy has not worried about the world's end as such an event seems as only a mares tale." "But thy are all here today to show everypony that Equestria will not be here forever." She ended her speaking and handed it to her sister. "A long time ago, the Unicorns, Pegasi and Earth Ponies had no peace against each other. They fought for days over who deserved the shelter, the food and the survival." "But one day, everypony was frozen by the windigo's and the three ponies that were left were nearly too frozen over.. But the windego's were thawed by the power of love and friendship." "I am sorry, but. It is over, my little ponies. The world is going to end in one day. You have one more day to live this. You have one more day to say goodbye.." Celestia looked at her sister and wrapped her wing around her. Twilight looked at Cadence in uncertainty. A look that said, what are we gonna do?. Everypony was silent. They all hugged each other and shook hands and cried. Twilight held onto Cadence. She let go and looked down the balcony at her friends... "Celestia..." Cadence whispered. "Yes, Cadence?" "Since we are.. Princesses... What happens to us...?" "We will survive this. We will survive the end.." "But.. What is even happening? What is going to cause the world to end...??" "The strongest storm ever.." "But how do we survive? A-and.. SHINING!!" Cadence burst into tears and ran off as fast as possible. Celestia gave a sigh. Twilight ran off to find her friends as there was no hesitation to that. They were all going to be gone... She denied it in her head. They couldn't. They couldn't. She hurried through the crowd to get to her friends as fast as possible. When she saw them, a devastating sight was infront of her...
