It was a new day in Canterlot High. Because there were only 3 days left until the grand Halloween ball, you could hear anytime and anywhere about the event.

Fluttershy was walking to her locker. It was the break between History and Physical Education classes. Everywhere she was, she heard things like "Will you go to the Halloween ball?" and that was bugging her a bit.

The yellow-skinned girl opened her locker, took her sport clothes and walked to the changing room. There, she saw Rarity, already in her sport clothes.

"Hey, Rarity" Fluttershy said, soft as always.

"Hello, Flutters" Rarity replied. "How are you?"

The bell ringed and Fluttershy quickly changed in her sport clothes. She went outside with Rarity. The teacher was there. He announced that the girls will play volleyball and the boys will play football. The two girls were in the same team with Sunset Shimmer, Sonata Dusk and Adagio Dazzle. Because of this, Fluttershy and Rarity could talk.

"So, Rarity, um, can you make me a new Halloween costume? I don't want to go to the ball with my childish puppy costume. Everyone would laugh of me." Fluttershy said.

"Yes, I can, darling" Rarity replied, while hitting the volley ball. "What costume do you want?"

"Well, I'm not sure yet. Can I bring a photo of what I want?"

"Okay. Shall we meet at my home at ten past seven?"

"Good idea, Rarity." Fluttershy approved, while hitting the ball.

It was six past seven and Fluttershy arrived at the Carousel Boutique where Rarity lived. She opened the door, left her backpack next to the door and walked to ger friend.

"Hey, Fluttershy" Rarity waved. "Do you have the photo you promised??"

"Yes" the yellow girl unzipped her backpack and took out a photo with a beautiful-looking costume.

"Good idea" the white girl took the photo and went to the sewing machine. "First, I need the correct material and thread. Where did I leave them?" she looked around.

A couple of minutes later, Rarity found everything she needed and sat down, in front of the sewing machine. She started sewing and stitching.

Around two hours later, Rarity finished Fluttershy's costume.

"I love it!" she examined it. "Thank you so much, Rarity!"

"Oh, that's what friends are for, right?" her friend smiled.

Fluttershy went in the bathroom to try the costume on. She came out in around one minute.

"Oh, darling, you look wonderful!" Rarity clapped.

"Thanks" the yellow girl smiled.

It was the day the Halloween ball occured. Fluttershy and Rarity went there together. In the special event room, numerous students of all classes were dancing, eating, talking or just having fun.

When Fluttershy entered the room, everyone stopped to stare at her. They were shocked by her black and pink skeleton costume. They knew that Fluttershy wouldn't typically wear that kind of Halloween costume.

A few boys without girls to dance with went to her and asked her if she wanted to dance, but she always refused. She wanted to be only Rarity and herself.

The two girls walked to the dancefloor and started dancing on a well-known Halloween song.

"So, Fluttershy... Do you wanna dance with me?" Rarity asked.

"But, Rarity!" Fluttershy looked at her friend, shocked. "We're both girls!"

"I don't want to dance romantically, I just wanna dance with you."

"Okay, if you say so..."

The two girls went on the dancefloor and danced to the song that was playing. It was Rarity's favorite song. When that song ended, a pretty slow song started playing. Boys and girls danced together romantically.

"Um, Rarity, I'm kind of hungry" Fluttershy went to the snack table. "I'll be right back."

The yellow girl took a small bowl and filled it with a few sweets. She went back to Rarity and they ate the them.

"So... Do you want to dance again?" Rarity asked.

"Not now, I'm a bit tired" Fluttershy went into a place where there were a few places to sit down. Her friend joined her and they looked at everyone who were having fun.

After three songs ended, Fluttershy stood up and ran to the dancefloor. It was her favorite song: one by Songbird Serenade. She did the exact same dance the actual choreography was. Everyone stopped and stared at her while cheering. Fluttershy was happy that no one laughed of her. Rarity cheered her from where she sat. She stood up and joined Fluttershy.

After the song ended, everyone went to the yellow girl and congratulated her from doing that amazing dance. However, a new song started and everyone went back to dancing.

"Rarity, do you want to dance with me?" Fluttershy asked her friend.

"Oh, okay, Fluttershy" she replied and they started dancing again. Right in the middle of the song, Rarity kissed Fluttershy on her cheek. Everyone saw them and took photos, but Rarity and Fluttershy were happy that they were together.

The next day, Fluttershy and Rarity bought the monthly newspaper of Canterlot. The first story was about the Halloween ball and a photo involving the kiss from yesterday was there. The two cut the photo from the newspaper. The title of the subject was "Canterlot High School Students Rarity and Fluttershy Together?". A few other students were reading that subject and were laughing.

"Are you sure you want me to keep it?" Fluttershy asked her friend.

"Of course, darling" Rarity replied. "It's all yours now."

"Oh, um, thanks" the yellow girl replied and they hugged.
