The Closing of Sugarcube Corner

One day Twilight was going up to Sugarcube Corner to order a cupcake as she was done with having supper and wanted a treat. She couldn't wait to see her friend Pinkie Pie and talk to her about how Pinkies day was doing. As she got to Sugarcube Corner she saw that it was closed. She was weirded out as she knew it was a weekday. She saw a notice on the front door and it read that Sugarcube Corner as been officially closed down. Twilights brow furrowed at this. Pinkie never mentioned to her that the place she ran with the Cakes was closing.

Twilight was shocked at all of this. She never thought that Sugarcube Corner would close as she loved their sweets. She hoped it wasn't condemned as she knew that it was the biggest sweets seller in Ponyville as it beat out all of its competitors

Twilight started to look around town to try and find her friend to ask her about this sudden event. She looked at her friends places but she wasn't there. Soon she looked at all the sweet shops in Ponyville. Soon she found Pinkie Pie at a cake shop and pulled her to the side.

"Why is Sugarcube Corner closed?!" Twilight exclaimed. Pinkie rolled her eyes and led Twilight outside. Once Twilight was outside she spoke to her in hopes of answering all of the questions that were now racing through Twilights mind.

"Sugarcube Corner was closed Because it was hard paying the bills and but we are going to try and save it.

"Your not moving out are you?!" Twilight exclaimed hoping that wasn't the case as she was scared that her friend was moving out and she couldent bare to deal with that.

Don't worry I'm not moving out. I'm going to try to save Sugarcube Corner. If I can't I can still hang out with you and our friends plus my cousin Applejack." Pinkie said. Twilight was relieved that Pinkie wasn't moving and her and her friends could still see her but she was still shocked about the whole thing.

"But how are you going to make money?!" Twilight screeched. Pinkie calmly smiled.

"Ms Cake s setting up place to run her own bakery by herself and my dad is studying to be a restaurant manager." Pinkie said. Twilight was more calm now as she was happy that she could still see Pinkie and that the Cakes had other means to support themselves.

Twilight was still curious to how Pinkie was going to make money. She also wondered if her friends knew. She decided to ask about her friends first.

"Do our friends know?" Twilight asked. Pinkie smiled.

"I sent them all letters explaining the shutdown of Sugarcube Corner. I have that covered." Pinkie said. Twilight raised an eyebrow.

"Why couldn't you tell them up front?" Twilight asked skeptically.

"Because I didn't want to spend time doing that." Pinkie answered bluntly. Twilight was curious of where Pinkie was going to work she heard about the Cakes but not her.

"What are you going to do now? Are you going to work as a welder since you were certified a while back?" Twilight asked. Pinkie looked at her square in the eye.

"Yes I will work as a welder since I was certified a while back." Pinkie said. Twilight smiled happy for Pinkie.

"But what about sweets? And planning birthday parties? Are you giving all that up?" Twilight asked.

"I'll still bake sweets. I'll keep throwing parties I'm not going to stop doing that even if Sugarcube Corner closes. I'll even try to save Sugarcube Corner." Pinkie Pie stated smiling. Twilight sighed in relief and hugged her. Pinkie patted her on the back and spoke.

"Feel at ease now? I'm not leaving. I'm still the regular happy me!" Pinkie exclaimed joyously. Twilight smiled and breathed calmly.

"Yes I'm glad you could sort every thing out for me." Twilight stated.

"When will you start your welding job?" Twilight asked.

"A day from now. I'll do good." Pinkie promised.

"I know you will." Twilight sais.

"Now come on! Let's talk about a different subject! Do you want to somewhere? A park?" Pinkie asked getting up and looking at Twilight. Twilight smiled as she was happy for Pinkie for getting a brand new job.

"Sure! Let's go to a park!" Twilight stated. They both walked to the park and talked about their friends and how they both couldn't wait to see them three days from then. They gossiped about the news in town and they both ate a sweet that Pinkie shared. Soon Pinkie told Twilight to take her to her new place and Twilight took Pinkie back to where she was now living.

"Are all our friends happy for you?" Twilight asked.

"Yes they are so are my family! Are you happy for me?! Pinkie stated. Twilight smiled as she felt really happy for a Pinkie.

"I'm glad you got another job!" Twilight stated. They hugged and continued to enjoy their day together. Soon after a couple of days Pinkie continued to fight for Sugarcube Corner and finally she saved it with extra money she got from welding. She was able to pay off Sugarcube Corners dept and open it back up to the public.

Twilight and her friends were so happy that she got enough funds from her new job to keep it running. When she saved it they had a celebration.

Pinkie Pis reopened her garage near Sugarcube Corner. Pinkie Pie was glad that she saved Sugarcube Corner, she was happy that she could ease Twilights nerves about her moving. Soon Twilight came back to Sugarcube Corner and she became happy as she saw it back open.

"I'm so glad you saved the place Pinkie Pie!" Twilight told her. Pinkie Pie thanked her and they both hugged as they were both happy that Pinkie Pie saved Sugarube Corner and got a certification in welding. They were also happy that Pinkie Pie continued to weld.
