The forest can be a dangerous place for any animal not prepared for dangers inside said forest, Fluttershy knew that first hand many times before.
From chipmunks to squirrels to even her own bunny running into the deep dark first of the Everfree. Though there are few animals trained to move and even avoid the animals inside.
For years now Fluttershy learned to adapt with the monsters in the Everfree very few were ever friendly to her. Some need kindness others need her stare, everyday there'd be odd occurrences in that forest. Be it one of her and her friends weekly adventures, or the times she and friends would have to save the world.
Everything in that forest was random, though tonight would be no different. A normal night, the soft wind blowing against the glass of her window as rain clouds were beginning to sprinkle around the area of the forest and town.
Sure, she was scared of thunder and lightening from time to time. Though the animals who all group up in her home kept her strong especially her pet bunny, Angel. Though he was somewhat of a little brat, he was the one who helped Fluttershy the most.
"Oh I hope everyone found a safe place to stay." She says aloud as Angel climbed on to her shoulder, he was the de facto leader when Fluttershy wasn't around. He took the time to warn everyone as it wasn't the best idea to stay out during the rain especially since it would take forever for Fluttershy to heal the sick animals if they neglected to follow instructions.
"Do you think they found some place safe?" She asks Angel, giving her a solid nod as Fluttershy sighed.
"You're right I shouldn't be worried, after all they always listen to you." He nods with a smug smile.
"We should get ready for bed." Yawning she began walking upstairs towards her bed room, unknown to her a bright rainbow flash happened as Angel looked outside. Running towards the window he looked out, he felt somewhat anxious there was an animal nearby who was hurt or at least lost.
Angel looked towards his master before looking at a small hole leading outside the house, crawling through the hole he ran towards the forest. As he ran through the forest, his pristine white coat began to get muddy as mud flicks hit his coat.
As he continued through the forest his ears moved to and fro before he heard the groan of a small animal. The yips sounded like thrills as it sounded in pain.
Continuing towards the sound he approached a small cave, inside there was a tall almost feminine looking creature inside. She had an almost blue looking dress along with its hair looking the same light shade of blue, it had red eyes as it brought up its hand a swirling shape of purple from its hand was pointed at Angel.
Though as soon as the creature spotted Angel it lowered its hand, Angel slowly approached the creature as he saw a small brown wet fluff ball in her arms. It looked as if it was shaking, on the floor was six weird looking red and white sphere like items.
The bag looked well worn, along with the balls on the ground there was one open as it was pointed at the creature. The creature tilted its head Angel ran towards the creature and looked at the creature in its arms.
It looked like a tiny fox, it's fur extremely wet as it shivered. It's furry white collar looked heavy around its neck.
"Garde." Was all the creature said as it hugged the small creature in its arms. Angel looked towards where he had entered before looking at the creature, he had to inform Fluttershy and help the creature.
Earlier...
I gasped as I opened my eyes, my chest rising and lowering as I put my hand on my chest. I moved my head from side to side, I laughed as I tried to get up only to fall flat on my face.
"What the heck?" I asked as I looked around before trying to ride again only to fall again.
"What's going on?!" I shouted as I moved to my hands and feet, my eyes widen as let out a terrified yell.
"P-paws?!" I shouted as I looked at my pink paw pads, my fur was a light brown as I looked behind me to see my tail move to and fro.
"Giant tail." I said before falling over and fainting.
I didn't remember where I was when I woke up in this forest the sky wasn't clear like before, I don't remember the area but all I remember was walking into a storm. I wasn't unfamiliar with rain and I knew how I should hurry through an area to avoid getting sick.
I traveled with my friends, my Pokémon. They were my extended family and I had to protect them, though when I woke up I only remembered my Pokémon my bag and its contents scattered around the cave I woke up in.
I had walked for awhile dragging my ripped bag through the ground, after confirming I was indeed an eevee I had to gather my things and drag them through the forest. My pokéballs hit one another as I struggled to move forward. It was heavy and my new tiny form didn't make things easier, I was an eevee a one foot tall Pokémon at least I knew the world thought of me as adaptable as cruel a joke as it sounded.
"At least none of my friends can see me looking like this." I mumbled as I continued dragging my things. As a Pokémon I heard new things, or at least I heard voices.
"Momma what's that fox doing?" A much younger voice asked.
"I don't know, but he needs to get to shelter and fast. Rain's about to start and it won't stop till morning."
'Oh great, rain I knew today would just be perfect.' I mumbled as I pulled harder and continued sinking more into the muddy forest floor, the rain hadn't even started and my muzzle coated with mud and tail already muddy.
The first drop of water was like waiting for apocalypse, if I was going to get out of here I had to do it fast. Pulling with all my might I worked through my fatigue before I managed to get through almost half of what I thought was forest floor. In reality it was about 40 feet, 40 feet of pain and suffering. (Which was probably me falling into mud head first with my mouth open.)
"Can anyone help me? Perhaps a machamp!" Silence was all that was heard.
"I'll settle for dunsparce!" I shouted again, nothing came only the pitter patters of rain dropping on the leaves above me.
"Fine! If no Pokémon wants to help then I'll leave!" I shout as I continued dragging the bag, before I knew I had dragged my stuff another 40 feet. I was so tired I felt like just sleeping the middle of the forest, moving my bag strap I began smelling something. The smell was intoxicating, climbing into the bag I kicked something before finding Pokémon food. The smell was so intoxicating I decided that I didn't care that it was Pokémon food.
