We’re having a Duel Monsters tournament, hosted by our school’s superintendent, PVZBrony!”, the message says. “I’m unsure about this. What will happen to Nick and Judy?”, Ben frets as we stand before the mirror which will take us to the human world. “Aw, don’t be such a worrywart. We’ll be fine!”, Nick comforts Ben. “Yeah! Let’s get to Canterlot High!”, Judy cheers. We walk through the portal. Judy starts screaming. “Calm down, Carrots! This is a temporary thing. But... I see you still have your cute ears.”, Nick consoles Judy. “But Nick... you’re a human too!”, she yelps. “We don’t have time to freak out about this, guys! We have to hear the rules!”, Ben tells us. PVZBrony appears. “Duelists! The tournament listings are posted at the school entrance.”, PVZBrony tells us. “If you lose, you must give up a rare card and you’re out of the tournament! Only give up the rare card if you lose while not in the first round.”, he explains. The four of us take a look at the listings. I’m up against Snips and Snails! That’s totally unfair, a 2v1! Red-Eyes Toon Dragon LV7 DARK Dragon/Toon 2400 ATK/2000 DEF “I end my turn!”, Derpy says. That Red-Eyes Toon Dragon looks pretty tough. Lucky for me, I have Pendulum Monsters on my side! “I’ll use Performapal Trampolynx and Performapal Lizardpaw to set the Pendulum Scale, and play Pendulum Shift, making Trampolynx’s Pendulum Scale value 1! Now I can Pendulum Summon monsters with levels 2 through 5! My monsters are ready... TO SWING INTO ACTION!!! If I have a Performapal in my other Pendulum Zone, I can destroy it to draw another card!”, I explain. I close my eyes, and draw my card. “I play the Magic card, Over The Rainbow! I can only activate it if my opponent’s Life Points are more than double mine! I can now attack your monster directly!”, I gloat. “Your monsters can’t beat me in one turn!”, Derpy nervously says. “That’s why I’m tributing my first Performapal Odd-Eyes Light Phoenix to make my other Performapal Odd-Eyes Light Phoenix gain 1000 ATK!”, I reply. Performapal Odd-Eyes Light Phoenix 2000 -> 3000 ATK “Now, I use the effect of Performapal Cheermole! If a monster’s ATK is higher than it’s original ATK, it gains 1000 ATK points!”, I continue. Performapal Odd-Eyes Light Phoenix 3000 -> 4000 ATK “This is the One Turn Kill! Phoenix, finish this!”, I order.
