Zootopia/MLP:FiM/Yugioh Crossover Fanfic: Canterlot High Battle Tournament

“Ethan! Snips and Snails were disqualified from the tournament for being too stupid to actually play. That means you’re automatically in the next round!”, PVZBrony enthusiastically tells me. “So, who am I facing in this round?”, I ask him. “This round is a special round. You and your three friends will be facing the Dazzlings!”, he says. My stomach lurches. “The Dazzlings?”, I ask in horror. “Yes. Your duel starts in 5 minutes!”, PVZBrony responds. Why would the Dazzlings, a music band, be in a Dueling tournament? I can’t waste time thinking about it, though. The match begins!

“My turn! I draw!”, Aria says. “I play the Magic Card, Gift of Friendship! It lets me give a card in my hand to my opponent! I’m giving you my Odd-Eyes, Ben!”, she says, before walking over to Ben and handing him a card. “Consider this an early prize. Be careful, though. The other Dazzlings play to win, and if you lose, bad things will happen.”, Aria warns. “I end my turn.”, she says. “Aria, what the hell are you doing? You were supposed to get a Fusion card on the field!”, Adagio scolds. “My turn! Draw!”, Nick yells. “I’ll use Performapal Trampolynx and Performapal Lizardpaw to set the Pendulum Scale, and play Pendulum Shift, making Trampolynx’s Pendulum Scale value 1! Now I can Pendulum Summon monsters with levels 2 through 5! My monsters are ready... TO SWING INTO ACTION!!! I Pendulum Summon my 2 Performapal Odd-Eyes Light Phoenixes and Performapal Cheermole! Now, I tribute one of my Odd-Eyes Light Phoenixes to increase my other Phoenix’s ATK by 1000! Next, I activate Cheermole’s effect to increase Phoenix’s ATK by 1000 again!”, Nick announces.

“Attack Aria directly!”, Nick orders.

Aria LOSES

Aria starts screaming in agony. “AAAAAUGH!!”, she cries. She then drops to the floor, unmoving. “Worthless brat.”, Sonata sneers. “What just happened?”, Judy demands. “This is no ordinary Duel... it’s a Shadow Game!”, Ben yelps. “Right you are, fool! The rules of this Shadow Game is that if your Life Points reach zero, you DIE!”, Adagio cackles. This is life or death! “Nani?”, Ben gasps. “I play a card facedown and end my turn!”, Nick uneasily says.

Judy: We’re facing off in a Yamino game against the Dazzlings! Adagio uses the power of the Rainbooms to perform a Summon that Ben’s never heard of, Spectrum Summon! And Sonata’s really bringing the heat with her Composition Monster, Ash-Eyes Inferno Dragon!

Nick: Judy, are we gonna make it out of this Duel alive?
