Twilight was in her room reading a book wanting to have a bit of alone time as she was just tired from working. As she relaxed and read her book there was a knock on her door. She groaned and opened it up. Pinkie was standing there.
"Hi Twilight want to do something together?" Pinkie asked happily. As much as Twilight loved to spend time with Pinkie she didn't feel like going anywhere right now. She knew that she would have to tell Pinkie this and hoped that Pinkie would understand. She hoped that she didn't hurt Pinkies feelings if she told Pinkie that she would do it later.
"Well Twilight?! Are you ready!?" Pinkie asked happily. Twilight took a breath and spoke telling Pinkie as politely as she could that she didn't feel like it.
"I'm sorry Pinkie but not right now. Maybe a little later okay." Twilight said gently. Pinkies smile faded and her ears dropped. Twilight wondered why Pinkie could not understand that she wanted some time to herself and she would do it later with Pinkie.
"Oh. Okay I'll leave. Sorry for bothering you." Pinkie said walking away dejectedly. Twilight immediately felt bad. She knew Pinkie was going to be like this as Pinkie had very sensitive feelings.
"Pinkie I didn't mean it like that!" Twilight exclaimed as she was on the verge of tears. Pinkie didn't listen to her as she walked away. Twilight closed her door as tears streamed down her face.
"I wasn't trying to be a bitch! I thought that she would understand me having a bit of time to myself!" Twilight said as tears coated her face. She cried profusely as she felt horrible.Twilight walked up to her room in sadness as she couldn't believe that she hurt Pinkies feelings.
"Alls I did was tell Pinkie that I could hang out with her later! She acted like I yelled at her to go away or something!" Twilight cried. Twilight wanted to make Pinkie understand. She wanted to see Pinkie so she could get this mess straightened out. What was supposed to be a relaxing day for her turned into a stressful problem.
She decided to go to Rarity about her problem. When she got to Rarities she knocked on Rarities door and Rarity answered.
"Rarity Pinkie came to me while I was relaxing and Pinkie wanted to do something with me but I felt like I wanted some time to myself so I told her I would do it later in gentle way and she got really sad and I felt really awful! I just thought Pinkie would understand but she didn't." Twilight said getting upset. Rarity hugged her.
"It's okay Twilight I'll get some sense through her. You don't have to worry because I'll make sure she understands!" Rarity said.
"That's Rarity I really appreciate that." Twilight said. Rarity let Twilight be comfy and Rarity called Pinkie over by letter. Rarity talked to Twilight while Pinkie walked to Rarities. Soon Pinkie arrived.
"Don't worry I'll make her understand." Rarity said as Twilight walked out letting Rarity have a chat with Pinkie. Twilight waited knowing that Rarity would fix everything. Rarity had Pinkie enter the boutique and Rarity closed her door. Twilight was glad that everything was now being sorted out. Twilight waited for them as she could hear muffled talking. Twilight listened closely as she wanted to know how Rarity was making Pinkie understand and how Pinkie was taking it.
Twilight became confused as it sounded like Rarity raised her voice against Pinkie. Twilight didn't need Rarity to yell at Pinkie she just wanted for her to talk to her but she wasn't Rarity so she wouldn't question Rarities techniques. Twilight waited hoping Pinkie was understanding. Soon the talking stopped and Pinkie left Rarities boutique and Rarity walked out as well. Twilight saw that Pinkie was crying and she turned to Rarity. She also saw a mark on Pinkie's face.
"Don't worry Twilight I made her understand." Rarity said. Twilight was concerned.
"Rarity I didn't need you to yell at her. What else did you do? I saw a mark on her face." Twilight asked.
"I hit her to drive my point across." Rarity said. Twilight became uneasy when she heard Rarity. Twilight didn't need Rarity to hit her. Twilight hoped that she could figure out why Rarity was acting like this. She was shocked at Rarity hitting Pinkie. She thought that Pinkie didn't deserve being hit as Pinkie was just very playful and energetic and just needs to be talked gently to not be treated like crap.
