The leader of Delta 1-1 jumps and lands on a grenade to save his teammates. But instead of blowing him up, it sends him to the magical land of Equestria and ends up in the Everfree forest. Meanwhile, his team back on Earth is unable to find his body, marking him MIA.

This is my very first time writing a fanfic so I will need improvements in my writing so constructive criticism is appreciated and some suggestions as well.

I added gore tag because there will be violence.

Chapter 1: The day I did not expect to happen

Besides change, what would you think has been always with man? If you don't know, then it's war. War never changes, war has given mankind the greatest of innovations, and the darkest of hours. We have tried peace, we always do. But sooner or later, war will always occur. We can't stay peaceful forever. War has been with man ever since we became the most powerful species on the planet.

One of the products of those wars are soldiers. And I am one of them. I am Colonel Damien Stanford of the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta, or more commonly known as Delta Force. The things you need to know about me is that I'm a little random at times, but serious when needed. I lead a team of 5 codename Delta 6-0 which are me callsign soulblast(I know it's a wierd callsign, but it's the only one I can think of since it's my gamertag (yes I'm a gamer)), First Lieutenant Jefferson Smith callsign skull, Captain Marvin Kowalski callsign arxle, Major Yguel Santos callsign lucid and Lieutenant Colonel Hark Elle Jackson callsign razer.

So enough introductions for now.Currently, I'm underwater with my squad going to a small camp of terrorists to gather intelligence about any upcoming attacks to any Forward Operating Bases nearby. After 20 minutes of traversing the river, we finally came upon the camp. The camp had a small dock with a guard standing on it. And in the camp was a watchtower with a guard stationed inside. We silently rose our taking cover behind some mangrove trees.

"So, what's the plan soul?" asked Hark.

"Arxle will go to the right side of the dock with his hands over the water to catch the guard when I shoot him. Skull will go around and up that watchtower to kill the guard there on my call. Lucid and Razer, you guys watch out for anyone coming out. And silencers on."

"Already on." Skull says before going into the water. Arxle goes to the left side of the dock and raises his hands a few inches over the water. "This is soulblast. Check you status." I say on the radio. "I'm in position and ready to take out the guard." Skull radios back. "I'm in position" says Arxle on the radio. "Razer here. 2 hostiles outside." Razer radios in. "Alright, on my call drop 'em. Razer you take out one, Lucid, Drop the other." I say through the radio.

I take a deep breath and aim at the guard on the dock. "Fire." Almost instantly, four muffled shots were fired and four bodies dropped. The guard on the watchtower fell but was caught by Skull. The guard on the dock fell but was caught by Arxle's hands to prevent noise. And the two other guards dropped down on the ground dead.

"Good job now let's breach the building and get the intel." I met up with my team in the front door of an old cabin that staged as a camp for the terrorists. "Ok, stack up on the door" the four soldiers went to ether side of the door with 2 on each side. I opened the door, threw a flashbang in and quickly closed the door. "Breaching!" I yelled. the flashbang exploded and we entered the room. Ten hostiles each with a rifle in them still dazed from the flashbang and in a couple of seconds, we took them out. "Razer, secure any intel you can find and report to me afterwards. Lucid, radio an airlift outta here. The rest of you, form a defensive perimeter along this building." I ordered. "Yes sir." they said in unison. Just in the corner of my eye, I saw a terrorist barely alive pull a pin of a grenade and throws it a few feet away from us. "Grenade!" I yelled as I jumped and landed on top of the grenade to hopefully reduce the damage of the grenade to my teammates. I hear them yelling but I simply ignored it and closed my eyes. I waited and..... nothing happened. "a dud? but I swore that i saw-"

*BOOM*

I heard the grenade go off and a sudden flash of light envelops me and then everything went dark.

* 2 hours later*

I woke up with a headache that can give hangovers a run for their money. I slowly stood up and looked around. "Well shit. Either Heaven is a forest or this is a fucked up prank." I say to myself. Then I remembered the grenade. I quickly looked at my abdomen and surprisingly, there were no injuries. "Well, that's weird." It's a mystery I might never get the answer to. But there are more important matters to deal with. "I need to get a bearing on my surroundings and I need to know where the fuck I am" I say to no one in particular. What? I'm used to talking to myself. Before i set out I took inventory of everything I have. "Alright I got... twenty mags on my assault rifle, ten mags on my sniper rifle, twelve mags on my pistol, my combat knife, MREs, my sleeping bag, a flashlight, two canteens, binoculars, my tablet, laptop,(I'm surprised they're still working), chargers for both, my earphones, my powdered juice and instant noodles. Hey, MREs taste horrible so I need something to keep my taste-buds happy. Then unconsciously, I put my hand in my pocket and I felt something in there. Whet I took it from my pocket I saw that it was a pack of cigarettes and a lighter."Hm. I don't remember getting any cigarettes nor a lighter. Oh well."

I put the box of cigarettes and the lighter back In my pocket and started traversing the forest. "This forest feels familiar... plus this forest looks too cartoony to be a forest. The only forest I know that looks like this is the Everfree For-" Then it hit me. The reason this forest was way too cartoony is that it's supposed to be that way since this is from a cartoon. "I'm in the Everfree Forest!" I shouted in happiness and exitement. Of course a brony would be exited if he got to Equestria. Did I mention I'm a brony? No? Then you know now. But then I start thinking. "But if I'm here, and not back at the camp then... I'm MIA?"

*Back at the camp*

After the explosion, the remaining members of Delta 6-0 looked at where the grenade and their leader was but was surprised when they saw nothing.

"Where's Soul?" Asked Jefferson. "I don't know" replied Yguel. "Soul if this is a goddamn prank then I will get my own grenade and shove it up your ass!" Screamed Marvin with a hint of annoyance in his voice, but no one replied."Guys, hate to break it to ya, but our airlift's here." Yguel says to the team. "But what about Colonel? We don't know if he's alive or dead." Jefferson said worried about the Colonel. "That's the problem. If we can't find his body, then he can't be classified as KIA. So until we find him, he's MIA." Marvin told Jefferson. "So what do we do now?" Marvin asked. "We return to base, report everything, and find him. Hopefully." Razer tells his teammates as they enter their airlift one man short.

"Where's the Colonel?" The pilot asked since he knew who each of them were and what they looked like. "He took a grenade. First we saw the explosion, then when the dust cleared, we couldn't find his body." Razer told the pilot. "Well, shit. Sorry for that man" The pilot told Razer. "It's cool." "I guess he's MIA now right?" The pilot asked him curiously. "Yeah. He is. For now" Razer said to the pilot as he was getting back to his seat. "Well time is short so we better get moving" The pilot tells razer as the helicopter lifts off and heads back to base. "We'll find you soul, we'll find you." Each of the members of Delta 6-0 subconsciously says in their minds.
