The Tale of the Dragon Slayer

Sunset had opted to wear a hoodie so she looked less threatening although it changed little about her apperence. She had her hood up to cover her helmet as she looked out the widow of the bus at the colourful lights of Manehatten. She always loved Manehatten at night as it reminded her of her first date with Twilight all those years back. Sunset,back then, decided to take her to a fancy resturant and then just over look the city. It was her first proper kiss as well. Sunset smiled to herself behind her helmet at the thought as she turned to look to the front of the bus as it was finally out of the Manehatten area.

Before anything else she had one thing she had to do.

Sunset had her hands in her pockets as she looked up at the Canterlot High statue. She stood as if she herself were also a statue.

"Can I help you?" A voice from behind spoke although Sunset didn't flinch or jump at the voice but only calmly turned around to face whoever the voice belonged to. What did shock her was it was Vice-Principal Luna who stood waiting for an answer. Sunset knew her old teacher would freak out so best get this over and done with. She removed her hood slowly to reveal her helemt and as she suspected,Luna did in fact freak out.

"Who are you?! Be gone you foul-"

"Monster? Not like you to call me that. Not since the Fall Formal,Luna," Sunset finished for her. Her voice was masked by voice changer that Octavia had fitted for her in her helmet. Luna stood in both shock and awe at the cyborg stood in front of her.

"Who...are you?" Luna asked carefully,still in a fight position as she wasn't about to let her guard down. Sunset reached behind her helmet and pressed two small buttons at the back causing the front to pop out of place slightly. Sunset then reached around with her right hand to remove the face plate as Luna watched in curiousity only to gasp when she saw who it was.

"No..it can't be...Sunset?"

"How do you do," Sunset responded with a light smile,dropping her hand that had the face plate in it to her side. Luna got out of her fighting position and stood slumped,her eyes darting all over Sunset as if she was trying to find something,anything that would explain what she was wittnessing right now.

"But..you died. I went to your funeral!"

"I had a funeral?" Sunset asked with a raised eyebrow. Only after a few seconds she let out a sigh,leaning back against the statue "So humour me. What bullshit story did Applejack tell you?"

"What do you-" Luna stopped before finally noticing the scarring on Sunset's once beautiful face,giving her the cue to not drag this out with boring question for the time being "-She told us you got hit by a truck while you were helping her on the farm. That you didn't ever see it coming,"

"You got that last bit right," Sunset scoffed,crossing her arms while shaking her head. She glanced at her phone for the time before pushing herself off the statue and into a normal standing position. Placing the face plate back into place she walked over to Luna and handed her a piece of paper with a number on it.

"While I'm sure you have a fuckton of questions I have really got somewhere else to be. Thats my number so if you feel these questions must desperatly be answered give me a text or call," Sunset spoke and before Luna could respond she was gone. Luna glanced down at the piece of paper before pursing her lips into a thin line.

"I need to tell Celestia..."

Sunset landed,without a sound,on Twilights windowledge before double checking this was her apartment. Sunset made sure the LED lights on her armour were off as they would draw unwanted attention. She looked through and saw nobody was in,seizing the opportunity to sneak inside. Sunset was ready to use some skills she learnt to open the window but quickly found out it was already open so she just lifted it up. That was..insanely dangerous. She'd talk to Twilight about that if the girl doesn't have a episode for too long. Slipping inside the apartment,Sunset was quick to stick to the shadowy parts,slowly opening the door and entering what seemed to be the living room. She paused quickly and walked into another part of the room where a TV was the only light source in a dark room. Sunset looked closer and noticed the one person she actually wanted to see today. Twilight.

Sunset had to hold back a sob as she looked at her former girlfriend. It had been 10 years. 10 god damn years but by god did she still love this girl with every fiber of her being.

Heh fiber. Punny. Sunset thought to herself. Sunset was so wrapped up in everything that when she took a small step forward she stepped on a chew toy that let out a loud squeak. She stayed in a slightly huntched poisition as she curled her hands into fists. Currently staring at the floor she slowly lifted her head to see Twilight had stood up and was staring directly at her with shock,fear,horror and awe all in one.

"Um...Hello," Sunset said awkwardly with a small wave. Twilight let out a glass shattering scream and threw the nearest thing to her person,which happened to be a hardback book, at Sunset. Sunset let out a small 'eep' before quickly dodging it,putting her hands in front of herself.

"Hey hey wait hold on I'm-woah!" She yelled as she ducked out of the way of more objects being thrown her way,jumping onto the small table in the corner of the room "You know you are acting pretty shocked that someone broke into your house even though you don't lock your damn window!"

"Shut up,you robbing bastard!" Twilight shouted,Spike now running into the room with a yelp. He saw Sunset and growled running up to her and launching forward. Sunset let out a 'tsk' sound,grabbing Spike quickly and shooting him with a sleep dart,laying him gently on the table. Twilight looked at her in fear and started to now back away,dropping the remote that was in her hand onto the soft,fluffy carpet.

"Twilight listen-"

"How do you know my name?"

"If you just let me speak-"

"No! You..I..l-leave me alone!" Twilight spoke scaredly,running towards the front door. Sunset decided that she had had enough of all this,her arm brace moving around until three shuriken were placed in her hand. With accuracy,Sunset threw the shuriken at the door,each on landing in vertal line inches from Twilights head. Twilight froze,her hand gripping the door knob as she began to shake before letting out a huge gulp.

