Apologize
One day Twilight was sitting at home studying She had been cooped up in her library all day as she had been focusing so much that her eyes were starting to strain. She wondered what her friends were doing. Soon there was a knock on the door. She got up and went over to the door to see if it was a pony who wanted to check a book out from the library. She opened it and saw Rarity. Rarity spoke.
"Hi Twilight! Me and our friends are going over to Ponyville park. We stopped here to see if you would like to come with us." Rarity said smiling hoping her friend could come with them.
"It would be so much fun if you came! I brought cupcakes!" Pinkie exclaimed. Twilight thought about going with her friends and her study's. She couldn't decide on what to do.
"Y'all coming Twi?" Applejack questioned. Twilight looked back to her studies and sighed turning back.
"I'm sorry but I have to get stuff done today. You girls go on ahead without me." Twilight said with a straight look on her face. Pinkies ears drooped as she was disappointed that Twilight couldn't go with them. Rarity spoke.
"Okay! Take care of yourself!" Come on girls let's head on out." Rarity said. They all started to walk away with Fluttershy following closely behind.
"See you later!" Rainbow Dash called. Twilight waved bye and closed her door. She then looked at her books and then she sat down and resumed her studies of different subjects. Twilight wondered about rejecting her friends suggestion. She didn't have time for hanging out in Ponyville Park as she was to busy studying.
Twilight focused constantly on her books and kept up her note taking. She couldn't stop as she didn't think it was good to stop. She had to get her studying done. She couldn't afford distractions. She had to avoid any distractions at all cost so that she could finish her studying. She hoped her friends didn't feel to sad that she didn't go with them.
She didn't get distracted by the time or anything. She just focused on her studying. She read profusely. She made sure to focus on history and math than anything else. She did equations for a bit and after that went to another segment of Equestrian history.
She wrote so much getting paragraphs completed in mere minutes. Soon while she was reading and writing notes her stomach growled. She groaned not wanting to stop. If she had to get up and feed herself then that would distract her from studying and she didn't want that. She kept her quill writing constant notes.
She focused on every word she wrote and scratched out any wrong words she wrote. If she did make any mistakes she would have to cross clean them off and try those parts again. The only thing in her mind was studying as she had to at least get most of the chapters done tonight. She wanted to get the whole thing done.
Time passed and Rarity knocked on the door. Twilight called for her to come in. As Rarity came in she still saw Twilight studying. She gave her looks of slight concern. She wondered on why Twilight didn't want to take a break as she could spend it with her friends. She walked up and spoke politely.
"Um Twilight? Do you want to do something together?" Rarity asked. Twilight still kept writing as she tried to come up with a response. Rarity stood in Twilights place awkwardly. She felt so uncomfortable as Twilight ignored her and she hoped that if Twilight responded it wouldn't be in anger.
"Twilight?" Rarity asked. Twilight sighed and stopped to look over to Rarity as she breathed erratically.
"What is it?" Twilight asked her eye twitching. Rarity was surprised by Twilights tone. Rarity stuttered.
"Please don't be mad at me when I suggest this...I...I think you need a b-break...." Rarity stuttered nervously. Twilight sighed and spoke.
"I don't need any breaks." Twilight said. Rarity looked over at Twilight.
"Are you sure? When all of our friends including me were over here you seemed to be immersed in your studies and now I'm back and your still studying. Are you sure you don't need one? Studying can be stressful after a while? Rarity asked. Twilight took a deep breath and spoke once again.
"No...I don't." Twilight said as her patience was being tested. Rarity spoke shyly.
"You...look..like...you...d-do." Rarity responded. Twilights eye twitched and spoke her voice tinting at annoyance.
"No I DON'T. You have no idea what this is I'm trying to do!" Twilight stated getting a little frustrated.
"But you've been in here...all day....we are just making sure that you are okay." Rarity said.
"I'm fine!" Twilight exclaimed her frustration growing. Rarity flinched at Twilights tone and was getting a little bit upset. She took a breath.
"But...you've been working so hard. Don't...you want...to hang out with me and your friends?" Rarity asked. Twilight gritted her teeth. Rarity wondered if she should leave Twilight alone but she was so shocked by this she continued.
"Twilight? You don't look great. Please just hang with your friends." Rarity said. Twilight turned to Rarity and lost it.
"Stop talking!!" Twilight screamed startling Rarity. This got Rarity very upset as tears started to leave her eyes.
"I'm sorry!! You don't have to yell at me!!!" Rarity yelled her tears streaming down her face.
"Yes I'm going to yell at you! You keep bothering me!!" Twilight yelled in anger.
