Chapter 32 Intervention

Previous Chapter

As we entered the base I was greeted by armed ponies aiming guns at Palutena.
“Really!? After what you just saw you still want to fight?” She complained, “Krueger they are being mean to me! You know what I'll talk to you another time. I'm out.” Palutena walked through a portal.

Hours later back in Equestria.

Palutena was busy building her afterlife for the warriors who died in her name, “I hope the other realms of my afterlife I have to build will be easier.” she muttered with a sigh, she had already created the hub and the various Angel, Valkyrie, Kitsune and other religious messengers that would maintain the flow of life and death of her worshippers, the punishment hell had been easy enough to create as all who sinned sufficiently would end up there. The hub is the arrival and departure zone for souls, which is dead center to all the realms each being a copy of the respective religion’s places of paradise and others that she thought would be interesting. She had seeded the world with monsters and the communities of the messengers to keep them from going insane. The monsters being outside the core walled sections with warnings to would be daredevils. Of course, if they died here they wouldn’t be dead they’d just have to wait to resurrect.

Everyone would retain their forms similar to how Dragon Ball Z’s afterlife worked but instead of just being for warriors it was for everyone with a single tough but fair judge meant to sort the dead out. He kept going on about his mahogany desk though.

She teleported to the location of the newest afterlife being built, The Elysian fields, and the crafter's heaven. The various crafters and heros would end up here for their services and deeds. An absolute paradise that would provide every want and need they would think about.

With some aid from Amaterasu, she built a facsimile of japan’s heaven and linked it to hers. A more mixed central heaven would be created next so all the various peoples could meet in neutral peace. Filled with shopping adventuring guilds, arena’s and fun. With a sigh Palutena put the last touches on the afterlife by leaving an avatar of each of my aspect groups to supervise each heaven and providing me with monthly reports. With the heavens completed and connected, she created one final mechanism, the life center, that would send new souls to the appropriate world and recycle the dead first with the damaged souls and then the souls residing in heaven the longest. And the ministry of death, which processes the recently dead. The life center with appropriate messengers as bureaucrats and reapers as the same for the ministry of death.

And now a place for the pets and animals, “annnnd done. And now to release all the mortal souls I absorbed,” the vast majority went straight for the life center to be recycled. Wiping her brow she let out a sigh of relief.

“onto the Power ranger base. Sigh will I ever get a rest?” shaking her head Palutena

With a deep sigh she trudged off to start on the base and vehicles.

hours had past

"Okay the base is done, staff vetted and B and C teams in training to back up A team.

Palutena teleported back home so she could snuggle with her kids and Celestia. Or that was the plan. Palutena stood in her temple throne room with everyone gathered and a banner hung from the ceiling that said "intervention" on it.

Buck me

Celestia waddled forward, Palutena rushed to her side to support her.

"Dear, this is an intervention. You've been working too hard!"

"What? I have only been working for several hours." Palutena replied

"It's been six days straight since we last talked and you have been working since."

Palutena winced, "it's really been that long?"

Everyone said "yes!"

"And not only that, you split yourself and were dealing with many other tasks at the same time."

"You need to rest, you need to start seeing a psychiatrist. One specialized in the unique problems the divine experience. More than that our kids miss you, I miss you."

Palutena leant into Celestia and held her.

"I am sorry dear, I am just trying to make up for lost time."

Celestia returned the gesture, "No, you're not. You're trying to run away from the pain of that damned tournament!"

Palutena flinched, "I am sorry Pally but you have to face this otherwise it'll just destroy you." Celestia added

"Believe us we have had a lot of issues to work through."

"Palutena let out a huge sigh, you're right of course. As much as it pains me to admit it. I have been trying to avoid thinking about things, it was easier to ignore it and work. Than to confront it. Look I'll go to the royal psychiatrist and see if we can't work out my mountain of issues."

"There's no hurry, take the time you need. You were there for us and we are there for you. You're not alone my love," Celestia said stroking Palutena's knee.

"You haven't had a real rest,"

"Ah…"

"Stone imprisonment doesn't count and likely exasperated the problem." Celestia interrupted

Palutena slumped down and grumbled.

"Look on the bright side at least your not a sociopath!" Pinkie interjected cheerfully.

"I think I'll leave the mental diagnosis to the professional." Palutena replied eyeing the pink mare.

Celestia smiled, "I set up an appointment for next Tuesday."

Palutena groaned,"you knew I'd agree?"

Celestia leant forward and kissed Palutena on the forehead,"don't take this the wrong way sweetie but you're very agreeable, especially when it concerns me and the foals. Nevermind the fact that you have a near pathological and neurotic need to help and please people."

"Is that really a bad thing? Isn't it what heroes are supposed to do?"

"When taken as far as you go? yes, my dear it is a bad thing." Celestia rebuked her.

Palutena crossed her arms and pouted grumbling.

"It's not that bad you'll just have to work at not being such a busy body."
