You exited the dark school with jacket completely zipped up. Once you opened that door, the cold rushed you like a giant hand gripping around you. You readjusted your hood and made your way down to the parking lot. As you reached your car, the snow crunching behind you got your attention. Both Toshiro and Scarlet neared their cars about to take off into the cold foggy day. "Hey guys."

They turned their attention to you and smiled. Toshiro gave you a small wave then hopped in his car while Scarlet made his way over to you. "What's up Luma?"

"Just wanted to say hi to who I could before they went off for the holidays."

"You seem out of it, what's up?"

It was then that you noticed you had been scowling the entire time, no doubt from the thoughts you were having just a minute before. You perked up as if nothing happened. "What?! Nothing man, the cold was just getting to me."

"You're really bad at lying."

"You are, shut up."

"Come on. Spit it out."

"No."

"Oh look, I think Ember is coming this way."

"Ok ok, fine. I've been...crushing on this girl for about the past few months."

"I can't believe that worked."

"You are an evil person you know that?"

"Noted, but that's really it? Dude just go for it."

"That's what I've been trying to do."

"Well why hasn't it worked yet."

"I........get nervous and faint."

"Dude...that's.....awesome."

"Oh screw you."

"No not in a bad way. I mean that means you really like this girl."

"I still fail to see how this is awesome."

"You'll understand soon. By the way, why are you so afraid of my girlfriend anyway?"

"She propelled a guy through a window....using only her tail."

"That's a long story i'd rather not explain."

He gave you a fist bump and you both proceeded to your car. The drive home was made treacherous by the ice on the road. You suspected that something was about go down and your suspicions were proven right as soon as flipped on the radio. The host came on and began to speak. "What's up you people looking to jam out. We got some hot hits ready to go for your pleasure but first on the agenda. A ravaging snow storm is headed our way and it looks to be a monster. Weatherman are expecting a blizzard the size of hades so grab some comfort inside those cozy homes of yours and snuggle up because it will be cold."

"Oh you have got be kidding me."

You picked up the pace immediately despite the icy road and made it to your house. As you entered, your hand instantly flipped the switch for the heater. Within the next hour, you sat in your living warm but restless. Outside the snow whipped around as if were a violent hurricane, the storm was no longer on it's way, instead it sat directly on top of you. Any attempt to go outside would end up in almost immediate suicide. You made your way to the kitchen, a cup of hot coco in mind, and removed a mug from the cabinet. You stopped instantly as soon as you peered outside the window next to it. In the opening to the small woods behind your house, there was someone out there walking as if in a daze. The snow blinded any identity from being seen but you could tell it was a person. The person held her hand up as if to cough then fell into the white snow. Like a minute man from the olden days, you threw on your pants, shoes, and 2 to 3 coats and without thinking bolted into the freezing storm. Within seconds, the storm left you disoriented and freezing to the core. You couldn't however give up, whoever that was is still out there. You made it to the opening shaking and stumbling. It was hard to see but you could make out the figure being buried in the snow. A small mumble could be heard, the word, "Help."

You began to pick the person up until a slight cracking of wood got your attention. You peered behind you to see one specific tree toppling over right at you. With no time to react, you picked the person up and side stepped out of the way, the tree barely missing you. Another second passes allowing a large branch to smack you on the head. You dropped to the ground, your vision slightly blurring. It was obvious you were becoming unconscious. Before you could black out however, you wrapped your arms around the mysterious person who smelled interestingly reminiscent of apples. The world faded to black as the storm whipped around you in a frenzy. "Hey?...Wake up you dummy."

"Who....am I dead?"

"Far from it."

Your eyes barely opened, the light faded in making you close them. After a few seconds, you were finally able to adjust your view to your living room and you sitting on the couch. Next to you was the one person you never thought you'd see. "Wait...sis? What are you doing here and why are your boobs in my face?"

"I thought they may keep you warm and I feel I deserve a little more respect than that. I did save your life after all.

"Sorry Lumi, i'm just a little out of it. Give me a sec to like readjust my everything. If you don't mind, get those balloons out of my face."

"You deserve it stupid, rushing out there into this kind of storm."

"Well It wasn't just for anything I...wait where's...?!"

"Calm down Luma, she's over there. She's still unconsious."

"Wait she?" You peered over to the floor next to you. Sitting under a blanket and a pillow was a girl, one you knew all too well. That beautiful golden hair, those freckles, It was indeed the girl you had been trying to date since spring break......."Applejack?.......Well time to faint."

You began to come to the light moments later, the sound of two voices trailed throughout the room. One was Lumi's of course, the other sounded different, country even. "He did what now?"

"I'm telling you when I found you guys, he was wrapped around you like your own little blanket."

"He really wanted to save me? Is he just that nice?"

"Not just nice, he actuallymmf..."

Your hand shot up and was wrapped clear around her mouth not allowing another word to pass through. "Will you stop talking?"

"Ge..your..ha...off...my..mou.." You removed it and sat up peering around the room only to see Applejack waving at you. Without a word, you began to get up until Lumi's hand stopped you. "Don't you go awkwardly walking away now. I think it would be nice to show some attention to the girl you just saved. This is Luma and I'm Lumi, his twin sister"

You turned rubbing your hand in nervousness. "Sorry for the rudeness, I'm just shy around new people."

"Or around your....ow!" She said as she felt a pinch from you.

"Would you be quiet?"

"Fine, I have to leave anyway."

"Wait what?"

"The storm is breaking and I need to get back home to my beloved dog, wisp."

Do not do this, I know what you're planning. "Can't you just stay another second or an hour or two."

"Nope, wisp is getting hungry so I gotta go feed her."

