After the defeat of Gloriosa in the human world, Twilight Sparkle of our world found herself able to let go of her demon, Midnight Sparkle, however, she didn't know that being let go was all part of the plan. The entrance to Equestria now available, the curse has leaked into the land and found its way to her new host, Princess Twilight Sparkle. After waking from a nightmare Twilight Sparkle soon begins to feel that something about her is very different.

It starts small as nightmares too seeing figures in mirrors and hearing a voice whisper in her ear but as time goes on Twilight finds that it is not in her head! With the Princesses at her side she is protected but will she stay protected when the evil inside grows? Sunset Shimmer, Twilights friend from the human world comes through the portal to bring help once Twilight runs out of ideas on where to get help. Will they defeat Midnight from becoming free? Or is it all really just part of her plan?

In the end, the truth will be revealed and Midnight Sparkle will make sure of that!
