Fluttershy worriedly looked to Discord. She was supposed to be happy, but she wasn't.
"Fluttershy? My dear, what's wrong?" asked Discord. "Aren't you happy we are getting married?" Hurt shone in his eyes, and Fluttershy felt her heart pang in pain.
"Of course I am!" replied Fluttershy quickly.
"Well, what are you so upset about?" asked Discord, narrowing his eyes.
"Well, now that we're getting married, we have to tell out friends that," replied Fluttershy, and she gulped. "I don't know how they will react, since they, um, don't like you very much." Discord rolled his eyes.
"Even though they hate me," confirmed Discord, growling the last three words,"They will want what makes you happy. And that is me!" Fluttershy giggled a bit.
"Of course you make me happy," said Fluttershy. "And I guess you're right. Want to go on a walk?" Discord shrugged.
"Sure, even if it will be too peaceful for my liking," replied Discord. They exited Fluttershy's cottage, and walked beside the Everfree Forest, taking in the fresh air, greenery, and all the animals thriving around them. "This actually is kind of nice." Discord for a split second turned pink when he realized he had said that aloud, and Fluttershy giggled.
"You don't dislike it as much as you claim, do you?" asked Fluttershy. Discord looked into her beautiful, teal eyes.
"I don't dislike it," replied Discord. "I love it. It reminds me of you." Lost in one another's eyes, they stopped walking, taking in the moment, and Discord leaned down to her, and gave her a long kiss. Fluttershy moaned, and ran her hooves down his neck, while he growled in response, his hands running through her mane. They pulled away eventually, smiling at one another.
"I love you, Discord," smiled Fluttershy, as Discord lifted her up.
"I love you too," replied Discord.
In the skies, Rainbow Dash flew around. She was going to pay a visit to her friend Fluttershy, when she saw two figures walking by the Everfree Forest. Rainbow recognized Fluttershy and Discord, and growled at the latter. What was he doing with her? Curious, she hid behind a lone cloud, and watched.
They stopped walking, and Discord said something, and Fluttershy's eyes were unreadable, but seemed surprised, in a way. Discord suddenly kissed Fluttershy, and it took all of Rainbow's self control to not fly down and attack Discord. Ooh, he was stone when her other friends found out about this. Rainbow noticed Fluttershy try to push him away. Discord lifted her up, and Rainbow zoomed away, to get the others.
"Discord, how are we going to tell them?" asked Fluttershy, still in Discord's arms as they started to head back to the cottage.
"I don't know, my dear," replied Discord. "If it was up to me, I would just tell them, but you would need to explain yourself so they wouldn't be mad." Fluttershy giggled. "What's so funny?"
"Before, when you were first reformed, you would just do what you thought was right, not caring if I got in trouble with my friends," mused Fluttershy. "But now, you consider my feelings." Discord raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Well, of course I care about your feelings, my dear, I love you," replied Discord. Fluttershy smiled.
"I know," replied Fluttershy. Somepony yelled out to them, and Fluttershy jumped out of Discord's arms in alarm, as he set down on all fours, and looked to the source of the yell. Fluttershy gasped as she saw her five best friends.
"Discord! Ya went too far this time!" cried Applejack in anger. Fluttershy tried to speak, before Twilight's magenta aura surrounded her, and pulled her towards them.
"I found a spell that the bearers of the Elements of Harmony can use, even if they don't have the elements," said Twilight. "So, we can blast you back to stone for this scandal!"
"What a vile thing!" gasped Rarity. "Kissing Fluttershy like that."
"Well, we're-" Discord was cut off when Rainbow pounced on him and punched him in the jaw.
"WE DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY!" screamed Rainbow. "YOU HAVE KISSED ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS!" Discord's jaw dropped, trying to make a sound, but her hoof was on his throat, and he couldn't breathe.
"Rainbow! Stop!" cried Fluttershy.
"No!" cried Rainbow. "He harassed you! Twilight, activate the spell."
"This meanie pants is going down!" said Pinkie cheerily. Twilight activated her horn, but Fluttershy jumped away, and pushed Rainbow, who cried out in alarm, off Discord, and held him in her arms. A bruise formed on his jaw.
"Discord, are you alright?" asked Fluttershy, and the others' jaws dropped.
"F-Fluttershy, why did you do that?" asked Twilight, trying to wrap her magenta aura around her. "I know you love animals, but you know as well as I do Discord needs to be put back into stone."
"Then you can encase me in stone with him!" snapped Fluttershy, whipping her head to Twilight, her eyes filled with anger.
"Darling, what's wrong with you?" asked Rarity.
"He cast a spell on 'er!" growled Applejack, as she ran over to Fluttershy, and grabbed her. Discord growled, and pounced on Applejack.
"Don't grab her like that!" hissed Discord. He looked apologetically to Fluttershy, and her eyes said she forgave him for the simple act.
"Discord, release Applejack," said Fluttershy softly. "We better tell them everything now."
"I'm sorry it has to be said like this," replied Discord.
"It's okay," sighed Fluttershy. Applejack got up, and walked to her four friends.
"You have a lot of explaining to do," hissed Rainbow, and the others glared at Fluttershy. "Why did you betray us to this monster?" Fluttershy narrowed her eyes.
"This 'monster' is going to be my future husband," replied Fluttershy. The ponies gasped. "I know this is a shock, but, we have been dating for ten months, and a few days ago, Discord proposed to me, and I accepted."
"Fluttershy, darling, excuse me, but how could you marry this monster?" blurted out Rarity. Rainbow looked ready to pounce on Discord.
"Why, I outta," started Rainbow, lifting into air, when her tail was encased in magenta aura.
"Rainbow, no," said Twilight. "We may not be happy with Fluttershy's decision, but we have to be happy with it. This is her choice, not ours. If she is happy, we should be happy." Fluttershy smiled at Twilight, tears welling in her eyes.
"Thank you," said Fluttershy.
"Ah know Discord put some sort of magic spell on 'er!" protested Applejack. Twilight shook her head.
"I cast a spell, and no sort of spell has led to her accepting his proposal," said Twilight. "She is, ugh, in love with Discord." The others' jaws dropped.
"We were going to tell you, honest!" quickly said Fluttershy. "We had no intention of hiding it from you any longer." Discord's ears lay flat, as he glared daggers at the five mares.
"You could have talked it out, and not attack me as your first choice!" hissed Discord. Rainbow put a hoof behind her head in embarrassment.
"Well, it was a shock, and my first instinct was to protect Fluttershy," said Rainbow. "Heh, I'm sorry." Applejack took her hat off her head and held it to her chest.
"Ah'm mighty sorry as well," said Applejack. "Can y'all forgive me?"
"I already have," replied Fluttershy, hugging Applejack.
"Do you know what this calls for?" cried Pinkie.
"NO!" cried everyone else.
"Maybe, you can plan our wedding," said Fluttershy, slightly pink.
"YAY!" exclaimed Pinkie.