"I'm not trying to bother you!! I just wanted to spend time with you!! What's so wrong with that?!" Rarity yelled.
"I have to get my studying done!!" Twilight yelled. Rarity sobbed.
"Studying seems to be more important than friendship huh!?" Rarity screamed.
"Leave my fucking place!!!" Twilight screamed. Rarity sobbed as she lost her temper.
"Fine! I just wanted to spend time with you!!! Is that alright?! Is that alright I spend time with you?! Or is this essay more worthy than your own fucking friends?!" Rarity screamed as she stormed out and slammed the door. Twilight stood there in shock at what she had just witnessed. Rarity just exploded in anger. Twilight stood there hearing the silence of the room. Twilight replayed the moment in her memory.
Twilight looked around the room and saw that she was alone to finish her essay. She went right back to writing profusely at it. While she wrote it her mind played the situation that just transpired and she couldn't help but think about it. She still had her mind focused on her essay. Soon she finished it and as soon as she finished it her mind went back to Rarity.
Twilight was still in shock at how Rarity exploded like that. She had never seen Rarities temper explode until now. Twilight thought about what Rarity was over for. Rarity seemed like she really wanted to spend time with her and Rarity seemed really upset when Twilight was loosing her temper.
Twilight thought about it more and realized that she should take a break and didn't realize that as she was so impatient to get the essay done and that she could have took breaks and still do the essay. She felt her stomach growl and noticed that she was starving herself which shocked her. She made something for herself and ate it filling her appetite.
Soon when that was done she thought of an apology for Rarity. Thinking of an apology scared her but she knew that it was the ultimate way to fix this. She read a book to wait for a while so that Rarity could calm down more. She was so unsure of apologizing. She was super nervous but that didn't stop her from going over to Rarities place.
As she got there she stared at the door contemplating if the time was right for an apology she soon decided to get it over with and knocked on Rarities door. She was scared as she hoped that Rarity wouldn't allow her to apologize. Rarity opened the door and Twilight burst into tears.
"I'm so sorry for acting like a bitch!! I didn't mean to treat you like that and I realized that is should take breaks! I apologize as I was in the wrong and I treated you like crap as you only wanted to relax me and I get that now! I was so worried about my essay that I acted horrible to you and I never meant for that to happen!! I love you and my friends so much and I feel bad treating you like that over studying!! Please forgive me!!" Twilight apologized while crying. Twilight heaved out sobs as she lowered her head. Rarity smiled and lifted Twilights face.
"I forgive you." Rarity said hugging Twilight. Twilight was so thrilled as she was forgiven. Twilight hugged Rarity back as Rarity rubbed Twilights back to soothe her.
"It's alright Twilight. I love you." Rarity said softly. Rarity laid down on her couch and hugged Twilight as Twilight cried it all out. Rarity smiled and nuzzled Twilight lovingly and assured Twilight everything was okay.
"Your alright now Twilight! You are forgiven." Rarity said softly as Twilight cried. Rarity hugged Twilight as she waited for Twilight to stop. Rarity kissed Twilight on the forehead.
Soon Twilight calmed down and Rarity and Twilight looked at each other.
"See? It's all good. Your are forgiven." Rarity said. Twilight smiled as Rarity wiped Twilights tears away. Twilight was so happy that Rarity forgave her.
"I'm so sorry for acting like that to you!" Twilight apologized once again even though Rarity accepted her apology.
"I know I accepted your apology relax!" Rarity exclaimed smiling. Twilight calmed down. They both stayed in the hug happy it was over.
"Thank you for understanding Rarity I'll never act like that again. I can't believe I acted like that in the first place when alls you were suggesting was a break." Twilight said.
"It's okay Twilight. You were just stressed. Next time take it easy." Rarity said.
"Thanks Rarity! You still want to hang out?" Twilight said. Rarity nodded. They then both went to a park and ate a snack together and gossiped about the news. They also went shopping and Twilight commented on Rarities dresses. Rarity also studied science with Twilight as she was interested in a few topics.
They then went to a bookstore and bought cupcakes and talked over eating them at Sugarcube Corner. They also had a tickle fight which washed away all the negative stuff that happened and replaced it with a happier mood. Soon they both hugged and and said bye.
"Thanks for that Rarity I'll take it easy from now on so I don't act like that again." Twilight said.
"That would be good and if anything is bearing on your mind or your frustrated or tired from studying then take a break." Rarity suggested. Twilight smiled and hugged her once again.
"Thank you so much!" Twilight exclaimed happily. Rarity kissed Twilights forehead.
"Your welcome." Rarity said. Rarity and Twilight both went back to their homes happy that a sour day turned into a enjoyed night.