As I began eating the taste was amazing, the fruity taste along with the meaty after taste was something of a blissing.
"Master?" I heard someone ask, climbing out of the bag my mouth full of food as I spotted my Pokémon and best friend Felicia, or Gardevoir as her real Pokémon name was.
"Phelicia?" I asked mouth full of food as I swallowed the rest I looked up to see her crouched down. She looked into my bag, smiling as she picked me up.
"M-master is that you?" Felicia asked she had lifted you up before pulling on my tail I squirmed in response as instinct I attempted to bite her.
"Oh I'm sorry." She says letting go of my tail.
"Don't do that! My tail's sen-, oh my gosh I just said my tail." I mumbled
"H-how did you become a Pokémon? Your aura is still there, but why a Pokémon?" She asks
"I dunno, but I know this Pokémon food tastes soooo good. If I knew this tasted good I would've eaten it sooner." My mouth was still full with the food in my mouth, it seemed like Felicia wasn't as amused as she had grabbed my bag and placed her pokéball back into where I stored my other Pokémon in. She continued carrying me until we ended up back in the cave I woke up in, it only took five steps.
"Oh come on?!" I shouted with annoyance
"What's wrong?" She asks
"It took me an hour and half to go five steps? I hate this tiny body!"
"I have to disagree you look rather adorable!" With a sigh I shook my head.
"If I take a bath and dry myself off I'll be a puff ball, a tiny light brown tuft of fur who's existence is because someone gets a kick out of making me suffer." I was getting depressed as I laid my head on my paws, my tail drooped as I whined a little.
Suddenly making cries was easy, I was slowly turning into actual eevee. I had a couple of stones in my bag that I haven't used, I had to make sure not to evolve if I wanted to find a way to go back to a human. After all I didn't know if evolving would permanently turn me into an Pokémon but I didn't want to risk it.
After a little while in the cave it was certain that me and Felicia couldn't actually leave, the rain began pouring so heavily that it would honest let cause some sort of danger to the both of us. I've seen Felicia when she began her evolutionary stages, as a Ralts Felicia was always cautious keeping an eye on her surroundings and even staying out of her ball to keep me safe. When she evolved into a Kirlia she became even more protective, often taking the time to refuse orders that seemed dumb in battle. Though it did get annoying when she'd just sit there while the other trainer wait for my move, often times I'd just switch to one of my other Pokémon.
Which surprise, surprise would upset her. Though after she noticed that I used her less and less in battle she decided to take my orders, surprising her when she won a battle with my less then smart battle choices.
Shortly after she evolved into a Gardevior, she basically became my team's powerhouse. Often times she'd put so much damage to a trainer's Pokémon that I had to stop the fight to see if the trainer's Pokémon was okay. Though every time she'd caused that much damage, she'd even be regretful and try to help the best she could.
She was one of if not a Pokémon I needed to be around, she protected me the best she could and I needed her even now.
"It's getting cold, maybe we should call out Rook?" Felicia suggested.
"No, she'd get cold and with the mud around us it'll just make the fire last a few minutes." As much as I wanted Rook to be out, she'd be injured and seeing as I didn't know where I was or even how to get to a nearby Pokémon center without a pokéball being thrown at me. It was best if we just huddle together for warmth.
With a sigh Felicia continued petting my damp coat along with the caked on mud.
"Huh?" She questioned as I closed my eyes to sleep.
Later...
Arriving back to his home Angel crawled back into the house, his fur wet along with it stained by the mud. He ran upstairs and entered his master's room, climbing to the top of a nearby bookshelf he jumped landing on Fluttershy's chest.
"Ouch! Angel? Why are you filthy and wet?" Fluttershy asks, Angel began pointing towards the forest and tried his best to communicate to her. Though he knew he got through to her, with a gasp Fluttershy rose from bed and flew over to her window out looking the forest.
"Angel go wake up Harry, if there's an odd creature out in the forest you can lead us right?" She asked as he saluted and ran downstairs.
The large grizzly now covered in water as he followed the now brown bunny through the forest, Fluttershy ran beside them as her wings would properly be able to move.
"Over there Angel? Are you sure?" She asks as the bunny nodded and ran towards the dark cave, as they went deeper into the cave there sat an odd looking creature. It sat with its legs crossed as it brushed a wet and shaky looking fox.
The creature had a orange looking object on its chest, while it had a black dress with her hair a light blue. The small fox in her arms was a light brown, the creme tipped tail caked with dirt as it drooped.
"Garde!" It shouted as it held the fox with one arm while it raised the other protecting itself with a shield like bubble.
"N-no we're here to help." Fluttershy said approaching the creature, Fluttershy had a smile as the creature looked at her. It's expression with concern as it continuously looked at the fox and back at her.
"If you stay out here, you'll get sick. Please come with me, we'll clean your friend and keep him in a warm place. I promise." The creature lowered its protective shield, with a nod the creature picked up a satchel and brought it over her shoulder. It lowered its head covering the fox from getting anymore wet. Clearly this creature had a connection with the fox, Fluttershy would help any way she could.
Author's Note
You'll have to guess which pokemans and region our trainer is from, won't be easy though since his Pokémon are so diverse. Think of this as a spiritual successor to my other Eevee story I made when I first started, my embarrassing horrible story that of course sucks by my standards these days.
