"Rainbow Daring Awesome Dash, you better get your ass in here, or else I will hunt you to the ends of this Earth! I will not rest until you feel an inch of the pain I am experiencing! I will make what you did to Applejack's shed look like foals play! I will find you, and rip you to pieces! I'll make pastry goods out of pieces of your organs and force feed you them! Make no mistake, I will make you very existence TARTARUS ON EARTH! Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaainbow Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash!"
Nurse Redheart walked out of the room where Rainbow's wife, Pinkie was. She trotted up to the Pegasus, and put a hoof on her shoulder. "Celestia help you" she frowned, before grabbing her mane and dragging her into the room to meet her maker. Or rather, her foals maker, or at least one half of it.
"H-Hey there Pinkie. How are you doing?" Rainbow unfolded her wings awkwardly. "How am I doing?!" Pinkie shrieked, as another contraction forced her to double over slightly in pain. "I will flay you until all that's left is bone for bucking me! I will take your skull and put it on a pike outside my house for all my enemies to see! I will- ooooooooh a cupcake!"
Sheepishly, Rainbow passed her the cupcake, which had a cloud shaped design on it. "I made it myself" Rainbow said proudly, conveniently forgetting to mention her many failed attempts while doing this. Pinkie's doctor walked in, and gave Rainbow a surprised glance, as if he was surprised that she was still alive.
Yeah right Rainbow snorted, tucking her wings neatly onto her back once more. As if I should be scared of Pinkie Pie. She tried not to think about her almost wetting herself at the full force of the bubbly earth ponies rage. "Okay Miss Pie, I am just going to give you a small sedative to help with the contractions.Then we can get started." He levitated a small needle filled with a clear liquid.
Pinkie sighed and closed her eyes as it entered her system. "Okie dokie lokie" she murmured, before snapping to attention, and pointing an accusing hoof at Rainbow "but she has to be there too!" From the evil grin she shot her, Rainbow knew the underline concept.I'm taking you down with me. "Okay, let's get this over with" Rainbow shook herself and followed after them. "It can't be that bad."
"It's bad! It's very,very bad!" Pinkie screamed, as the doctor bent down to look between her legs, which usually would of have gotten you a black eye, courtesy of Rainbow Dash, but right now, she was kind of occupied. That is, to say, trying to keep herself alive. "Your doing great Pinks,just hold out for a little bit longer" she smiled.
Pinkie, who had her hooves behind her neck, pulled her closer towards her. "Oh, believe me Dashie, I am not the one in danger." Rainbow tried to pull away, with limited success. "Oh?" She tried to sound innocent. "Oh no, because once this is over, the things I will do to you Dashall" She spat, using Dash's real name, who winced.
"Come on, I can see a head" the doctor encouraged, and Pinkie let out a moan, wrapping her hooves around Rainbow's neck and choking her. Not that Rainbow cared, she was too busy staring at the doctor. "Nearly there" he said, grabbing a green blanket. Rainbow suddenly felt nervous.What if it's a colts? She fretted. I don't know how to handle colts. Oh, why couldn't he of have picked a blue or pink blanket. Hey! Me and Pinkies colors!
After about thirty minutes,the doctors eyes widened. "What is it? What's wrong?" Rainbow demanded, rising to her hooves, and finally being able to pull away from Pinkie's hold. "The foals coming out the wrong way" he said gravely. "What does that mean?" Rainbow asked, heart thumping loudly. "We're going to have to help it get out, as it were, or else it and Pinkie Pie will die." Rainbow glanced at her wife. "What do I do" she asked instantly. The doctor's face creased in concentration. "You need to pull him out. Grab one of his legs."
Rainbow did so, and an imperceptible shudder ran through her. Celestia, she hated slimy things. But this was her foal, but it wasn't just hers, it was Pinkie's too, so she pulled, and Pinkie shrieked, but it was okay, the foal was coming out, and everything was fine, except for the fact that her coat was slimy now.
