Rarity was sitting on her bed combing her hair for her birthday dinner as it was her birthday and that she invited her friends. As she was finished getting ready she exited her place and went to the local diner to meet up with her friends and at the end of dinner have cake. As soon as she got there she clarified her reservation and waited for her friends.
After waiting for three minutes her friends arrived. Twilight and Pinkie sat at the left side and Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash sat at the right. As soon as they were settled they started up conversation.
"I'm glad you all got here! I'm happy to spend my birthday with all four of my friends." Rarity said happily.
"We're glad that we could make it! Was there anypony else you were going to invite?" Twilight asked her. Rarity furrowed her brow and spoke.
"Not that I know of." Rarity said. Twilight shrugged and they all ordered drinks. They all took sips of their beverages and relaxed. Soon they were talking and telling jokes while overall having a good time.
Rarity knew that this was a great idea. She lived spending time with her friends. She was glad that all of them could make it. Twilight smiled.
"How's the business going Rarity?" Rainbow Dash asked as she was curious.
"It's alright. I'm finally getting a lot more dresses done since I have a lot of time on my hooves but I'm glad I could go somewhere with my friends. That's always important to me." Rarity said smiling.
"Rainbow? How's the weather coming along?" Twilight asked. Rainbow Dash smiled.
"No storms are scheduled at all this week we will have nice weather all around." Rainbow Dash reported. Pinkie squealed with delight as it meant that she could do a lot of activities with her friends tonight.
"That's great. Now we won't have to cancel any activity in the future. Pinkie Pie exclaimed. Twilight then noticed Applejack wasn't with them. She furrowed her brow.
"Um..aren't we forgetting somepony?" Twilight asked. Rarity shrugged.
"No...everypony in our group is here! Who were you thinking of?" Rarity asked. Twilight thought to herself.
"What about Applejack?" Twilight asked. Rarity scratched her head not knowing where Twilight was going with this.
"Yeah I wish she was here." Fluttershy said.
"What about her?" Rarity asked confused. Twilight was dumbfounded that Rarity would answer like that. She struggled to come up with a way to question why Applejack wasn't with them.
"Why suddenly ask about that? She didn't come with us." Rarity said. Twilight narrowed her eyes.
"Why didn't we pick her up?" Twilight asked. Rarity shrugged.
"We were at a park. She didn't say anything about wanting to come spend time with me on my birthday other day." Rarity said.
"Well you don't know that. Maybe she was hoping that you would offer to take her with you and us but you decided not to so she probably went home disappointed." Twilight asked. Rarity scoffed.
"She didn't even send me a birthday card or aknowledged that it was my birthday." Rarity said in anger. Rainbow Dash became skeptical of this and questioned Rarities answer.
"Are you sure you checked your mail?" Rainbow Dash asked. Rarity shrugged,
"I did. No birthday card, no letter so she either doesn't care or couldent remember." Rarity said.
"That's highly unlikely. She probably wanted to come but couldent find her invitation." Twilight said. Rainbow Dash then figured out something peculiar she wondered if she should bring it up or keep quiet about it since it would make the atmosphere uncomfortable. She decided to speak up.
"Um Rarity?" Rainbow Dash asked. Rarity turned to Rainbow Dash.
"Yes Dash." Rarity asked.
"Remember when I was at your house for a sleepover just between the two of us and you were actually telling me about the invitations?" Rainbow asked. Rarity wondered where she was going with this.
"Yes?" She answered cautiously. Rainbow Dash changed her voice to a very suspicious tone.
"There were only four invitations. I counted while I was visiting before today. There was no fifth invitation. Also you didn't go to the local park I never saw you anywhere the day you were talking about because I was on weather duty." Rainbow Dash stated factually.
"That does seem a bit odd for you to say something but it turns out not to be true." Twilight said.
Rarity became extremely angry at them.
"What the hell are you suggesting!? What do you mean no fifth invitation!? What are you accusing me of?" Rarity yelled.
"I'm just pointing out how there was no extra invitations for anypony else. There were only ones for me, Pinkie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Where was hers?" She asked. Rarity tried to explain but Rainbow Dash cut her off.
"And don't lie!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. Rarity nodded and spoke deciding to tell the truth as she remembered what happened.
"Okay fine. I didn't send her an invitation because she didn't want to go!!" Rarity yelled as her friends were getting on her nerves.
"How do you know that?" Twilight asked. Rarity struggled to find an answer. There was so much pressure. How could she explain herself? She thought about what she did. She then realized that she should have asked if her friend wanted to come and then give her an invitation instead of not telling her. Rarity decided not to answer her. Twilight shook her head.
"Disgusting! It's your own birthday and you don't invite all of your friends." Twilight said. Rarity then decided to tell the truth.
"She's not my friend. That's why I didn't invite her." Rarity said looking down. Her friends became quiet as Twilight stood up and spoke in a angry tone.
"What did you just say?" Twilight asked slowly. Rarity looked up and saw that Twilight was mad.
"She's not your friend? She's not your friend?!" Twilight yelled. Raritys eyes widened. Twilight lowered her tone but spoke in anger.
"Shes not your friend? The pony that risks her time just to do stuff for you is not your friend?!" Twilight yelled.
"I can't believe you said something like that!!!! She's been with us for a long time!!! You to are friends! She likes you!!!! Twilight yelled.
"She hasn't done anything for me!!!" Rarity screamed. All of her friends gasped. Twilight was silent but then spoke.
"Fine then! If your going to act like that then go ahead! After all the things you've been through together your going to disregard all of it and spit on your relationship with her! Your disgusting Rarity! Your absolutely pathetic! Me and my friends don't trust you anymore you traitor! Come on girls lets go and comfort Applejack! Twilight exclaimed angrily. They all left leaving Rarity behind.
Rarity sat there as she had destroyed all of her friendships. She sat there. She looked around and saw she was all by herself. She could now order alcohol and wallow in despair as she had just threw all that she had cared for away.
She decided to fix it. She wrote a letter to Applejack apologizing to her and Rarity saw the honesty in her letter so she forgave her. She found our her friends reactions so she went to Rarity's party they all came back and Rarity explained herself.
"I'm sorry Applejack you have done stuff for me. You have always stuck you neck out for me. I don't hate you." She said. Applejack hugged her and spoke.
"It's okay it was just a misunderstanding." Applejack said. She then spoke to the others and they all decided to forgive Rarity and with that they all went to continue to enjoy Rarity's birthday.