You tried to stop her but to no success as she sped out the front door. Your head dropped and you returned to your spot on the couch. "Um...Sugarcube?"

Are you kidding me, she really says that?! Your cheeks began to light ever so slightly with red but it unnoticeable it seemed. "Sorry about that little episode there, I'm just really shy around new people."

"Ah'm sorry for intruding. If you want me to leave then that's fine."

"No no, please stay. We aren't sure if the storm will get worse again."

"Are ya sure? You don't seem to pleased to be here alone with me."

"Are you kidding, who wouldn't want to spend a day with y....I mean I'm fine trust me, just concerned."

"That sure is sweet of ya."

"Well since I'm not unconscious anymore, how about I make us something to drink. Coco good to you?"

"Darn tootin."

That accent...it's too much. "Well then let me see." Five minutes passed and you handed her the mug. "Well here ya go."

She took a sip and her eyes widened. "Ooooe! That sure is something else. You sure know how to set up some good coco."

"Unlike what the recipe recommends, I add in a mix of apple juice."

"Apple juice? Like from the store?"

"No no, I juice them myself. I get the best one from a place called Sweet apple acres."

"Really?! That's my farm."

"You mean you're the one who makes those beautiful things. Guess that makes sense considering they match yours."

"What was that?"

"Um..nothing j-just talking to myself is all." Why did I say that? Am I something of a stupid person to say that outloud in front of my crush?

The hours passed like nothing, both you and her sat on the couch together watching the christmas specials that were being aired until the big day. She checked her watch which read 7:00 PM and looked outside. The storm had subsided and everyone was free to leave their house. "Well I feel as though it might be time for me to go home. Ah reckon my family is worried sick."

"Do you really have to go, I mean what if you hurt something out there?"

"Ah'm fine trust me." As she neared the door, she limped, wincing in pain as she held her leg. "Just a little sprain."

At the speed of light, you were at her side. "I don't think that's just a little sprain. Let me take you home, you can't walk on that."

"Ah am fine, I can do this." She limped once again and dropped to a knee. You had had enough. You picked her up bridal style and carried her to your car. "W-what're you doing?"

"I'm not just gonna let a someone with a possible serious injury walk home unattended. Now where do you live?"

"I guess you're not giving me a choice. Drive north, ah'll give you directions."

Something was off as the ride continued. She was quiet all of a sudden, distant. Her eyes continuously stared out the window and her arms stayed crossed. Finally the barn lay in sight. You pulled up to the gate and got out to pick her back up. Like a lit fuse, she refused your help and started limping up the path to her home. "That doesn't seem easy to do, at least let me help you up there."

"Ah'm good, no thanks,"

"Well then you can just lean on me then."

"Ah said...Ah...am...good."

With that she disappeared into the acres, up to the house no doubt. You couldn't help but feel guilty for letting her be in pain like that but she was showing so much hostility it was impossible. You drove home and pondered her sudden change on the couch. "So nice and sweet, yet when I offered help, she completely turned on me. Maybe I'm the idiot for trying too hard to be the nice guy. Aw man, did I just lose my chance to talk to her again? Stupid, stupid, stupid." After everything that's happened today, sleep was, on it's own, the best idea ever. You flipped off the TV and proceeded upstairs to your room. The bed was like a giant target, it called to you with unbelievable success. The dream you had was more than vivid, it was downright realistic. You dreamt of somebody sneaking in through your window, cuddling up to you, a person who just so happened to look exactly like Applejack. Although....this dream felt a bit too realistic. Wake up! Your eyes shot open, your covers pulled back with you. In your bed only a few inches away slept Applejack. How the hell did she get into my house? You shook her, called her name, nothing. You instantly proceeded to your couch upon picking her up and set her down. You removed your phone and picked the loudest ringtone you could find. "Usually works to get Lumi up."

The tone echoed throughout the house shooting Applejack to a sitting position. "What in tarnation?!"

You silenced the tone and spoke, "Hey over here."

"Hey there Luma."

"Don't you just hey me. What are you doing here?"

"Sleeping of course."

"With me? In my house? In my bed?"

"That's where it was warmest."

"Look I like you, I really do, but you can't just magically appear in my house and not expect me to be a little concerned."

"Ah know. Ah'm sorry."

"Good, now I can take you home."

"You know what, ah'm good here."

"Applejack I'm sorry but I can't just let you stay here. What about your family?."

"But ah really find this couch comfy."

"You ignored my question. Why don't you want to go home?"

"I just like it here. Please just let me stay here."

"What would your family think If I just kept you here without telling them. They must be worried sick, now come on.

"Please ah...ah just can't."

"H-hey what's wrong? You're tearing up. I really don't want you to go but....."

Suddenly her hand grabbed yours, her face hidden behind a veil of blonde hair. "Please..ya gotta understand....ah can't go back....not now....not ever."

"Not ever?...Applejack what happened between you and your family?"

"Ah don't wan....talk about it."

"I can't help you if you won't tell me." You brushed the hair covering her eyes to see them streaming with tears. "You know what? I won't pry. If you don't want to talk about it then that's where I'll leave it. You just stay here and rest ok?"

You began to walk away but felt her hand grip yours tighter. She pulled you into a hug and seemed determined to not let go. "Please s-stay with m-me."

Your eyes widened. Even after those countless months of trying to get with her, she never even knew you existed. Despite that, here she was, holding onto you as if you were the only thing she could trust. "I'll...stay."

"Thank you. I guess...ah should confess."

"Confess?"

"Ah've felt this way for a pretty long time now."

"You're not saying what I think you're saying are you?"

"Ah knew about back then. Ah saw all your attempts to be smooth towards me. Ah just never returned them. Wasn't until that day back in fall that I began to see what I was missing."

"That day?" Wait I remember that day.
