Inside of Carousel Boutique, Rarity was planning something different for the day. Something that could shock her friends FOREVER, or not.
"Oh, where are those girls?!" Rarity asked "I don't know how much longer I can handle this secret!"
"Handle what?" Sweetie Belle asked, trotting up beside her sister.
"Nothing! Nothing,” Rarity insisted. “I’m just waiting for my friends and.. Sweetie Belle, darling, can you play with your friends until I finish talking with mine? When they are away, I promise that I will play with you like sisters!"
Sweetie Belle found Rarity’s reaction rather odd, but it didn’t seem any more odd than usual. "Okay, Rarity." She agreed, thinking the secret was probably just random dress related thing.
Alone once again, Rarity breathed a sigh of relief. "I wonder what my sweet sister would think of me if she found out my secret?” She wondered out loud, but in her mind she was thinking. “She’s just too young, I think she isn't prepared already to know that I like to..."
But the ringing of the doorbell snapped her out of her thoughts. "Oh, they’re here!” She exclaimed, and frantically looked at herself in a mirror. “Let me adjust my mane... it’s fine. I can’t worry about that now!"
Rarity trotted to the door and opened it, trying to contain her excitement as she saw that all of her friends had arrived.
"Hi Rarity!" The girls greeted.
"Good morning, darlings! Do come in!" Rarity replied, and the ponies entered in the boutique in order of reach, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle and Applejack. "Would you like some tea, girls?" Rarity asked.
“That’s so generous of you, Rarity, we’d love some.” Twilight offered, and the rest of the girls nodded their heads in agreement (though Rainbow Dash and Applejack did so a little reluctantly)
"It's for my best friends, it’s hardly any trouble.” Rarity insisted and went to make the tea, hoping the distraction would give her time to work on how to best explain her secret.
After a lot of small talk to pass the time, and to socialize still, Rarity decided to finally tell the girls the secret that she had been keeping. But would they understand?
Gulping, Rarity said to her friends. "Girls, I want to show you all my new creation.”
“A new creation?" Fluttershy asked, to which Rarity nodded. “What is it? If you don’t us asking, that is.”
"Well... It's my new fragrance!” Rarity proudly declared, showing off a fancy bottle of a purple mist like substance. “But not just any fragrance, it's a special fragrance! This fragrance neutralizes any bad smells and odors, and makes whoever wears it smell pretty good!"
The girls were all simultaneously shocked "Oh, bravo, Rarity! Bravo!" They all proclaimed.
"So darlings..." Rarity cleared her throat, quieting the applause down. "Thank you all for the applause. But actually, that fragrance isn't the reason why I invited you all to my boutique."
"So... what is the reason?” Rainbow Dash asked.
"Well..." Rarity gulped again. Confessing this secret was going to be harder than she thought.
"Yes?" The girls all asked.
"The real reason that I asked you girls to come..." Rarity stuttered, still struggling to explain what she wanted.
"YES?" The girls asked again, some of them getting slightly impatient.
"Is because of a very deep secret that I hid from you for a long while! And, well.." Rarity explained, only partially. She knew it wasn’t good to drag this out, but she was finding it hard to muster up the courage to confess.
"YES?!" The girls asked once again, this time all of them starting to grow impatient (some more impatient than others).
"Well... do you see the dress I’m wearing?" Rarity asked them, pointing to her suspiciously long and fancy dress.
"Yes, but I don't see how that could have..." Twilight began, but was interrupted by Rarity.
"So, let me take off this dress..." Rarity replied, and she did. The next thing, was unexpected, nopony had been anticipating it. Taking off the dress, Rarity revealed a white and decorated diaper hugging her rump quite tightly! The girls didn’t know what to say!
It was Applejack who was the first to speak up. "Rarity, what is that?" She asked, even though she knew what it was.
"It's a... diaper, darling." Rarity replied.
"And why are you wearing a diaper?!" Rainbow Dash asked. “Is something wrong?”
"No, nothing’s wrong. It's... hard to explain, darling,” Rarity answered, then she sighed and took a deep breath. This was it, the moment she’d been anticipating and dreading. “I am an adult foal! I like to play and act like a foal,” She told her friends. “Please, girls, don't misunderstand me! I discovered that I like so much this. It's fun!"
But before Rarity could say anything more Pinkie decided to talk too. "Oh! Oh! I like fun! If you say it’s fun it probably is!” She declared. “Why would we be mad with you for that?”
Twilight entered in the talk and added. "Rarity, you are our friend. I know this is hard to comprehend, but if you like it, we’ll respect your decision. Am I right, Pinkie?" She asked.
"YUP!” Pinkie happily declared. “Rarity you are our friend, we love you and nothing will change this!"
“Maybe not, but it’s probably going to take some getting used to for some of us,” Rainbow Dash replied. “Not sure about the rest of you, but I think the idea of Rarity in a diaper is going to take a while to sink in.”
Applejack and Fluttershy nodded. Though Fluttershy chimed in. “I have to admit, you look kind of cute in that diaper, Rarity.”
"Really, darlings?!” Rarity asked, to which each of her friends nodded. Unable to resist letting a few tears fall out, the fashionista declared. “I love you all!" Before she pulled them into a big group hug, there was a true sensation of friendship involved in it, even if some of them were a little put off by the idea.
After several seconds of hugging, however, Rarity felt strange and with a blush she said with a giggle "Oh, girls. I already said why I made this fragrance, didn’t I?"
