You wake up in an empty room, while being tied to a chair. You struggle to get out, but the rope used is too tight.
Suddenly, some spotlights are turned on. Ten spotlights are circled around you, one is focusing on you and the last one is focusing on a spot in front of you, in which a small purple and green dragon is, with a microphone in one of his hands.
"Hello, everypony!" he says and a cheering track is heard. That makes you raise one of your eyebrows in confusion.
"What is this place?" you ask, looking around the room. "Why am I here?"
"No time for questions, Anon" the baby dragon smiles. "My name is Spike. Welcome to 'The Romantic Partner Contest'!" he says, while the cheering track is played again.
"'The Romantic Partner Contest'?!" you exclaim, shocked. You try again to escape, still failing. "I don't want to get a romantic partner!"
"You will" Spike says. "Now, let's meet the contestants!" While he says this, one pony steps into a spotlight. She has purple skin, indigo hair with a pink strand, purple eyes and something purple and sharp sticking out of her forehead. "The first contestant is Twilight Sparkle! Tell the audience and Anon more things about you."
"Okay" Twilight Sparkle says. "My name is Twilight Sparkle. I am one of Princess Celestia's students and I studied magic for about ten years."
"Good. Let's meet the next contestant!" Spike exclaims and a pink pony with pink hair and blue eyes steps into a spotlight. "This is Pinkie Pie!"
"Yep!" Pinkie Pie bounces. "I am the best party pony in Ponyville, possibly even in Equestria. I'm not sure. Anyways, if you need a party, I'm the pony!"
Another pony steps into a spotlight. This one has orange skin, blonde hair, green eyes and a brown country-like hat.
"Mah name is Applejack" she says. "Ah'm yer average farm pony and mah family and ah buck apples all day an' night."
"Awesome!" Spike says and another pony steps in a spotlight. She has white skin, purple hair, indigo eyes and, just like Twilight Sparkle, a horn sticking out of her head and a pair of wings on her back.
"My name is Rarity. I am a fashion designer and I dream to make a dress for Princess Celestia" she says, dreaming with open eyes.
Yet another pony steps into a spotlight. She has blue skin and rainbow-colored hair. She has some kind of wings. You notice that she has a weird tattoo-like thing on her flank.
"My name is Rainbow Dash and I can clear the sky in ten seconds flat!" she says, flying around you, until Spike signals her to go back to her place.
"Okay. We only have five more ponies to present and the you will be introduced to this game's basics" Spike excitedly mentions, looking at a camera that stood in front of him. "Fluttershy, come here! Don't be shy."
A yellow pony with pink hair and aqua eyes steps very slowly in a spotlight. She also has wings, just like Rainbow Dash.
"Spike, um, I'm, um, too shy to present myself" Fluttershy looks at the floor.
"It's okay" Spike smiles. "So, Fluttershy is a pegasus that has a great love for animals. Her pet bunny is named Angel!"
Four ponies step in the last free spotlights. One of them has cream skin and turquoise hair, another one has a horn on her head, pink skin and purple hair with a turquoise streak, another has white skin, a horn and wings and multicolored hair and the last one has pink skin, multicolored hair and wings and a horn.
"My name is Coco Pommel and I come from Manehattan. I am striving to become a fashion designer" the first one says.
"I am Starlight Glimmer" the second one mentions. "I previously unmarked a number of ponies, but that's the past now." She smiles.
"I am Princess Celestia and I rule Equestria. I also raise the sun in the morning." the first pony with wings and a horn says.