"She needs to learn her place and obey authority like you and me. Not be so playful all the time." Rarity said. Twilight was shocked at what she hear.
Twilight wondered if Rarity did the right thing. Twilight got her mind focused on the present and spoke to Rarity.
"You didn't need to hit her Rarity. She's a very energetic lovable pony. Why did you hit her?" Twilight asked.
"Because she needs to learn!" Rarity said raising her voice. Twilight flinched knowing that Rarity wasn't herself.
"I know that Rarity but you didn't have to hurt her and you didn't have to raise your voice. You should have explained it to her in a calm manner." Twilight said calmly.
"Don't tell me what to do!" Rarity snarled. Twilight flinched wondering why Rarity was acting like this.
"I'm not trying to!" Twilight exclaimed. Rarity softened her expression.
"That's alright I see what your worried about. I would never treat her like crap she's my friend. I know I shouldn't have hit her either I just took it a little bit to far. I won't do that to her ever again." Rarity said. Twilight nodded.
"Okay thank you Rarity." Twilight said. Rarity kissed Twilight on the cheek and Twilight walked off as Rarity closed her door shocked at how Rarity acted but she wouldn't question it thinking that Pinkie wasn't to hurt. As soon as she got home she read a book and rested for a bit hoping that after she rested she could hang with Pinkie. After drinking some tea to calm herself and some relaxation she was ready to go on with her day as she was ready to see Pinkie.
Twilight couldn't wait to hang with her friend as she also hoped that she wasn't to hurt by Rarities hoof. Twilight went to Sugarcube Corner.
"Pinkie you still want to hang out?" Twilight asked happily. Pinkie turned to her. The mark could still be seen on Pinkies face. Pinkie smiled and spoke.
"Sure!" Pinkie exclaimed her sadness all gone. It must have worked. It still made Twilight uneasy though. She decided to bring it up.
"Rarity didn't hurt you that much did she? Twilight asked. Pinkie shook her head.
"No it's fine Twilight I now understand that you need some time yourself and I respect that." Pinkie said.
"I heard that she yelled at you. What did she do?" Twilight asked.
"Alls she did was give me a little scolding and slapped me. It made me understand not to overreact to my friends wanting some alone time for themselves and it wasn't that bad now come on!" Pinkie exclaimed. Twilight was happy that she could finally spend time with Pinkie while pushing Rarity from her mind. She was happy that Pinkie wasn't to hurt from Rarity hitting her.
They had fun going to the park and they made cupcakes together. Soon they were worn out for the day. They saw Rarity. Rarity kissed Twilight on the cheek. Twilight smiled as Rarity walked with them.
"How are you doing Twilight? Are you having fun?" Rarity asked Twilight. Twilight was confused by this. Hoping that she would as Pinkie he same question.
"I'm doing great. Me and Pinkie are having fun." Twilight said. Rarity glared at Pinkie.
"Is she behaving?" Rarity asked. Pinkie looked nervous. Twilight felt uncomfortable at how Rarity was treating Pinkie. Twilight was upset that Rarity didn't ask if Pinkie was having fun. Twilight answered hoping that Rarity would get off Pinkies case.
"Of coarse she is! You don't need to worry." Twilight said. Rarity spoke looking back to Twilight.
"Good. She better." Rarity said. Twilight was so confused at Rarity treating Pinkie like a child who couldn't have conversations. Twilight decided she needed to end this.
"Rarity please be nicer torwards Pinkie. She didn't do anything bad. Please don't yell at me or her she was just excited! Please!" Twilight exclaimed. Rarity sighed
"All right next time I'll be nicer to her. I'm sorry i didn't mean to make you upset." Rarity said. Twilight sighed glad that it was over.
"Thank you!" Twilight said. From that day forward Rarity changed how she acted towards Pinkie making sure she wasn't cruel but also made sure Pinkie understood.