Pinkie let out a long breath, and the doctor smiled. "Congratulations Miss Pie-Dash, you have given birth to a beautiful filly Pegasus." With that he hurried out of the room to get the baby cleaned up. A slight silence descended between the two mares before Rainbow asked "I thought Earth Pony genes were dominant."
"Oh,yeah! Well my Granny Pie is a Pegasus so, the odds are probably greater then!" Pinkie smiled. Rainbow looked at her lover quizzically. "Granny Pie's a Pegasus?" Pinkie nodded like she was the slowest creature on the planet, when she was anything but. "How do you think I knew about the sonic rainboom, even though I didn't know that's what it was when I was a filly."
"Wait, wait, wait. Are you telling me that it was your Granny Pie who did the first Sonic Rainboom, and that's how you knew so much about it? Why didn't you tell me?" Rainbow demanded, but Pinkie, with her energy restored, giggled. "If you wanted to know, you could of have asked. Besides Dashie, don't you get what this means?"
Rainbow blinked slowly. "No?" It's just Pinkie. Roll with it. It's just Pinkie. Roll with it. It's just Pinki- "This means that our filly has the blood of the two fastest Pegasus in Equestria!" Pinkie announced triumphantly, waving her hooves in the air. Rainbow's heart skipped a beat, and a huge smile broke over her face. "Your right! She's right!" She announced to nopony. "She's going to be the best flyer in all of Equestria, and you" she turned her ruby colored gaze to Pinkie, serious for once. "Are going to be the best mother in all the history of best mothers."
Pinkie blushed and was about to say something, when her doctor came in, with their foal. He very gently handed her to Pinkie, then passed the birth cert to Rainbow Dash. Everything but the name was filled, as usually parents named their children after looks. Rainbow leaned over to look at her daughter and her breath caught.
She had a blue coat, but a much lighter shade than Rainbow's, a more icy blue. Her eyes were lighter than that. Her mane was wavy, and a darker, more subdued pink compared to Pinkie's, with splashes of Rainbow here and there. She cooed and very lightly batted Rainbow on the snout, much to Pinkie's delight. "She's going to be a troublemaker someday" she told Rainbow, smiling fondly at her.
"Someday? I'm pretty sure she got into quite a lot of trouble today already" Rainbow smiled down at her. The sound of a door being slammed open startled them, and they both snapped their head's up. Their friends were all standing there, staring at them in excitement and awe. "Hey you guys" Rainbow whispered, beckoning them over with her hoof. "Meet our newest group member."
They all crowded around, making 'aww' ing noises and cooing sounds. Pinkie cleared her throat. "You guy's know that we need a Godmother for this, and to be honest, we weren't sure how to pick one. All of you were so amazing. But . " she glanced nervously away. "But" Rainbow gave her a quick kiss on the head, before taking it back up. "We need somepony with experience, and who is good with foals. So, Applejack, how would you like to be her Godmother?"
The earth ponies eyes widened. "M-me? Are y'all sure? Because ah'm sure that there are other ponies more qualified-" Rainbow interrupted. "No, AJ, we need somepony like you. I'm" she scratched the back of her neck. "Not exactly experienced with fillies and such, not in the way you and Rarity and Pinkie are. Plus, your my friend, and Pinkie's cousin, so if you'll accept, then you can start work tomorrow- Ow, I was kidding!" They all laughed.
"Well, blow me down with a feather, of course I accept!" Applejack announced, much to Rainbow and Pinkie's relief. "Rainbow Dash!" A voice called, and Scootaloo skidded inside the room, and her eyes fell on the baby. "Is that?" Rainbow nodded, almost bursting from pride. "Scootaloo meet your niece."
"This is so cool!" Scootaloo bounded around the place. "I can show her how to ride a scooter, I can take her on adventures, maybe me and the Crusaders could help her find her cutie mark! What's her name?" The others turned to look at the two mares.
Rainbow wrapped her wings around Pinkie and pulled her close. She rested her head on Rainbows, and passed their beautiful, breathtaking,precious filly to her. She cradled her softly, as Pinkie fell asleep, but just before she did, she caught her eye, and she knew that they were in total agreement. "We were thinking Storm Warning. Storm Blitzen Warning."