"Sparky listen to me," Sunset spoke then noticed Twilight's quick change in character. Every part of her tensed and she seemed more angry now.

"..Only one person called me Sparky. And she's been dead 10 years now."

"But she's not dead she-"

"Sunset Shimmer is dead!"

"My lord hear me out woman!" Sunset yelled back,throwing her hands into the air. Twilight had now spun around to look at Sunset with a face that just screamed she was pissed off.

"How dare you break into my house and tell me all these lies!"

"Okay thats it!" Sunset yelled,detaching the braces that connected her helmet as a whole to her armour and whipping it off,throwing it to the ground before pointing to her own face. "Look at me Twilight! Look. At. Me. I'm not dead,I'm alive damnit! A L I V E! Alive!" Sunset spoke angrily while spelling out the last part for her. Sunset glared at Twilight before,once again,realising the entire situation causing her features to soften and her body to relax. There was a really awkward silence for what seemed like hours until Twilight finally spoke up.

"How...?"

"I was never really 'dead' per say. I did get stabbed however which is quite painful believe it or not," Sunset let out a light chuckle to try and lighten the mood but with no anvil. Sunset breathed in sharply before sighing.

"Tough crowd..." Sunset mumbled to herself,looking at the floor. She twiddled her thumbs together which made a slight scraping sound. She breathed in slightly before speaking.

"Look Twi I understand if you never want to talk to me again or even see me but I-" She stopped when she something cling to her as if her life depended on it. Sunset looked up to see Twilight cluching her torso tightly,a light sob breaking the silence after a while. She could only smile softly before wrapping her arms around Twilight.

"So I was late when it came to feelings again?"

"10 years too late you big dummy," Twilights voice cracked before she let out a happy laugh while tears began to fall down,burying her face as much as she could into Sunset's metallic chest. They stayed like that for what seemed like forever until Twilight pulled back slightly to look at Sunset's face,running a finger softy along the biggest one going diagonally from near the top of her eye on the left side right across to the middle of her cheek on the right side. After reaching the end of the scar,Twilight cupped Sunset's cheek and kissed her softly. Sunset didn't take long to kiss back as she had waited 10 years for this moment again,slipping her hands to Twilight's waist to pull her closer and deepen the kiss. Sunset was about to start something more..saucy until a loud knock at the door echoed.

"Ah!" Twilight and Sunset both cried out,jumping away from each other. Sunset's head darted around before she looked at Twilight for an idea on what to do. Twilight reacted quickly by grabbing Sunset's hand and dragged her over to the broom closet,swining the door to it open and pointing to the inside.

"In,"

"Can I get kiss first?" Sunset asked with puppy dog eyes which was just greeted by Twilight's 'I will actually kill you' face. Sunset scurred back into broom closet with a gulp.

"Right gotcha," Sunset said nervously but gave Twilight the finger guns before shutting the door. Twilight shook her head and walked over to the front door. Breathing in she answered the door only to see Rarity standing there with a sympathetic look. Before Twilight could even get a word in Rarity barged into her apartment and enveloped her in a tight hug.

"Oh gosh darling I'm so sorry I didn't get here sooner!"

"I didn't know I invited you here,"

"Oh you didn't!" Rarity gave her a massive smile,walking into Twilights apartment and leaving Twilight wondering if she should listen to what Rarity had to say or file for a restraining order. She gave in and let out a small sigh before turning around and freezing in place. Rarity had picked up Sunset's stray helmet that was on the carpet, the fashionesta twisting and turning it.

"Darling..what is this odd helemt doing on your carpet?" Rartiy asked with a raised eyebrow,blinking before turning her head to look at Twilight,who was pracitally sweating bullets but tried to play it cool. Stress on tired.

"Uh..I was..cosplaying.."

"On your own?"

"It winds me down,"

"But-"

"Rarity if you're here for the reason I think you are then you'll know I'm not in the mood for an interrogation." Twilight said firmly while her eyes narrowed slightly before stretching her arm out to Rarity, inviting her to give the helmet back. Rarity stiffened before slowly placing the helmet in Twilight's hand. Twilight gripped it and placed it on the table before spinning on her heel to look at Rarity. Before she could get a word Rarity now noticed Spike on the table with a dart sticking out of him.

"Now that..isn't for cosplay. Explain yourself,Twilight," Rarity spoke with a now annoyed tone. Twilight began to panic before looking over to the broom closet door opening slowly. She knew there was no way out of this one and just waited it out. Rarity whipped her head around to the sound and stared with concern as someone began to walk out but her concern was soon replaced with shock,horror,fear and confusion.

"No..that's..simply impossible.."

"¿Qué onda?" Sunset asked,raising a hand with a small smile. Rarity looked to Twilight then Sunset then Twilight then Sunset and so on until she made herself dizzy and faint, Sunset rushing over to catch her. Sunset could only let out a chuckle and look up at Twilight while she scooped up Rarity.

"Well at least she didn't scream like you did,"

"Yeah well she didn't have to witness her not so dead, now robotic girlfriend sneak into her house," Twilight spoke,looking at Sunset who had a really bored expression .