But the girls only continued the hug all ponies as Applejack responded with "Yeah, why do you ask?”
Rarity blushed again, she knew what was going to happen. It was something that happens to all ponies sooner or later. For earlier that day, Rarity had taken Sweetie Belle to eat at a restaurant.
And so it began. Rarity's body take action. Her bowels and bladder released involuntary, because Rarity had already lost her continence and after that her diaper bulged front and backward almost instantly. It didn't take long for the ponies to smell the very foul odor coming from it, and Rarity became ashamed, much like Fluttershy in her shyer moments.
But the girls finished the hug before stepping back, and to lose the bad tension, Twilight nervously commented. "Well... I guess it’s a good thing you’re wearing a diaper!"
"Oh dear! Better test that fragrance soon!" Flutteshy said with her usual shy voice.
"Yeah!" Rainbow declared. “Let’s hope it works as well as you say it does! This smell is horrible!” And they did. Rarity took the fragrance out and her friends reluctantly helped her to spray in the diaper.
Almost immediately, the fragrance worked. There wasn't a foul odor coming from Rarity's diaper anymore, it was like the best smell in Equestria! Nopony remembered the foul odor, they just wanted to smell the very perfumed diaper that Rarity was wearing.
"WOW! It really works!" You are an excellent fragrance maker, Rarity!" All of the girls said at once.
"Thank you, darlings!” Rarity commented. “But I’m worried about one more thing now. How will I tell Sweetie Belle my secret? She's just so young and innocent."
Twilight thought for a moment, before she told her friend. "Rarity. I give your sister magic lessons, I have to say that your sister is very understanding. I can’t say for certain that she’ll like what she hears right away, but I think in time she’ll get used to the idea."
"Really?” Rarity asked, to which Twilight nodded. “Well, if you say so, I guess I will tell her! Thank you all, girls, for coming here and sharing this secret with me. But I suppose I should call Sweetie home now."
The other ponies thanked Rarity, said goodbye, and all departed for their homes.
Twilight was the last one to leave, and before she did she asked. "Er... Rarity, aren't you going to change yourself?"
. "And lose this beautiful smell?!" Rarity complained jokingly. Then she told Twilight. “I’ll probably change into a fresh diaper so I don’t get a rash, but I really like the smell from my fragrance, so I’m going to put some of it on my new diaper as well.
"Guess that makes sense,” Twilight concluded with a bit of insecurity. “Bye, Rarity!"
"Bye, Twilight!" Rarity called, waving until her friend was out of sight.
And with that, Rarity was alone once again. And that meant it was the time to call her little sister and tell her all about her secret. The thought of confessing to her little sister was scary, but Rarity plucked up courage. She’d confessed to her friends and they had accepted her, hopefully her little sister would be the understanding type as well.
Rarity called Sweetie Belle home, luckily Sweetie Belle had just finished playing with her friends.
After several minutes of waiting, Sweetie Belle arrived at the boutique. Rarity was a bit preoccupied with something, but insisted on talking anyway. "Sweetie Belle, darling." She said, clearing her throat.
"What is it, Rarity?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Is it alright if we talk for a bit?" Rarity asked her little sister, gesturing to the nearby couch.
“Sure!" Sweetie answered, suspecting nothing.
As Rarity moved to sit on the couch, she remembered something. She’d almost forgotten about her diaper. However, the fashionista knew it was too late to change, if she tried to leave now it would seem suspicious. Trying her best not to scrunch up her face, Rarity moved to carefully sit down on the couch and avoid making more of a mess. She breathed a small sigh of relief when Sweetie Belle didn’t seem to hear the faint squishing sound.
Once the two sisters had gotten comfortable on the couch in the boutique’s living room, Sweetie Belle started to smell something. “Rarity, what’s that smell? It’s beautiful!” She asked.
Rarity got up and cleared her throat. "Well, Sweetie Belle… I will tell you now, allow me to show you this!" And she showed Sweetie her diaper, decorated with her own custom designs.
"Rarity, why are you wearing a diaper?" Sweetie asked. “Are you sick or something? Did something bad happen to you? Are you not actually potty trained?
Rarity shook her head. "I’m perfectly fine, Sweetie Belle, darling... I simply discovered that I am what is known as an adult foal. So I like to use diapers and act like a baby, that's it. Oh! And the scent you smelt was just the fragrance I created to use in my diapers, so it could be odoriferous all the time.”
"Really?!" Sweetie Belle asked, a smile forming on her face.
"Yes,” Rarity replied. “Are you saying you don’t mind?” She had expected her little sister to be at least a little uncomfortable at seeing her in a diaper.
Sweetie smiled. “Of course I don’t mind. Can I play with you, please?! I would love to play like a baby, and maybe use a diaper too. Can you borrow your fragrance too? Everything seems like fun!" Sweetie said with joy.
Rarity could feel her heart skip a beat, her little sister had just asked to become her adult foal playmate. She wasn’t at all bothered by what she’d just learned. "Oh Sweetie... you are the best sister ever!" Rarity replied. “Of course we can play!”
"You too, Rarity!" Sweetie happily exclaimed. And Rarity and Sweetie Belle embraced each other in a joyful and loving hug of two babies, while Rarity was glad to see that Sweetie didn’t even noticed that she was still in a messy diaper. Sweetie Belle could be a silly filly sometimes.
